  1. It's a pretty cool game. The dream stuff is mostly focused around a group of plot-centric NPCs and as long as you keep a healthy dose of scepticism it's pretty clear what's real and what's not. You don't trust anything NPCs say anyway so you'd be fine! Yeah those things, the ones that will slap you into a wall if you walk into them. I guess the closest we have so far is Pokken which is cool, but also a Fighting Game and I'm supremely bad at those. Ever since Nintendo started doing the Warriors crossovers I've been hoping for a Pokemon one, that'd be neat. "Thank you for saving all of us, now get out. :)" Maybe you shouldn't have talked so much about how you're going to be the iron-fisted godchampion of the region. Afaik anime Iris wasn't a champion during the Unova anime; all she had going for her was an Axew that never fights and a Dragonite she couldn't control. At least that's what I picked up, I haven't watched a single episode since Sinnoh. Ah yes, plot. I... really don't have much to say about that at the moment. Rejuv's overly obtuse magical ladies who explain nothing and other characters that actively make sure to not get any explanations continue to be as annoying as ever. What even is this game's plot I genuinely don't know. Anime World Tournament I'm sorry to say but there's absolutely no way Iris and Diantha are going to beat Cynthia - the most popular of all champions - and Lance - the series's first Dragon Master and non-rival champion. Especially not Diantha, considering she's one of the least popular champions in the series. This whole thing is essentially a fanservice setup so you can bet anyone but Ash and Leon will advance based on their popularity with the fanbase. Rip to Alain being brought back just to get wiped by Leon in the first round tho, I can only imagine Kalos anime fans are seething about that. Fun Fact: Ash's Pikachu has so far fought three different Metagross and defeated two of them, Steven better keep that in mind.
  2. As long as you're not restricted from leaving your current area you can just go back to the workstation no issue, at any point. The big glass boxes that you had to move around with Espeon disappear at some point as well, although I'm not sure when.
  3. The Light/Dark puzzle with the statues? The first one has "Dark" for every statue, the second one should be self-evident once you go to ineract with one of them.
  4. You mean the Pokemon that are still unavailable once you can do Hardy's Gym? To my knowledge those are:
  5. Stealth Rocks is your best friend in this fight - Haxorus and Salamence are holding Focus Sashes, Dragonite has Multiscale and Charizard is Fire/Flying so 4/6 of her team gets hurt a lot by them. Speed issues can be mostly solved with Tailwind. If the mon setting it up is holding an Amplifield Rock and gets KO'd on the same turn it sets up you'll get iirc five turns with doubled Speed so your attackers should be able to outspeed all of her mons except maybe Garchomp since that one is holding a Choice Scarf. Grabbing a PRankster Cottonee off Route 4 should work just fine for this. Garchomp can be dealt with by switching in a Fairy Type when it's using a Dragon move; on the Dragon's Den it'll do that a lot. Saphira will either switch it out, giving you a free hit on whatever she sends in, or just let you kill it if her AI decides switching isn't worth the risk. From my experience she'll send out Charizard and Haxorus against Gardevoir and give up on Garchomp once those two are out of the picture. If you're open to training new Pokemon then a Mega Sceptile will proper Speed investment will outspeed all of her team except Garchomp and one-shot everything except Dragonite with Dragon Pulse (assuming Stealth Rock broke their Focus Sashes beforehand). A Noivern should perform similarly, but will at best get a Speed tie with Saphira's own Noivern. If you decide to use Mega Sceptile be wary that Garchomp will go for Poison Jab once the AI knows you have a Fairy Type in your team. Mega Altaria has surprise immunity the turn it mega evolves which can also be used to deal with Garchomp but it would need Tailwind support for the rest. Dragonite can be a lot easier to deal with if you freeze the Dragon's Den to remove the buff to Multiscale, but the x2 Field buff to Dragon moves is very useful for dealing with the rest of her team. Personally I'd recommend just leaving the Field alone and hitting it with whatever your hardest hitting move is once it's around half health. Probably either a Dragon move or a Z-move.
  6. With all the time travel and alternate timeline shenanigans going on in Rejuv it's not like it'd have to be anyone who's actually active at the time Reborn takes place and with Reborn's setup for the Legendary Quests it's also easy to place them way out of reach for anyone who would try to stop them from whatever they're trying to do in their home game. Nope, Reborn has another Legendary Quest focused on a crossover character: I mix paints in an, uhh, industrial paint-spray line? I'm not sure how to say this correctly in English. You've been to Germany so "Autoteile lackieren am Band" is what we do, if that means anything to you. I work shifts and the whole paint thing is a health hazard so the pay is comparatively decent. Return of the plot, hooray!(?) Melia grew up in Gearen so she's probably not used to clean air. Ignore the fact that she spent three years here already, or that present Sheridan probably smells the same as past Sheridan since it's some sort of hippie village. "Your lost five-year-old who hates you will turn up eventually" I get the feeling it's a good thing Vivian is not a parent. Pokemon games existing in-universe is probably like regular sports games for us. Sure, you could just go out and play football but Fifa takes so much less effort and doesn't require interacting with people, or going outside, or being good at physical activities! Disclaimer: I do not play sports games I wonder if the in-universe Pokemon games are also turn-based RPGs or take on some other genre? "I'm not actually real, Rose." Wouldn't be surprised if that's legit where the protagonist's thing leads to - you're not a real person, just brought into existence specifically to play some role in whatever mess is going on with this region. "So you got lucky?" It's called putting two and two together, Melia. Or more like one and one I guess, whichever. Anime World Tournament, huh? We finally know what that "Pokemon Master" thing is about and it only took like what, 25 years? Honestly though what are Diantha and Iris doing there? They look way out of place next to everyone else.
