Hi Zarc . I know it is not quite appropriate , but I always wondered how do you (and other players ) get through the game so fast ? It takes me like forever to even get to East most of the time , yet you are already in the dream realm , with team members oustide of your main six . What kind of special training are you guys on (because I would like some of that too )? On-topic , have you used delta snorlax ? I remember mine being able to carry my team throughout the entire game , being nearly impossible to kill by water types and sometimes other powerful pokemon like goodra due to reliable recovery , high sp.def and hp and yawn , so I was wondering about what most people thought of it .By the way, volcarona is really good once it gets to set up , it alone made a couple of tough battles a complete joke just because of quiver dance and substitute . Also , did Damian use max revive on deoxys ? Because it doesn't seem like he did against you ( he is the only trainer in the game that does that as far as I know ).

I do not have back ups ( don't know how to do them manually) and as I said there is no way for me to revert (that i know of ).I should clarify , I have checked the faq page and apart from the last line (the one that directs you to windows ) , which I do not understand , I have attempted all other methods mentioned but I have not had any success . For the record , here's my save file Game.rxdata

Can someone help me ? I know that insurgence isn't a pokemon game from this forum , but I have no other choice . My save file has been corrupted and there is no way for me to revert back to an older version . It happened while I was opening up the game and then it started lagging really badly , it gave me the " the script is taking too long " message and , due to past experiences , I tried to shut down the game but then it gave me a " saving failed " and my game was corrupted . What can I do to restore my game ?

Hydreigon I can kind of understand , though it's still not to be underestimated , but Garchomp is the definition of a Lighting Bruiser ice type weakness not wistanding , being faster ,stronger and even bulkier than alot of other pokemon while also having a not-so-bad offensive typing , with a movepool that provides at least neutral coverage for all types. Both of them are also more versatile than metagross , who is only more effective than the two of them when the mega is concerned . Besides, this thread is about over-used pokemon by important NPCs(so champion , rivals, gym leaders , villains etc) , and I would argue that Metagross is only slightly less used than this two . Then again , almost all pseudo-legendaries are over-used , it's just that Garchomp and Hydreigon are the worst offenders .

Hi everyone . I know this seems kind of random and I'm sorry if I have posted at the wrong section of the forum , but I noticed something while playing (many) pokemon fangames and I felt like discussing this . Anyways , with that out of the way , which pokemon(s) is , in your opinion , used a little too much in pokemon fangames as a team member for a supposedly powerful NPC (such as a main antagonist , an ally , a champion etc ). Also , are you tired of seeing them and why ? (You can also use examples from the same game ) [Warning ! This is a very biased post . This is not meant to offend anyone , but if I did , then I'm sorry ] Personally , I would say that almost all pseudo legendaries are overused/overexposured , but if I had to pick a specific pokemon or two from that category , it would be Garchomp and Hydreigon . Now , I understand why this two are the most commonly used out of the bunch . Both of them are exceptionally strong and hard to obtain , have only one crippling weakness and can be pretty challenging as long as the player does not pack that one weakness , have a surprising amount of bulk , are reasonably fast (especially Garchomp) , posses alot of utility and ,most importantly , are able to do all of that while looking very intimidating (Garchomp is a land shark and Hydreigon is a three headed dragon / a hydra ). Thus , they both make for a perfect candicate as a villain's ace ,which is why they are seen alot across numerous of fangames . Problem is , they appear so often as a villain's ace / team member to the point that the impact that they should have becomes nearly non-existent . They have practically become boring cliches , an easy way to paint any kind of antagonist as some sort of prodigy , a threat that you should be worried about . They are also used alot the same way by the character , taking on the role of an executioner (see Solaris' Garchomp and Baron's from Desolation ), which also serves to make the similarities between two or more characters from different stories really glaring (at least to me ) , despite the fact that those characters don't act or behave the same way (or function the same way in their own world's story ). All of that is why I personally believe that they are over-utilised and tiresome to see over and over again (but that is just me ), even if I like both pokemon alot . Again , I'm sorry if I have offended anyone . Also , I apologise if this is not the right place to talk about this subject .

