Challenge solved, is it not? We can take the Kanohi Akaku, and the Rock Stone within it, no problem about it. No need for any conflict with this 'Doom'. And yet... Can Doom be trusted with this so-called Mask of Fate? Where were they from? Their behavior was unlike anyone encountered so far, their resources demonstrated a degree of planning and forethought, and those eyes... they betray someone who is not from here. Cicivexa strode towards Doom once more, his mental grip upon destruction strengthening in the background, but his rod not waved towards them. "The name is Cicivexa Vivivexa. My apologies for the misunderstanding, my better judgment seems to oft be interrupted by swift conclusions. That being said, may I ask what use you have for the Kanohi Calix?"

...I expected a more subtle, deceptive approach from you. Should've figured otherwise. Cicivexa lowered his rod, but kept it oriented towards this "Doom", his mental grip remaining strong as ever. He joined Hiroki in searching the room for clues.

As Cicivexa anticipated the hooded figure's response, his rod remained in their direction, while his mind gently held the metaphorical trigger. Is the choice of color a coincidence, a clue, or a deliberate misdirection? Are we in greater danger than I thought? It could just be another trick, but... His mental grip slowly tightening, he waited for the figure to respond, trying to suss out any falsehoods, in both demeanor and (possibly) words. If the hooded figure responded with lies, or with force, he was prepared to let loose a hailstorm in an instant.

After moments of frenzied deliberation, Cicivexa raised his staff towards the robed individual. "Hail, guardian of the stone. What challenge awaits us next?" Though the possibility of this mystery individual secretly serving Makuta were undeniable, questions remain as the fastest way to get answers.

Cicivexa's shroud of darkness broke for just a moment, revealing a face bathed instead in shock, before he could conceal it once again. "Indeed. Your ability to defend yourself is... quite astounding." Certainly, that elemental couldn't have come out of that wholly unscathed, yes? There must've been some form of wear or damage. Perhaps it just healed that quickly...? Could its defenses possibly be interrupted, and/or would instant immolation be necessary to destroy it? "I... am glad you are..." ...On our side? Not working against us, for now? Cicivexa didn't know what to think about this... was it an elemental? Its behavior was closer to a mammet, or possibly a golem given speech, if anything. Regardless, it appears to hold some amount of blame for their current situation. Taking part in enslaving and brainwashing a Primal, or a Voidsent, or... whatever equivalent these other worlds possess, possibly even an actual Goddess?! Such is either a grave mistake that can only lead to utter ruin, or a crime against both the world and common sense altogether! Then again, if it was powered by a mammet heart or some highly advanced golem magicks, perhaps its behavior is merely... programmed by some unknown creator, and they were the ones who enslaved Medusa? It clearly lacks any structure to hold the mechanics necessary for a mammet... but then again, mammets weren't really among his expertise, and he had never heard of any golems capable of any directions or motives beyond defending a location, and Cicivexa would like to think his work experience would render him a bit more than an amateur in that field. Actually, if it is powered by some manner of soulstone, perhaps breaking that would render the outer body vulnerable... Cicivexa stood there for quite some time, lost in thought and unable to finish whatever he was about to say, until he noticed the rest of the group proceeding through the puzzle that the elemental/golem had destroyed. He rushed along to follow them, dropping his line of thought for now.

Cicivexa ran the matorans' description through his head again and again. "This is an untested theory, but perhaps the firing mechanism won't activate if multiple people cross the tiles. Our Duty is to cross these tiles, and our Destiny rests on if we are United in our duty or not." Cicivexa cast Manaward for safety, and carefully traversed to a tile that hadn't been stepped on, but was adjacent to the one Hiroki was on. He was ready to step back if he triggered a trap.

Marl to M21, shoot cultist with training bow if they're not dead "More combatants on our side?" As much as Sir Marl would prefer to handle this situation himself, the consequences of failure were too dire to refuse additional men. "Welcome aboard. FEF: The Lost Lands [IC Thread]
Unlurking Sentinel replied to Twinwolf's topic in Unofficial Official RP Club's General
This time, Marl had braced himself for Johan's singing, and mostly managed to maintain his composure this time. He took out his Training Bow then rushed as far into the fray as he could (J23), before setting up an Overwatch position. Though his ballista was likely a surer shot at killing someone, he did not wish to fall too behind the group, if he wanted any glory out of this. "Listen well! Your days are numbered, and they're numbered less than one!"- 430 replies

Though he had returned from his trance, Hinabe didn't contribute to the theatrics. He lacked the personal investment in this case. Instead, he turned to Simeon and started a separate conversation. "Simeon, was this break-in part of your plan? It seems an odd coincidence for you to have organized a break-out the same day that Virtuous decided to tear the place down." Hinabe to D8

Cicivexa's shocked expression was noticeable even with his face concealed by both mask and shadow. "Are you trying to ki-" escaped his mouth before he noticed the light beaming down from the hole, and the silver abberation's attempts at communication. He tried to recall the geography of the entrance, if he saw a way to get to the hole from outside.

