Yeah sorry for causing any disruptions. Anyways, yeah Neo has some good suggestions in the post before mine so you can check that out too Blast.

That's your opinion. In an RMT, you're supposed to give suggestions on how to improve the team (and I'm sure the owner of this team is looking for exactly that), not just rate it something out of 10 like some guy that doesn't know anything about the metagame. As an experienced player, I felt that much more could be done with the team, therefore I suggested formating the team differently, using some different Pokemon. You can't tell me I'm wrong for something you personally don't agree with, and you certainly can't say "a team of broken cores and pokemon" because you're just being biased. tl;dr: You can't tell me how to post on an RMT and I dare you to beat me in a pokemon battle if you disagree. Also, I noticed you didn't even rate the team yet, so you're basically spamming and minimoding.

Yeah sorry to break it to you but this team won't get very far. You have too many threats to the team and too few Pokemon that can deal with them. Try a team formatted like this: Starmie / Haxorus / Chandelure / Chansey / Skarmory / Breloom I guarantee you will get better results with this. It is a lot more balanced and it beats many of the common Pokemon you see at Reborn (ask me if you have any questions). I have recently returned to Reborn after a long period of inactivity (I was ranked #1 back in the days). Im currently ranked 4 there, and I'm making my way up. I will post an RMT of my own when I hit #1 or #2. Hope you check it out! But yeah as for the team try and structure it like the suggestion I gave and it will work a lot better.

Hey Moony, I would recommend changing Scarf Jirachi to Scarf Shaymin-S. They both have Serene Grace, but Shaymin-S will work a lot better. Firstly, you will have something resistant to Ground Type Moves, which is very useful. Secondly, you will be able to win weather wars a lot easier against Groudon Sun teams as well as Tyranitar Uber Sand teams. Finally, you'll have something to check Scarf Kyogre, which can pose a potential threat to this team. Having peaked 1450 on the Ubers ladder on Beta, I know how good Shaymin-S is and I encourage you to try it out!

Ew, Swanna. Other than the last 3 pokes I kinda don't get this team.

I'm liking the idea of Cresselia and Porygon2. I'm just gonna modify the EV's a tiny bit if that's ok with you, so that they can function a little better. Also Psyshock might be a better idea on Cresselia than Psychic in case Blissey or Chansey switches in. Anyways, I'll add them to the Defensive Core list. Thank you. That's fine; I just dumped into each defensive stat without any second thoughts lol ~Ikaru

Point taken. Good luck with your team.

Good luck outspeeding Scarf Chandelure with U-Turn, genius. And yeah good luck with trying to KO it too, if you can.
-
Well this was a pain to read. Anyways, replace Surf with Scald on Empoleon (good chance of burn), and replace Grass Knot for Roar. Run these EV's on it: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SDef. Also with all those recoil moves Emboar isn't really gonna last too long. If you want better Trick Room attackers I'd try Conkeldurr.

I have a lot of leads. But I can say that my alltime favorite is my fatass hippowdon, which takes hits and trolls like a boss.
-
Nice try, but no. He/she will just switch from Cincinno to Shadow Tag Chandelure and block your fake out. Explain to me how you will switch.

Most Noticable Problems: -You don't really have any defensive support. -Hazards such as Stealth Rocks will shred this team. Solution: -Fit Torkoal in place of one of your Pokemon. It can set up Stealth Rocks, get rid of other hazards, and makes a good defensive wall. Torkoal (M) @ Leftovers Trait: White Smoke EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SDef Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk) - Stealth Rock - Rapid Spin - Lava Plume - Yawn -I also recommend changing your Ninetales set. Since you have a defensive wall now is a good time to get a SpDef wall, and Ninetales does it pretty good. Ninetales (M) @ Leftovers Trait: Drought EVs: 252 HP / 12 SAtk / 184 SDef / 60 Spd Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk) - Flamethrower - Toxic - Substitute - Hidden Power [Fighting] Also listen to Aero's idea about switching Clear Smog on Chandy to HP Ice.

Was wondering how this got to #1 (since I was top 5 in beta and none of the guys up there used anything team like this), but then read that it was on Mysidia and I was like, oh yeah. Anyways, if you're worried about the fragility of Starmie I recommend switching it to Tentacruel. You can set up Toxic Spikes and Rapid Spin as well. It also gets rid of any Toxic Spikes on the field so you don't take poison damage from switching to Starmie. It's also good seeing that you only have 1 Spdef wall out of your 6 Pokemon (which are mostly Defensive built), and Tentacruel can make a great SpDef wall.
-
@Bullet: I like the Heatran+Ferro+Gliscor combo (Lava Plume > Flamethrower on Heatran though since it's a Spdef wall and greater chance of burn would be worth it to keep it alive longer perhaps). I'll add that to the main post.
-
I promise you that it isn't. Anyhow, perhaps you should post something more constructive next time, since after all the point of this thread is to try and help out people that need it, not to pose unnecessary off topic questions at it. Also TBT is a wasteland.

