Those roles would probably claim if they're not willing to risk losing the vigilante.

I still think it's more likely that purp is lying, and I guess I don't see why it's less complicated if ame is lying, but I guess there's not much else I can say at this point.

The N1 vigi kill wouldn't be random, though, since then you've had a chance to see how people acted during D1. And strongman doesn't kill separately from mafia. Other kill combinations technically exist, but given that no one had openly roleclaimed (other than nano) one could be reasonably certain that there'd be one vigi kill and one maf kill.

If someone dies as the vigilante, why wouldn't the actual vigilante shoot to prove they exist? ...I don't see why a member of the town would ever say something like this. It's not helpful at all.

This situation implies that the vigilante never shot, and that the tailor would give Amber a role that would immediately be proven false upon his death (since no one dies when they'd kill him).

...frankly, if we're still in situation 1 then I wouldn't be surprised if Nicki is a tailored maf too.

....yikes okay that's going to make this incredibly messy. I guess then it's still possible for the second line of events to happen, but tailoring someone to be the bomb seems a little weird to me...

........fuck that's a good point. Does the tailored suit last the whole game? If it doesn't, then the second chain of events I've described still wouldn't work.

So in an attempt to clarify my position, this is the chain of events that I'm pushing: N0: Mafia kills L'Belle. Vigilante kills no one. Alistair copies Ame. D1: Alistair is lynched and dies displaying Ame's role (vigilante). N1: Ame targets and kills Amber who then explodes; mafia targets ame; doctor protects ame and both kills fail. No other visits succeed on Amber. This is the only way that Amber can be the bomb and be killed without having anyone die (though it can be generalized so that the doctor only has to protect the person targeting the bomb, whether mafia or vigilante- Ame being the vigilante is still largely an assumption on my part). This would be the other chain of events: N0: Mafia kill fails. Vigilante kills L'Belle. D1: Alistair is lynched. N1: Amber is killed by the mafia. Nicki visits Amber. Neither visitor dies. (and, presumably) D2: Ame is lynched and shows up as a tailored role. The issue I see with this is that two people would have to have false roles- both Amber and Ame. Amber would have to be the actress and Ame would have to be tailored here, but if this is the case then a mafia member would have to have died last night. Thus either the mafia killed one of their own last night or this situation doesn't make sense.

I'm still reasonably sure that ame's not lying and that something's weird about purp's softclaim, though this is such a mess that I'm not completely sure.

If we leave Ame alive, it's practically guaranteed that they'll kill her tonight.

They aren't told, and I'm also pretty sure that cop is the only thing that purp can be.

Well, if nothing else, I guess we'll see what Ame is for sure when she dies. It'd be better for us if she lives through the day since they'd have to use the strongman to kill her at night, under the assumption that the doctor ends up protecting her again...

I think there could be a second branch of 2 where Alistair was tailored or Ame is lying. But if purp also visited then it's unlikely that Amber was actually the bomb, and this is a mess. Purp, do you know that your action went through?

I went into the theory because of Kiet's post, but that's not to say it's a thing that's actually happening. I may have come off like I was treating it as something that was confirmed, but it'd definitely be a way to cover myself if I were mafia. It was more of the strategy I was expecting to be facing given the situation. Are you sure you weren't jailed?

...what would you be roleclaiming? The only thing I can see that would provide proof would be the watcher, and even then the only thing you know is that she killed someone (the bomb) and didn't die. Because he's voting Ame and "has his reasons" and didn't really actually state anything specifically. I'm still not completely sure about kiet either, but I'm at least more sure about Lykos. What makes you think he's town 100%?

I think that's just because Caimie suggested that it's what's actually happening rather than just a theory.

yeah, that was just because Ali said that I'm willing to "jump on any bandwagon that involves him" even though he was acting pretty similarly to how he usually does when he's maf and I countered it with "fine, if you're the actual vigilante, you can shoot me tonight."

I'd... really like to think I'm better at being maf than this. I can roleclaim too if it's absolutely necessary but I'm really hoping it's not. I'm not sure I understand what you need to hear from me?
