"..." A pause as Arthur listens. His eyes close and a quiet sigh comes out of his nose. "Damned warden... can't keep his yap shut..." He takes a small, deep breath. "...Yes, Engarde... isn't a last name. I refuse to use either last names that were given to me, because I've all but abandoned my previous life. I promise Arthur is my real name... that much I'll keep to myself. But familial ties I do not wish to carry. I'm like Kane in a sense... I don't want to share my real last name, but only because I'd rather have no last name than have that. As for the ransom..." Arthur's face scrunches up, somewhat in pain, struggling to say it. "...Forgive me... but I don't... wish to say who I am or why that warden saw fit to sell me off. It's... it's difficult to, especially when we've just met, though I respect you greatly... I hope you can understand. But... If you must know, I'll tell you the last name I'd rather use of the two... it's Gardner. But if you must use my last name... I insist on Engarde... though I guess again, that doesn't really matter much."

Kane nods a little amidst everyone's introductions, looking at the stairs in the back. "We can finish up introductions on the way out; best not to stick around in one place too long. You all go on ahead, I'm gonna go find a back entrance to hopefully wherever they may keep prison wagons. As decent as Diezel's wagon is, it's gonna be a bit cramped in there with six more people and I would rather everyone have something a bit more spacious, but please try to give Orchid a bit of a wide berth or stick together until I get back to keep him under control, I hopefully won't be longer than a couple minutes... are you two going to catch up too, I hope?" Kane looks at Arthur and Mim. Arthur seems a bit deterred at first due to only just being snapped out of his small funk at Tabitha's codename, but it seems like even he can't resist Mim's sickeningly sweetness as he lets a tiny sigh out, following her. "We'll... try to be back quickly." Kane quietly nods. "Alright. Virtuous, if you could all wait for me in the front, I won't be too long." Kane leaves for the stairs in the back. Simeon gives a shrug. "Better get out there soon, Jules'll probably wanna be hearin' that I'm safe, but I'm gonna have to break the news to him... he's probably not gonna take too well to havin' to take over the shop."

Mercia flinched a little bit as she watched the execution of the archer she missed; while she was angry at the archer for not staying still when she was attacking, that death was a bit brutal... at the same time though, there was a sort of elegance Rosanne had to it that made it oddly beautiful. And after all, it was for the good of the townsfolk; these people were causing trouble, so it must have been fine... And she does look really cool with Excalibur Glacius... Mercia mused to herself as she watched Rosanne in action.

Kane pauses a little bit. "...Normally I'd prefer to keep my name a secret... but I suppose it's only fair after I did ask Arthur. Just call me Kane for now, but not while we're on missions, of course. Rose is a fine name. And I'm afraid I have not heard of any murder of Iori Masuda, myself." Arthur, on the other hand, looks wildly uncomfortable the second Tabitha asked to be called Rose. His facial expression looks similar to when he first looked before he yelled at Justine, but instead of following up with rage, he clutched his arm with one hand and buried his face in another hand, as if trying to force himself to not fly into a rage. "Why that one...?" He whispered to no one in particular, though keeping his voice low enough to keep Tabitha from hearing, only those who may have been close to him hearing.

