  1. Calvera nods, kind of understanding? "I see. I don't know why she would be pissy at you, but I understand."
  2. "Why would Mirri 'pull shit' as you put it?" Calvera jogs to catch up and walk next to Arminius, tilting her head inquisitively.
  3. "Oh, okay... um... Mind if I tag along?" Calvera follows as first, but would stop if Arminius said anything relating to no.
  4. Calvera nods, pretending to understand everything that Arminius had just said, smiling. "Well just let me know if you need my services to help heat the metal... that's how you shape it, yes?"
  5. "I won't... I promise." Calvera nods, looking down at her hands. She held tremendous power, and she had to wield it properly. People feared what she could do. She knew it. "So uhm... how'd the boats go? Do you guys need my help?"
  6. "Yeah... Sorry about that... I uhm..." Calvera lets go of Arminius, and takes a shallow step back. "I'm not good at stuff like that... so I was scared I... well, that I broke you. Or something... I don't quite know how trauma works." She fixes her hair, and looks to the ground for a moment, before looking back to Arminius.
  7. "I DID IT!" Calvera screams with glee, running forward, fire now extinguished on her arms, and embraces Arminius in a tight hug. "...I'm glad you're okay now... you scared me last night."
  8. "I have an idea." Contagion whispered, pulling out his hand. He casts May the Gas Rise on the Talon troops! ((Note: Remember the 1.5x damage perk for AoEs)) Loadout:
  9. Calvera finally decided she needed to occupy herself. Something needed her attention. Anything. She stood back up, then stared at the burn mark on the floor of the warehouse that she caused. Instead of that crippling dread she felt before, she decided to feel motivated. She looked to her hand, and snapped. Again, at first nothing. She snapped again, and after a moment of hesitation, her arm lit with bright blue flame. It felt much more stable than before, and she smiled. After a moment of pause, she smiled larger, and jumped with glee. "AHHHHH! I DID IT, I DID IT, I DID IT!" She exclaimed in excitement. "ARMINIUS!!"
  10. Calvera is laying down in the warehouse, awaiting the return of the group. The memory of last night returns to her mind; Arminius shutting down on the ground, unresponsive. She didn't quite understand what to do in that situation, and felt lost. It felt all too real in her mind right now, as if it was happening again. A tear rolled down her cheek, meeting the floor and instantly soaking in. There she continues to lay, motionless.
  11. "I'll tend to the artifact. Maybe I can get some useful information on it while I'm at it. Wouldn't be the first time I've been around something like this." Contagion nods, making his decision. He idly is loading rounds into the magazine for his AK.
  12. "Can't exactly help what my powers are. But I know. They're dangerous." Contagion seems a bit strained in his voice, as he quickly replies, almost as if a nerve was struck.
  13. "It was uh... not actually made by me. Designed by the scientists at H.E.R.O. and... I don't make chemical weapons, really..." Contagion seems kind of sad by the accusation, but rubs his temples through the gasmask.
  14. Snow quietly allows Isolbel and Sachi to pass, as she was standing in the doorway to the barracks (unless there's more than one set of doors?). Her armor clanks, and she watched the two short girls disappear into the depth of the barracks emotionless. She looked back to the girl doing maintenance.
  15. Calvera awoke from her place on the warehouse floor, groggily wobbling as she stood. She wiped the crust from her eyes, and yawned. Stepping out to the main large area, she saw the large burn mark that she made the night before, and sighed. She wasn't too sure how Arminius was now, but she hoped he was better. She felt bad about what had happened, but it was in the past, so she had to let it go, even if it still affected her friend. A feeling of dread fell over her mind, as she realized how many people might actually be... afraid of her. This gave her a moments pause, and a frown. Her mind wandered, as she stared at the floor of the warehouse.
  16. "Trust me, after years and years of wearing a gasmask, the nanobots are way better... the masks can be rather inhibiting." Contagion coughs a few times, then clears his throat.
  17. "A pleasure to meet you Nadine. Yes, I'm named because of the gas I produce. It used to be uh... way more lethal to everyone around me. Got that changed, thankfully..." His voice is somber, as if remembering something from the past that saddened him. He turned to the large armored man. "Yes, I suppose the masks are popular in our group. That reminds me, don't let me forget to get you the nanobot substance into your bloodstreams, to prevent my gas from poisoning you, if anything were to happen on accident."
  18. "Arminius... it was an accident. It's okay... there's no scary paladins..."
  19. "Um.. okay, uh... maybe this will help...?" Calvera lays behind Arminius, putting a hand on his shoulder, moving it up and down. She wasn't very good at this...
  20. "I'm a superhero back in my universe. I'm self-made though, I've invented my powers, so-to-speak... but yes, I am an engineer and scientist. It's been awhile though. I took a break from it for awhile due to circumstances... ah, how rude of myself, I didn't introduce myself. I go by the codename Contagion. For identity reasons, obviously... apologies for the mask, I personally find it a bit rude, but it has it's purposes." Contagion chuckles, holding his hand up in a gesture of greeting.
  21. "Are you okay Arminius!? Did I hit you!?" Calvera rushes over, kneeling down to check on the man.
  22. Contagion spends a small amount of time going back over the various remaining pieces, and how the pieces he took out also work, explaining everything to Lucine. Once he feels he explains everything pretty well, he turns to her, the dark lenses of his gasmask staring at her. "Hopefully you understand most of that."
  23. Contagion, who had been sitting at the workbench for a little while, takes apart one of the pistols that was in the armory, as well on the plasma pistol. He fiddles around with the various parts, before finally constructing a plasma battery. Under his mask, he smiles. He exclaims aloud from where he sits. "Hah, still got it!" He admires his handiwork for a moment, before stuffing the battery in a satchel on his side.
  24. Calvera appears to think for a second, as she stares at her hands. She snaps her fingers once, then furrows her eyebrows. Clearly frustrated, she fists her hand, bending her arm then quickly extending. The bright light of fire quickly erupts on her arm, which is completely covered now. She smiles, "Hey, that wasn't too hard-" but is quickly interrupted by the flame flying off towards Arminius, shortly stopping before him, striking the ground, leaving a large black mark of soot. "...Oops."
  25. "Maybe I can carry one of those... what did you call them? Guns?" Calvera scratches her head.
