NIntendo brought an amazing franchise to us that all of us here know and love Pokemon despite that we all have things we like and dislike about the game. Currently we are waiting for gen 8 and have 28 core series games released to date with several spin off games like Pokemon Snap, Pokemon Ranger series, Pokemon Mystery Dungeon series and many more Pokemon games that stand out from the core games. My question is what are your likes and dislikes in the franchise whether it be game play mechanics like I liked the SOS battling that was introduced in gen 7 but dislike the fishing mechanic or like the AI all having NO guard pokemon (I couldn't find an open thread about this despite Necroposting not being a thing in this forum)

It's about 50/50 for me while there are games like reborn that are amazing there are also a lot of games that are bad particularly with lag. Pokemon franchise attempts to please all ages and genders, it brings unique machanices to the playing field I loved the SOS battling, in X/Y I liked using field moves and getting stuff for it and hoard battles, they also bring beautiful graphics most fangames can't touch however fangames come out for the niches like veterans with hard difficulty or pokegirls as such an argument can be made they are better however most relay on older graphics, for me personally I enjoy both and look at them fairly equally as they both have pros and cons.

Depending on how much time and effort you want to put into it I like breed Pokemon as you can get a wider range of moves and you control what you want it to learn. Some pokemon like Meowth or Trapinch only learn particular moves as a basic Pokemon catching Persian is all fine and dandy but even the move tutoring won't be able to get you payday as it needs to learn it before it evolves. I like breed and low level Pokemon because if your EV training you don't have to worry so much about over levelling your Pokemon as you have 510evs total you can manipulate for your use with any one stat having 252 EVs maximum allowing any 2 stat to be fully maxed with 6 leftover potentially. Pokerus helps with EVs as well it doubles anything earned along with a power item that gives 4x the EVs, vitamins while expensive give 10 each up to 100EVs and become ineffective for that stat after 100EVs, many pokedex websites and apps can give you a better understanding of movesets and stat spread min/Max's at a guestimated amount as they show both min and Max calculating the totals at levels 50/100 they also can tell you how much a specific Pokemon yields like Rattata is 1 speed EV given upon defeat which is good to find out if your training a specific stat

I like Pokemon DB for moveset and whatnot but I like serebii for event news as it keeps a detailed log of past events and other stuff that is harder to find for me on DB but official site for upcoming news

I didn't find out about the game until about a week ago but my boy friend downloaded it. It looks stunning though at times can be frustratingly slow like most most fan games that don't implement a speed up button for general use not just in battle, some of the moves are odd like Vaccum wave when the opponent uses it it starts from the front of them and goes towards themselves whereas if our pokemon uses it it goes seamlessly towards the opponent, so far has only crashed a couple times when he's been playing it, was surprised to see custom movesets though can't wait to stumble upon relic pokemon and such How do you get the poke all sitting on top of the wood in the forest?

Just make sure you double check them especially dragons cause most them are not available yet

It'd be cool if they brought back some older things to the games I liked the mini game like things (Pokeathelon, bug catching contests, ruins of alph puzzle sliding tiles, old game corner), Hoenn contests/berry system (honestly loved making pokeblocks), the three rods and fishing anywhere maybe just have the bubbling ones for special catches if done at all, optional follower pokemon, naming your rival, apricorns and Kurt, non talking pokedex it feels like Zelda from Spirit tracks or Navi they and it's annoying would rather the dex set up from Alpha and Omega, NPC trades (Idk why but I loved doing them), Run toggle, department store, secret bases, Treasure beach (Was fun to dowse there everyday, more lore about the region I liked having a good amount of lore that's intractable with, Marage spots like alpha and omega it was fun to fly around battle in the sky and find the places everyday, Honey/headbutt trees, hidden grottos, Field moves that get you items, Survival island from Diamond, Keep the idea level up isle with a Nursery New fossil pokemon, name rater like reborn, unique places for the catchable legendaires/mythicals like Birth Island, distortion world or Mysterious dungeon where once you catch the said legend pokemon fill into the place From TCG Delta pokemon which are kinda like the alola forms, possibly some of the moves Thanks for removing my double post @Ice Cream Sand Witch

I like quick ball and sometimes luxury ball for convenience but I like Moon ball aesthetically speaking followed closely by Cherish ball
