Pokemon Desolation Episode 5.1

Hey everyone. I have seen a few restarting their game along with this update. What do you all recommend? Start again or continue with the old playthrough? I played Desolation a few months ago so it is still fresh in my mind. Is the game pretty much the same or is the story, events etc before this update now changed?