Kane looked... Rather surprised at everyone's sudden insistence to join. His face turned from genuine surprise... to having his confidence seem to come back to light. Ferdiad's words seem to snap him a little back into reality, as he gave a smile and a nod to Ferdiad, then to Mim. "...Of course, Knight. Everyone's welcome to start anew here in Virtuous. Snowbird is a fine code name, as well as Golden Eye... You're all very welcome here in Virtuous; I'll do my best to make sure you all live comfortably, especially to make up for that awful prison time." Kane turns to Reiko, a small nod after her words. "You're welcome to stay in Virtuous as long as you need or want to. But a code name is necessary; think of it as a secret identity to protect your own and everyone else's. If you used your real name on the field, you can be traced back to others in Virtuous, or people close to you may get hurt as a threat to you. Not to mention, if your names get released to the public as fugitives, that'll just indicate where you all are located and more people might be going for a potential bounty. It's all for safety, I promise." A pause from Kane, before sudden laughter emerges. It's almost unfamiliar, until everyone may realize that Crimson is laughing for the first time; it's not even sarcastic laughter, it's pretty genuine laughter. Kane looks confused for a second before Crimson calms down quickly and looks toward Kane. "Me, being offered a spot in Virtuous? How silly. My father hated all of your guts, wouldn't stop talking about how you were all insignificant, worthless insects ruining everything for him and making life for himself miserable... Naturally, I'm in." Kane's confusion seems to stay. "Not... much of a family man then, are you? Alright, Crimson... you'll need a codename too, then." "Understandable. My codename is going to be King Explosion Murder the Fifth." A quiet pause from both. "...It was a joke. Crimson isn't actually my name, I'll just go by that instead." "Okay... Out of curiosity, then... do you want to share your real name? Dead men tell no tales, after all." Crimson briefly looked at everyone. For once, his face actually looked seriously nervous. He closed his eyes for a brief moment. "...You don't have to share if you don't want to, you know." Crimson took in a deep breath... then exhaled. He shook his head, as if internally debating something. A silence runs heavy from him for a little while, before... "My name... is Arthur. Arthur... Engarde."

Kane gave a slow nod. "...I understand... I promise that I'll make this group a better place for you. You are our newest member and you should be allowed to feel safe here... Just know that you can always come to me if you need anything. I'll always be there to listen." ... After making sure Lizaveta was okay, Kane gathered up the rest of Virtuous and met in the hall of the prison, asking the prisoners to also meet him if they would. Simeon and Crimson both moved from their original spots to join them, Crimson standing off a little bit to the side. Standing in front of everyone, he quietly paced as he waited for everyone minus Baldur to gather... then spoke. "Everyone... while this mission was a success, we overthrew Warden Ganymede's tyranny, freed you all to go on with your lives, and even got a little bit for ourselves..." Kane fiddles a little bit with the Blade Ring he got, before putting it back in his pocket. "...I can not say in full confidence this was entirely a success. However, it has paved the road for one thing in my mind; that Virtuous is more than this. While I'm sure you who were once prisoners may see us as dysfunctional... I won't say you are incorrect, but know that I plan to correct this. That goes for Virtuous as well... Orchid's behavior was inexcusable, and I will be making sure to tend to him when we arrive at home. Know that I am going to improve from seeing this incident, and know that I will be making damn sure this will be the last bit of dysfunction within the group. We are a team and we deserve each other's respect. I only ask that as I work harder to keep us all together... that you all work just as hard to further our goal to keep this continent in check, even if it involves doing some dirty work. As for the ex-prisoners... this is where we part ways. I do wish I had made a better impression for you all, but-" Simeon clears his throat. "Whatdya think of Anvil?" Kane looks over at Simeon, raising an eyebrow. "...Anvil?" Simeon nodded. "Ye. Anvil. Me new codename. I ain't gonna be doin' much on the field, but I think yer in the market for a new blacksmith, aye? My back ain't what it used to be, but I assure ye I only do quality work. I will admit, I got a bit of a desire for some coin, so I'd like some payment for me services, but I assure you they'll be pretty decent prices. Oh, and I ain't takin' no for an answer; even if ye don't pay me for nothin', I'm still gonna be keepin' an eye on things for yer sakes before I head back to my place if ye really don't want me, get it?" Kane narrowed his eyebrows, looking Simeon in the eye for a bit. Simeon just nods, and after a pause, Kane nods back. "...Very well... I can't say I expected that, but welcome to Virtuous, Anvil. Your services will be appreciated and welcomed among our team as long as you're certain for our cause. We aren't simply petty criminals, after all. We work for the good of humanity. Vigilantes, so to say, doing what's right to stop injustice from happening in this world. No small job is ever unimportant... and I'll make sure that after this rough first impression, I'll make sure to live up to your expectations. And I hope the rest of us will as well."

