Mercia still felt a little... awkward about Blodeuyn's first comment, but the praise softened her up just a tad. "Th... Thanks." She watched the onslaught, wincing as Rosanne took damage and gasping in shock as the bolt of magic took her down. "L-Lady Rosanne! H-hang in there, we'll keep you safe!" Mercia turned a glare at the opponents. "How dare any of you lay a hand on the queen!? You must be taught a lesson!" Lucan to I10, heal Neve

Reiko engages the Soldier, taking him out with a swift blow. Hinabe sends a blast of fist-shaped light at the Archer, ending them as well. EXP: (45/100) Stats (Enemy Stats)

Mim twangs the Soldier. It didn't look like it hurt them much, but Crimson's glare made them seem to recoil with pain even more. Meanwhile, Kane pops the chest, taking out a small red ring. I hope you can all behave so I don't regret giving this to any of you... Kane obtained a Blade Ring! EXP: (39/100) Stats (Enemy Stats)

Crimson growls, looking about ready to snap at Tabitha... but shakes his head, whispering to himself. "Not worth it... not worth it..." He stops after he hears and sees Tabitha punch Shin; a satisfying sight for him. Enemy Phase For a brief moment, nobody seems to move. However, some can see a couple of the guards peeking their heads out and snickering, at least until Crimson speaks. "...What the fuck are you looking at, you worthless peons? Come here and just try to pierce my armor. I'll melt your flesh off to the point where you're unrecognizable to your sobbing families." Now noticed, the enemies, while hesitant, come out of hiding to attack. Soldier D moves to E11. Archer D moves to D12. Soldier C moves to D13. Cavalier A moves to E8. Cavalier B moves to G8. Cavalier C moves to F8. Soldier B moves to G7. Archer A moves to F6. Archer B moves to H6. The Soldier is afraid of Crimson's wrath, but tries to attack anyway. He fails pretty badly. The Archer also tries to attack Crimson. He similarly fails due to Crimson's intimidation tactics. "Fucking pathetic. I could fucking aim better on top of a two-legged horse. You all should be fucking ashamed of yourselves, goddamned amateurs." The enemy troops look thoroughly defeated mentally. Crimson, on the other hand, looks like he feels a lot better. Aidan looked a bit... flustered to see Cassidy suddenly snatch the Knight's belt, and it almost threw him off his already slightly panicked game after Johan's roar. Afterwards, he looked at the Knight. "...Well, on the bright side, you won't have to worry about belts any longer, good sir. I'm afraid I'm on a bit of a tally, you see." Aidan toasts Knight B.

Crimson simply kept to himself as Mim yelled at Virtuous, figuring he did not need to join her yelling. However, there was a hint of satisfaction inside as they were yelled at... though this was quickly eliminated. Mim didn't tug Crimson down very far; he was tall and somewhat well built, but the effect was there and he didn't fight back. "...very well." His words didn't carry exactly an understanding tone, but he wasn't untruthful. Internally, he respected Mim... but that didn't stop him from not being too happy about being yelled at. Again. It was, thankfully, her harsh words at Virtuous that allowed him to keep his cool. Meanwhile, Kane looked to Lenore as she arrived again, nodding back while whispering a thanks.

Simeon had begun to walk back, but turns around and sighs as he begins to start walking back toward Crimson, clearly tired out and unable to move as fast as Crimson begins anew. It seems even he's somewhat more annoyed than angry, as if a fly had been buzzing around him for quite some time before he got tired of trying to swat at it, but the anger is still present. "Did I need your goddamn help? No. Kindness? Don't make me laugh. I've met thugs kinder than the lot of you. Even I can see I'm far gone, but you all? You're all just as dragged down to hell with me. Do you honestly think you can defeat me with that pathetic little stick of yours when compared to my fire? You-" "ENOUGH!" Kane has finally shown himself. He clearly looks exhausted, and taking deep breaths to calm himself. It's rare for Kane to lose his cool like this. "Orchid, I understand your frustrations, and they are not unfounded. I thank you for looking out for everyone, but we all need to take a step back and remember who we're fighting. I don't want to have to leave Mink alone to do lock-picking all by herself, I trust you can all solve this like adults." Kane turns his attention to Crimson in particular. "You. I don't know your name, but I hope you know that you are talking to not just Minstrel, not just Orchid, but the entirety of Virtuous. If you denounce one of us, you denounce the rest of us. You don't have to appreciate our help, and I don't know why your outburst was necessary. I won't pretend to know you as well as you do, but for everyone's sake, calm the hell down. I'd rather not come back out here until I have whatever's in the treasury, so please don't make me." Crimson glares at Kane. Kane meets his glare with his own, before Crimson, yet again, groans and turns his attention back to the warden door, gritting his teeth in frustration. "Whatever... Fine. I won't speak unless spoken to. That way it's your own team's fault if I hurt their feelings." Not entirely satisfied but in a rush, Kane walks his way back to the door, sighing and exhaustively finishing unlocking the door, muttering under his breath only audible enough for Lenore to hear. "I should have thought this mission out better... do a better job next time, Phoenix..."

