  1. Is this the revamped dungeon you’re taking about? In this case, you have to pick the correct door to progress. It’s similar to FireRed/Leafgreen’s Lost Cave. This will take several guesses.....well, not that many; there’s only two of those maps in Dark Dungeon to guess.
  2. Looks like this isn’t the first time I get to control a different character other than the player. Hopefully I can manage in Casual difficulty.
  3. I think the new content will have more impact than looking at previous one, so I chose “new”. And the new is now at 67%!
  4. Well, looks like I gotta try...just one. Sylveon Crest: Pokemon that are of the opposite gender gets infatuated immediately (without spending a turn and saves moveslot using attract). The chance it makes the opponent fail to attack would be just like Attract (50%). I guess the effect somewhat is of theme of some Pokédex entries. Don’t know if that’s a game-breaking effect.
  5. Not sure if this is a bug or mistake, but in 17:26, when Delicia’s Guzzlord tries to use Belch, it actually gave the +2 Attack & +2 Special Attack to the player instead of damaging them and consuming the berry.
  6. As of this post, I will be locking this thread because I no longer have any motivation to finish this “Moonblast Only Run” series. Due to major changes that occurred in Spork 8, any and all such saves that I have will have major confusion as to what I already did (control switches). Ranging something like Emily still being at Virima hotel to being unable to exit the Pokémon League even after I already went to the Hall of Fame. It’s a huge mess from there. Even though this series are gonna be discontinued, I could actually start my adventure again (which would be my 5th recording if I did) but this time I get to experience battling with and against Generation VIII Pokemon. That probably makes up for not owning a Nintendo Switch (which I still don’t have, I don’t have much time on consoles nowadays), let alone playing Sword & Shield. So the only twist to playing my fifth adventure is to only select Generation VIII Pokemon from Litwick’s selection room. Sorry for any delay or outright putting some things aside, but there are some things that I don’t feel like going back to doing, and I hope you understand.
  7. Since the recent re-upload of Spork 8 was available last Sunday, I've taken the time to test out each and every functions that Debug Mode has to offer. However, there are some features that can crash the game (and consequently close the game). 1. Switches: Don't Crash (I guess this is something to not be tampered with unless you have RPG Maker to view the events that involve those control switches.) 2. Variables: Don't Crash (I guess this is something to not be tampered with unless you have RPG Maker to view the events that involve those variables.) 3. Refresh Map: Don't Crash 4. Warp to Map: Don't Crash (though you might be positioned in a way that make you stuck in certain areas). 5. Heal Party: Don't Crash 6. Add Item: Don't Crash 7. Fill Bag: Don't Crash 8. Empty Bag: Don't Crash 9. Add Pokemon: Don't Crash 10. Fill Storage Boxes: Will Crash the Game! (No specific reason why, but it happened a few seconds after I selected this) 11. Clear Storage Boxes: Don't Crash (This will wipe out ALL of your Pokemon in the PC, so don't click this feature unless you know what you're doing!) 12. Use PC: Don't Crash 13. Set Player Character: Don't Crash 14. Rename Player: Don't Crash 15. Randomise Player ID: Don't Crash 16. Change Player Outfit: Don't Crash 17. Set Money: Don't Crash 18. Set Coins: Don't Crash 19. Set Badges: Don't Crash 20. Give Demo Party: Don't Crash (However, the moment you select this option will override your current party, so you better put some Pokemon in your PC before you do that. Unfortunately, one of your Pokemon will be overwritten regardless. Do not save your game if it happens.) 21. Toggle Running Shoes Ownership: Don't Crash 22. Toggle Pokegear Ownership: Don't Crash 23. Toggle Pokedex Ownership: Don't Crash 24. Dex List Accessibility: Don't Crash 25. Ready Phone Rematches: Don't Crash 26. Manage Mystery Gift: Don't Crash 27. Day Care Options: Don't Crash 28. Quick Hatch: Don't Crash 29. Roaming Pokemon Status: Don't Crash 30. Advance Roaming: Don't Crash 31. Set Encounters: Will Crash the Game! (Without Encounters.txt your edits won't go through. Regardless, pressing X to exit from editing that feature will crash the game, regardless if it was edited or not.) 32. Set Metadata: Will Crash the Game! (Without Metadata.txt your edits won't go through. Regardless, pressing X to exit from editing that feature will crash the game, regardless if it was edited or not.) 33. Set Terrain Tags: Don't Crash (Though editing some of the terrain tags might keep you from progressing the game. I.E. if you change the Waterfall tag, you might not be able to scale waterfalls.) 34. Edit Trainer Types: Will Crash the Game! (Without Trainertypes.txt your edits won't go through. Regardless, pressing X to exit from editing that feature will crash the game, regardless if it was edited or not.) 35. Reset Trainers: Don't Crash 36. Test Wild Battle: Don't Crash 37. Test Double Wild Battles: Don't Crash 38. Test Trainer Battles: Don't Crash 39. Test Double Trainer Battles: Don't Crash 40. Relic Stone: Don't Crash 41. Purity Chamber: Don't Crash 42. Extract Text: Don't Crash 43. Compile Text: Don't Crash 44. Compile Data: Will Crash the Game! (Mostly because the entire PBS files aren't present) 45. Map Connections: Don't Crash* (Even though trying to move around the map connections will cause the error message to pop up, it doesn't close the game) 46. Animation Editor: Don't Crash 47. Debug Console: Don't Crash 48. Toggle Battle Logging: Don't Crash Out of 48 features, 5 of them will crash and close the game. That is because certain files are missing, and it won't process your edits. For other features that don't crash your game, it may generate things that might be detrimental to your adventure. Now that you are armed with this information, you'll know what to do to not accidently close the game, undoing some of your progress. (On another note, Rillaboom has Base 85 Speed, not 86...)
  8. Those battlebacks are beautiful! I don’t think I can come close to that utilizing Paint software.
  9. Not sure, but Sheridan Village has the move relearner that could possibly let you learn egg moves as well if you enable some mods...
  10. Wait, playing Spork 8 is possible on iPhone?! What app did you use to play this?
  11. Or, alternatively if you still have the zipped Spork 8 folder, try extracting the entire folder. But before you do that you delete the previous Spork 8 folder first, otherwise the screen will ask you if you want to replace 13,000+ files from that folder.
  12. After loading all 380 maps it should say: ”One or more fonts used in this game do not exist on the system. The game will be played, but the look of the game’s text will not be optional. To install the necessary fonts, copy the files in this game’s Fonts folder to the Fonts folder in control panel.” Then you’ll be on the load save screen.
  13. When you load up Spork 8, due to enabling debug mode, you have to wait a couple seconds to process all 380+ maps and then the the loading save will pop up.
  14. Do you have a screenshot of what the error screen says?
  15. That’s fine for me. Take all the time that you need. Rejuvenation is awesome as always! Had a similar de-motivation and/or burnout on Project Spork, but I am determined to continue.
  16. So far, out of the five pedestals in Amethyst Grotto, only two have shown. One after getting the second badge and the other after getting 12 badges. The other three is still blank. Makes me wonder eventually if all five will be revealed.
  17. I have not tried using Android since I do not have one. I've heard that Joiplay does let users play games from RPG Maker. But unfortunately I won't be of much help there. Even the user, Ice Cream Sand Witch (ICSW), isn't used to that feature. Again, apologies for not being able to troubleshoot this specific case. (For a second, I thought I got an email, but apparently not. This is the public club. )
  18. When Gen VIII starters eventually releases, the first thing that comes to my mind is Grookey. I heard it’s hidden Ability is Grassy Surge? If so, having a Pokémon that always start the battle with Grassy Terrain seems just as awesome as Protean and/or Speed Boost. It kinda invalidates any and all such fields that is supposed to be set on. I think that effect isn’t permanent, though, it’ll probably wear off after 5 turns (8 turns if terrain extender is held).
  19. That’s a testament as to why Greninja was banned to Ubers on Gen VI. Very few Pokémon can out speed Greninja‘s base 122 speed. Maybe Talonflame, Weavile, or Swellow might out speed and deal chip damage? Not too sure, Greninja almost have anything covered despite 4MSS. Might be a good idea to show them what your team is...
  20. Most of the time where the player walked on trees, those are some of the hardest decision I made regarding passability. If I block the trees like this: xxx xxx xxx xxx then there might be some areas where you can’t get by. While with 000 xxx xxx xxx you can get past tight areas, but you’ll see the player “walk thru walls” on trees.
  21. The errors that you see from Spork 8 are probably the same on Forest Guardian side story (Aegislash’s Kong’s Shield being one of them), so it might take some time for me to compare the Script between Forest Guardian and Spork 8.

