Not a huge mistake. I got mine and had it evolved in time for Fern's fight, but I levelled mine up enough to learn some moves and common candied it back down beneath the level cap (as a Nidorino) before evolving. You won't get any good moves for a while, but it's workable.

Yes, I have. What's your Discord? I'll add you.

I can help you, yes. If you trade me Pikachu and Tauros I'll send them to your new file. Might I ask for your unwanted starter Pokemon in exchange? I'm willing to do it for nothing but I'm collecting the starters for breeding.

Orange Barney is actually a blue Barney Interesting suggestions. I had actually considered replacing Zoroark as a member of the main team due to her brittle defenses. She can dish out hits but has such poor coverage and relies heavily on either Venusaur or Gardevoir (or timely switches) in order to get a single Nasty Plot up. Extrasensory is there for fighting types but only as an emergency slot; she's way too frail to handle any fighting types unless she's quite literally forced onto the field. Milotic would also take off one of the rock weaknesses -- with Lapras, Dragonite, and Arcanine, there are three. And of course Lycanroc would work well with Arcanine for a double doggo lead. I wonder if I should teach Gardevoir Dream Eater, in order to make more use of the sleep spreading... Can I ask what you mean when you say Milotic makes better use of its bulk?

A Garbage Idea for a Pokemon Fangame mechanic.
Elvenlore replied to ShadeStrider's topic in Resources and Tutorials
This makes me think of Pokemon Amie, that mini-game in the main series where you play games, pet, and feed your Pokemon... uhh... Pokemacaroons. Getting high affection in there gave perks in-battle, like being able to survive hits and shake off status ailments. In that sense the trainer was more involved in battling. -
I recently added a Dragonite to my in-game team and I need advice with the moveset. Dragonite Lv 68 w/ Multiscale, holding Draco Plate EVs 252 att, 6 def, 252 spd. Dragon Tail Dragon Dance Extreme Speed Thunder Wave Reasoning behind current moveset: Dragon Tail is a STAB force-switcher. It prevents any setting up on the opponent's side. Dragon Dance boosts power behind moves (even if the priority for both attacking moves is negative [DT] or positive [ES].) Extreme Speed finishes off low-HP Pokemon and/or breaks Sturdy. Thunder Wave is the only reliable form of status-infliction I have. The other moves are Sleep Powder (Venusaur) and Hypnosis (Gardevoir). I had the opportunity to learn Outrage but I don't like the lock-in mechanic of it. I recently did an overhaul of half my team. Up until I hatched and trained Dragonite, Arcanine was the only Pokemon besides Gardevoir that could hit Dragon-types for super effective damage. The rest of my team is: Arcanine Lv 69 w/ Intimidate, holding Charcoal Not EV trained Flare Blitz Heat Wave Outrage Close Combat Lapras Lv 69 w/ Shell Armor, holding Mystic Water 252 sp att, 120 hp, 138 sp def. Water Pulse Freeze Dry Ancient Power Dragon Pulse Zoroark Lv 68 w/ Illusion, holding Metronome Not EV trained Night Daze Nasty Plot Foul Play Extrasensory Gardevoir Lv 69 w/ Trace, holding Wide Lens Not EV trained Psychic Moonblast Calm Mind Hypnosis Venusaur Lv 69 w/ Overgrow, holding Black Sludge Not EV trained Grass Pledge Sleep Powder Leech Seed Double Edge* *Double Edge is a temporary move. I don't have anything better to teach it and have no Heart Scales remaining. Any advice (on any team members) is greatly appreciated.

