"Protagonist can talk" for Pokemon Rejuvenation. This time, here's one of the most depressing moments. In 2nd layer in Den of Souls, after someone that was controlling Ren's body left, here's where Axel realizes how much pain he went and how much pain he has been through :

Ren : Oogh, what just happened in me?

And why are you two in battle mode?!

Venam : We'd answer you if you gave us a chance.

Melia : Well... This is what happened.

They tell the reality to Ren.

Ren : So... I think it's safe to assume every time I glitched out like that...

A soul was trying to use this husk of a body to become conscious again.

That girl we talked to just now was sweet and let you have your body back.

What if an evil spirit got in there and didn't want to leave?

I WAS FRIENDS WITH ONLY BOYS! THEY WERE SO KINDHEARTED!

I WAS TRYING TO BE FRIENDLY WITH GIRLS!

BUT NO! THEY HATED ME! THEY REALLY DESPISED ME!

THEY WISHED THAT I SHOULDN'T HAVE BEEN BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORN!

THEY THINK ME AS A STALKER! A LOVESICK JERK!

EVEN MELIA, VENAM, AELITA! ALL OF THEM NEVER ACCEPTED ME AS  A FRIEND!

I WAS SCARED! SO SCARED THAT I WANNA DIE!

BUT NIM WAS THE ONLY GIRL THAT I MADE A FRIEND!

BUT THEY DID HORRIBLE THINGS TO HER!

I REALIZED THAT I WAS HATED BY EVERYONE!

BECAUSE I WAS WEAK! THEY WERE RIGHT ABOUT ME!

NOW I CAN'T TRUST ALL OF THEM!

I HATE YOU! I HATE YOU ALL, YOU MORONS!

Venam : Axel! Don't say that!

Melia : That's his hidden thoughts!

Listen to me, Axel! We never hated you, regardless of your actions!

It's just because we thought you as scaredy cat!

You thought if you were in same level as Aevis, you would have made things different.

But you never had anyone to help you.

Axel begins to cry.

Note : Then you know why Axel became Dark Axel as I made another dialogue long time ago. You now realize that out of character is serious bussiness. Emotions can be painful, can it?
