  1. Automated Movement Ferdiad to J15, equip Javelin Lenore to I17 Enemy Phase Spy A to E2 Spy B to O2 Archer C to N15 Archer D to N17 Archer A to E15 Mage D to K7 The groups on the side continue to slowly approach... "Let us inside! It's important!" "Let us inside! Important, it is!" The two Spies move up to the Knights as they speak in unison, who just give them an annoyed look before moving aside to let them past the doors and inside. They close the doors behind them. "General Richter! We're here to check on the patients!" "General Richter! Check on the patients, we're here to do!" Siegmund, however, didn't respond. He faced away from the door, his eyes closed and locked in complete concentration over the battlefield. "Don't interrupt the General, you idiots! He's concentrating!" "Just go check on the patients! And stop that annoying duo act!" Both of the Fighters go back to intensely watching the door. Both of the Spies lower their voices to a whisper. "You think they'll see us make off with the goods?" "That, I doubt. Stupid, they are." "You go get that side! I'll get this side!" "Then the side entrance, we will leave out of!" The battle raged on, with Siegmund's eye opening above the group once more as he continued to concentrate over the battlefield... "If Godiva is unable to bear my Mark any longer, one of you shall. I doubt the bowman will last much longer... but you." Siegmund's eye drifted coldly down the second horseman— Ferdiad. "I see it in your eyes— You wish to become a killer just like me. But you don't have the stomach for it... Allow me to end your life before your hunger becomes unbearable." Ferdiad has become Marked for Death! The non-traitorous Spy is already in position to take aim at Shin, and so he does. Unfortunately, it's not enough as Shin's full desperation allows him to nimbly dodge the attack due to the Spy having an arrow embedded in their arm before they even realize it. The two Archers make their way down to assist their Spy ally in taking out the horseman and make life difficult— the first Archer aims a shot at Shin, missing completely as he also already was just shot in a place that makes his aim go wildly off... The other Archer, meanwhile, chickens out and decides to make a potshot at Justine. They are equally ineffective at shooting Justine, and the other Archer just plain looks annoyed at them. The Archer on the other side, now completely alone, backs into the wall to try and aim at Kane away from being counterattacked. Unfortunately, Kane is unable to get out of the way in time, cursing himself for making such an error. The Mage has a few open opportunities, but nothing seems totally good to them. Instead... They opt to rush back to a pillar, satisfied with their kill. "Come 'n get me!" They taunt. TURN 8 Player Phase EXP: (17/100) Stats
  2. Automated Movement Kane to H15, Lust Archer A and trade 4 MT for 20 Crit Lysander to H16 and Wind Soldier C Justine to K17, perform for Arthur and Lizaveta Lizaveta to J17 and Worm Ivan Arthur to I15 and Fire Soldier C, Press the Assault on Mim Mim to L15, trade the 2/3 use vul for Shin's Iron Longbow, Iron Longbow Archer D with Lucy support Ferdiad to J13 and Slim Lance Mage D Adelaida remained quiet through Mim's promises, only letting out a hefty sigh. She just shot Baldur a slightly annoyed look, before nodding to Mim. "Well, if it means I'll get a chance to be a mercenary over a knight, sure. Either way, anything beats the hell out of dying." Kane moved across the walls with a swift speed, only having time enough to briefly glance at the scene that was going on with Adelaida— A small sigh escaped his lips, but it didn't distract him from his mission further. He flipped the joined knives of Lust between his fingertips, remembering his experience with the previous Archer, and aimed for the heart as before. Unfortunately, the brief distraction was just enough for Kane to miss his mark— prompting a tsk of disappointment at himself. At the very least, he's quick enough on the draw to dodge the retaliation. Lysander gets into the fray to start launching some gusts of wind— the Soldier he targets holds steady against his assault. Arthur and Lizaveta move again! Arthur likes watching Justine dance— but Lucy doesn't. After her own impression, the sheer energy radiating off of Justine's superior dance (and assets) causes Lucy to become stricken with anxiety. "I... I could be doing so much better... I should be doing so much better..." Lucy is consumed by her broken pride! Lucy is paralyzed for a turn! Lizaveta goes in, motivated by Justine's dance, facing down the towering giant of armor. "Har har har! You'd be quite the symbol of Rian pride with all of that red on you! But alas, ve are enemies! Come here and fight!" Lizaveta sends a blast of dark magic, but Ivan is ready for her. Hefting