Yeah I know but my starter has the iron fist ability so that would make it better since i dont like the recoil on flare blitz and the stat decreases from close combat ensures it wont live 3 turns. And with acrobatics you cant use an item to make it stand up to infernape's potential.
Plus infernape is a glass canon. I do like to use it with grass knot since it will most definetely outspeed most bulky (thus heavy) water and ground types.
