  1. Calvera whispers back, keeping one eye on the man. "I think that'll be a little suspicious... why is he looking for you anyways? I think we could handle him, regardless... but if you want to run, I can blind him, then we can run. Up to you."
  2. Calvera notices the man, for obvious reasons, and turns back to Arminius. "That's a gun at his side, right? Should we do something about that or...?"
  3. Calvera smiles, and nods. "Perhaps we should find some animals to pet, then. As for laps, I do not see why you couldn't lay your head in mine. Seems convenient enough."
  4. Snow's smile disappeared, and she seemed to steel up as she looked towards the new individual. This 'Samantha Grey' person, with their odd aura around them. It reminded Snow of someone she knew once, a long time ago, but that was in the past. She studied Samantha for a moment, before speaking. "Samantha Grey. I am Snow Maginot."
  5. "Let's not think about it..." Calvera set the palm of her hand gently on Arminius' cheek, to which he instantly notices how warm and comforting it is. After a moment, she retracts it slowly, setting it back in her own lap. "Tell me, what comforts you?"
  6. "Hopefully that means we can take a load off, eh?" Snow smiled, a soft giggle letting itself out behind her normally composed visage. It was a rare occasion for Snow to be this relaxed, but she seemed to be so for whatever reason. Perhaps it was the company she was with, or the prospect of not having to keep her group as focused. "I definitely wouldn't mind being able to relax. Especially after the previous world we were on."
  7. Snow approached Perlita and Gabriel, her boots clacking against the ground, her armor sounding off from the movement. She finally stopped, and looked to the two. She took an inquisitive tone, and seemed a bit more relaxed in their presence. "What do you two think of this place? All the people? Personally makes me question how bad the situation is here."
  8. "Well, given I don't quite like the taste... I don't believe that'll be a problem." Calvera chuckles, then Arminius began talking about the Reich, causing her to clench up slightly. "They sound like a bad group of people-- The Reich, I mean. Not that I know what a racist, or an asshole are, but given your tone while talking of them. You sound pained, as if something happened to you personally... I won't dig. The land sounds rather... diverse and extravagant sounding, prior to their arrival. I'm sure you'd prefer that... hm."
  9. Snow Maginot Snow quietly followed alongside the Homefront team, blade humming quietly at her side. The entire time they headed back, her face remained steeled. She was a professional, and had to keep this visage, as to not give the wrong idea to her new... comrades. She kept near Mira, as per usual, because if anyone was going to guard the group as a wall, it was them. She analyzed everything about the courtyard as they entered, and noted the various people in the area, all brought together by the Battered Hero as she had been. She wonders why exactly a group of this size needed help with this... Trespasser. She shook the thought from her mind, reminding herself that they were powerful beings, some more powerful than the next.
  10. "Oh, for fucks sake!" Contagion whips around and drops May the Gas Rise on Roadhog ((Note: this action does only specify enemies.)) Contagion uses his second action to use Burst Fire on Roadhog.
  11. "That's very fascinating. And which land do you hail from?" Calvera herself takes a drink of her beer, making her squint and tighten her lips. She swallows it, and as it travels down her throat, Arminius can spot a mini light show, as her esophagus lightens up bright orange as the liquid travels down. "A very... interesting taste. I'm unsure if I'm a fan or not."
  12. "You know me well enough to know I care to business first, Spicy." Snow shrugged.
  13. "Well, I suppose it would be best to rally with the rest of your group. I suggest we get to... well, wherever your current base of operations is, and go from there. We should prioritize targeting Caster, among the remaining three." Snow does a very quick nod.
  14. Calvera seems to think for a moment, then calmly speaks again. "How about... the places, the politics, the people... I suppose."
  15. "Thanks..." Calvera turns to Arminius, her beer in one hand, the other resting on the counter. "So tell me a bit more about your world."
  16. "Oh, for fucks sake, I told you to run earlier! Don't attack him, just run, else you're screwed! I'll hide you!" Contagion casts Hideaway on all allies including himself (as they share the same square), preventing enemies from targeting them until they attack! Contagion then proceeds to Run Away x1. Loadout:
  17. Calvera does indeed enter the bar with Arminius, following his lead to the actual counter where they serve alcohol. She scratches the side of her head idly.
  18. "Flee somewhere. I will keep whatever it is distracted." The masked figure faces back towards his cloud of gas, keenly watching through the enhanced lenses of his gasmask, which allowed him to see past it. He unslinged his AK47, resting it calmly in his hands, fitting like a glove.
  19. The still unknown hooded figure silently walks a few feet closer to the corner, distancing himself from the group. Suddenly, a large cloud of an unknown gas appears where he was standing, providing visual cover. The figure moves out, and talks in a deep, raspy, and gasmask filtered voice. "We should move. Avoid any hostiles until we have information."
  20. A hooded figure in a gasmask had idly leaned against a pillar listening to DOOM, and the various other people he was tasked with teaming with. He was used to this. Heroes teamed up all the time. However, he had always been a bit more of a lonewolf. It tended to work out better that way. He was optimistic, under the visage of his gasmask. His AK47 strapped at his back, dangling slightly, the strap rattling with noise at any small movement. He had no real reason to converse with the individuals before him, but he also had no issue with conversation. So, for now, he waited, tapping at an virtual overlay that appeared through the lens of his gasmask.
  21. "Doesn't sound too nice." Calvera chuckles, her face in deep contemplation.
  22. "And I used to be a star." Calvera chuckles, smiling, before returning to a more serious tone. "I get it, you've seen some stuff."
  23. Calvera nods, turning and starting to walk. She didn't haven't any place in mind, just wanted to get away from everyone else. She needed time to think, and as she walked, chuckled at the thought that she also ended up needing help. Well, granted, it wasn't as urgent as Satomi's problems, as those were more complex. Hers was more of... trying to figure out what was happening to her. These complex feelings she was suddenly having. Her sudden desire to help someone she hardly knew, but knew needed help. The annoyance that she couldn't help due to others denying her that. It... hurt, but not physically. At least, Calvera felt hurt. It was odd to her. She looked at the buildings she passed, several thoughts racing through her mind. What was her purpose? She wasn't more than a star before all of this, and now she's here to help people... but she couldn't. The others didn't view her worthy of it, or something. Her mind moved to her memories of the creation of the universe, the formation of herself. How... simple and natural it was. She yearned for that simplicity again, but knew she likely would never return to it. And she found herself not wanting it, knowing that she was only a few seconds from dying in her normal celestial form. Her natural form. Maybe this was the universe's way of sparing her. Or maybe this was the afterlife. She didn't know, nor did she care. She was clearly summoned one way or another to help, and that's what she was going to do. It was what she wanted. She would force herself to learn what she could, to become useful to her group. Somehow. She looked over to Arminius as they walked, and thought why he took a liking to her. She wasn't any outstanding and rich individual. She was... bland. Just learning what it means to be a person. She smiled, thanking herself for taking a second to allow the company. A can found its way onto the tip of foot, sending it clattering against the ground softly, as they continued on to wherever they would end up. Calvera was silent.
