  1. Sorry for the late reply something came up. It should be the building right above the Help Center.
  2. I'm not sure if Rejuv has different rules or something but i'm doing the help center quest where i need to grow berries for the witch, the plant i grew only gives 3 even though i watered it, does it yield any more if i wait?
  3. Well the castle did belong to Nymiera before it was taken over.
  4. It's the TM shop that Angie froze over. It should be on the bottom of the town. You need the Magma stone to melt the ice so you can enter. Do you remember the cutscene where you first enter the frozen Kritiline and a girl brings you, Melia and Venam into a building? It's that one.
  5. Yeah, items are nice but what we need is all given to us. They are a convenience not a life saver. Like Rejuv has a great selection of early game pokemon unlike Reborn's early game where you can only get certain ones in quests that's like a design difference i can appreciate.
  6. Interesting, i've never really felt the need to put items on my team in early game. but like Nim gives a psychic spoon that's very helpful for Alola Raichu. Besides, when the items come into play, it's usually when you need them.
  7. That's like what i said on the status thread, that Rejuv actually does a good job of early game balance so while you have a lot of good options, it doesn't totally break the game and the gyms and RIFTS are reasonably tough. Though i'm still annoyed that the dev team put the Pancakes for Alola Raichu much later in the resort. Sure it's more fitting but damn it all!!!!!!!!!! I feel yeah on not wanting to replace team members. Retiring my Swoobat was one of the saddest experiences ever, i'm the sentimental type when it comes to Pokemon. I can't really get into a pokemon fangame unless i adventure with my favs XD. Though it certainly helps my favs are quite powerful. Still it always helps to have reserve members just in case, like i prepared this Mamoswine on a second run to deal with Erick. God is his Gym such torture. XD.
  8. So i've been thinking about what i said on the status thread, do people think the early game is actually pretty good for team building? I'm genuinely curious. Unlike Reborn, Rejuvenation gives you a field to go to as soon the first gym is beaten and you have a lot of options to make your team even if they will be replaced later on. Like Pokemon should have the freedom of choice on making your team and i like that early game hell has been alleviated a bit. I remember when Kenneth threw a goddamn pseudo at us back in V10 or how hell the Gyrados and Mewtwo fights were. Still Nim is still a nice wake up call to how ridiculous some of the fields are if Venam didn't hammer that lesson home. Another shout out to Swoobat for saving me against Kenneth and Maria even if she had to retire eventually. And that Clefairy i got from the trade.
  9. This game is pretty balanced i'd say if that's what polished means. Though i'm no game dev and have no idea how to balance a game so yeah. Sure early game can be pretty hell, like throwing enemy legendaries and rigged fields at us, but the difficulty is fair IMO even if there is things like automatic rain in certain gyms designed to stop fire type users. And i can appreciate certain changes to early game like having Kenneth back us up against Madelis and her little experiment which makes the game's journey much more enjoyable. I still remember a time when we had to solo Shadow Mewtwo. XD. Good times, good times.
  10. Anna and Shade having the same values is particularly interesting. They both operate in a different wavelength than the other characters.
  11. Has Karrina considered just arresting Karen? Like prison is a thing in Pokemon and in this game especially. If Karrina just wanted to have Karen arrested, i would side with her easily, Karen is dangerous and unstable with too much power.
  12. Yeah Venam stealing the Charizard was not cool, and it's less cool that Melia, Kanon, and the MC are not doing anything substantial. Though i'm hoping the dev team has Venam give back the Charizard next update. To show that Venam is going to truly change as a person instead of just saying she will. Speaking off, while i'm more tolerant of Venam's antics than some and i actually like her, i really don't like how Venam promises to change and then doesn't. Like there was this scene before going to the past where she promises Melia to improve and 30 minutes later she unleashes a Charizard in a crowded restaurant. That could have killed people. Hopefully V13 gives her the chance to atone for her actions and start growing. Though i'm of the opinion that Amber has more development and likability than Venam so far.
  13. Man i just want like a moment where we can kill ourselves just to cash in on insurance fraud. XD.
  14. Most of the Reborn cast are likeable enough, even Fern has his hang ups that make him human without being too over the top about backstory. And i like that Pokemon Reborn doesn't cross the line into overly gritty and grim, though the game may have tip-toed over it on occasion. Edgier games would make them unlikable assholes because that's deep storytelling like certain fan writers would do. Speaking off, Lin is the type of antagonist that other less nuanced writers would want you to agree with and sympathize with, but like in this game, despite all of Lin's victories so far, she's had her usual ramblings about this pear called out and contradicted by the plot and cast, most noticeable by Arclight and Laura both not directly though.
  15. Anna being the Champion is most likely, but one wonders why the possible Champion is being abused without some sort of media attention. Surely Gossip Gardevoir would have put this on her news show. Hell if Anna has the ear of Ame wouldn't she report Connal's abuse? Like these kids are technically government employees/ celebrities, shouldn't their abuse be uncovered sooner?
