  1. So I've made it to the little community in the scrapyard, but I can't find ANYTHING telling me how to get to the gym. I haven't started working on my team yet, but looking at her lineup I'm thinking fire and ground types with an electric type to take care of Empoleon.
  2. Got it! Tailwind definitely helped. I got stuck on Mawile a bit, but Meteor Mash and Bullet Punch took it down handily. Nearly lost to Florges, but Iron Head from Bisharp took care of it.
  3. Right now my team as planned, all level 80 close to 81. Weezing: Sludge, Venoshock, Gyro Ball, Sludge Bomb Mawile: Iron Head, Poison Fang, Ice Fang, Play Rough Steelix: Stone Edge, Ice Fang, Iron Tail, Dragon Breath Bisharp: Dark Pulse, Slash, Night Slash, Iron Head Metagross: Meteor Mash, Psychic, Metal Claw, Zen Headbutt Braviary: Tailwind, Air Slash, Fly, Slash Bisharp, Metagross, and Braviary still need some leveling up, so I have time to replace any of these before I'm ready to take on Adrienne.
  4. So if I use Tailwind first, I should be ok? Should the majority of my team be steel, then?
  5. First Pawniard, and it's a shiny. SCORE
  6. Ok I think what I'm going to do is swap out Eelektross, Archeops, and Roserade for Bisharp, Braviary, and Metagross. It's going to take some time to get them all, but at least Agate Circus makes it easy to train and get moneys.
  7. I don't know where to get any of the Metagross line.
  8. So I just spent a few days training up some pokemon to try and wipe her team, but it isn't working. I keep getting wiped out by the first two she sends out. My team, all level 80, on the edge of 81: Eelektross: Ion Deluge, Iron Tail, Zap Cannon, Discharge Archeops: Pluck, Acrobatics, Steel Wing, Iron Tail (I got this to try and avoid Earthquake, but it keeps getting wiped by Rock Slide) Weezing: Sludge, Venoshock, Gyro Ball, Sludge Bomb Roserade: Magical Leaf, Nature Power, Petal Blizzard, Venoshock Mawile: Iron Head, Poison Fang, Ice Fang, Play Rough Steelix: Stone Edge, Ice Fang, Iron Tail, Dragon Breath (Was originally out first with Eelektross, but kept getting wiped by Earthquake.) I'm kinda annoyed that the type match-ups were changed in recent generations so dual types like Steelix and Hawlucha aren't given same-type resistance to counter balance their weakness.
  9. And I only just looked up where Titania is in the order of gym leaders. So I can't get the ring until almost the end. Kinda annoying.
  10. I'm working on finishing the Mega Z Ring quest, and the only one on my main team who can Mega Evolve is Garchomp. I have a few others in backups that can Mega, but I'd really like to get Garchomp's stone. I keep seeing references to some "starter quest", but no explanation of what exactly that means. Is there a comprehensive, up to date, list/guide of how to get mega stones and z crystals? All I'm finding are bits and pieces talking about which are added with each update, nothing covering everything available in Episode 18.
  11. FINALLY GOT IT Just had to spam heal Magcargo and keep my Garchomp out front to soak up damage so I could keep Eelektross up to spam Ion Deluge.
  12. I wouldn't know what to ask for. I'm so fucking lost here and getting really frustrated.
  13. I know nothing about EV training, never made sense to me. Maybe I should preface every post with that because it's always the suggestion I get.
  14. Ok I think I have a plan. Backtrack to the Circus, use a Heart Scale to get Ion Deluge for Eelektross, and grab a Common Candy because I have a Level 71 Garchomp I can't control. Swap him out for Hariyama, since Zoroark will likely be the most useful non-ground or rock type against Delphox.
  15. How do I get Ion Deluge, though? Just remembered: If I can't get it for Eelektross, there are some Blitzle and Zebstrika outside Calcenon who either already have it or can learn it. Would that work?
  16. I just spent the last couple days training up a team to take on Charlotte in the Fire type gym and I can't even take out her first two! My team, all level 70: Zoroark: Night Daze, Dark Pulse, Foul Play, Extrasensory (Willing to swap this one out for something more effective) Donphan: Earthquake, Rollout, High Horsepower, Ancient Power Eelektross: Crunch, Thunder Wave, Zap Cannon, Discharge Hariyama: Knock Off, Surf, Vital Throw, Brick Break Magcargo: Rock Throw, Ancient Power, Rock Slide, Earth Power Marowak: Bonemerang, Stomping Tantrum, Strength, Bone Club I thought having a lot of ground types would help, but between Eruption and Flare Blitz, Typhlosion and Darmanitan keep taking them out in one turn. Magcargo would go too, but it's somewhat more resistant being half fire. I thought Eelektross paired with maybe Donphan with Earthquake would help, but again they just keep taking down one or the other before I can get a move in edge-wise. I haven't tried using Hariyama's Surf yet, but I'm fully anticipating the same thing where they take it out before it can do anything. Why the hell is Charlotte so tough? I have a core team that I've been using for most of the game, and this is the first game where I've found myself assembling teams specifically for a gym battle, cause the rainbow team I tend to have just isn't cutting it. The field effects can be very interesting to try and work with/around, but damn this one is just steamrolling me.
  17. Finally managed to beat him with this team. I think it came down to keeping Trick Room from coming into play and pure luck.
  18. I don't EV train, I've never been able to understand it.
  19. I don't think Escavalier is accessible where I am. The wiki is saying I can get it in Never After, which I haven't reached yet.
  20. I keep getting so close, but I can't get the last hit in. My team, all level 60: Garchomp: Shadow Claw, Dig, Dragon Rush, Dragon Claw Zoroark: Night Daze, Dark Pulse, Foul Play, Extrasensory Delphox: Flamethrower, Mystical Fire, Psychic, Psyshock Roserade: Magical Leaf, Nature Power, Petal Blizzard, Venoshock Eelektross: Crunch, Thunder Wave, Zap Cannon, Discharge Hariyama: Knock Off, Wake-Up Slap, Vital Throw, Force Palm I've mainly been using Hariyama as a sacrificial lamb when I need to revive or heal another Pokemon, and I have it at the end of the team for Zoroark's Illusion in the hopes it'll fool the AI, but Gallade keeps targeting it with Close Combat. I've been able to take down Reuniclus and Slowking before they use Trick Room, cause once they use it I'm pretty well SOL. I'm willing to trade out Hariyama for something else. I have a Spiritomb, but I'm not so sure how useful it'll be since it doesn't actually have that good a move pool. I also have a Steelix I could use for Gardevoir, but that still leaves Malamar, who's only weak to Bug and Fairy, neither of which I have.
  21. What is it? I've never seen a silver pokeball/item.
  22. Is there a map of the Railnet's puzzle room? There's an item I can't figure out how to get to. It's across a gap from the Light Ball.
  23. Ok not as bad as I thought. Might go ahead and use it, then.