Crimson attempts to ignore Hinabe for a brief moment, but then turns back to Shin with a sharp glare. "I don't know what the fuck you are talking about, you filthy disease-ridden mutt-" At this point, Simeon has gotten closer to Crimson, intending on getting his axe back. "Crimson. Behave-" Crimson's head has now whipped towards Lizaveta, his patience clearly being tested. "You dare preach to me about who is my enemy, little girl? Anyone who dares to-" It isn't Simeon who breaks the silence this time, it's Kane from afar. He's audible, even to the prison squad; the walls aren't that great, it seems. "I can hear you from over here, you know! I don't know who you are, prisoner of this place, but if you keep harassing my team, you will have me to answer to! Now calm down!" Crimson looks about ready to snap, but Simeon just picks up his axe and looks at him. "Crimson, ye're gettin' too high strung. The guards might be coming, why don't ye try venting a little bit of frustration on them?" Crimson growls, but turns his attention back to the warden's quarters. Simeon turns back to the prisoners, and also shifts his head to Virtuous. "Once again, sorry. I'd personally like te get outta here, so I'd like ye all to take Hinabe over here's advice and not fight. I know I won't... lost me temper meself a little there, I shouldn't be chuckin' axes... oof, yep, gonna be feelin' that one in the mornin'..."

Crimson groans as Mim pokes him with her bow. "...Don't poke me... I'll stop, as long as they don't bother me..." Crimson just rolls his eyes at Justine's first half of speaking. It seems like he wanted to say something during her brief pause, but Mim's words caused him to calm down. ...Her second half, however, causes his emotion to change from cold, indifferent... to horribly shocked. His entire body seems to quake, before he meets Justine's eyes, gritting his teeth. Slowly, his expression begins to turn from cold indifference, going past his usual anger at his imprisonment. There is nothing but burning fury in his eyes. "How... How dare you?" In almost an instant, Crimson raises his tome, as if to cast a spell, yelling loudly enough to echo even to Lenore and Kane. "HOW FUCKING DARE YOU, WENCH!?" Simeon immediately tosses his axe in front of Crimson. It manages to land in the ground in front of him, barely hitting his feet, causing him to recoil and stop his casting. "Crimson! What the hell has gotten into ye!? Ye raise your magic against a lass who wants nothing more than a bit'a playful banter!?" Crimson's shaking in fury continues, but his expression seems to go to a forced calmness. He looks over at Simeon, at Mim, at the rest of the people he broke out of prison with, before turning his attention to where the warden is without a word, not even a groan of displeasure. Simeon looks at Justine apologetically. "Forgive me, young lass of Virtuous... I'm not sure that's a reaction ye get everyday. I hope that won't deter ye from helping..."

Crimson scoffed at the arrival of the knight. "Well isn't it about time. I wasted so much goddamn time sitting around in this hellhole and you have the audacity to take your sweet fucking time and choose today-" Simeon loudly clears his throat from afar, drawing closer. Annoyed, Crimson simply looks away. Simeon speaks up. "Ye'll have to forgive 'im, we're all... high in emotion. This prison's no place for a human being to be kept prisoner, no matter how checkered their past may be. We'll gladly work with ye... just as the young lass said, I might have to stay behind. But don't worry about escorting me. Ye'll need all the firepower ye can get to take on the warden; he'll probably be readying his last line of defense right now..." Crimson looks at Lizaveta who was dropped off to him by Ferdiad. His look turns into a small glare as he shunted her aside. "...I'm not exactly in the mood to talk to anyone from Virtuous, so don't expect me to drag you around like Goldilocks expects me to do." Enemy Phase In the warden’s quarters… “Warden Ganymede! The prisoners are escaping, and Virtuous is raiding the prison right now! What do we do!?” Ganymede’s wyvern gave a low growl as it stared down the guard that approached him, giving him a bit of a panic attack that prompted Ganymede to give a laugh. “That’s not my problem, is it? Surely even fools like you can squash a few bugs without needing to come crying to me for every little thing? Go on, then. Go alert the rear guard and fight them.” The soldier seems to hesitate for a short time, before giving a salute and leaving the room, prompting Ganymede to give another haughty laugh as his wyvern calmed down. “Virtuous, hm? What a joke… and all of the prisoners were on death row anyway. Watching them all die together will be an interesting little scene.” Ally Phase Simeon moves to K15. Mercia moves to H9 and blasts the Soldier.