Following up on this , we know that Laura and Bennett were in a relationship during the run of the Online league , which hasn't yet been showed in the game , and there is no other possible candidate for the last available position of the elite four , so chances are that he is here to stay unless Ame decides that Cal or Archlight could fill in , but I don't think so .Besides , for all we know Bennett never actually helped team meteor achieve their goals directly (I don't think that El is a member of team meteor , just a supporter/ally of Solaris), so it's possible that they (league officials ) just think that he was manipulated into helping them against his will . Thus, he could keep his position without a fuss. Regarding the admin battles , I expect a boss rush at some point where we will fight all the major team meteor commanders in multiple of double battles near the end , most likely right before the first battle with Lin but after the elite four , where you will face them with Cal , Cain and/or Victoria , with the order of battles being : you and Cain or Victoria (your choice ) vs Sirius and Sigmund , you and Cal vs Blake and Taka/ Solaris/Zero . I expect that the last battle with Fern in the story will take place during the liberation of Labradorra , since Florinia mentioned (I think ) that place to be where we will most likely meet Fern and I don't think that we will face him with the rest of the admins since he is our main rival and thus (even he ) deserves a proper final match with us . I'm certain that we will face Solaris in the desert with a mega garchomp in episode 17 , whether or not he will make it in the final battle depends on the story path you chose for that episode ( though that would be a pretty important , which this episode isn't supposed to have , so that probably won't happen because of this episode .Events from previous episodes might affect it though ) .As for Lin ,

What are your predictions for the future boss battles [who we will be battling, what pokemon they'll use (don't have to give the entire team ) , what strategies they will use with said pokemon , the "format" in which we will face them ( singles or doubles ) , when we will face them and how (field effects , situations )] and why do you think that they will happen the way you predicted ? I have thought about alot of possible scenarios ,because I have no life , but for now I would share my opinion on how the elite four will most likely face you .Personally , I think that the elite four will face you in different "formats" the first time you face them in the story and in your rematch post-game , battling them in a singles battle setting the first time and a doubles in your rematch . The reason for that has to do with the possible typings of the elite four in both circumstances .If my prediction of the elite four pokemon types in each "session" is correct , facing a bug,a flying, a normal and a psychic type elite trainer in the first and then switching out the normal type for the grass type elite trainer for the second (due to El's connection to team meteor being discovered after the first league challenge ) , then I believe that it would benefit El alot more if you faced him in a singles setting , since his type is probably the weakest in a doubles setting ( and Laura isn't nearly as threatening in singles as she is in doubles , unless the garden is half way completed by the start of the battle ) , not to mention that the others are already pretty threatening in both settings , so they are not bothered by the format in which you face them. The reason why I believe that the challenges will be setup like that is because , not only would it be an intresting way to switch things around from the original games ,which is something that Ame has been known to do with the field effects and other such features exclusive to Reborn , but it would be a nice way to add another layer of difficulty for the post game without resorting to cheap tactics ( such as a team of 6 legendaries ) or just straight up unfair advantages that you can't avoid or obtain ( like giving the enemy A.I. a Regigigas with huge power ) ,while at the same time giving every field effect and every enemy a chance to truly shine (what can be considered game breaking in one format may be a mild annoyance at best in another , like the doom desire buff in the space field , and vice versa ). As for what pokemon and strategies I think we will see , I think that Anna will use a Jirachi and Shadow Tag Gothitelle as a lead in the double battle to trap your lead pokemon in , setup trick room and use Gothitelle to build up calm mind boosts while protecting it with Jirachi to sweep/severaly damage your team . When those are done , she will switch into a more fast, offensive style probably using reuniclus (if trick room is up ) and a mega alakazam with dazzling gleam to finnish you off . With the seventh generation around , she might even use Tapu Lele . In singles , she would use a slower but more defensive-offensive team , using frail and bulky but powerful psychic type pokemon along with future sight and doom desire to slowly take out your team , possibly even giving some of her pokemon u-turn so that she can trap them in with Gothitelle , which can then setup on them while doom desire takes down your pokemon . Last but not least , she can utilize serene grace to flinch and paralyze you until the countdown ends .Bennet and Heather would use speed control in the form of tailwind in doubles and then attempt to overpower you with their aces (volcarona and mega salamence respectively ) while their other pokemon provides support and tries to shut down your support moves .In singles , Heather would use an all out offensive team with plenty of coverage moves to deal as much damage as possible , while Bennet would be trying to use sticky web and weaken your team enough with scizor , shuckle and araquanid so that his ace volcarona and maybe mega pinsir can finish you off.Laura would use as many moves as possible to speed up the completion of her terrain so that she can make her pokemon nearly unstoppable , while also protecting her completed terrain with rain dance or water sport . Last but not least , El would be using the most balanced team of pokemon out of all the elite four , having a Smeargle to place sticky web and stealth rock while putting your pokemon to sleep , using a Ditto to stop sweepers on their tracks , a Snorlax that can take special attacks and become harder to take down because of curse, a choice specs Swellow with boomburst ( didn't see that coming , did you ?) to revenge kill , Porygon 2 with eviolite to combat anything that snorlax can't , a choice banded bewear with fluffy and finally , a mega kangaskhan who needs no introduction . That's all I have to say right now . Sorry for the wall of text everyone .

