Chim
Hey Chim, would it be okay to have Rotom be able to circulate from his Normal Form into a certain form, but none of the other forms after that point. If I have to use only 1 specific form in battle I'd be fine with that, but I kind of prefer Rotom's normal form when not in battle. @Azery: I had a planned moveset for Jellicent so if you want it I can share it. You can but what about the battles fought outside the Academy? Or are you planning to let Henry carry around an oven wherever he goes? In that case I hope you plan to use Rotom-Fridge. In that case I hope you plan to use Rotom-Fridge. Chim, stop giving me ideas. I'll probably just have him run around in regular form while at the Academy, but whenever they go on trips and such, he'll be in that form. Besides, Burrows would be the one to carry it, not Henry if I did that. Edit: I may not have had any battle music, but this is what I was listening to when making those last few posts. Aurorix
I was looking back on Slade's planned team, (I bet yall can see where this is going ) and I've been indecisive about a couple mons on his team and I wanted to ask your opinions on which would be better for Slade as a character. Already set team: Main Six 1. Arcainine-Flare 2. Magnezone-TX-101 3. Greninja-Sasuke 4. Garchomp-Xemnas 5. Espeon-Ruby 6. Stand By: 7. Forretress-??? 8. Gigalith-??? 9. No. 1 I was going to use Staraptor as my No.6 though I feel like unsure about using him now. I thought maybe the look by itself would complement Slade, though looks aren't all that counts. I have no idea who to swap for him for if I am going to. Should I keep or change? No.2 Vs. I wanted a grass type for Slade's last pokemon and these two I felt would b interesting. I was thinking Vileplume could be given to him by his father once Slade impresses him greatly. The Vileplume wanting to join Slade because he wants to follow him on his journey much like the one with his dad's. He can use many of the powders and some powerful moves like Pedal Dance and Petal Blizzard though is rather slow. Trevenant I think would fit well since at the beginning he was captured by the shiny one back in the forest. (forgot his name and too lazy to go back and look '3') Getting one would be the difficult part seeing as going in the woods would be the easiest and they all seem to follow the head guy. Trevenant is more a bit more bulky and can learn a few good moves nothing too special I can think of.
Commander
@Exlink: Here's my recommendation to replace Staraptor: Volbeat/Illumise. Before you turn me off, you kind of want a Pokemon to reflect Slade's personality. That's quite a difficult task considering he's two different people in battle and outside. Volbeat kind of feels like an optimistic Pokemon who's a bit laid back, but in battle Prankster can turn this thing into a powerful monster. If you don't want to go that way these one might suit you better: Ufezant or Throh As for number two, I'd go with Vileplume, but I'd rather see a wild one. I recommend Xem more mostly because having Espeon means Trevenant would be more of a burden than help. As for having one from the wild, it'd show he doesn't have a hatred towards grass types (or overcame it) rather than just accepting one he knew. Chim
^ What he said. At least about the Vileplume vs Trevenant thing. I don't see why Unfezant or Throh would fit Slade more compared to others. Also to show that I'm completely randomizing; the next person to post can include a number between 1 and 7. I'm using a different order for Evan's battle(s). The one against Jacob will be randomized by me.
Veterans Azeria Posted March 5, 2015 Veterans Share Posted March 5, 2015 Since i don't know what was actually going through my head,I'll just have it so that the kid who traded ragnarok say that Luna was too much for him and he wanted to trade back Anyways, howabout numero 6! K_H since you're facing Evan; Azery randomized the Electric field for our battle. I also randomized Jacob's field: Rocks. Update is coming after I had dinner. Commander
Just for kicks, which of these grass types should I put in my reserve slot (though it's more of a rotation than a reserve). No. 1 This girl was who I had planned, but now I'm not so sure. She has a few very interesting gifts such as Flow Gift along with the generic grass type attacks. I figured she'd work best in double, but singles now I'm not too sure. Of the three choices, she is easily the most bulky due to her ability. No. 2 While I feel Lilligant takes a somewhat similar role to Cherrim, she's got a few tricks of her own. Kind of like Rosie, I feel contests would be her strongest area participating more in those compared a normal battle. Of the three choices, she stands in the middle being capable of both offensive and defensive strategies. No. 3 Remember the days I mentioned picking up a Tyranitar. I originally pushed against using this guy because it'd add another Dark Type to the team. This guy has an impressive arsenal to make us for his vast amount of weaknesses. He's the frailest of the three, but likely the most offensive.