  7. Yeah, same. Honestly the very idea of using Flora of all people for a crossover quest is just really weird to me. I get Jan probably wanted to show how she started her work on the PULSE but, I mean, she's Flora. Admittedly I'm slightly behind on Rejuv but she's like an arc villain at best, right? And there's something like three to six potential final bosses running around, depending on how you count. But the one we get is Flora and she doesn't even have anything to do with the Legendary her quest is about. It's all just kinda really lame, especially when you compare it to the other crossover quest that actually uses someone important from that game. You risked your Pokemons' lives for less than I earn in a day and it's not even skilled work I do. re: moving sprites most fangames use plain .png files for their sprites so replacing them with any common animated file type should be possible. Pretty sure I used an animated .gif sprite for some Pokemon some years back. Although the new way Reborn handles sprites would probably make that more complicated. "Code:Statia" So how is that Madelis redemption arc coming along? re:evolutions You got any plans for Silvally? It has a cool concept that could make it really versatile but the balanced out stats are kinda rough. Although I hear rejuv gives it one of those Crest items that makes it a lot better. Silvally is one of my favs from recent generations, can't quite tell if that means I want to see more of it or not see it get dragged into Aevian nonsense. Rapidash has 105 Speed and 100 Atk, gets some nice moves from the relearner. Honestly you've used far worse mons. Old US commercials are weird as fuck. RPG party thing: Is Shaman a support class? I hope so because I wouldn't want to have to play support. Finally, it's time the Fix Aelita* Arc™ *Aelita not included
  8. Have you tried taking the train back to Peridot?
  9. The Mr. Mime readout is only available after you beat it. Before you fight it there's an NPC in one of the houses nearby that will tell you a little bit about it, once you beat it that's also where you'll find the readout.
  10. Rift Ferrothorn, funny story - back when I played this I used Leech Seed on it and the drain effect completely healed my Pokémon every turn. That thing has stupidly high HP. Also you're a lot nicer to Erick now than during the whole Rift Garbodor thing. Must've been Melia and Veronica souring your mood eh? "Next thing you know, Venam will turn out to have been a nuclear technician this whooooole time." Wasn't Veronica supposed to be good with chemistry or something? At least her gym has that poison-mixing puzzle going on and if a gym makes you do something that usually means that the leader is an expert at it.
  11. Heather by quite a bit. My main team's a pretty straightforward "hit them super effective" with the only utility moves being Speed control in Tailwind and Thunder Wave. Heather guaranteed setting up her own tailwing and removing most of her weaknesses in the process was a huge issue. Laura and Bennet were kind of pathetically easy, double Heat Wave is just too good. Elias and Anna are probably around the same level, although Elias ended up being the easier of the two because his Holy Field let my Mega Sceptile and Gardevoir rip through a lot of his mons.
  12. Sticky Web can be removed by using Rapid Spin or Defog, alternatively the move Magic Coat or the Ability Magic Bounce will reflect it back onto your opponents - I'm not sure if the AI will actually try to use Sticky Web if you lead with a Magic Bounce mon, but switching one in or Mega-evolving Sableye will work. Also Flying Types and Pokemon with Levitate or holding Air Balloons all are immune to Sticky Web. If you really want a Meowstic you shold actually be able to leave the workstation through the elevator and go grab one from the Lapis alleyway. Light Screen can be removed with Brick break - you should probably have this on one of your mons since the third fight in the gauntlet will also try to set up Screens Definitely keep Lucario around, it should do great in the second and third battle. Having both Swampert and Primarina is a bit iffy since they don't like fighting under Drought, I'd swap out Primarina since I think it has the better offense for this gauntlet and with your team you can't really use Swampert's Earthquake.
  13. I want to get off Mr. Mime's wild ride

  14. nope, only passwords used are easyhms, monoghost and weathermod.
  15. Umbreon is in Vanhanen Castle before the gym battle with Radomus. Don't know if it moves anywhere after that.
  16. I've seen some mentions about Arclight's Mega Ring sidequest now being available before or after beating Adrienn but he doesn't show up for me, neither in Grand Hall nor in the nightclub. From what I know yoiu have to buy all the stolen Pokemon from 7th Street for the quest to become available which I did - except for the Ditto that I freed from its cage in Blackstream factory and then forgot to actually pick up. Did I lock myself out of getting the Mega Ring? I already tried transferring over a Ditto from another run but Arclight still won't show up.