My team in the redemption league , any suggestions on how I can improve it ?
-
I have to admit , I forgot of a few of this instances that were mentioned ( about Taka , ZEL and a few others ) where characters reacted to the suffering of the pokemon or showed affection . And I guess the argument about reborn's terrible state does explain why there is a certain lack of care from some NPCs that you wouldn't see in the mainseries games , so .... I guess I concede and I should start beating me over my head for forgetting some of these instances .Thank you everyone for your contribution to the topic I still stand by my opinion on Amaria's move , though . That being said , their are a few things I would like to address before I leave . In regards to the pokeballs , your pokemon do canonically sake with anger inside their pokeballs when Ghestis' Kyurem absorbs Reshiram/Zekrom , so I think that pokemon are aware of what is happening outside of their pokeballs.Aside from that , I understand why Corey's pokemon would want to go with a trainer after they were released , but not why they would join with the person who is partially responsible for said release and their trainer's death. That , I find kind of odd . That all being said , I do agree with the rest of the arguments .

In regards to seki108 , Cal does show hesitation in the current version but from my knowledge that wasn't added in until episode 12, giving the impression that he didn't really care for medicham up until ame added that in ( you can see that in shofu's playthrough if you want to confirm it ).Even then , he could of felt bad because he thinks that he was striking at his mentor by obeying Solaris and not really because he was ordered to kill medicham . The way I see it , the fact that they choose not to have the IVs be displayed to the players because it would turn pokemon into mere numbers if they did ( at least that is what I heard in relation to this topic ) shows that gamefreak doesn't actually want players to view pokemon that way . They propably just added those in so that pokemon of the same species can still feel unique compared to each other .Besides, you can still make up for bad IVs by EV training , so talent isn't end-all-be-all, especially since hyper training is a thing . Not to mention that they most likely didn't account for online battling when they first created IVs and EVs (and if they did , they decided on focusing on the single player experience instead of possibly ruin that for online battling). Another thing that you have to take into account is that you , as in the player character , are perfectly capable of having 15+ pokemon at max happiness ,so you do bond with every one of your pokemon .As for the last part , there is the Pokeamie in recent pokemon games , where playing with them and feeding them might make them more powerful later (only for single player ,though ). Personally , I consider pokemon to be (in-universe) almost at the same standing as humans , thus befriending a pokemon might as well mean that you are befriending a human .Which is why I find Amaria throwing herself along with her pokemon to their death to be rather out-of-character for her , since she is basically endangering the lives of her friends , even though part of reason why she attempted suicide was to free her friend from a burden ( that friend was the person she loved though ,but I still don't think that she would have done anything similiar if , for example , Julia or Florinia was threated to be killed if she jumped).Regardless , the fact that her pokemon didn't even attempt to save their trainer by themselves is also part of the reason why I believe the pokemon are rather out of focus in Reborn , or at least in this scene .As for Corey 's pokemon, would they really join forces with the stranger that , in one of the possible story paths, pushed their trainer to suicide with their actions ? The outcome may have been invetable but that still doesn't really absolve the player character of their guilt. At the very least I would have expected all of them to give you a fight before they let you catch , even if you do have the ring . I do sort of agree with the rest , but I guess I still like to think that the pokemon are individual characters . One could even say that the reason why we don't exactly see the development of our trainer and their pokemon in the mainseries games is the same reason that the player character is mute . We are supposed to imagine, based on what we already know , that they do just interact with each other but what they are actually doing that brings them together is entirely up to you.

