I mean absolutely no disrespect to anyone who has ever committed suicide. It’s not about the broad spectrum of these people. It speaks to the self. I know a few people who have tried to commit suicide, and every time I hear of it I’m shocked. Whether you’re a close friend of mine or I barely know you, I care. I would be sad that you’re gone. Your friends and family would be sad that you’re gone. Close friends, I’ll miss you dearly, wondering whether there was anything I could have done to prevent it, always replaying conversations in my head and trying to find the cues I missed. If I barely know you, I’ve missed out on the opportunity to get to know you, and who knows, we could have been great friends. I’d be sad for all the people closest to you, who would be greatly affected. Tying this back to the quote, you’ve snuffed out the most important thing you could have, yourself, and forcibly cut any and all ties you had. Cutting the ties may not affect you anymore, but it’s like a lifeline with all the other people you’ve made connections with. You may not think it, but people do care whether you’re around or not.

And in the interest of not making a wall of text, I’ll end this edition of BandorKitty Gives Life Advice here. But seriously, if you’re going through a tough time, remember that there are people who care about you and won’t give up on you.