his shield over him, the magic fizzles out against his armor, prompting another boisterous laugh from him. "Gahahaha! Your puny spells are no match for my armor! Finest in all of Ria, girly!" Despite all of his talk, his lance goes far over Lizaveta's head— he only seems to laugh even further at this. Arthur continues his approach in the battle, raining fire on the Soldier that had already been battered by Lysander. "Come on, Snowbird—" Arthur also took notice of the Adelaida incident, and turned his head to her. "We still have a job needing doing." Mim moves again! Fey approached Ivan head on, prompting another hearty laugh. "Bwahahaha! You've all tried magic already, but cold steel is even worse! You will never-" Then Fey raised the hammer. "...Oh, fuck!" The resounding clang shatters through Ivan's nigh-impenetrable armor, causing him to spit up blood and fall over like a stone, looking up at the ceiling as his eyes began to drift shut. "Hargh... hrgh... vell, not my first choice of death... Vould have preferred to die in a war and not in a skirmish, but... this vill have to do... well done, lass." Adelaida simply shook her head. "Stupid old bastard should have just retired... Ugh. I hate this armor he put me in, but still sucks seeing him go out..." Lucy allowed Baldur's rescue magic to envelop her, but she still quaked in her boots throughout her anxiety. She wasn't even able to warn Baldur when an arrow came for him due to the Archer's overwatch stance. It doesn't matter, as Baldur is able to sidestep the shot. Mim and Shin swapped items, letting Mim be on the draw rather quickly due to Shin's invigoration and fire an arrow into the Archer and stop their arm from drawing an arrow. They are, however, able to focus on defense and dodge Mim's second shot. Marking her first act of defiance, Godiva slams a fiery mace into the remaining Mage's side. They're knocked senseless, but they just barely have enough power left in them to fire back... twice. Siegmund's cold gaze still continues to bear down her back— it's enough to cause the weight of the flames to consume her... entirely. Siegmund's voice echoed quietly, yet lost its condescending tone from before. "...This may be what you believe is right. But you will need to fight for it." Ferdiad needs a new action! EXP: (110/100) *LEVEL UP!* Stats
  3. Adelaida tried to keep a stern face when looking at Mim, even showing some doubt in her eyes... Of course, that all vanished when she gave a small yet hearty chuckle in response to Mim's whisper. "Ugh, I can't stay here in disbelief if you're gonna keep being adorable like that... Yeah, I'd honestly rather not die here. Told Ivan that I didn't care for armor and he insisted I be a part of the squad... Eh, I'll get changed if I get off of this battlefield in time. What now, then? Am I gonna be the prisoner or somethin'? Beats the hell out of dying as long as there's no torture involved, I guess." Meanwhile, Arthur simply gave a glance towards Shin as he passed with a burning look in his eyes despite the nasty wound— "Don't overdo it." Automated Movement Kane to H17 and Lust Archer B, trading 4 MT (or however much MT lets him hit for 5 damage) for 20 Crit Lysander to I18 and and Wind Lance Knight C Lucy to I17 and perform for Kane and Lysander Kane rushes in to give Shin some backup— he analyzes his target carefully, a technique he hadn't done in his usual haste yet could copy off of Death, and plunges the cursed knife made of wind directly into the Archer's heart! Before the Knight on the other side can blink, they're barraged with a sudden gust of wind blades; more than they could even bear to react to. Each one strikes through their armor more and more, until one slices them in the vitals and ends their job as a human wall. Lucy rushes up, tiring herself out pretty quickly as she lets her magic do the work— at the same time, she attempts to do a little bit of a dance and a wiggle of her behind to try and mimic Justine. Kane and Lysander move again! EXP: (72/100) Stats
  4. Automated Movement Lizaveta to K18 and Wind Lance Knight D Fey to N19 and Hammer Lance Knight D Shin Iron Longbow Mage C Arthur to J16 and wind Soldier D, Press the Assault on Shin Shin Silver Longbow Archer A, canto to L16 Lizaveta fires a gust of wind through the fortifications at the Knight stationed on the pillar. The first blast of wind is merely a precursor to the second blast which completely slices through the Knight. Adelaida winces from afar— she can see the scene from behind the fortifications and it is not pretty. Fey needs a new action! Shin continues his position, firing at will at the Mage that attempted to hit him previously. His arrow is a lighter hit than the previous silver ones, but it hits deeply enough to cause the Mage to tumble over! Now in the face of Ivan, Arthur casts a wind spell right in front of the man's face causing him to let out a somewhat confused laugh. The Soldier is unable to counterattack against Arthur as he finishes the job that Mim left for him. Shin moves again! Motivated by Arthur's show of magic, Shin fires another arrow— however, his aim is just a tiny bit off. Unfortunately, this opportunity gets spotted by the Archer as Shin retreats, an arrow burying into Shin's back. Blood trickles down, pain shoots up Shin's body, as he feels truly desperate. EXP: (62/100) Stats