I'm not sure if there was already a thread pertaining to this, but I didn't see it so I'll make a new one. I believe that if people understand about offensive and defensive cores in the 5th Gen metagame, it might help them improve their team building, battling, and perhaps themselves as an overall trainer. Before I begin, let me briefly talk about what defensive and offensive cores are. A defensive core is a pair of Pokemon chosen to give a team a solid set of resistances as well as the ability to switch into attacking threats. Defensive cores have the ability to fend for each other in times of crisis, allowing it to stick around long enough to beat other teams (and many times consist of a physically defensive wall and a specially defensive wall). An offensive core on the other hand, is a pair of Pokémon that can fend off each other's type weaknesses and provide damaging results to opponent teams. Many offensive cores consist of a physical attacker and a special attacker, but those conditions vary upon type coordination. That is my perception on the two types of cores, and it has helped me become a very successful battler. Anyhow, consider the examples below (click spoilers). Defensive Cores: Offensive Cores: Now, this is where everyone else comes in. You guys can post any other good cores you come up with. Any good ones I see will be added to the main post, along with the username of the one that posted it. They can be from any tier (UU, OU, Uber, etc). You should format it exactly how I did, with core name, a detailed description, and movesets. If anyone has trouble reading it due to small text, hold down the ctrl button and scroll up with your mouse. This is mainly so that we can fit other well-thought cores people come up with and keep it closely organized. Nevertheless, I'm hopeing this will not only help you guys learn, but will help you act upon it. Good luck.

I'd go with Sword Dance or Choice Scarf Chomp over Life Orb Chomp (also Crunch isn't a good option, and neither would be Fire Fang since Rain halves it's damage, so go with Frustration or something). Also since the weather is so unstable, you'd be screwed over if you had rain while Excadrill was up, and Sand while Kingdra was up, etc. It's best to limit your team to uniform weather (just keeping 1 weather for the team), otherwise it's easy to take advantage of the team by getting rid of certain pokemon. If I were you i'd keep Hippo, Vap, Exca, and Garchomp, and switch Politoed and Kingdra to something sand-worthy like Skarmory and Reuniclus, or other Pokemon on those lines. If you stick to sand, Fire Fang is a good option on Garchomp.

Back when I was like 8, friend got me into Pokemon Cards, so I always collected and played around with him and stuff. When I got a GBA for my birthday some time later, I got Pokemon Ruby, my first Pokemon game. Played through that and became a Pokemon addict. Newer games started coming out, and I just went with the flow (Leaf Green, Emerald, Pearl, Platinum, Heart Gold. Later on when I heard about Nintendo making a Gen 5 (I bought Pokemon White when it came out for NDS), I frantically researched to see if any spoliers were leaked. Low and behold, Pokemon Online was there to let you test battle with them (back then they had their Japanese names and moves. So yeah from there it took me here.

Thx guise c:

Interesting team. Can't see any immediate weaknesses, unless you get outplayed.
-
Lots of Pokemon weak to ground. why not fit in Aerodactyl somewhere in there?
-
Team looks as if it was made using a random generator. I don't get it. Edit: I know nothing about triples, ignore my comment.

Parafusion Lanturn (F) @ Leftovers Trait: Volt Absorb EVs: 40 HP / 252 SAtk / 216 SDef Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk) - Thunder Wave - Confuse Ray - Thunderbolt - Scald This is probably one of the most annoying Lanturn sets you'll ever find. It's EV's are spread out in a way where it makes a decent Special Attacker as well as a decent Special Wall. Thunder Wave is a basic crippling move which has a chance of your opponent missing a turn (and fortunately it cuts their speed dramatically), but combine that with Confuse Ray, and you'll turn Lanturn into a deadly hax machine. Over the course of the paralyzes and confusions that is very likely to occur from this, Lanturn can regain any lost HP from Leftovers. Thunderbolt is for high-powered STAB, as well as Scald. Scald however gives you the possibility of burn, cutting your opponent Pokemon's attack in half and ensuring that Lanturn is tougher to kill.