  16. I thought that was a joke post but it's also legit? Huh. God, i don't like Terra, but the bigger concern if she's on Lin's side or not. She had a bad reaction to losing. XD.
  17. V-12 shipping. Damian: Bro, close your eyes Ryland: Why, bro? Damian: Just close your eyes, bro. Ryland: Ok. Damian: What do you see, bro? Ryland: Nothing. Damian: That's my world without you, bro. Ryland: Bro
  18. Now i'm sure most of you have heard the words edgy thrown out when Pokemon Reborn's story tell has been brought up, given the whole dystopian city, suicide, and death that usually isn't in Pokemon. However it's a recurring theme that while people may suffer, they don't really have to let it define them. Forgiveness and trust is a prominent theme in the Belrose sisters, we know that they believe that Charlotte burned down the house resulting in them being orphaned and sent to the torture orphanage. Yet they don't ostracize her or blame her for it, despite her own guilt. On the contrary it's shown quite clearly they trust her quite strongly, and that they do care for each other because they are the only ones they have left. While the start is far more cynical than what Pokemon usually is, it's still overall quite optimistic, the Belrose sisters love each other regardless of what they did.(Granted Sirius was the guy who burned the house, but they don't know that yet.) An more edgier game would have them be a much more broken family and would end in more needlessly dark drama, but Reborn didn't do that. Now look at the whole Kiki and her academy storyline through the game. Yes part 1 ends with Kiki dying and her favorite Pokemon getting burned in lava, but as devastating as it is for the good people involved, they are still able to grow positively from it, Victoria may not have been able to adventure with us anymore, but she grows as a person and keeps Kiki's school alive and well, even helping to clean Reborn, while Cal suffering guilt from his role as a mole gone wrong, is able to take a deep look at himself, and take the steps to improve as a person and atone for what he did. Eventually aiding us against Team Meteor. Growth Kiki would most likely be very proud of. From these two examples, we can see that despite Reborn's initially cynical portraying of it's world and cast, it's writing is nuanced enough to show positive growth and moving on from tragedy which i can very much appreciate. Too much modern stories these days pile on needless despair and cynical writing because "mature storytelling" like certain writers like Mark Millar on occasion that it becomes hard to care. So i'm glad Reborn avoided that pit-trap. No more is this more apparent in the City itself, it starts out as a gritty, rundown city full of crime, polluted water and destroyed buildings, that's more Batman than Pokemon. Yet later on it's becomes a much cleaner city with fresh water, a thriving population and overall a much better atmosphere. Sure it's not all good as you can hear from the NPCs but things are improving and that's quite a message coming from a game that starts out with a terrorist attack killing everyone but us and the Author Avatar. So overall, i feel people who call Reborn edgy or try-hard don't really understand the nuance of the game's writing. I'm sure there are much more examples i can cite, but anyone else have similar observations?
  19. Charlotte constantly telling us not to give in to demands may have influenced my decision. I wonder if the dev team is trying to say something.
  20. Fangame development especially something like Pokemon relies a lot on good will and cooperation it seems. That's pretty sweet.
  21. Why Madelis's villain decay and road to redemption bothers me. (Madelis attempts to join the group) Aelita: No. (Madelis looks nervously.) Melia: C'mon Madelis has changed, she saved me from Amanda. Ren: Sometimes an enemy is just another word for friend. I thought Team Xen was pure evil, well they kinda are, but a lot of them are decent people. Erin: Yeah, we forgave you when you kept running out while cursed. Remember you could have hurt a lot of people, if we could forgive you why not her? Aelita: Madelis killed Kenneth and tried to melt Sheridan with lava. MC: Mhm. (Everyone stares at Madelis.) Madelis: ONE TIME!!!
  22. Parental issues. Crescent: Nancy never told you the truth. MC: My mother told me enough. Crescent: No, I am your mother. MC: No, that's not true. THAT"S IMPOSSIBLE! Crescent: Search your feelings, you know it to be true. MC: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!! Crescent: Oh wow, jeez. What the hell MC, that hurts. MC: Well you are kinda sorta terrible as a person. Crescent: Well i did break Geara for what he did to you. MC: And you brainwashed Nim and told her to turn people to stone. Crescent: Well that was for the good of all. MC: How does turning people to stone equate to the good of all? Crescent: Wait for V13 to reveal it. MC: What? Crescent: Now i made you this darling sweater for our true reunion would you please put it on? MC: No. But can i borrow your Mewtwo? Crescent: Oh i see how it is, i see that a genetic monstrosity is more important than having a reminder that there is someone out there who loves and cares about you. MC and Crescent start arguing. Amber: Jeez, and i thought i had it bad. Tesla: I love you, may i have a hug from my favorite daughter? Amber: Don't touch me.
  23. Now i'm wondering where Wooloo will be in. Will they be a common pokemon early game like say Woobat or will they be available at like Yui's ranch? Also do you guys think Rookidee would be common or like late game and only an event like Skarmory?
  24. Oh really? When? This is interesting character stuff actually.