  5. Adelaida just stared blankly at Baldur. "...I say this as someone who's currently bleeding out— I'd feel moderately threatened if your weapon wasn't just a stick with a kitchen knife taped to it. And I ain't going to the Gods plural, you'd be rightfully sending me to the Horse. I don't believe in all that other bullshit the other kingdoms peddle." She rolled her eyes, muttering to herself before turning to Mim. "I need a drink... Eh, but I'm dying soon anyways. He's got a point— why'd you bother treating my wounds? Either way, doubt I can do anything to you with this piece of shit armor on when all I have to do is blink and you're already behind me."
  6. A gentle stream of healing liquid pours through the Knight's armor, subtly closing up the wounds that were caused by Fey's hammer... In the meantime, the Soldier holds fast against Mim's rain of arrows, but their defensive stance ends up just getting them hurt. "Ngh... I ain't dying without at least being able to breathe..." The Knight whispers, using the last ounce of her strength to push her helmet off, it hitting the ground with a thud and allowing her long red hair to breathe... Actually, that wasn't the last of her strength, she notices. In fact, she seemed fine despite being pretty much on the brink of death. Her face went from a peaceful rest to just plain confusion as she continued to whisper to herself. "...Wait, what the fuck? Why am I okay? This army doesn't have anybody on medic duty and I thought we lost the noble girl..." EXP: (49/100) Stats
  7. Automated Movement Justine to J19 and attack Shaman C Arthur to J17 Lizaveta to J20 Lenore to J22 Lysander to J21 and Wind Soldier A Ferdiad to I20 and equip the Heavy Lance Baldur to I21 and Shove Ferdiad to I19 Shin to I16 and Silver Longbow Spy B, Canto to H16 Lucy to I22 perform for Baldur Baldur to I16 Kane to I21 Fey brandishes a hammer as she approaches the front. The Knight notices it almost immediately. "Oh, of course." Despite noticing it, she's unable to dodge as the hammer swings straight through her armor and shatters it in a single strike and hits her in the gut... "Stupid... heavy armor... should have just... been a mercenary or something..." The Knight weakly spoke as she began to drift out of consciousness. Rushing straight down the hallway, Arthur very politely stepping out of the way for her, Justine's steps allowed her to get a quick stab in on the Shaman and cause them to keel over. Lenore's small wounds close up... Lenore recovers 20 HP! Lenore is at full HP! Lysander strikes the nearby Soldier with a gust of wind, causing them to stagger... Baldur's magic shifts Ferdiad slightly at the same time as Shin runs in, shooting through the fortifications in the walls. Baldur moves again! "...So you've decided to turn... I suppose 'traitor' isn't the correct word for this situation. However, in any case, you are my enemy. You will be granted no mercy." Siegmund's Mark has shifted to Godiva! "Hardy har har! It'll take more than that to take down the rest of the Rian army! Archers— prepare to fire! Side guard— prepare for a pincer attack! Knights— guard the archers! The rest of you, group up and follow me!" The Archers on the right side were unable to properly act, so they simply watched and took aim through the fortifications in the walls... Archer C and D take an overwatch stance! Meanwhile, the Archers on the left side were able to catch Shin in their sights after the Spy got done exchanging shots. A rain of arrows flew down on Shin— thanks to Baldur's influence, however, Shin is able to avoid all of the arrows. He is able to retaliate at the Archers, but the fatigue throws off his aim at the Spy. Ivan continues forward, preparing his flaming javelin. "Hmhmhm! You are very brave to consider yourself a frontliner with nothing but stuffy robes! A real man needs armor! You'll just get burned wearing something like that, and I'll show you just vat I mean!" "Oh, just let me get this over with..." Arthur is left with basically no damage, while Ivan has taken a decent chunk of damage out of his armor. "Oooof! That tickles!" Arthur just rolls his eyes in response. Meanwhile, Shin doesn't let up his escapist tactics as an arrow plunges into one of the Mages for daring to try and throw a cheap shot his way. From above, some more nefarious deeds are planned... One of the Spies quickly darts their head around the corner, to which the other Spy also does so and nods. The two begin to slowly approach the door, ready for an interesting little opportunity... The sounds of hoofbeats can be heard as the side groups begin to quickly advance... TURN 7 Player Phase Ferdiad recovers 7 HP! Ferdiad is at full HP! EXP: (47/100) Stats
