Yet another player in need of help with the Glass Factory Gauntlet
Karvanha replied to Fauna Joy's topic in Team Showcase
Just wanted to drop in and say, don't be disheartened because you're stuck at a fight! All of the things you're learning and the preparations you're making will make your life easier for the rest of the game, trust me. So yes you should look at what the base stats of your Pokemon are. EVs and Natures are only supposed to boost your useful stats by a little. For an obvious example, Delphox has 69 base Attack and 114 base Special Attack, so its Special Attack is always going to be stronger, and so it is always better to invest there. A lot of the time you can tell just by looking at the Pokemon, but otherwise I find the quickest way to check stats to be to look up the Pokemon on https://pokemondb.net. You can reduce EVs in the wrong stat by using EV-reducing berries on your Pokemon (sold on Dept. Store 2F), and train EVs by KOing Pokemon while holding a Power Item (sold on Dept. Store 4F). Also, the nature changer in 7th Street requires only 2 Heart Scales for each Pokemon now. -
What you're seeing is one single Rock Climb path. You can't reach it because the bridge you're standing on is distant from the mountain wall behind you. Just keep going through Victory Road, you'll get to it later. It's not even for a spirit iirc

Adjusting pokémon base stats, some help would be lovely.

Did you close the game and reopen it? Pressing F12 to reset doesn't reload all of the data because it is cached I think -
Don't know about Hardy, but Arclight has a music-themed Theme Team called 'Make Some Noise' that you can fight in the Nightclub

How to unlock the other restoration projects

I think the last one is available after Amaria in E19 -
Enter Agate City from the Route 1 entrance

If you only need to change the teams, it should be pretty straightforward. You'll need the PBS files for the game which are available here. Put the PBS folder (the folder inside the .zip) in your Reborn folder, where you find Game.exe. Inside the PBS folder, you'll find the file trainers.txt. It's just a text file, you can open and edit it with any text editor. You'll have to find in it the exact teams which you want to change (the main game E4 teams start at line 1194), make the desired changes and save it. (Btw, you might have to spend some time figuring out what's what in the file, but it shouldn't be too difficult.) Then you have to compile the trainers.txt PBS file into trainers.dat so the game can actually use it. First, make sure to have a backup of the original trainers.dat (from the Data folder) in case you want to go back. Now, if you don't have RPGMaker like me, you can carry out the compiling process via the Debug Menu Mod, which you will find here of course. In the 'Pause' Debug Menu, scroll to the option 'Compile Trainers' and select it. The process will take some time (make sure the PBS folder is where it should be as said above), and by the end, the original trainers.dat file will have been overwritten to include your new changes. And that should be it! The next time you open the game, it should apply the changes you made. It would probably be best to test one of the battles if you have a save near there. You can copy the edited trainers.txt and trainers.dat files to somewhere else for safekeeping. (I don't actually know much about this stuff but I'm pretty sure this should work. Someone more experienced might be able to help you better, but in the meantime, why not I share my two cents of knowledge lol)

Reborn E19 Battle Music Pack (updated for v19.5)
Karvanha replied to Karvanha's topic in The Mod Market
Yes, that was intentional. I thought Erza's theme suited the more triumphant Titania in Zekrom, and Zinnia's the guilty Titania in Reshiram -
The Grand Hall in Opal Ward has repeatable trainers (near the top right corner) that also give Exp. Candies

Reborn E19 Battle Music Pack (updated for v19.5)
Karvanha replied to Karvanha's topic in The Mod Market
This works for all stuff in E19. There are new tracks, but not as many as you might expect. I tried to work with what I already had and to not leave any of the base game tracks unused. I am open to suggestions if you find it's not quite up to the mark -
This is my attempt at updating the Reborn battle music pack for E19. Thanks to @Dreamy and Jasper Fox for creating the previous versions, and to @fish_gaming for helping me with this version! Description: For anyone not familiar, the purpose of this mod is to give unique themes to significant trainers (as well as postgame legendaries) in order to provide more music variety to the game. Download (~190 MB): https://drive.google.com/file/d/138NCY3TZz0WrBrDROu64EiVGOEizsBLW/view?usp=drivesdk Installation: When you unzip the file, you'll find in it a single folder called patch. You just need to drop this folder into your Reborn game folder and merge it with the already existing patch folder there. You don't need to overwrite any files. Compatibility with other mods: This mod should be compatible with any other mod that doesn't include a ttypes.dat file. Changing tracks for yourself: If you want to change any of the tracks for yourself, you can just go to patch/Audio/BGM/ and replace the existing files with the ones you want (just make sure they're in .ogg format). You can look up which tracks belong to which characters in the list of tracks below. List of tracks along with the YouTube sources: (Full playlist here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL94K0fRsQOw6cCkQlDxtnpGjmJhlIjObX) Changelog: For v19.0.16:

