"Protagonist can talk" for Pokemon Rejuvenation. Here's the dialogue that happens before the battle against Angie and Cera, after Kanon left both Erin and Alain :

Erin : After everything we've been through?! You traitor!

Alain : Hold on! I got you covered!

Angie : Hahahahaha! The book does not lie, Erin.

He is cowardly as he is useless. That is the truth.

Alain : So does you and your stupid shattered ego!

Cera : Don't even dare insult lady Angie with your bad manners!

Erin : Wow. I never thought you had guts to say that.

Alain : It's because I want to piss Angie off so much! As payback for what she pushed Aevia that far!

She shouldn't have triggered the darkness inside Aevia's heart!

Angie : Very well. If you're brave to face me then...

Cera, you're in this as well.

Cera : As you wish, Lady Angie.

Angie : Be reborn.

Alain : I'll destroy your self-proclaimed "truth" with my own truth. Then taste your humiliation.

The battle between Alain and Erin against Angie and Cera starts.

"Protagonist can talk" for Pokemon Reborn. In Yueryu Building, where Vero and Cain confront Sigmund, who's treating Heather again :

Vero : YOU! Why are you here and what are you doing to Heather?!

Dr. Sigmund : You've returned.

I confess it was fortunate that Sirius of this "Team Meteor" came to me with the proposal that he did.

Vero : That heartless monster! What was his deal with you?!

Dr. Sigmund : He had the means to capture my fugitives, and for payment he needed only to remove this girl a single object-- a Ruby Ring.

At his behest, I hold her captive here for questioning later.

Vero : That's madness. You don't realize that you're becoming our enemy?

Dr. Sigmund : Though I doubt that will be fruitful, given that she has become withdrawn to the point of silence...

Cain : And who's fault do you think that is? After what you did to her, she may not even be able to speak at all!

Dr. Sigmund : Loss of speech is not among the effects of Electro-convulsive therapy.

She hasn't lost her ability to speak. Only her will.

Vero : That's it? What's what you did to Heather? How dare you?

Dr. Sigmund : Yet, you present with such animosity. Do you really intend to fight me to reclaim her?

Or perhaps you'll accept a different solution.

Vero : You mean that it's my choice to make? Save Heather or moving forward?

Dr. Sigmund : Are you sure fighting is what you wish to do?

"Protagonist can talk" for Pokemon Rejuvenation. This time, here's one of the most depressing moments. In 2nd layer in Den of Souls, after someone that was controlling Ren's body left, here's where Axel realizes how much pain he went and how much pain he has been through :

Ren : Oogh, what just happened in me?

And why are you two in battle mode?!

Wait, where's Nim?

Venam : We'd answer you if you gave us a chance.

Melia : Well... This is what happened.

They tell the reality to Ren.

Ren : So... I think it's safe to assume every time I glitched out like that...

A soul was trying to use this husk of a body to become conscious again.

Venam : A little scary if you think about it.

That girl we talked to just now was sweet and let you have your body back.

What if an evil spirit got in there and didn't want to leave?

Ren : I need a vacation. That's all I have to say about all that.

Venam : True that! I want to chill for a whole month after this.

Melia : ...

Guys, when we get back to Sashilla, there's something we need to discuss.

Ren : Hm? I assume it's important?

Melia : Yeah... I need everyone to be there for it.

Venam : ...?

Melia ; For now, we should get ready for our final battle.

I bet Cassandra and Madelis are around here somewhere.

I WAS FRIENDS WITH ONLY BOYS! THEY WERE SO KINDHEARTED!

I WAS TRYING TO BE FRIENDLY WITH GIRLS!

BUT NO! THEY HATED ME! THEY REALLY DESPISED ME!

THEY WISHED THAT I SHOULDN'T HAVE BEEN BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORN!

THEY THINK ME AS A STALKER! A LOVESICK JERK!

EVEN MELIA, VENAM, AELITA! ALL OF THEM NEVER ACCEPTED ME AS  A FRIEND!

I WAS SCARED! SO SCARED THAT I WANNA DIE!

BUT NIM WAS THE ONLY GIRL THAT I MADE A FRIEND!

BUT THEY DID HORRIBLE THINGS TO HER!

I REALIZED THAT I WAS HATED BY EVERYONE!

BECAUSE I WAS WEAK! THEY WERE RIGHT ABOUT ME!

NOW I CAN'T TRUST ALL OF THEM!

I HATE YOU! I HATE YOU ALL, YOU MORONS!

Venam : Axel! Don't say that!

Melia : That's his hidden thoughts!

Listen to me, Axel! We never hated you, regardless of your actions!

It's just because we thought you as scaredy cat!

You thought if you were in same level as Aevis, you would have made things different.

But you never had anyone to help you.

Axel begins to cry.

Axel : I don't know why I'm saying it, anymore. Leave me alone...

Before my darkness is taking over me. I just want to be "free".

Melia : ...

Axel! We'll never let you be "free".

This freedom of yours is nothing but such loneliness to you.

Axel : You'll never be able to retaliate my darkness inside my body with your light!

You must leave me be here.

Melia : AXEL!

Ren grabs her hand.

Melia : Let me go, Ren! Let me go! I want to help him!

Ren : We don't have much time to waste!

Venam : We need to deal with Cassandra and Madelis, first.

Melia : ...

Axel : Hurry up. And go. I’ve been suffered enough to live for. I wish I wanted to be a hero but… I don’t know the meaning of life. If I wanted to be brave like Aevis, things would occur differently. But it’s too late now. I wished that we could be friends.

Then Melia, Venam and Ren, holding their grief, left Axel who's crying as he's struggling to supress the darkness.

Axel : Everyone. I'm sorry. Please! Forget me!

Then the darkness begins to corrupt Axel. (As the music stops)

Note : Then you know why Axel became Dark Axel as I made another dialogue long time ago. You now realize that out of character is serious bussiness. Emotions can be painful, can it?