"Understandable, really... no one can force ye to do anything. But I do appreciate ye givin' em a chance... maybe ye'll even find the lead ye're lookin' for, Virtuous does have a tendency to get around the place... and we can hopefully keep an eye on that Orchid fella." Simeon gives a short nod in response to the bear meat. "Never been much of a cook meself, I'm damn good at smithing but it don't always translate to cooking, I'm afraid. I usually just have Jules do the cookin', he's never minded... good lad, he is, I'll be a bit sad to see him off. --- Kane pauses for a little bit, looking back at Lizaveta before turning back to Justine and Ferdiad. "...I'm sorry, but I'll need just a moment... I'd like to attend to Scarlet and see how she is. Just let me know if you need anything, please. I'm always looking out for you both." Kane walks rather quickly back over to Lizaveta, trying not to flat out run but still walk as fast as he could before stopping a couple feet away from her, giving a small nod of thanks to Lenore. "Scarlet... I wish I could apologize for this, but I don't believe I can properly accept one until I've made sure Orchid never treats you like this again. I promise to you that I will take care of him and make sure you don't have to worry about him anymore. I'll make sure to do my best so you feel safe here... I never wanted anyone to be hurt like this by our own teammates, and it's my responsibility to make sure you all feel safe. Is there anything you need right now that I can do for you? I'm going to give a short assessment of everything, we'll head back home... and I'll see to it Orchid learns from what has transpired here."

Justine's warm words and Ferdiad's calm served to help Kane look a bit less exhausted as he perked up ever so slightly. "No worries, Knight. This will get resolved with time. I'll be rallying the Virtuous members inside the prison together so we can all march outside, and I'll make sure to keep everyone held together when we meet Orchid outside. And Orchid will have some talking to do with me, I promise... for now, we'll tend to the others, alleviate pressure. I want to particularly check on Scarlet, but I want to know first and foremost that you two will be okay and if there's anything I can do right now for either of you to help just a little bit." --- Simeon looks a bit surprised at Reiko's agreement. "Not the reaction I expected... but ye know what? Ye're a smart lass... If ye're comin' with, then I should teach ye how to be a smith, I might be in the market for a new apprentice since I'll be havin' Jules man the shop back at home... but first, we'll see how this all blows over. If we're not accepted, we can always find another route... Bear does sound good right about now."

Kane gave a tiny little sigh afterwards and shook his head as Ferdiad approached, looking up at him. "No worries, Knight... it's my duty as leader to be able to solve these disputes, and in that you have not failed, but it was I who have failed you as my right hand, not being able to take care of this on my own. You can only do the best you can do... right now, we'll just let Orchid have his space, and I'll make sure to give him a hefty talking to. You've done nothing wrong."

Mercia lets off a small curse as the Archer dodges her attack. Rosanne to N9, stab Archer.

"Heh... I warned ye. My plan... as strange as the lot is... think I might go with 'em. Not every day you can say ye're a part of the infamous band terrorizing the world. Not to mention, I'm quite curious about what they've got in store... and maybe they might need an extra hand or two to keep from more physical violence happenin'... someday, ye'll have te tell me how good bear meat is." --- Kane's hardened, exhausted expression turned to one of warmth, as he turned to Justine with a more gentle expression. "...You don't have to apologize, Justine..." He whispered only to her, letting her name be heard to the both of them alone. "That word will never define you, no matter how many times it is thrown at you. You alone define who you are... and there are many positive qualities you can say about yourself. A few examples I can think of... you have a contagious smile, you have an aura of positivity around you, and you always have something to say to make someone happy. There are so many great things to describe you with... no amount of insult like that can penetrate those qualities about you. And if you ever need someone to reassure you of that... I'm always here for you. As your leader... and as a friend, too." --- ...For a brief moment, Crimson broke out of his trance to see how Justine was doing. He watched... and overheard her words. He couldn't stick around to listen to what Kane said afterward, for all he could feel was guilt. His eyes closed. Learn, damn it... they'd both think you were pathetic for stooping so low... and stop feeling sorry for yourself, just... ...Crimson listened, opened his eyes, and watched as Shin passed by. "Oi." He speaks still looking as if he were lost in thought, his eyes closing afterwards, indicating that he too, was done with conversation. "You're not responsible for someone losing their marbles over what someone said to defend you. They are. You didn't do anything... trust me, I'd know."