Since you did a wonderful job locating various errors, I was wondering if you’re able to test out the difficulty of Forest Guardian to see if the battles are too hard or not. Some unusual moves found on some Pokémon are either related to STABmon (common, Eruption Charizard, Boomburst Sylveon, and Water Spout Greninja are some examples) or blatantly illegal (very, very few).

    1. Shadowarceus950

      Shadowarceus950

ok i will try to test that out forest guardian as soon as i can, and yeah those 3 pokemon has illegal moves and i also located some moves that didnt exist in vanilla pokemon games like pix is no where to be found on serebii

Pix is actually a customized move made by ICSW, and I recall it’s side effect is similar to Tri Attack’s 10% chance of a status condition.

  22. I recall ICSW mention somewhere on the update that Cute Charm now works against any gender regardless. So I guess Attract and other move (forgot what it’s called that lowers SpA by 2 stages) are probably intentional.
  23. That’s interesting. I almost wanted to make a double battle in Spork Forest Guardian regarding those weather trio, but because I just realize I just saw a couple minutes ago, luckily I’ve already made them into single battles. But yeah, hopefully she knows how to fix that.
  24. And then we get to moves that may have been duplicated such as Sacred Sword and Surf. One of them is the correct type while the other is a Normal Type move without battle animations.
  25. Like what the others said, I really liked the redesign of Goldenwood Town; it looks far more realistic! And looks like we get to control Melia again for a while. Hope the battles aren’t too hard (level wise) since the level cap is still stuck at 85.