Who Is Your Least Favorite Character In Pokemon Reborn?
Elvenlore replied to 111's topic in Reborn City
Cain is my favourite character, easily. I'm hoping he doesn't die and we have the option to get together with him. Yeah, Victoria is quite flat and interchangeable. She was always easy for me as well. She's useful in that she gives experience and money, but not helpful in terms of plot. Fern I don't find funny. I think (if I remember his character correctly) he's just immature, jealous, and arrogant. Now, I've only seen scenes from Game of Thrones and I played Reborn long before I even knew it existed, but Fern reminds me of Jeoffry forgivemyspellingplease "Baratheon". There's a scene in particular where Jeoffry says "I am the king!" and Tywin Lannister shuts him down. Likewise, there was that scene where we, the player, get caught in a cage early game, and he demands we kneel and grovel in order to be released. -
Who Is Your Least Favorite Character In Pokemon Reborn?
Elvenlore replied to 111's topic in Reborn City
Least favourite is possibly Victoria. I will admit I took a long break from E15 and came back in E17 but, from what I (vaguely) remember of her, she just got in the way and didn't seem to have much character. Whenever something important happened that needed an immediate response she jammed her foot in the door to keep us from going and forced a battle. She's the character equivalent of trying to read a really good book while someone's holding down the next page. -

You aren't yet at the flying gym leader. You don't find her until you rescue and beat Luna and go on to Agate Circus.

@EpicFireStorm Hey there! Would you mind specifying which Lapras you'd like, or does it not matter? There are two listed with different natures. Alternatively, I have non-shiny Lapras as well if you'd prefer one of those. I'm interested in the Gible. Could you provide a few more details?

Do You Imagine Your Pokemon with Personalities?
Elvenlore replied to CodeCass's topic in Pokémon Fan Club
Always. Sometimes I go into roleplay forums or write stories based on them. Some species I can only have specific genders or natures of, or can't evolve, because of the attachment. It's quite strong. -

Needing Help With Cain Before Byxbysion Wasteland
Elvenlore replied to CodeCass's topic in Team Showcase
There are move tutors and a move relearner in Reborn. The move relearner you need to find a house key for (she's up in Onyx Ward, left from the Casino) and she'll teach your Pokemon old moves in exchange for a heart scale. She's standing outside her (big) house with the sign on the right of it. If you can unlock her at the stage you're at (I can't remember if you can) you could get some good moves for Chesnaught. -

Needing Help With Cain Before Byxbysion Wasteland
Elvenlore replied to CodeCass's topic in Team Showcase
No problem. As an afterthought, just be wary that Corsola have Recover and the Sawk/Throh may have Sturdy and dark type moves, so they may not be easy pickings for a quick Psychic. Be sure to save every now and again too. You can grind Seismitoad on the fire, rock, and ground types there also. Do you have any stronger moves for Chesnaught? -
Needing Help With Cain Before Byxbysion Wasteland
Elvenlore replied to CodeCass's topic in Team Showcase
Any time you get a partner combatant, use them to grind with. You can grind by switch-training in the Grand Hall, then drop your levels with common candy so you don't have the higher ones going over the badge cap. You earn money that way, if I recall correctly which I often don't and you can use the money to buy healing items to support you against Cain. Alternatively, go back to the volcano and hunt for rock and fighting types. When I was training my Growlithe (now Arcanine) in Pyrous Mountain I went for the Rock Smash Magcargo, switch-trained until I knew she could take them on her own, then just let her have at them. Stick to Rock Smash Magcargo though. If you run into Arena Trap Diglett/Dugtrio with Growlithe out front you'll just get knocked out every five seconds. The Sawk/Throh there should be good for your Gothorita, too. You could also take her down to the Corsola at the shore to make use of Charge Beam if they're still there. Also check to see if you missed any trainers. -
They definitely have for me. I was only saying yesterday that Reborn is far better than the official series, and some of those games I hold quite dear to my heart. I see the original series as setting the foundation and the fangames as building the most incredible things off of it. And some weird things, but that's to be expected.

Needing Help With Cain Before Byxbysion Wasteland
Elvenlore replied to CodeCass's topic in Team Showcase
For a while there I thought you just had a level four Chesnaught Would suggest you grind your Pokemon up to even levels so you're not tackling him at a slant. You have an eight level difference between your highest and lowest team member. Those levels can be the difference between one of you taking a hit or going down.