  8. As predicted, the Shaman falls flat on the floor. For a brief moment, there's complete silence in response to Mim. Arthur, notably, has gone completely tense and avoidant as if people could suddenly have x-ray vision through his mask. There's a bit of confused muttering— the knight still standing tall and silent in response. Suddenly, in the far back, Ivan laughed. "Fwohohoho! Vat a interesting trick! One I've never heard before in my lifetime! Yes, the prince is indeed missing and could potentially be among you! However... Those masks... you vould be Virtuous, I assume? Even if the little prince were a part of you, Virtuous, public enemy number two next to Perus, that vould still make him a traitor to Ria! Oh, old Ruslan's quite a dodder alright, and I could see him overreacting towards a disobedient son to supposedly build his character! But ve are still Rians! And ve fight for our country— and for the king! Come, come! I wouldn't have it any other way!" The army begins to start to get back to being aggressive, the female knight just letting out a long sigh. Arthur continues to be silent, though he looks annoyed while muttering something about blind pride. EXP: (17/100) Stats

Enemy Phase Soldier A to I20 Soldier B to K20 Shaman C to I19 Shaman D to K19 Axe Knight C to J19 The eye opened once more, directly in front of the group as it stared Arthur down. "You were a fool to come here. You'll perish for thinking you can stand against me within my fortress." The eye glowed a horrifying red, enveloping Arthur with a red light. A halo of darkness briefly surrounded him, binding his arms to his sides. "Wh- What the fuck is this...!? Damn it, Siegmund, you son of a bitch...! You'll pay for this...!" Arthur has been Marked for Death! All enemy units gain +3 DMG and +15 Hit/Crit on him! "Gwahahaha! So the general has made his orders! Go, men! Ve fight to ze death! Even if zese warriors aren't Perusian enough for my tastes..." Mage C and D activate Arcane Barrier! +2 DR! Both Soldiers flank Arthur, brandishing their lances as they both attempt to jab into his sides. The first Soldier misses a hit and gets hit with a blast of light, but manages to put themselves up enough to jam their lance past Arthur's shielding and into his side. The other Soldier tries to take advantage of Arthur's weakness, but his rage against Siegmund fuels him with a contempt— "Get the hell out of my face!" Arthur takes a deep breath as the soldier is reduced to a smoldering crater, obliterated by the wrath of Arthur's light of judgment. The glimmering light that shielded him even overwhelmed Siegmund's red Mark. Though reluctant after that angry showing, the Shamans move forward to try and make a dent in Arthur's shields. One fires a spell that gets completely absorbed by Arthur's shielding, and gets a similarly-powered blast of light for their troubles. He manages to completely and effortlessly dodge the next blast of darkness, his own blast of light hitting the other Shaman in the gut. "Bwahahaha! What a great performance from that red man! Adelaida, go show him what for! The rest of you, prepare to move in when they approach!" The Knight gives a shrug as she moved forward. "I lived an alright life." She brandished her axe and swung at Arthur— who manages to dodge. However, Arthur begins to get a bit of fatigue as he throws a somewhat feeble light spell at her. 10. "Look here— Don't yell at Snowbird, yell at the bastard who's..." Arthur was having some trouble keeping it together— it was obvious that he was seething with rage and trying not to explode onto Baldur and make the situation worse. He groaned as he forced himself to look away, then to Godiva. He takes a deep breath— Kane is still watching her carefully, but is now lowering his guard a bit. "Okay. How about I just watch her and you focus on keeping the group from exploding like a volatile bomb?" Kane paused for a moment, nodding. "Alright. She's fortunate we need a healer with Rose—" Arthur winced— bad time to be bringing that name up, but at least it dissipated his rage somewhat. "—being gone, but on the first indication of betrayal, we'll attack. It's settled. Alright, Orchid, I don't think you need to hear what has already been repeated at you right now and by me several times, so please try to concentrate. Snowbird, that goes for you too; psychological warfare isn't a bad idea, but be careful of when you use it."
