Getting the first 5 pages thumb-nailed, while also doodling out Pride to get a good hang of his personality. Since we'll be seeing a lot of him at the start.
Pride is Altra's starter, a basic Fennekin, no shinies for this boy.

And done~ Now to get the first few comic pages thumb-nailed out and attempt some sprite work~ But a full reference for Altra.
The colors, and markings are all intentional and will play into the characters own story.

Got the body proportions I wanted down~ Now onto the outfit. Might give a shot at sprite editing so he can have a sprite that looks like him in the games.
We'll see. I'm not good with sprite work. Also planning out the first intro pages for the nuzlocke comic~

Looks interesting so far, very interested to see how this 'rage' plays into the character and narrative. Curious as well as to the aversion the starters had to him... Is it all pokemon, meaning he needs to do something for each new member of the team I wonder. Hoho~ An interesting way to go about getting ones first pokemon and setting up the story. More work on Altra, debating on clothing style and ways to make him seem 'off' in appearance outside the minor physical abnormalities. Hmmmm...

Yeah I need to make a comic of this adventure, flat out.

Keeping notes on each stage of the game, so far at the forest and it's cave. No faints, but some close calls. KOed a weedle on route 1, so no go there, snagged a Rockruff in the forest though! And named them Sloth! They like to sleep, and have the rest of the team do things for them. They're super chill.
Snagged another party member as a backup inside the cave itself, a shiny geodude! And it happened to be female, so named her Lust~ Was super lucky on that one since one more hit by Melia and it was toast. Oof. But they're in the box as back up for now.
But the team is looking like
Pride the Fennekin, Greed the Pansage, Wrath the Flechling, Envy the Buizel, Gluttony the Poochyena, and Sloth the Rockruff!
Will draw them soon~ If they survive this little mission.

New map, new member of the team, Gluttony the Poochyena! Brave, a little stubborn and will charge into a fight if it means he gets a snack at the end of it. Very food driven and got caught cause eh tried to stick his head in Altra's pack for Greed's berry stash.
And has an EV ATK of 1... -facepalm-

Playing a bit more Rejuv, and Altra has added Envy, the Buizel to the party after saving him from a heartless trainer. Envy is very anxious, constantly tries to prove himself to Altra for saving him from that mad trainer. Pride is personally training him.

Thinking the Nuzlocke comic will be black and white for the most part, make it easier to produce~ Also give me some interesting practice with more dynamic lighting.

One look at that innocent birds face.. one knows that blood lust lurks within. Wrath has already ended the life of an unfortunate Noibat with a critical peck, it won't have it's airspace taken. Greed is a Pansage, his nature says Modest, but he really isn't. It's an act to make Altra buy him more berries with any money they get. Greed often bribes Wrath to take things out so less money is spent on anything that's not him. Pride is an eternally tired Fennekin, 'Jolly' is his nature, but he needs an IV drip of Caffine to deal with Wrath and Greeds' shenanigans.

Oh boy, an introductory post! Hello, I'm Novasiri, or Nova.. an artist, comic creator, and I also play a lot of video games. I tend to play pokemon fan games more often, due to not owning a console... RIP. But figured I'd make a forum account as I've been poking at Reborn and Rejuvenation after finishing my Insurgence Nuzlocke. And now starting a Rejuvenation Nuzlocke on Normal Mode. (First pokemon in a route can be caught, dupe clause, shinies do not count, no items in battle, faint = death, must name all pokemon caught, white out = game over. ) I tend to 'RP' my adventures through games, give the character I make a personality, a story that runs parallel to the game instead of the silent game protag who saves the world. And playing these two games has given me an idea for a new trainer with an... oddity. The attached image is Altra (And his current Rejuvenation team), and he can understand pokemon, like.. hear them talk. Everyone else just hears usual 'poke-speech' but he can hear words. He thinks it's normal, doesn't understand only he's capable of this. Normally I keep my tales and journey a secret and in silence, but this time I feel the urge to draw it out in comic form, so we'll see what the future brings! So hopefully you'll see me around more as I flesh the idea out more~
