"Protagonist can talk" for Pokemon Reborn. In Yueryu Building, where Vero and Cain confront Sigmund, who's treating Heather again :

Vero : YOU! Why are you here and what are you doing to Heather?!

Dr. Sigmund : You've returned.

I confess it was fortunate that Sirius of this "Team Meteor" came to me with the proposal that he did.

Vero : That heartless monster! What was his deal with you?!

Dr. Sigmund : He had the means to capture my fugitives, and for payment he needed only to remove this girl a single object-- a Ruby Ring.

At his behest, I hold her captive here for questioning later.

Vero : That's madness. You don't realize that you're becoming our enemy?

Dr. Sigmund : Though I doubt that will be fruitful, given that she has become withdrawn to the point of silence...

Cain : And who's fault do you think that is? After what you did to her, she may not even be able to speak at all!

Dr. Sigmund : Loss of speech is not among the effects of Electro-convulsive therapy.

She hasn't lost her ability to speak. Only her will.

Vero : That's it? What's what you did to Heather? How dare you?

Dr. Sigmund : Yet, you present with such animosity. Do you really intend to fight me to reclaim her?

Or perhaps you'll accept a different solution.

Vero : You mean that it's my choice to make? Save Heather or moving forward?

Dr. Sigmund : Are you sure fighting is what you wish to do?

Vero : ...

Cain : Vero. We need to save Heather. You must fight him.

Dr. Sigmund : That's none of your business. Vero must make decisions.

Cain : Don't listen to him.

Vero : ...

Cain : We made this far and we will save-

Vero : SHUT UP!

Cain : Vero?

Vero : What's the point about saving Heather, Cain? It won't solve anything better.

Dr. Sigmund : ...

Cain : ...

Vero : So I'm not going to fight you, Sigmund. I decided for priority to face Sirius take back what he stole from our friends.

Dr. Sigmund : Just as well. Then I won't stop you from proceeding onwards.

I may have invested myself in this "Team Meteor", but I have no regard for their malevolent actions.

Yet, I do find myself bound to their service for a different reason entirely-- strictly a matter of my personal curiosity.

There's a name I hear thrown among their officers. It's a name I used to know, but it cannot possibly be...

Cain : Vero. What's wrong with you?

Vero : Don't worry about her. The rest of us can take care of Heather.

Come on. What are you waiting for?

Cain : ...

Vero : If you're really dissapointed, then you think that I believe Noel more than I do to you.

Cain : What else could possibly happen at worst?!

We better hurry. Anna must be here with Sirius.

Vero : I swear to Arceus. If he dares to hurt Anna like that, I'M GONNA SHRED HIS BODY TO PIECES!
