For blatant padding, and an arbitrary obstacle in some quests that didn't really need them, they are kinda hilarious as a concept to me.

I regret not training before the Galvantula fight, because I thought "Oh well I'll have the zetta fight for exp." But then it turns out that its been removed. Or moved around, doesn't change much.

This is a certified walking moment.

The EXP all being removed from the AP shop hurts me so much. Its not like its as game-changing as the EV room cards, it just... Makes training not take as long/be as grindy. I forgot how much I loved not needing to switch between a weaker Pokemon and a stronger one in order to actually get any leveling done.

For whatever reason, the Screen Border option in the options menu does nothing when switched between on and off. Which is kinda unfortunate since I liked playing with it on. In other news, wow have things changed, uh, a fair amount. Which I should have expected considering the update size and wait time.

Probably going to be updated to 100% or released or something when they do release it. Anyway, at long last, Rune will probably be getting screentime, and we might just get some answers about.... Anything relating to her.

Or people could just be mistaken. It's not like complete strangers would be able to recognize her 100% accurately.

You have to complete the Neo East Gearen quests first. Something which doesn't really make sense until partway though the quest.

Probably just gonna start a new game. Not only is there updates to earlier parts of the game, but there's an entire new gen being added. Of course I want to see that.

So what's going on with the teasers?

I think they exist? Like, I have no strong opinions other than really liking the recurring Grunt Duo, hating Crescent, and enjoying Cera and Aelita. Don't really have any final opinions yet, since the story isn't over, and even then there could be a post game of some sort to further develop things.

Honestly, I've long since accepted the Nancy is a maid theory, but don't particularly like it. Probably because it could lead into the whole Crescent is our mom theory, and I r e a l l y hate that.

I do admit to having given myself crests before, if only because Crests are only available so absurdly late into the game that you're not really going to have a chance to use them really.

I mean, if using debug mode is just speeding up whatever process you can already do at the time, and/or its in a single player game where by now you've done a few runs and want to try something new, its completely fine. I don't have the time to spend hours breeding for IVs when I can spend like three minutes to get the same result.

I can confirm that the debug mode works with the current version, though enjoy it while you can since its probably going to end up incompatible in V13.

Now, I don't know what goes on at Gamefreak, so take what I'm about to say with a grain of salt. But it does seem like a lot of time to make teams for every Pokemon trainer, and then go on to basically make two more teams, assuming there's an easy, normal and hard scale, and then make sure that everything is balanced and that hard isn't too easy and easy isn't too difficult and so on and so forth. Again, I don't know the process involved so maybe it's actually super easy.

You do have to remember that a mainline Pokemon game has to cast a far wider net than a fan game. Being less difficult is a decent way to ensure you're not alienating new players, while a fan game has no such worries.

Really? It causes soft locks? I've never experienced this before. But regardless, enjoy it while you can considering the possibility that it goes defunct in V13. No more skipping through EV and IV training for me.

I'm going to go from bottom to top here because that's how I like addressing points. Jan is probably doing that mostly because it would be simpler to just address Gigantimaxes as custom megas instead of doing an entirely new thing for them separate from megas. Which makes sense for a fan game, but could probably be done better together with the budget of a big Pokemon title. I do personally hate the execution of megas, mostly because they gave them to already great Pokemon instead of just to Pokemon who could actually use the stat boost to catch up. Z-Moves are... Eh, I find them inoffensive too. But I actually like Gigantimax, and how its not arbitrarily exclusive to just a few Pokemon. As for Gen 9? Honestly, as long as the game itself and the new Pokemon/Variants are good I don't care if they implement some dumb gimmick in order to mix up the formula.

I'd be more worried about more megas being added/regional variants from the next remakes if anything. I say megas because any new Gigantamax variant will be implemented as a mega regardless.

Look for yourself. It can't be that hard to search V11 debug mode, and I don't have access to my computer at the moment regardless.

Soooo, uh, what was going on with that missing mother side quest? You'd think Cassandra would have higher priorities then caring about how an offshoot of a GDC business in East Gearen is doing. Or a few kids getting free haircuts.

Nope, the V11 scripts for it still work. Whether they actually work in V13 remains to be seen though.

The one problem I have with Melanie being it is that... She's pretty much permanently incapacitated. You can't really have her as this big bad ending the world when she's stuck inside of Melia's head.