Mercia wanted to say how nice of a poem that was, but she was still reeling a little bit from Blodeuyn's comment. She decides to take her excess frustration and thankfulness out on the Fighter nearby. Stay put and blast the Fighter.

Mercia looked significantly less confident as she actually went up to attack the Fighter, not just because of Blodeuyn's words, but because of the glimpse of his axe... the way he held it and the way it gleamed in the sunlight reminded her of... ...Needless to say, she looked for a brief moment like she wanted to retort at Blodeuyn, but just didn't say much. "It was just... something to boost the confidence... that's all."

Kane watches Ferdiad carefully as he almost says his normal name, but nods in approval at his codename being used. "Permission granted, Knight. Let them know that we are Virtuous and we are willing to give them aid in escape, if they will join us in taking down the warden of this prison-" Kane recoils ever so slightly at Baldur's yells, but speaks calmly in response. "We'll get there, Orchid. He's only one mage... just stay calm and keep Mink safe; your healing is impeccable and can outpace whatever that mage can do. I'm gonna need you all to keep it together for a bit, take out that dark mage and meet up and cooperate with the prisoners. I remember there's a small treasury over there, and I haven't gotten to do much with my lockpicks... when Mink gets up, let her know she can join me if she needs a break from the fighting. I'll try to be back shortly, especially if I hear more fighting." Baldur is a perfectionist! +5 HP Recovered! Lenore is revived! Lenore recovers 10 HP! Mim attacks the Shaman, managing to disable their tome in the process. Reiko follows up after Mim, swiftly dodging the counterattack. EXP: (23/100) Stats (Enemy Stats)

Mercia made sure to talk a little with everyone, but she tried to tuck in a little early as to prepare for the mission at hand. When she awakened, she was up and out as soon as possible, trying to be punctual and showing up as soon as she could. Seeing the group of soldiers, Mercia clutched her tome, hoping they wouldn't have to fight... but unfortunately as Rosanne said, there was a language barrier. Mercia gave a little sigh. "Let's make short work of them, hopefully they'll learn that they made a grave mistake in trying to stop us." Mercia moves to H10 and blasts the Fighter. Rosanne moves to L9 and attacks the Myrmidon.

Cecily hurls her axe into the Soldier's face. Enemy Phase Shaman A moves to H17. Shaman B moves to E21. The Shamans begin to move apart from each other, seeking prey. One of the two hears Reiko's yells and decides to indulge her anger with a smirk, making her pay for her taunt. The other Shaman finds a crack in Virtuous' armor, aiming for the weakened Lenore. Ally Phase Simeon moves to M15. TURN 8  Player Phase Hinabe recovers 3 HP! EXP: (17/100) Stats (Enemy Stats)

Ferdiad charges in and attacks the Fencer. His lance successfully pierces through. Baldur is a perfectionist! +5 HP Recovered! Lenore is revived! Lenore recovers 9 HP! EXP: (114/100) *LEVEL UP!* Stats (Enemy Stats)

Mercia looked a little embarrassed as she was overheard, but took into account Blodeuyn's name, as well as everyone else's names. She waited a little while to introduce herself, thinking of how to introduce herself, before speaking. "My name is Mercia Erwood. I hailed from the Winelands and pursued a path to aiding Lady Rosanne in any way I could. For the knight who can not see, and anyone else who potentially may not have noticed... I am half dragon. Thus, I am proficient in light magic. I am also quite decent at healing minor cuts and bruises, and I am hoping to learn how to recover injuries from battling so that I may be of even more use to you all and Lady Rosanne."

"...Let's hope, then. I suppose." --- "Sounds like it. We'll just go ahead, then. Maybe we can potentially work to overthrow the place if they aren't interested in just leaving." Shin opens fire on the Fighter. Kane begins his onslaught with the nearby Soldier, and finishes him off rather quickly. Kane moves again! After defeating the Soldier, Kane attacks the Fencer next. EXP: (109/100) *LEVEL UP!* Stats (Enemy Stats)

Hinabe fries the Fighter, ending him. Though Hinabe spoke his words, the guards did not seem to notice him. They seemed to be a bit too preoccupied with the fight. Crimson takes note of this. "Close-minded idiots... You. Don't try to fucking bait them, we'll just sneak past the current fight and get the hell out of here while the going's good. The sooner I get the fuck out of here the better." Simeon shook his head, clearing his throat from afar. "Arr... er-hem. I'm afraid we won't be able to escape so easily... we certainly'll be posted on wanted signs all over the country. We best find that warden and end his life, for after all, dead men tell no tales... perhaps it's in our best interest to strike up a deal with these intruders from Virtuous." Crimson groans loudly and rolls his eyes, preparing his Fire tome once more. "Fine. Fucking hell, you had to threaten my face being plastered everywhere of all things. Asshole..." EXP: (100/100) *LEVEL UP!* Stats (Enemy Stats)