  17. maybe a bug, maybe some weird interaction, I dunno but here's what I observed: I've been doing a Ghost Monotype and Luna was shredding my team so I decided to grab some cheese. I lead with Drifblim and use Minimize three times to max out Evasion; Bisharp alternates between Sucker Punch and Night Slash. Sucker Punch obviously fails because I'm not attacking while Night Slash misses, meaning the Evasion boosts definitely work at this point. I then Baton Pass into Golurk - the stat boosts display shows the evasion boosts as having been transferred to Golurk but despite this it gets hit by every single attack Luna's Pokémon use. I've tried it out by just sitting there and taking hits and the Evasion boosts are clearly being ignored or didn't get transferred. It's not an issue with Baton Passing Evasion in general either - I've done that a bunch of times and it worked just fine previously; Luna's gym fight is the first instance of it not working. The Field isn't at fault either, since neither the Crystal Cavern nor the Cave Field have any effect on Evasion or Accuracy.
  18. Just to be clear: you picked the dialogue option that says "no"? Because what this guy with his thick slang actually asks is whether you're going to leave, meaning "no" triggers the battle while "yes" avoids it.
  19. It's the EV Overflow mod from the SWM modpack With that active whenever a Pokemon gains EV in a maxed stat that stat's IV is increased by one and the EV are reset.
  20. Ran into the same error, also had this happen with the trainer right outside the slums when his Pidgeotto hit my Pokemon with Whirlwind
  21. Coming on a bit strongly there buddy. Sidequests really are the bane of your existence, huh. Though honestly I don't know what you expected a Drapion to do against Sylveon, they don't take special hits nearly as well as physical ones. Poor Hakon, at least he other three didn't have to know it's coming. I have never heard of anyone naming an Eevee Darwin, that's way too much an old man name for an Eevee. Also yikes, what are those shinys. (except Leafeon, that one's not terrible) If we do ever get another Eeveelution it'll probably be Dragon Type, since that's the last one of the formerly Special-based Types that doesn't have one yet. That or it'll be a new type again, but please not again. Noone in this game cares what anyone else is going through unless their name is Melia. To be fair they're pretty much all going through some bullshit themselves but from what I recall the only time it's ever brought up that someone's having a rough time is with Melia on Terajuma.
  22. I think you accidentally a word there, but you're saying that you do think that ZEL and Taka make up a large chunk of the early game, yes? Well the bit about the first three PULSE is actually exactly why I think it's not that bad, their appearances are clustered fairly close together and tied together by the Tangrowths as a common thread. The first ZEL battle is the last plot step in Obsidia Ward, after this we get the Onyx Gym as a sort of intermission and then move on to Taka's introduction and the double battle in Jasper/Beryl. After that we get everything that happens in Lapis Ward and Shade's gym before we see ZEL again in the second factory. (Which I kinda forgot earlier) Taka's next appearance then is after you've been all through Apohyll and Azurine Island, after which both of them take some time off from the plot as you've noted. The perception of Taka and ZEL showing up a lot seems to be mostly based off their first two battles involving the Tangrowths, which I personally don't see an issue with as they're all contained in one arc, involved in the same operation. None of what I've posted here is supposed to be an attack on the development process, all I've been doing is posing questions about why this new character is what they ended up going with and putting down my own idea for what could've been done instead - not as a "This is how you should've done it" mind you, but rather just "There were a number of options available so I'd like to know what made you decide on that one?" We actually already got some insight on that, which is cool. The only thing I was directly accusatory about was Andracass's behaviour, the topic of which I belive she has already sufficiently replied on. Also I dislike the notion of "It's a free game keep quiet and take what you're given!" I absolutely will take it if it appeals to me but that won't stop me from putting down my input when I feel like it. I don't expect anyone to bend to my will but I appreciate seeing when my input has been given some consideration. Well, in the interest of showing that I am actually looking forward to this I figured maybe I should actually bring up some things I'm happy about? I'm looking forward to seeing the visual makeover some areas and characters have received, particularly the protagonist's sprites. Since the main thing about Reborn I enjoy are the battles I'm excited to see the nightclub fights against the various leaders. As someone who's done a literal dozen monotype runs I'm also looking forward to the more varied early-game Types so I can maybe dive into some like Ice and Ghost that currently are rough or not doable at all without debug. Also the Legendary quests to add some fun stuff to my teams. I'll be happy to see Cain rescued from the Void, he only ever tried to help and doesn't deserve being stranded there. I'll also be happy to see Bennett get his comeuppance for the shit he pulled in Ep18 and y'all better not skimp out on that because boy did he manage to make himself reviled in record time there. I'm looking forward to seeing the added character interactions to help some underdeveloped characters. But most of all...! I'm looking forward to less running back and forth between Beryl and Lapis, mercy on our hero's poor feet.