The NPC also tells you "from left to right, the notes go low G, A, B, C, D, E, F, high G". That's why I said he gives you the complete solution. The only way you could have missed it is if you never tried to do it without a guide. Yeah, I don't have anything to say in defense of the chess puzzle. I guess Ame just overestimated the amount of people that know chess these days. But it might be worth mentioning that besides the rules, the game also gives you feedback on your moves during the puzzle. The Chess Arena field effects have nothing to do with knowledge of chess though. They do make the battle quite complicated, which is a double-edged sword as half of the players might love that and half of them hate it

After you come down from the ladder, run straight to the right till you hit a wall. Take the nearest turn and you should be able to go from there
-
The NPC standing at the top left is the answer to all your problems. He gives you the complete solution to the puzzle

I guess the choose starter mod only lets you choose the default forme for each Pokemon, but specifically makes an exception for regional forms. And Aevian Misdreavus is coded as a forme like this instead of a regional form, so it wouldn't be selectable either. Btw, there's also Breloom Bot and Purple Kecleon for unobtainable formes, and Also also, there is (Rejuvenation spoiler) in the code but I don't know if it's used anywhere

Reborn[E18] and Rejuvenation[V12] Battle Music Packs
Karvanha replied to Dreamy's topic in The Mod Market
Editing battle music involves getting major spoilers for the rest of the game, and you also need to have played the whole game to know exactly which trainer is which, especially when even E18 content is going to be changed. So I don't think anyone will be able to do it anytime soon. I'd say you should experience the first playthrough with the music the devs intended anyway -
From what I know, the first episode was released publicly on April 17 2012, so it's pretty cool that the community release is going to be on/around the day of the 10th anniversary!

OOF, that's not supposed to happen. You only have to travel through the slums once, because a path opens to the East of the Slums after meeting Amaria in the Coral Ward. You generally don't have to have THAT much trouble backtracking. Playing Desolation while waiting for the E19 final release sounds like a good idea!

1) Yes, the last update to the game, Episode 19 (which has been in development for 3 and a half years) is currently in beta testing! It will add the end of the story and the postgame. You can find the dev blog here on this site! The devs have said that a lot of stuff in the game is going to be changed in E19 besides the new content, including many QoL changes to make the game a lot less tedious; so it is recommended to start a new playthrough when it is released. Still, if you want, you can play upto the end of the current version and continue with this save directly into the new content of E19. And of course you can do both, like many of us. Start a new save for E19, and complete E19 on your earlier save too (not necessarily in that order). EDIT: Saw the latest dev blog post, the community release (open beta) is expected next weekend and the actual public release some time in May. So keep that in mind while deciding. 2) The money in early game is indeed supposed to be tight, and yes there is a lot of running around, but it helps immersion by making you familiar with the city IMO. 3) All such fights are for sidequests (except one or two but spoilers). In general, if they are unlocked, they are beatable, but of course not all of them will be beatable for all teams, and you can always come back later when you are stronger. A tip I would like to give is to explore as much as you can. I feel like 25% of the areas in this game are optional, and every area you see has a purpose. It can actually make the game significantly less hard for you, since many of the powerful items, TMs and Pokemon are found in very discreet locations
-
I would recommend Mienshao (found on Routes 2 and 3) which learns Fake Out and Wide Guard, and/or Conkeldurr (given for puzzle in Agate Circus) which learns Wide Guard and Rock Slide. You can set up Trick Room spam Rock moves with Rhydon and Conkeldurr

Yeah you can get the other one after the 15th badge from the hiker that gives you the Onix, but only if you did do that quest. He will be standing outside in Lower Peridot Ward (might need daytime and non-raining weather too)

I know nothing about teambuilding myself, but I'd say: - replace Weepinbell with Tangela because there is a reason it's 6 levels behind the rest of the team - replace Noibat with Granbull since Noibat is too weak at this point and Granbull gives you Intimidate