Kane quietly paused and let Baldur speak. He did not respond as Baldur left, and quietly turned to Justine. "...I know you most definitely are unhappy with him, Minstrel, but it's best we don't give chase... hopefully a little alone time like he wants so desperately will help him realize he's being out of line and make him more willing to understand he can't be acting like this. I'll be having a talk with him later, rest assured, I am not going to allow him to treat the rest of you like this... but please, allow me to handle it. I know you'll want to be angry at him, and I don't blame you... but as your leader, please let me handle him." Kane clearly sounded somewhat exhausted, but spurred by Lenore's previous words.

A quiet sigh from Kane in response to Lenore's words. "I'm hanging in there, Mink... I'm hanging in there. I'm not gonna let Virtuous fall due to disputes like this." ----- "Hm... what do I suggest ye do in the meantime?... I'll be honest, I ain't sure. We are wanted prisoners, and there may be wanted posters with our faces on 'em as soon as the mornin' hits... I think I got a little plan in mind for what I wanna do, but I don't think ye'll like that one."

"...Ye have a point there. And I understand that... weapons are replaceable, but heirlooms... afraid they're the one thing ye can't replace. If ye give me a little time after we exit, I'm sure I'll have somethin' for ye... I had Jules send me some supplies too in case I needed to make spares on the road." --- Crimson gave a little bit of a bow himself in response to Justine, but it wasn't much; it was clear he hadn't bowed in... a while. "No need to worry about that, especially in this situation... do what you must, I have thoughts to sort out in the meantime." Crimson seems to go back into deep thought as Justine leaves. It's like you always said and proved to me... never judge someone by their appearance or even their first impression... --- Kane notices Mim's healing of Lizaveta, and looks a little bit exhausted in response seeing it. Truthfully, he wanted Baldur to be able to rectify his own mistakes... but the faster Lizaveta healed her injuries before they got serious, the better. A quiet sigh comes out of his mouth as he tried to formulate a response, then Justine came in... at this point, Kane just let her have it. "...Thank you, Minstrel." There was a tone of 'that will be all' in Kane's voice, as he clearly tried not to lose it any further, trying to hint to Justine that enough was enough. "...Scarlet already got the treatment needed, so that's on me for going off... but at the same time, my point still stands and I would rather nobody escalate it; I'd like you to personally apologize to Scarlet, Orchid. Once more, that is an order. You don't have to say anything besides a simple apology, I'd rather you just show me you're capable of stability at the moment, then do what you can to calm down. It clearly worked for Crimson who, again, you condemned for similar attempted acts of violence, I expect it to work for you too."

Simeon gives a bit of a shrug to Reiko, leaning against a wall and sighing. "Eh... They're young. They'll cool it down after a little while... when ye get to be my age, ye've seen it all and ye've even done it all. Ye shoulda seen me temper when Jules accidentally rammed me ass with a hot poker... ye can ask him, he's still got the scar. But ye learn to calm down and forgive... but again, I'm gettin' old, that man's still young... but it ain't any of me business. Don't ye worry about me... I just hope ye'll be fine, especially with yer missin' sword... pardon me for askin', but is it anythin' I can't substitute? I am a blacksmith, after all..."

