Currently not being updated. Hey guys! I am finally here with my ghost monotype run! Well... Technically I'm not as this is just an introductory post so you guys can understand the rules of this run, what's going on, and that sort of thing... So lets start with what you'll find in this particular post! In this part you'll be able to find a table of contents, which will be separated into pages, allowing you to know which chapter is on what page, meaning you just need to scroll down. My progress! Green Text will mean that chapter is finished and posted, Yellow text means it's finished but just not posted yet, Orange means I am currently on it, and Red means it's unfinished. Every chapter will end with a gym battle, which will leave us with... 16 Chapters... Well who knew? This will be updated on a weekly basis, some may come sooner or later depending on what's going on in my life, but expect the updates to come Friday! Also, this playthrough will be a roleplay of sorts, like @Awesome_One's ground and his ice run! Meaning I will be taking the role of the main character, Sage. Before I get any further introducing you to everything, I want to thank the creator of the pokemon reborn sandbox, this has been helping immensely in the run and makes some cool things possible! I will not be using this to obtain items early or cheat in any way. One last thing, I promise. So you know how @Jess is currently doing a poison mono, and is naming her pokemon after one theme? (Greek mythology) Well I really liked that, so I'll also be doing it... But I thought to myself "What fits ghost types as a naming theme" and then I realized... Our naming theme will be based on demons and demonic things! (I apologize in advanced if this offends anyone) So lets get to the rules now! I) I must have at least 2 of my starting pokemon in my party at a time. II) After I defeat... Lets say Corey, all of my pokemon must be EV trained. III) Mega evolution will be used (Thanks pokemon sandbox!) However it will not be used until we defeat Shade. IV) Mega pokemon can't have any healing items used on them when in the battle, even if they haven't mega evolved yet. They also must be 3 levels below the cap (Number may change). V) All ghosts must be captured, and only ghosts can be used. Bannette/Lucifer Litwick/Levi Honedge/Oni Ghastly/Ghoul So I've told you the stories of how my ghosts and I came to be friends. I should probably tell you how I ended up in this wasteland known as Reborn, shouldn't I? Well, let me start with a bit of a backstory first... *Ahem* Sage I was a lonely girl, not many friends, my parents thought I was going insane as I was claiming "Inanimate" objects were pokemon. Despite what I was told by therapists, my parents, and peers, I always believed they were pokemon, this was not just my imagination. People probably also thought I was insane/evil because I named these "Inanimate" objects I claimed were pokemon after Demonic things. However this cost me later in life. On my eighteenth birthday my parents got me a train ticket... We were at the station, they gave me a ticket, and while the train was MOVING, they pushed me from the docking platform onto the train... I ended up crashing into a woman named Ame... Still a bit shocked I decided to go a bit simple "Where are we going?" She dusted herself off a bit, sat down, pulled me into a seat across from her and simply said "Reborn" She continued "Err... That was a bit strange, when we get to reborn, I can send the train back, or you could start the reborn league, I talked to your parents earlier, they claimed the pokemon were fake... But they obviously aren't!" She points to Dismay who fell to the floor, who was now moving around, trying to steal a bagel from someone. I was a bit shocked so I could only muster "I'll think about it..." She smiles and says "Alright, fair enough. Anyway, we got a couple hours of train, tell me a bit about yourself." So we just talked for awhile... Me saying stupidly I'm from Opelucid town in Unova... Obviously! But little did I know I would not be returning to my home town... Nor region. I probably should've been made quite aware that the man with the bagel was acting suspicious... Because it would be amazing to watch you try to even beat a gym leader like T3RR4 with a Charmander that only knows Scratch, Growl, Ember, and Smokescreen.

Even further, must be level one, may only have Night shade. There are particular mons that could make this possible, but most can't be obtained in reborn. No evolution mons like Heracross and Dunsparce. And Scyther (While unobtainable in reborn) I believe has the same base stat total as Scizor, just arranged differently.

You really want to take it further? No evolution run. You can't evolve any pokemon and they must be at their weakest form. That would truly make him the king.

I say you should probably make a new topic, so it's easier to find and navigate... And I have three ideas for what the your next run could be: 1. Generations - You can only have 1 pokemon from each generation on your team, example of a team could be: Charizard, Ampharos, Mightyena, Magnezone, Darmanitan, and Florges. Only one pokemon from each generation on your team at once. 2. Shifting Monotype - Before every gym leader you may only catch pokemon appropriate to that gym leaders typing, excluding your starter, example: Before you fight Shelly you may only catch bug type pokemon, Before Ciel you may only catch flying pokemon. And after you beat that gym leader you can only keep one of the pokemon you caught, example: You get an Ariados, Larvesta, and Kricketune before shelly, you can and must use all of them before and for Shelly, but you can only keep one after she's defeated. 3. Nuzlocke (With changed rules) - When a pokemon faints it's dead. All pokemon must be nicknamed... But due to the amount of deaths in reborn and huge areas, here's the modified parts: If you revive a fainted pokemon before the battle ends, it's alive. Depending on the size of the area, you may catch more than one pokemon (Example would be peridot, maybe catch three or four in peridot. Up to you)

