That is really situational and it is up to you but ,I dont see any reason why you should make that change for your team. In competitive scene, the two pokemons u named does the exact same job which is late game cleaning when the core defense is down in opposite team. Comparing Feraligatr to Sharpedo ( I am going to assume both will have the same movepool) Feraligatr Pros : Somewhat decent bulk , hits hard af with sheer force + lifeorb with no drawbacks not mega dependant. Feraligatr Cons : Slow to start fights , needs dragondance to reach its full potential. Surf is not going to hit anything. Sharpedo Pros : Speed boost is lovely, crunch stab is lovely , surf hits harder than feraligatr due to spatk. Sharpedo Cons : Paper in both mega and regular form, no stat boosting moves, speed boost is lost upon switching mega, cant set up back.