  11. The eye simply continued to watch with a steely gaze, listening to the taunts that Justine and Mim had provided for him with silence. Occasionally, the eye would drift its attention to Baldur, but not for very long. It definitely watched, however, when Mim gave Arthur a kiss. The eye remained with an unflinching expression— Arthur had quickly forgotten about his own agony to completely stiffen up and go into that typical flustered Arthur demeanor. "Dh— I— Hey—" The eye does briefly twitch and recoil as Mim fires an arrow into it, a brief look of annoyance in the eye especially in response to Mim's final insult. Arthur briefly stammers over at Godiva in response, until— "I suppose you haven't learned your lesson from last time, Prince. Your flights of fancy will bring you nothing but misery— as you will find out soon enough. Godiva— Return to the throne room, for your own safety." The General's last words carried the tone of a suggestion rather than the tone of an order, oddly enough. The eye closes, dissipating into a small mist. Arthur simply stood there, quivering lightly as he stood on the edge of being flustered and being withdrawn.
  12. No one can really tell what General Siegmund is thinking— after all, all that you can see of him is an eye looking over you all. The eye simply watches over Mim, squinting slightly at her proposition. "Hmph... You could at least pretend that you didn't just crawl out of a Rian barfight—" His cold response is cut off once Baldur speaks. The eye turns to him, drifting onto him and continuing to squint... "Purple hair..." If not for the echoing, there's no way you would have heard his whisper. However... ...Whatever he might be thinking afterwards, he keeps to himself. The eye looks to Godiva. "That I am, and indeed I did. To answer the one you call 'Orchid'..." The eye drifted to Baldur. "It will not matter for long— but I'm willing to let you know that I couldn't give any less of a shit about gold, fame, or position. I simply followed orders from King Ruslan himself. The order, of course, was specifically to contain him as long as he was contained outside of Ria. The location..." His eye drifted back to Godiva. "...Did not matter." This news hit Arthur like a face full of bricks. A face full of bricks that he knew was coming, but was still jarring nonetheless. His red eyes were now obscured, not by mask, but by his own eyelids and his refusal to look anyone, or the General, in the eye. "Monster... You fucking monster..."
  13. "Orchid, for fuck's sake, this is my—" Arthur was cut off by Godiva's interruption. He briefly looked as if he was confused, but simply looked away. His face quickly turned to concern underneath his mask. "Hold it, don't think you're getting away that—" Just before Kane could finish his threat, an echo of high-pitched sound reverberated above the group for a moment. From there, an eye had surfaced above the group... a voice speaking from it. "What—!?" "Color me surprised," the voice of General Siegmund spoke throughout the group from the eye. "To attack a fully-armed base with your rag-tag group... Hmph. You're unlucky. Had Godiva not spoken up, I might have let you go. Prince Arthur... You couldn't just stay in that jail cell, could you? My mistake for thinking an incompetent Perusian like Ganymede could keep someone as hot-tempered as you locked up. Arthur froze, looking up at the eye with a brief moment of shock... Before his face contorted into fury. "You... You're the reason that rat bastard knew it was me, aren't you!?" "Yes, I am. And what a living you've made out of it, too... Joining a group like this." Siegmund spoke condescendingly, his eye continuing to peer over you all...