Good morning everyone . Today , I've decided to start a topic about a certain that has been kind of bothering me in pokemon reborn and that is the treatment of the pokemon themselves. Everyone who has played a mainseries pokemon game would know that alot of emphasis is placed on the pokemon themselves. They are your partners , your friends,a family that will stick with you to the bitter end ,even if you have not been treating them especially well (but you have been nice to them in your own way of course ).The games go out of their way (well , not really ) to remind you that pokemon are sentient beings ,like you, and as such you should respect them , else you would be no better than the various evil organizations that you face in each game .Yet, ever since the beginning of pokemon reborn , pokemon have seemingly been pushed to the sidelines , with characters only barely acknowledging that some pokemon have been hurt or even killed , along with the fact that major trainers (and even pokemon themselves) seem to have completely forgotten about the bonds they've created with them or , sometimes , even their existence [ Amaria jumps off the waterfall while still having her own pokemon friends on her , putting their lives in needless danger which would seem out of character for her .Later, her pokemon don't even seem to react to that same event and her amnesia ,despite the fact that her pokemon should be perfectly capable of telling her about what happened .Yet the game doesn't even call this actions (or inactions )out .].What's perhaps the common occurence of this is the part where you are ''allowed'' to take a dead trainer's pokemon (Corey's , some other unfortunate victim of Pulse Tangrowth), without really any permission or anyone calling you out (though ,to be fair ,most pokemon would have been left alone with no one to turn to if you don't interfere ), making seem like the pokemon themselves were just added in the game just so you would be able to do something between all the important plot points . Admittedly , pokemon reborn is not the only fan game that does this and it's treatment of pokemon is not as bad as it was in earlier episodes ( where Cal threw Kiki's Medicham in the lava without any hesitation and the early game sidequests where fewer )or other fan games, but it was still something that personally bugged me . Excuse me for that wall of text , everyone . Though, I wonder what are your thoughts on this matter ?

Hello everyone and have nice day. My name (here at least) is GGLL . I , like many others before me I guess , found this community through Pokemon Reborn after I watched shofu's playthrough of it .Ever since I downloaded Pokemon Reborn at same year I found it , I've been going in and out of this forums without actually signing up. Through out that time , I 've found out that this place is a rather enjoyable site , with some friendly individuals and some intresting discussions , as well as some impressive fan games and content , but I've never found the motivation to sign up here , since I am not exactly comfortable with forum activity . That was the case until the Redemption League started and my inactivity caused me to miss it . Now , the second season has started and I decided that I want to compete this time for fun . Some of you have probably seen me in the Reborn Showdown servers ( and have probably stomped me in random battles ) and to those I say good luck at the league .To the rest , I hope you have a good day . Since I'm still new to this ( and rather uncomfortable , along with the fact that I'm still just a student at a university) , I won't be present the majority of the time (or at least I won't be signed in ), so keep that in mind . To those who read all this ( and who I probably bored to death ), thank you and I hope we can have a pleasant time together .