Chapter 13?: What? No, I'm totally updating on Friday... I didn't forget about it and just remember 5 minutes after I woke up on Saturday... So, as you've probably already gathered, I pulled a Chapter 5 with this, meaning due to a failure, I only have the last gym battle... This time the failure was because my computer wanted to update! Let me explain: I had just stopped before the Adrienn fight because I wanted to take a break as I had to grind and I wasn't looking forward to it. I had saved and closed the game but I left my notepad open and unsaved... Then my computer forced me to update... So I lost the Victoria fight, Arclight fight, and last ZEL fight. But luckily since I recorded it I have the Adrienn fight...? Anyway, here's just a video of the fight: (Also, skip to 9:30 in the video, I had two attempts in this video and the first one was a failure, the winning attempt starts at 9:30) Anyway... I'm sorry the last few chapters have been short and lack-luster. But, and I guarantee... Tomorrow will be my post on advice for anyone else wanting to do a psychic monotype of this game. The ghost monotype will start soon, with no exact date.

Chapter 12: So now with T3RR4's badge under our belt, we got to finally save Tania... Ok rant time, I know, I have so many of these... We have been away from them for... I'd generously say a couple hours, of at least official game time. But when we get there, Tania has just finished killing like the fourth guard out of five... And Amaria was already taken to be nursed back to health. How did Tania not see them move Amaria? THEY JUMPED LIKE 10 SECONDS APART. Ok, a retraction here. They locked her out... BUT HOW DID SHE NOT GET TO AMARIA! THIS STILL ANNOYS ME. She should've at least landed beside Amaria before team meteor had enough to time to get Amaria out, and away. Also why didn't Tania take the same damage to her body and mind (Amnesia) as Amaria? It doesn't make any sense... So after longer than I'd like to admit in the Beryl water grid (I actually had completed it, but I had to re-fill each area for some reason? I guess because I cleaned one section before talking to Tania) Err... WHERE THE HELL IS MY PULSE SWALOT BATTLE! GODDAMMIT PAST ZELL, YOU SERIOUSLY HAVE ONE JOB, AND THAT IS TO WRITE DOWN DETAILS ABOUT EACH BATTLE! GODDAMMIT HE DID IT A SECOND TIME! TAKA'S BATTLE JUST SAYS WASN'T INTERESTING!!!! Oh, surprisingly he actually had the Fern and Blake battle... Sadly out of the five battles this chapter he only wrote this one... #BlamePastZell VS FERN AND BLAKE John and Solaris... Goddammit Zell, "Not interesting" and then the sentence "Why were the minions more interesting than the real deal" AAANNDDD HERE'S THE CIEL BATTLE SUMMED UP ACCORDING TO HIM! "Acrobatics is a crime and shouldn't exist" So ends this chapter.. Hardly anything, I know. But I'll update again friday, and that totally isn't because I also have only one battle for that one... But that's my computers fault. Explanation later. My advice for Psychic monotype playthroughs should come Sunday or Monday. And my next monotype will come later. I want to get at least to Shade in my ghost monotype before I begin posting.

It may just be that you update in smaller chunks than most do. I personally make each "Chapter" go until at least the next gym leader. And I update every 4-5 days (Mostly) And thanks! Also yeah, I've never had to deal with the "Excakill" while sandstorm is active. I just realized how un-organized those responses were...

Chapter 11: *Saturday afternoon* I feel like I'm forgetting something... OH RIGHT I FORGOT TO UPDATE THE PSYCHIC MONOTYPE!! Myst Squelcher Soul Burste Wisdor Sin WE GET RIGHT INTO THE ACTION AND FIGHT PULSE AVALUGG! Afterwords we get into Ametrine, meet Blake, save Heather, WE also get treated to the amazing line of Shelly telling Heather as in her Yanmega to come on out and the human Heather getting confused. After a bit of grunts and climbing the mountain, we Battle Aster. Is what I would say if I had anything in my Notepad... Really, strangely enough, It says in my notepad "We battle Aster" But there is actually nothing in that section. It's just blank with a space, as if I intended to write down the battle/Some quick words describing the battle, but I forgot to... Sorry... After more mountain climbing fun we reach Blake. Ok, Ice is my favorite type, and my favorite pokemon is Snorunt. But this guy ruins ice types for me! LETS DESTROY HIM! Sorry :(. It's just tedious for me to have to write down the exact details even when the battle is a sweep from one or two mons. Like "Myst used flamethrower, enemy died. Myst used flamethrower, enemy died" ect ect. It's tedious for me and I don't personally enjoy reading that. Again, sorry. I would say this is the last time... Buuuuut, you'll see in chapter 13.