  14. Arthur froze completely solid at her calling his name out. Thankfully, it didn't appear that Ivan immediately heard her. "Not so loud, not so loud, damn it—!" In an instant, Kane was there— knife drawn and trained on Godiva. "Friend of yours, Crimson?" "Cousin— Fucking hell, why did you have to be here of all places!? And you, can you put the knife down, I'd rather we not gut the one family member that treated me like a human being!?" Kane did not listen to Arthur's demand, steely gaze fixated on the woman in steel cloth. "Family or not, she knows your identity. And out here, that's a huge target..."
  15. "Vat!? Not Perusians!? Then they are hardly vorth my time! Tell them to get in here and come to their doom!" Ivan's voice was somewhat masked by a sudden outburst from Arthur. "Shin, get behind me!— Wait, what the fuck- Godiva!?— Shit!" Realizing his mistake, Arthur hurriedly turned around and almost instinctively shoved his mask onto his face, as if trying to make it become one with his face. "What!? They knew— how could they have known...!? Damn it, team, prepare for an assault on both sides...!"

They weren't stupid— they'd leave themselves open to counterfire, and for what? Maybe a small arrow in the knight's armor that will get patched up? Absolutely not. They retreat into the back, to tell the troop to get ready to approach... Ally Phase "Arghargharghargh!" Ivan lets out an odd laugh as Godiva trots by. "I've been hearing the action myself! I hope ve get more Perusians to slaughter! I like your guts, girl! Adelaida! Give 'er the key!" The Knight standing close to Godiva reaches into her torso armor and hands her a rusty key without another word. Godiva obtained Door Key! "Chaw haw haw! Bet you couldn't tell Adelaida 'ad the key! 19. Mim is able to show off her training in close-quarters combat— jabbing her oddly misshapen lance into the Nomad twice over without fear of retaliation. The Nomad is unable to dodge, both hits are clean despite their past dodginess! EXP: (80/100) Stats
  20. Lucy took a deep breath, hurrying over to Mim and doing a little dance— mostly consisting of twirls and a lot of magical sparkles, before she ended it with gently blowing said sparkles over to Mim to refresh her! Mim moves again! Lenore rushes in for the attack— however, the Nomad is too slippery for her. They're able to gauge exactly when Lenore throws her knife, pulling their horse backwards for the dodge, and hitting a precise enough shot to somehow get past Lenore's own slippery reflexes. EXP: (78/100) Stats
  21. Mim manages to sneak in a shot through the opened cracks in the Knight's armor— that last little bit of damage from Mim is all she needs for the Knight to finally go down. EXP: (75/100) Stats
  22. Unfortunately, Kane's theatrics had a drawback aside from getting Kane badly injured— they distracted Ferdiad enough to throw off his aim as the Knight with weakened armor was able to duck out of the way! However, his own lance arm was thrown off due to the shifted weight, and so Ferdiad was able to evade counterattack as well. Meanwhile, Baldur shows reluctance in healing Shin but it gets the job done. Baldur is a perfectionist! +5 HP recovered! Shin recovers +25 HP! Shin is at full HP! EXP: (70/100) Stats
  23. As Siegmund nodded Godiva away, the battle raged on. It started with the nomad getting back on his feet... Shin recovers 5 HP! Shin is back up! Much like before with the last Shaman, Kane darted to the side of the enemy— the Knight managed to halt his advance, but that was all Kane needed as he quickly leapt onto the Knight's shield, perching himself briefly on the top as he let a batch of darts rain down on the Shaman. However, his lack of cover and overconfidence causes the Shaman to hit him with a clean blast of dark magic— Kane is knocked off as a result, looking badly hurt. However, at least he was getting up— the Shaman wasn't. Being given the opportunity as was Kane's plan— Fey moves in brandishing Cecily's old hammer. The Knight who Kane jumped on top of was still very dazed and confused as to what happened, which gave Fey more than ample opportunity to smash right through their defenses and utterly crush their back within a single blow. Kane flashes Fey a weakened thumbs up... However, Fey doesn't realize that the Knight has a backup spinal cord, and just as they take a knee, they whirl around and weakly jab Fey square in the stomach, the attack piercing her chest! It doesn't pierce straight through, but it still hurts. On the other side, Arthur's rage continues as he rushes towards the Nomad with fiery fury. Before the Nomad can even begin to recuperate, they have been blasted with a fireball and knocked off of their horse. "No more Nomads— you're free to move!" Shin moves again! EXP: (67/100) Stats