We really need to resolve some issues after this. Hinabe would normally try to resolve the latest complication immediately, but the fighting had started so soon, he didn't even have time to give another speech. "Haaaaaaaaaaaaa-" Hinabe to E-12, energy pawnch archer

"Well, I'm glad that for the time being, we have this sorted out. Now then, we have some pressing grievances to resolve first." Hinabe wished that he could've aided more in the resolution of this conflict. After all, resolving conflicts was his job. Perhaps if he intervened faster? Simeon had much better reflexes than him, and even he had to resort to violence immediately. Regardless, this was not the time for regrets. He approached the woman who unintentionally started it all, currently the passenger of a Wyvern Rider who seemed mildly similar in appearance, though the masks made it hard to tell. "May I?" He said this as he held out his hand towards the... "volatile" woman, intending to help her off of the wyvern. He knew a rescue exchange when he saw one, after all. Hinabe to E14, take Justine, drop her to F14

"Hold i-!" Hinabe tried to interject as soon as he noticed Crimson's blood started burning, but was interrupted by his proclamation of rage. The Rian blood in this prison seems even more potent than he thought. When Simeon attacked Crimson in retaliation, he couldn't help but add to the discussion. "We have no need to start anything between us. For the moment, at least, we are all fighting for a common goal. Do not simply ignore your anger, but if you must, direct it elsewhere for now."

Hinabe to H-15, end Shaman A's misery Hinabe was surprised when the guard had listened to Masuda's plea for violence, and surprised still with her subtle shift in composure. The way she focused her enhanced anger seemed particularly potent. Not trained, like that of he and his former contemporaries in the Order, but just as strong already. That attitude of yours, Masuda... I can't tell where it'll take you, but you're going places, no doubt about it.

Some of the scorch marks had healed quickly, as they always did for Hinabe. However, his shirt did not repair. Hinabe shifted to the left in the same dodging motion, and threw a laser at the Fighter. Hinabe to J-16, end Fighter's miserable life. After that, he turned to the guards confronting Virtuous. "Give up, you're surrounded. Unless you all have Perus-for-brains, you'll drop your weapons now." That'd rile up the patriots in 'em. May as well make this fight end quicker and more fun. But now that he had turned his brain back on long enough to speak, he began questioning the circumstances that led to this practically guaranteed jailbreak. Virtuous breaking in on the same day Simeon was breaking out? Was this also part of his plan, or was it fate? Someone had to be in charge of this, and he didn't know who less to trust on the wheel: a band of fellow vigilantes, or the Horse.

Cicivexa lacked the equipment to detect aether, and was not trained with use in it regardless, but as the most capable magic user in the party (or so he'd see himself), he had to give it a shot. He probably couldn't detect any but the most dangerously high concentrations unaided, but perhaps his new form in this world changed that. He attempted to attune to the Lifestream or whatever this world's equivalent was (OoC: the electromagnetic field?) to detect magic in the surrounding area. Failing that, he trusted his eyes to catch something.

"If you lay a hand on me, Captain Something-Or-Other, I will first ensure that what remains of it requires amputation, and then perform the duty myself." Cicivexa was well aware that he was the most easily tossable member of the group, but he greatly disliked being pushed around. "If the Earth Elemental's bridge does not work, then perhaps Edmond can find on the other side a mechanism to get the rest of us across." Unlike before, he had been making measures to learn the names of those in his party. "I know of a spell that can allow me to attune to and teleport to other people, but I do not remember how to cast it, and whatever brought me to the Castle seems to have somewhat undone my connection to my Soul Stone. Besides, I doubt I could extend its power to others if I tried."

FEF: The Lost Lands [IC Thread]
Unlurking Sentinel replied to Twinwolf's topic in Unofficial Official RP Club's General
Marl was still in his bizarre pain-trance when he heard a familiar voice, and someone tried to lift him up from the ground. No sooner than did she start helping him up, when he spasmed forward and regained full consciousness. "Wh-w-what happened?! Anea, why are y-" is what he managed to spit out before realizing the mess he was in, and turning to everyone else who had paid attention to his "spectacle" (both his being stunned by the Skald's shout, and being treated like a child by Anea). "If any of the rest of you mention moment this outside of these rooms, I'll-" He probably would've continued with I'll tear your abdomens open and use your small intestines as spare bowstrings, and the large intestines as your noose, but he managed to take control of his temper, and returned the arrow to his quiver.- 430 replies
