I think you can find everstone without mining but i vaguely remember it was pretty far in the game before you got your first everstone, if im not mistaken its in the darchlight cave

you need to go to team xen base in secret shore, in the base there are a canal that have a diving spot

Well there are a lot others but the trend i see for rejuv is people usually like defensive pkmn more

1. Ribombee For the early game on Rejuv, Ribombee is an absolute monster it has a great Sp Atk and Speed making it a great sweeper and its Sp Def is no slouch either but the best thing is Ribombee learns Dazzling Gleam really early and it basically destroy maria and narcissa gym not to mention if you get a quiver dance going then its basically GG for your opponent ( Unless they have Accelrock in which case you are basically f***ed) and it can also learn Sticky web to cripple your opponent team, I still use it even in late game, quiver dance sweep is one hell of a drug 2. Talonflame Ahh yes the big bad bird, it allows me to use a braindead cheese strategy which is Gale Wings+Tailwind. if the opponent have too much bullshit antagonist power slap this bird, switch to Haxorus, have it Sword dance and its basically over, not proud of it but hey a win is a win, other than that acrobatics and Flare Blitz also helps a lot 3. Alolan Dugtrio Its a very Underated pkmn not sure why people didn't use it so much, as an early game pkmn its really good its super fast, hits hard and learns EQ and Bulldoze quite early which helps a lot, considering the lack of good ground type for early game A-Dugtrio is a monster

the strategy here is to change the field and weather so angie can't abuse blizzard to sweep your team the Magical/Elemental seed( I forgot which one) raise your speed by 1 stage and apply torment so it's best to equip it to your dps, so bring a fighting type and equip it with seed to destroy her sweeper especially mamoswine (Heracross or Sawk is not a bad choice), For steel type i can recommend Alolan Dugtrio it fast and hits superhard but has very poor defense and hp so only get it out when absolutely sure you can kill, getting Togedemaru is also good idea it fast, hits hard has sturdy and learns electric terrain that can change the field so you wouldn't get destroyed, But if all else fails then get a Swanna teach it Tailwind, give it seed then use Dusk-Lycanroc and Rock Slide them all to death

Its really fun mainly its because it restrict your option so you are forced to strategize and use pokemon that you generally avoid but yes i admit that they are several battle wherei almost threw my laptop cuz of frustration, the hardest part of monotype run is actually the first few gyms, if you run a type that is rare in early game like fairy, steel or dragon you are forced to battle their whole team with only 1 or 2 pkmn and let me tell you it is very frustrating

Some Question though: isn't Pokemon that gain another typing with mega evolution is considered fair game in monorun? Example if you want to run a Dragon mono having Charizard or Sceptile is fine right?

No prob i also didn't actually believe it until i try it myself, i often heard many people got stuck here cuz they cant go back/grind and that garbordor is pretty bulky and has good coverage so its not easy to kill, some balancing error on the dev part i guess

Actually no there no encounter at all in those area not sure about fishing but the cave have absolutely no encounter, so if by any chance your team is not enough to beat the garbordor you kinda stuck

Well if i recall when you go fight the rift garbodor, you do not have the option to go back to the city, so you actually just stuck there until you beat it

Does your altaria have a perish song? if it have then 1 strategy that i can recommend is to equip her quick claw and continue trying until you go first, if you dont then try to post your pkmn moveset and ability, it with a lot easier if we know what we are dealing with Example: Empoleon LV56 Ability: Defiant Moves: Sword Dance Aqua Jet Brine Drill Peck

Maybe you are fighting pkmn with ability Skill Link? this ability does always guarantee to be 5 hits if not then you are just super unlucky i guess

Wait are we talking about the 3rd gym or the virtual badges sidequest where you need to beat the johto gym leader with predetermined team? cuz i got it confused with you saying digital If we are talking about the 3rd gym then there are several ways to abuse the field with pokemon that knows the moves nature power or consider using mon that is bulky, but it will be a lot easier if you just list out your team and the pkmn in your rotations

You kinda explain it in a very confusing way, so if i catch it right you don't know what to do because you are suppose to continue to the main story in GDC but you are transported to Golden Leaf town and now confuse on how to go back right? Ehh well there are 2 ways first is if you have defeat the flying leader you can just use FLY, but if you can't then i guess going to west gearen and use the train And if you have beat the gym but dont have the HM for it and you cant go back by train, there is Drampa in Valor mountain, it knows how to use FLY so just catch it

I remember sweeping Erick with Vanililuxe and Swanna, so at first turn i bring pkmn that can OHK his magnezone in (i think i used Heracross) and a quick claw Swanna to set up tailwind, after i manage to land tailwind, close combat the magnezone and get my heracross killed by his raichu, then i set up my snow warning vanililuxe and just blizzard all of his team to death, i remember i cant take out his raichu but vanililuxe great sp def manage to tank 1 hit so yeah consider using vanililuxe

well Melia being mary sue is pretty debatable(or not been a while since i play v8 so i may have forgot something) but yeah i think you should give it another chance, a lot of thing have changed in v12 mainly the game and story has been more polished, so the feeling of awkwardness and some plotholes has been reduced significantly