Simeon looks like he's mildly amused watching the whole thing, but even he has to stop enjoying the banter once a punch is thrown and Kane starts yelling. He awkwardly turns to a couple of the ex-prisoners who are not talking with anyone. "...Hm... Bit of a complicated lot, it seems." Crimson was also one to notice the punching and subsequent yelling, and even Crimson with his normally stoic expression looks rather shocked. He looks at Lizaveta, almost a twinge of pity in his eyes, just a tad... before he shakes his head and looks to Justine. "Okay... No, I don't need an apology. What I did was an overreaction, it was unnecessary especially of me to threaten you, and while I would like to ask for no more jabs at... whatever girls I may have danced with, you could not have known that would spark a reaction of that nature from me and it was... unfair of me to not give you a chance. What I'm trying to say is...... erm..." A small pause. "...sorry." Crimson awkwardly looks back to Kane and Baldur. "Out of mild curiosity... how... often does this happen, exactly?" Crimson asks in a brief attempt to initiate a decent conversation with Justine. He briefly ponders to himself... I'm trying, you know... I'm far from perfect, but I can use my eyes...

Kane raised an eyebrow at 'theater troupe', but then looked over a little bit at some of the members, then gave a little shrug. "I appreciate that, Fey. You may have heard my name in whispers, but my name... well, codename, is Phoenix." Kane looks at Shin briefly with a serious look when Fey brings up his real name, turning his attention back toward her. "...That might be going a bit too far." Kane briefly pauses, but lowers his voice to a whisper. "Though I would not forbid it." He looks back over to Mim. Though a touch exhausted, Kane keeps his ground. "Your concern is not unnoticed. I will admit a little bit of the attitude toward Ficus can be... improved somewhat, but once more, I can not dictate how others feel. I try my best to give support to Ficus, I wish I could have been there to give him some breathing room when Crimson was yelling... but ultimately some basic necessities I can not force upon him. I can not force him to shower if he does not want to past a gentle reminder on occasion..." Kane briefly looks toward Fey before going back to Mim. "...and I can not force him to change his outfit if he does not want to. I do wish I could... but I do have to make sure everyone else gets support as well. In the end, as long as Ficus is content... well, others may not be very content, but I trust Ficus to be able to learn for himself how to balance that, even if some... persuasion may be necessary at times. Perhaps I have been a bit too lenient... but in the end, some things I want to be able to trust Ficus on." Kane tops his message off, but then an explosion of noise caused him to whirl around. For a brief moment, Kane started to realize why exactly he couldn't give full attention to Shin. "Scarlet! I cannot condone Orchid's comments toward Ficus either, and I understand your anger, but please try to keep it together!" Kane briefly looks over at Mim, apologetically. "I'm sorry, please excuse me for a moment..." Kane moves a little closer to Lizaveta and Baldur, prepared to stop any sort of fighting, but it was clear his words cost him a bit too much time. Kane's face hardens significantly. "ORCHID! Too far!" Kane immediately inserts himself between Baldur and Lizaveta. "Once more; you are not forced to like each other, but at least have some self-respect as to not stoop as low to the same level of who you condemned! I am extremely disappointed in you!" Kane immediately gets in front of Baldur as he attempts to walk away. For once, Kane looks rather furious. "Orchid, as your leader, I will not tolerate your blatant abuse of your fellow teammate! This is exactly the kind of thing that young lady condemned us for! Our goal as Virtuous is to better the world and we can not achieve a goal that large if we reach that level of infighting! I am not going to pretend I understand your motivations, and you may be justified in your anger, but your actions were reprehensible and I order you to heal Scarlet this instant or risk expulsion from Virtuous! Do I make myself clear!?"