The Nomads rush in to give support to the Mage. "Those sons of bitches! Shin, get the fuck out of the way—!" It's horseman versus horseman as Shin is able to draw his bow now with the extra distance— Too late. The Nomad is too fast on the draw— with Shin unable to maneuver well in the woods, an arrow tears straight through his horse and his shoulder. Scoopo lets out a loud whinny of pain as the two collapse in unison. "You piece of fucking shit! Think you're so tough, then!? Pathetic— all you do is shoot and run away like a bunch of goddamn cowards, that's all Ruslan's shitty army is good for!" The Nomads, hearing Arthur's scathing critiques, end up holding their ground— perhaps stupidly, to prove a point. However, that meant that another Nomad was coming straight for him to prove him wrong... however, Arthur's rage is enough to cause a relentless attack— as he rushes in, the horse goes off balance causing the Nomad to completely whiff their shot despite the clean target, and receive a blast of light from Arthur as a result that causes them to fly off of their horse. "Typical Rian soldier, all bark and no bite whatsoever..." The right side moves in, regardless of whatever Arthur might think about them. The lumbering Knights take point, one taking a swing at Mim to take advantage of her defenselessness and the other attempting to trade lance blows against Ferdiad. The first Knight takes a swing— they make the extremely foolish mistake of blinking, and before they know it Mim is about three feet away from the swing. The other Knight, meanwhile, squares up against the other Knight. Their lances collide mid-swing, causing them both to stumble backwards with no proper damage done. Both of the Shamans look at the competition and then at each other— they look very threatened by basically everyone that they can hit. The two agree to rush in and try to make a dent in Kane's cover in the woods. The first Shaman reaches Kane, not even getting to fire off his spell before Kane nails him with two dart shots from the darkness— one in the shoulder, and one in the chest. He doubles over... "Grk... Maksim, avenge me..." "Hey uh, dude, you're like, five seconds from dying from heart failure— think I'm gonna go take my chances with the pirate chick, mkay? No hard feelings!" "Wh- What!? What the fuck- Maksim, you fucking dick, I hope she kills you!" Those were Shaman A's final words. They were not Shaman B's final words as Fey does not kill him, but she does get close and avoid his dark magic to boot. The two Nomads attempt to make up for basically everyone's lost time and fire on Fey one after the other. The first Nomad's driveby accomplishes absolutely nothing on either side of the battle, while the second Nomad's driveby... accomplishes even less as they get hit. The two Nomads look at each other once they drive by, wondering how they could both be so incompetent despite Fey being so easily in range... then the second Nomad suddenly falls over, dead with a axe buried in the back of their skull. The first Nomad gives a little shrug, accepting that the both of them were complete and utter failures. TURN 3 Player Phase Siegmund places a hand over his forehead, scrunching it up in annoyance. "Hmph... It's not hard to tell that fighting is going on outside, but I can't tell why... Godiva. I know I told you to rest, but I need you to quickly ride out there and see what's going on. I have a feeling that there might be some foul play afoot... it may be Perus." "What!? A counterattack of cowards!? Yeah right!" "Haha! Hello, world! Look over here! Perus is actually doing something-" "Be quiet, the two of you. I'd like to hear your theories if you're so confident. "I dunno, Virtuous? Seems like the kind of thing-" "And so, you've proven yourself to be foolish once more. Virtuous has little reason to interfere in this war— and I doubt they'd be stupid enough to attack the fortress when it's our battle-hardened soldiers versus their ragtag band. Godiva— you do not have to listen to this prattle anymore, move out and come back in at the first sight of trouble. Do not put yourself in unnecessary danger. Understood?" Godiva may move on Allied Phase! EXP: (54/100) Stats
