If you were to take an audio editing program such as Audacity, you could alter the speed of Mirage. It's really easy- I did it in about 40 seconds, and the underwater version is just at half speed. (Later edit: It has an even stronger underwater vibe if you run it through a low-pass filter too.)

Well, after finally getting through all of that... there's just a single linear path directly south, but if you go left or right, then after you surface/dive again, all of the remaining spots to surface are connected.

There's a number of ways to look at the branching path, so maybe I can frame it in a way that seems more palatable. While the path actually branches in E17, the branch is decided in the Water Treatment Center depending on whether or not you fight Taka. You get a lot of yes/no choices throughout the game, but this is easily the one that matters the most. Taka helps lead you along in the WTC to the extent that he's definitely betraying his father (he's on the side of Team Meteor, but the fact that there's a team involved isn't terribly important- he's there for Solaris). If you battled Taka, then you've helped him lie to his father about who he is (specifically, not a part of the Meteor club); if you didn't battle Taka, then Taka's lack of loyalty to the cause is laid bare. So you've already made the reality/fantasy choice and the rest is just follow-through. You get the storyline that you wanted: the boring one where everyone lies, or the interesting one where everyone stops. Your preference might swing either way, but the story is definitely just an expansion on that preference. And whether you want a real world or an ideal one...well, isn't that the question?

I honestly can't think of anything redeeming about Camilla. Just kind of hated seeing her in general. I can't see anything redeeming about her that isn't just a property of her position. Azura gets cleared up a bit in Revelations, so she might make more sense if you play that one. (though, to be honest, I never finished revelations- the third act just kind of left a bad taste in my mouth.) yoshi was my down+B.

I found (oh dear I can't believe I'm about to say this) FFVII as a whole to be fairly disappointing. It's just... such a bland game. It's not an active hate, it's more of an "eh, oh yeah, that game, right, it's a thing, sure, i suppose, i mean, technically, yeah...what were we talking about?" I personally really like Lyn and Azura from Fire Emblem(s), but I can get why people don't like them as much. Lucina's definitely my fave tho and i'll fight anyone who says she's not great.

So you know that one gym in E17? The one that's made of water? I've been running around it so many times that it's making me dizzy. Where am I supposed to go?

Everyone's got favorite characters, right? Least favorite characters, too? Characters everyone loves to hate? I...have a 3DS, so I've been playing: Smash Bros (the new one [for 3DS]) Bravely Default Metroid: Samus Returns Phoenix Wright Dual Destinies A lot of fire emblem (seriously so much fire emblem) and Reborn, since there's a new episode and my old save is on a laptop that softlocked :/

Perhaps shy wasn't quite the right word....maybe quiet fits better? A mix of both? I dunno. Regardless, I do appreciate the welcomes! I'll just be here and be me, whatever that is.
