  1. I wonder if the Saki account will be used as a means of delivering news about the game. After all, it was within a tweet that basically confirmed she has a Duraludon.
  2. Are they going to reuse mons? I seem to recall Adam having a Probopass. Duraludon, Klinklang and Scizor all seem like easy picks. Aegislash I'm not so certain about. This is Saki, not Titania after all. (I haven't played Reborn to such an extent, but I do understand that Titania's personality and theme is very different from Saki's). Magnezone might also work. Either with an Air Balloon or seed. (What does the seed do in Factory Field? Is it Focus Energy) She'd need to explain to us why she has a legendary.
  3. So Saki is confirmed to have a Duraludon. I think it will be her ace with the Gigantamax implemented as a custom mega. We will probably fight her on a Factory Field. On one hand, I'm thinking 'This will be easy, I'll get a Fire type and sweep her', but especially on my Normal mode save, this definitely won't be the case. Each gym leader that was weak to Fire had some kind of defense. With Angie it was the field. With Crawli and Florin it was the constant rain plus having mons that don't even take SE damage. What will Saki do? Her gym could be in one of two places: Axis High University (which we've never seen the inside of), or the Dreamyard. If the former it would mean that GDC has at least three official gym leaders (not the ones we fought). I feel strongly that some of the screenshots we've been given are of the university.
  4. Here's what seems evident to me so far: -The cave in Sashila is probably used by Adam and Ryland. -Cosmia and Comet are quite likely to be the gym leaders. I've also thought of Kelvin (for Dark) and Risa (for Fairy). Kelvin fits mainly since there is an abandoned gym in Oblitus Town. -As for more speculation about Cosmia and Comet, they're working with Xen for... something. Also, Comet is stuck looking like us. They probably have some idea of who Madame X is, and also who Adrest is (or was). -Which field effect are you talking about? Starlight? That might work, although currently it's nullified by weather effects - that might have to change. I came across this field during the randomised portion of the GDC Tournament. -If we do fight both of them at once in V14 then a version after that (either one) would end up with no gym leader. It seems an interesting idea to me - could there be a different kind of boss at the end? Right now Rejuvenation's storyline is looking more like a plate of spaghetti. Unfortunately, V13 will probably continue the trend by asking more questions than it answered.
  5. Grapploct. And that might make sense to some level. Confirmed for both in the Q&A thread. The thing that gets me is that it was mentioned that both spaces are currently vacant (in the storyline with Amanda, and the Hospital of Hope). It’s possible that the plot of V13 will concern itself in part with getting new gym leaders. Who would be a good candidate?
  6. So, more on topic for V13, what do people think are some likely team changes to be made for gym leaders and the like? Here are my thoughts. -Marianette would fit having an Indeedee. Since it is the servant Pokemon. Also, most of its attacks would be boosted by the field. -Angie might have a Galarian Darmanitan, but only in intense mode since it would be too powerful otherwise. Alternatively, maybe Kreiss has one (if we are going to Neverwinter in this chapter), and Angie has Frosmoth (for Aurora Veil I suppose). -One of the Puppet Masters might end up with Orbeetle. A lot of people have suggested Corviknight as a fit for Ren's team.
  7. Narcissa also appears on Route 1 and gives you one of the vitamins, I believe. And yes, this is why I would tell people to do, if no other sidequest, the Hidden Library ones. They make it easier to understand certain parts of the game.
  8. Reply to 11: Amanda was 'replaced' (Jan confirmed it). So the League itself is probably not at fault here. It might be something to do with Team Xen trying to control Aevium through the league. I also remember someone's theory that Rune is Madelis since they look similar.
  9. Currently working on: Drawing the entire region of Aevium in this style. This is what Gearen City looks like so far, including Chrysalis Mansion. The street layout might be slightly off, however. I'll probably finish it once V13 is released.
  10. It's happened before. Remember how that XY episode got cancelled due to the sinking of a boat in Korea? My theory is, V13 will be delayed because the plot is too similar to real-life events. What exactly was in those vaccines given in GDC that Isha hinted at?
  11. I heard a theory that Gigantamax would be implemented as custom megas.
  12. The photos we were given in December featured a room with books and a skeleton. I think I know what this is, but other people maybe haven't realised yet what it actually is. I think that this photo is the INTERIOR of Axis High University. If you recall, we have not seen the interior (closed due to final exams), we have only seen the outside of the building from the Festival of Dreams. Also paired with Jan giving his location that way, it hints at some of the events taking place inside the university in V13. (I'm fairly confident that before V12, his location was set to 'Zone Zero', so that's a major hint).
  13. I thought it was talking about Ren. After all the four main viewpoint characters are MC, Melia, Ren and Aelita. As for the prophecy of light, it just makes so much sense. If you remember what the medical records found in Nymiera's house said, Anathea's hair colour was originally black. And she had four children. This means that Anathea was somehow infused with the archetype, as mentioned in secret documents which talk about what it does to people (changes their hair to gold). The strange thing is that I seem to remember characters saying that the prophecies 'don't refer to specific people'.
  14. Eevee is available early on. I would definitely agree with being able to use Sylveon, as it can shut down strategies in the later part of the game that revolve around field use. Others I would suggest: Lycanroc (any form, you're mainly going to use it for Rock Slide) Pyroar Swoobat (Calm Mind + Simple) Pangoro Zebstrika All of these in their pre-evolved forms are available by the time you have two gym badges. As for the ones you mentioned, Budew will be available just after the second gym badge. If you don't pick Totodile as a starter you can get it after you obtain Surf (five gym badges). Ralts, on the other hand, will require THIRTEEN gym badges.
  15. Normal mode file: Vanilluxe with Ice Beam and Flygon with Dig. Especially Flygon with Dig is useful, since 4/6 of his team is actually weak to Ground. Remaining team doesn't provide super effective moves, but it can hand out the hits. (included my starter which was Greninja). Casual mode file: Vanilluxe once again (this time I was able to use Sheer Cold), Pangoro, Swoobat (which knows Energy Ball) and Typhlosion (for Slash and Burn). Note that Ryland actually has a Rhyperior with Weakness Policy in casual mode, so that must be taken out as soon as possible.
  16. Truly epic. I suppose the locations are, in order, Goldenwood, Terajuma, Darchlight and Evergreen. Also, is there an actual difference between the field effects in each area? Or is it only Darchlight that is different? On that topic, I would definitely assume there are some fields we haven't really seen yet. For instance, first time playing through the Grand Dream Tournament, the fields were randomised. I got Starlight Field for one of them. I think it would definitely suit the Dark-type gym leader.
  17. One discussion that I'm interested in is: how many sub-regions is Aevium actually divided into? There's at least one (Neverwinter) which we haven't visited yet. But are there others? I have seen a map which appears to represent the whole Aevium region, but it is very different to what we actually have. (I think it is from version 9 or 10) Also, there is one place referred to which (I think) its location is not known, and it is Alvavors Ruins (where Karen took those men to in the first help quest). I don't, however, suppose we will be visiting these places THAT soon. It only comes up because one of the screenshots we were given was a snowy area which made me think we are possibly going to Neverwinter. At the same time, there are many issues that have not been solved in GDC, and given that the chapter name is about the Puppet Master I would think we'll be visiting him again.
  18. Some of this starts to make more sense when you get to later on in the game. Let me just mention one word: 'Interceptor'. And yes, those scenes with Melia at the beginning were one of my favourite parts of the game.
