Commander
Chim, there's no need to Powerplay. Since you want Kenny to be out of the Tourney, I'll have him forfeit due to a sudden illness that'll go away the next day. It'll be a bad reaction to something he had for breakfast that morning, or something like that. No, no, I think there should be a battle and it should go on like normal, but Kenny would be fixed to loose. It'll be a good experience to learn how to handle future fights better. After all, practice makes perfect.

It may sound weird but I want you to learn how to lose a battle.

Chim
Chim, I'll have Kenny throw the match. I may not have phrased it exactly like I wanted to, but this is the situation I wanted to avoid. I want you to learn something about this. I planned to do the same thing to Slade but ExLink showed (so far) progression so I refrained from doing it. You come over (unintentionally?) like you want to solve all the riddles that are going on and that you don't want to lose a battle. I'm trying to break this view of 'Kenny' as all of you will lose a battle at some point. I'm not going to lie but even characters like Jacob and Mareek will get their ass kicked at some point and it's going to be bad. Really bad. In this case I want you to learn how to lose and still turn it into something positive before we reach that point. I have the feeling I really need to do it now before we reach the point where things get serious. So I don't accept you forfeiting this battle even though I don't want to use Evan for it. Veterans Azeria Posted March 9, 2015 Veterans Share Posted March 9, 2015 In the ocassion of a tie,do both competitors get eliminated or is there an extra battle? Regardless of that,I'm planning for James to lose to Mareek anyways so progression will be made.

K_H
Chim, listen. Kenny already counts the first round as a loss (because he was trying to keep himself from getting swept up in the action, only to fail miserably), which is why he looked so disappointed just after the Battle, and why he felt and looked so frustrated in the Waiting Room. He was trying to keep himself from getting swept up in the action, but failed miserably. He's going to remember that frustration and disappointment from the earlier battle, which will cause him to be a little distracted, negatively impacting his performance. It'll have been a learning experience for him when he gets eliminated: winning isn't everything. Edited March 9, 2015 by Trainer Red

Veterans Azeria Posted March 9, 2015 Veterans Share Posted March 9, 2015 (edited) I might keep shade as a Dusclops for a long time because of a certain ability Dusclops has...Ruby Pokedex:"Dusclops's body is completely hollow - there is nothing at all inside. It is said that its body is like a black hole. This Pokémon will absorb anything into its body, but nothing will ever come back out." Interesting how long range projectile attacks can become completely useless because of this XD....though i'll probably make it similar to how Teleport is used as the user is technically bending Antimatter... TurboAura
@Azery: At the same time, Dusknoir can open the mouth on it's stomache to give a direct route to the Black Hole. And an obvious disadvantage to using it's 'black hole' is that it needs to stay still to have the black hole control. (Just so things can stay balanced) Serious question: Just found out ORAS move tutors give Lucario Magnet Rise! Y'know, 'The user levitates using electrically generated magnetism for five turns.' How long (Level wise) should I hold off here? Edited March 9, 2015 by TurboAura
Veterans Azeria Posted March 9, 2015 Veterans Share Posted March 9, 2015 Yeah,in singles thataint that big of a disadvantage but in doubles....

Aurorix
So here's what Slade's team is looking like at the moment: Main: 1. Arcanine - Flare 2. Magnezone - TX-101 3. Greninja - Sasuke 4. Garchomp - Xemnas 5. Espeon - Ruby 6. Golurk - ??? Stand by: 7. Forretress - ??? 8. Hawlucha - ??? 9. Vileplume - Carnation @Azery I feel both songs could be used for situations well. Though depending on the situation other songs might be able to trump them in the mood you're going for.

Sutoratosu
Ah... how sad and lonely must be Talonflame and 'Murica bird here, I wonder...for their Aloof cousin from Sinnoh to be receiving so much attention. Veterans Azeria Posted March 9, 2015 Veterans Share Posted March 9, 2015 Ah... how sad and lonely must be Smogon Bird and 'Murica bird here, I wonder...for their Aloof cousin from Sinnoh to be receiving so much attention. Eh, whatever, those two will get over it. Fixed that for you :] In all seriousness,Staraptor has this swag that they tried to replicate wiht those 2 but they failed in a way XD
Sutoratosu
One baths himself in the fiery wrath of Smogon, striking down victims in hellfire and gale force winds, and the other has the strength to carry cars in his claws and backs down from no challengers, fighting to the last man to defend those he cares about... All Staraptor really does is just look badass and be Aloof most of the time...and has determination that his cousin 'Murica Bird could arguably dwarf in comparison so little love... Veterans Azeria Posted March 9, 2015 Veterans Share Posted March 9, 2015 Thing is,Swellow was when the regional birds started getting Half Decent,Staraptor was the overlord of the birds till Talon came around with it's fancy Gale Wings
Support Squad Felicity Posted March 9, 2015 Support Squad Share Posted March 9, 2015 'Murica bird may be loyal, but Staraptor is far more persistent overall. He doesn't need the stigma of friendship to continually stand up to bigger foes despite illness or injury. Staraptor does not have swag, that is beneath him. Correct yourself Azery. EDIT: Braviary isn't actually one of the regional starting birds btw. For unova, that falls to Pidove. Furthermore, Braviary only has the slightest advantage i attack strength by 3 points and staraptor is much faster, though Braviary is slightly bulkier. It may life a car but it still has the same damage output.