Sutoratosu
Shiftry....pls give it explosion so it can double as a suicide bomber when everything is lost XD Explosion might be just a little... unethical here, all things considered and all, but it would be kinda funny... till it got used on you XD Anyway, I think I'm going to change Nemo's role from "The Enforcer" of Mareek's team, to the "Jedi Knight", and call him "The Apprentice" while he's still a cubone... Because the more I think about it, the more and more the fighting style he and mareek have developed in battle reflects that of lightsaber-swinging force wielder... hmmm... or maybe I should just outright change it to "Starkiller" or some title along those lines after he eventually evolves... I also considered Lilligant for Evan, but she (yes, Lilligant is female. Always.) can be used to draw out Henry's Coordinator side. But your number one though... Kudos if you're going to use it. It's original and can be used in many fun ways. Combine it with Rosie and you have Henry's troll team. Edit: Maybe I should give Nadia a Skarmory just to mess around a little xD
DarkLight
Out of the three, I like Lilligant the most. Like you already pointed out, she works pretty well in contests and has some interesting combos to use (Spreading one of the spores while Quiver Dancing comes to mind immediately). Shiftry is cool but too frail for Henry's already frail team. I have no experience with Cherrim though, so I can't pass judgment on the happy flower. Veterans Azeria Posted March 5, 2015 Veterans Share Posted March 5, 2015 Got that done and over with... Anyways.Personally i'd go with Liligant(Forget what i said about suicide bomber)I have good memories of using it in BW and it works amazing in contests especially if you have Own Tempo Petal Dance+Quiver Dance
Commander
Cherrim is the tankiest of the three like I said being able to take super effective hits pretty well. And yeah, I do have quite a lot of frail Pokemon on my teams, but that wasn't intentional. When I pick a Pokemon, it's usually based off of a couple things like covering a certain weakness as well as how many other Pokemon it can work well with in battle. (I already have Paradox...and maybe Skarmory. I don't really need that many more tanks). I think I'm going to go with Lilligant considering I don't have much for contests. Chim
Fine. I'll take Cherrim Actually I still have no idea what to do. Skarmory is based on how the story goes, Zubat won't stick around. (He won't give it back to RoG even if he ends up joining them) So far I have: - Vaporeon - Ninetales - Clefable - Medicham - Gengar - Scrafty / T-tar (?) I was also considering Klinklang but that thing doesn't even has 4 useful attacks. Bronzong is another possibility but that would mean I add to the ghost weakness. Yanmega has my preferences as a flying type.
Veterans Azeria Posted March 5, 2015 Veterans Share Posted March 5, 2015 (edited) I'm going back to my original plan of 6/7 ghost and dark types and the other 3/4 being normal mons to give more colour The ghost types being:Dusknoir,Chandelure,Jellicent Gengar Sableye/Spiritomb/Aegislash and Rotom(Most likely the latter to vary it out more) The others Being a Houndoom Aurorus/Alakazam Ferrothorn and Dragonite... Edit:Scrap Gourgeist,I've got an idea with Rotom...(I love this thing to bits and i have an Idea with it's heat or fan version) Edited March 5, 2015 by Azeria Cipherus
Commander
Azery, I'm just going to say it, but I'll be using all five forms of Rotom throughout this first to mid second year so it might be hard to differentiate yours from mine or try to let it stand out (and he has a very...interesting personality) until really late. He's actually going to be on my team ASAP due to this.
Veterans Azeria Posted March 5, 2015 Veterans Share Posted March 5, 2015 (edited) I actually want to mainly have him in 1 or 2 forms and even then he'll probably be obtained in year 2 or something..then again i might have xem and Gengar be obtained as the 5th and 6th members and keep Houndoom for the second year. Sutoratosu
well, looks like I might have a scolding of sorts coming my way, oh joy, what fun... And lols. This has all turned into one big future-murder mystery and conspiracy upon counter conspiracy. I'll be interested to see just how utterly and frustratingly counter-productive everyone's efforts to figure out anything might be to each others. Which in a way, all plays into the antagonizing forces advantage...