I don't believe I did, I just managed to survive the attacks to one shot them. Although I believe I outsped Darmanitan at least with a max speed EVS Alakazam.

Chapter 10: Beginning team: Myst Squelcher Elola Burste Wisdor Zenite Now, with 9 gym badges under our belt, we try to enter Agate City, buuuuuuuut the guards that are supposed to let us through are asleep. So Cain destroys the door/gate thingy and we enter. We find Aya and Hardy asleep in agate... Then we meet the one who defy's physics, the one who's IQ is in the negatives... T3RR4! And she leads us into the circus... Quick question, why couldn't we just go back to the checkpoint and into route one? From the way I can see it we were about equal distance away. So it makes no sense why we went into the Circus, except that T3RR4 led us here. And before you say "Because she launched Aya and Hardy this way... Well why didn't she launch them the way to route 1? Or we could've carried them into route 1... Either way it makes no sense why we were forced into the circus. Rant over, we progress. After awhile of trecking through the awful route two (Hey that rhymed) We find Amaria and Titania's (Tania) house! Who have Hardy as a guest waiting for him to wake up... Sweet. Anyway, we find out that at least Saphira is in Calcenon Which is basically at war with Labradorra city (Meteor controls it) To get there, we need surf. But luckily they have it... But we need Samsons gym badge to use it. We go fight Samson. VS SAMSON That was fairly easy. It felt good to destroy Samson, as I struggled with him in my main playthrough, it also didn't help that he had RNG on his side with getting OVER 9000 like every 2 turns. We go to get Surf, and we are forced to interact with what is probably Tania's diary... Ok, in my main save, I didn't read it, got accused of reading it, and Amaria tried to kill herself because I said yes to something I had no idea of what I was saying yes to... So I actually read it this time and found out what the big deal was... I won't spoil it. Absol this is not the time! I actually realized something, this Absol, he only appears when something bad is about to happen. Like his pokedex entry. Example: Corey jumping off the bridge and right now, when Amaria's about to jump down the waterfall. What do you mean no one can learn Surf?!!??! Sigh... I go back to the circus, get a level 15 piplup from my pc (I named him pippers) and we surf to continue... Goddammit. We progress through the game, route three, ect. I won't even mention the Aster + Eclipse fight, as we decimated them. Eclipse has her soul taken by chandelure... Ok, so here's something about me: If a game can make me like an "Enemy" or feel bad for them, I don't want them to die and I want things to work out for them... This Aster and Eclipse situation is another. Taka and ZEL are also included. Solaris, Sirius, Blake, and Fern. You can kindly leave me alone in the end. We need to fight Charlotte.... And since I'm not an idiot, I replaced Elola with Soul (Solrock) and little did I know, Soul would be on my team for pretty much the rest of the game... I also tought Burste rain dance. VS CHARLOTTE I'ma be honest, in my opinion (Excluding Shelly) Charlotte is the most difficult gym leader. In my main playthrough she was hell for me, I only beat her by making half of my team Rock types, and setting up rain dance with an Empoleon. My other two pokemon were Noivern and I believe Machamp. It also doesn't help that my two most valuable and most devastating team members... Were weak to fire. With my Contrary Serperior (Slytherin) and my Escavalier (Tracer) being those two members. So it felt amazing to beat her first try. So in conclusion, in this part we beat two gym leaders on the first try, on which my main file took me more than 6 tries each... Feels good to own my past self... Despite this being like 5 months ago, lets ignore that. Ending team: Myst Squelcher Soul Burste Wisdor Sin Note: Sorry for any confusions, this was a last minute thing I noticed... I never told you guys about Sin. So Sin is a Shiny Reuniclus (However you spell that) I got a shiny Solosis on my main file and I was so happy with that. First try, wasn't intending. And I want him to live on in my psychic mono type. So when I was able to get Solosis, I traded Sin o my friend and they traded it over to this Monotype. Sorry for any confusion whenever I said "Sin". I was having trouble as well, at first I thought Zenite was still on the team, and the idiot me didn't realize that I could just look at the image I posted like 5 minutes ago to see what my team was. Again, sorry for any confusion this may have caused. (Also since the white form of this shiny is not official in pokemon, I had to use the official shiny texture for the icon thingy, sorry again. EDIT: One last thing, I swear. I apologize for the delay in this going out, I was busy yesterday and didn't have time to bring this out when I normally would. Next chapter should go out around Thursday or Friday (So you know in advance)