Kane was caught a little off guard at Mim's sudden accusations and rant, but managed to keep his cool and listen. "...I can assure you that as the leader of Virtuous, I take good care of everyone-" Kane is then definitely caught off guard by Baldur's rant. Kane briefly notices Crimson looking over Justine's shoulder, looking about ready to lose his cool, before quickly intervening. "Orchid! That's enough. I thank you for your defense, but we've already had enough disputes among each other with the previous incident, please let me take care of things. Miss..." Kane looks to Fey. "Please know that Orchid means well. He may get angry, but we're all family; we look out for each other." Kane calmly looks back to Mim, noting Crimson turning his attention back to Justine and beginning to take deep breaths again. "Now, to assure you of my treatment of Virtuous... Even if I am not cooking for the day, I do my best to make sure everyone eats enough food, including Ficus; I do not allow anyone to go hungry under my leadership. His mask was of his own choosing, I also assure you; I give a variety of choices for disguise for everyone, and it fits with his codename. I assure you that it is not a real leaf either, you'll find that it's fake and no different from any other mask aside from design... as for his clothing, I'll admit I have tried a few times to get him to try to wear something nicer, but he's always insisted he's fine... not that I don't worry about him, but while I try to always look out for my teammates, Ficus is still an adult who makes his own decisions, and I cannot force him to do anything past live under our roof... even if he may need some work on taking care of himself, but that's for him to work on."

"Don't say that, Orchid. Any progress is good, even if a little bit slow. I will agree, with... a little bit of exception, everyone worked together very admirably. A lucky time indeed, it seems." Kane turns his attention to Lenore, thinking for a brief moment as he looks over to the two surrendered folks. "Seems like we've accomplished all we needed to do... just a matter of deciding what to do with these two..." In the meantime, Crimson stayed to himself until freed from Ferdiad's grasp, in which he sort of... stuck to himself on the side, grasping his sleeve as he seemed to take deep breaths. He looked briefly over at Mim acting nicely to... him, and felt his eye twitch, before closing his eyes and continuing to take deep breaths, whispering to himself in between. "Control your emotions... don't let your anger get the best of you... damn good you've been doing about that- no, just calm down... deep breaths, like they taught you..." ...His concentration seemed stable, until Justine spoke to him. His eyes opened, and a particularly deep breath came out of him before he spoke, in the clear voice of someone who was trying very hard to not get angry, but was clearly just a poke away from it. "...I see we're in agreement on something. I don't tolerate insults even in a mere flighty jest; what may be funny to you certainly is not to me. I'll be willing to apologize if you are as well; I'm the first to admit I am, at times, an enraged beast... but if not, we'll be at a standstill. True apology cannot come without both parties coming to an understanding."

Ganymede laughs sarcastically as Mim approaches him with her bowstring drawn, going for his axe, only to realize his mistake and looking on in fear as Mim opens fire... “No! I refuse to accept this outcome!" Ganymede's wyvern gives a low cry as it slumps to the ground, Ganymede falling over on top of it... “No... I'm... I'm Ganymede... the master of this prison... I'm..." Ganymede falls over, dead with his wyvern. The Monk and Hunter watch as their master falls over dead, immediately getting to their knees. "We surrender! Spare us, please!" "We don't have any ill will now that Ganymede's dead! We won't tell anyone what happened here, promise!" VICTORY! Simeon put a bit of pressure on his back, letting out a small groan as he gave a stretch while responding to Hinabe. "Nah. Pretty damn lucky coincidence, if ye ask me... I still have faith we coulda gotten out on our own, but havin' Virtuous here... heh, maybe the world ain't so bad after all." Enemy Phase “Block the entrance! They're like cockroaches; obnoxious to kill, but we can separate them! You there; thin their defenses for me!" Ganymede recovers 2 HP. Monk A moves to C3. Hunter moves to C5. The Hunter obeys his command, blocking the entrance and sending a blast of light at Justine. The Monk on the other hand goes close to Mim and fires a blast of light at her, which Mim swiftly dodges. “Imbecile! You had one job! God, must I do everything myself!?" Ganymede bellows as he equips his Steel Mace and lunges at Fey... resulting in a similar outcome to last time. Ally Phase Simeon moves to C10. TURN 14   Player Phase Ferdiad recovers 5 HP!
