Veterans Azeria Posted March 29, 2015 Veterans Share Posted March 29, 2015 I'm just sitting here, waiting for a chance to give Bugby Mean Look&Perish Song.....I wouldnt give it that combo for a loong time though since Mean Look+Perish Song=Guaranteed KO...Yeah,Toxic+Curse and Curse+Destiny Bond is evil enough...for now..... Support Squad Felicity Posted March 29, 2015 Support Squad Share Posted March 29, 2015 Erce would have to be evolved into Scizor just to make it even relatively even or interesting though... XD Tbh, looking at the movepools, neither could really touch each other without strats. It would be a straight even battle. EDIT: Actually, statistically Lance has the superior physical stats by a tiny amount, any bonuses Erce gets from technician is pretty much nullified by the typing whereas Lance gets access to moves like Drill run which is neutral 80 bp with no penalty. The only move I saw that out-right hurts Lance is Acrobatics what with the neutral 130 bp if that's applied in the RP
Sutoratosu
Hmmm... I guess.... infact, I can already think up of ways to take out an armored Lance even with Iron Defense being ran... though wouldn't a battle between two steel armored bugs still be more entertaining than one steel armored bug trying to chase around a ninja bug? eh, well, guess we'll just have to wait and see... Support Squad Felicity Posted March 29, 2015 Support Squad Share Posted March 29, 2015 i imagine it's be a case of who is more imaginative with their mons, it'd be a battle leaning more towards the RP aspect than anything else.
Chim
Alright I narrowed down the options for Evan. I'm going to use the idea I had to create a mess with the fifth Pokémon by giving Ninetales to his sister. Unfortunately I had to remove Torterra And probably Yanmega as well. Anyway his team will use the rain as extra support instead of abusing it with Swift Swim or go pure offensive. I think Rain suits Evan best. Sand was another option but that would mean half his team takes damage from the weather and that's something he wants to avoid. I tried to throw in as many unique Pokémon as possible. His team will still be influenced by how the story goes and what happens with the Skarmory: Skarmory stays: - Vaporeon, Clefable, Gengar and Medicham are a given.- Skarmory duh- Rain setters: Politoed, Goodra, Seismitoad- Galvantula and Ampharos to deal with Electric typesNote: I still have the option to change Politoed for Yanmega. I could use some more flying moves to deal with grass / bug types and rock moves to deal with flying. Yanmega brings extra speed as well. And I always could use Vaporeon as a rain setter if necessary.Only Ampharos and Seismitoad will be obtained when fully evolved. All the rest will be caught / befriended in their first state. Skarmory leaves: - Vaporeon, Clefable, Gengar and Medicham- Bronzong replaces Skarmory- Crawdaunt or Bisharp to deal with Ghost weakness- Rain setters: Goodra, Seismitoad- Galvantula and AmpharosNote: I can always use Vaporeon as rain setter as well. Crawdaunt brings that extra water type and I can mess around with it while Bisharp brings extra resistances. This team has less speed and doesn't have much attacks to deal with things that benefit from the rain. (No Flying moves)
Sutoratosu
so, found a new theme for Galen: Think i'll replace Smooth Criminal with it. or maybe keep it as a gag one.
Chevaleresse
Hey Murdoc, which mon does Kage have to use in the next battle? I think Reina (Tyrunt,) since Lucas and al'Thor already made appearances.

Veterans Azeria Posted March 29, 2015 Veterans Share Posted March 29, 2015 (edited) You know....besides Luna and Gaius(Chandelure and Rhyperior)Most of James team benefits from Rain and or Sandstorm... -Wonders whether to give Gaius Sandstorm or not-# Also to answer what you said about Reflect and Light Screen Zerron,as stated by Reggie in the anime,Light Screen still works after being used for a certain amount of time. Either way it would work just fine for what i have in mind with those 2. In other news,i learnt how to link stuff on here...yay~ Edited March 29, 2015 by Scublord McFoxy
Commander
Yeah...I think I'll be dropping the Sun and Sandstorm in the long run (I will use them at some point though). I know a lot of you are going through team changes (including myself), but I just want to make sure I'm running certain moves because I learned a few lessons the hard way. While I really like Camerupt, I really, really don't need him considering Burrows has the Ground type covered above and beyond his call of duty (I don't even need that insanely strong Earth Power). Instead, I think I'm gonna pick up Magmortar and he will be Henry's sixth Pokemon due to the insanely wide movepool it gets. While he ain't as good as Camerupt can be in the sun, he's got plenty of neat tricks I can test out. I feel it's more suited for my playstyle. And yeah, at this point I'll pick up Gallade because it's like the anti-Gypsy. Gallade is very...interesting and kind of won over Machamp due to that versatility and that Psychic coverage. Both are great Candidates so that spot isn't fully set, but at this point in time it's pretty safe to assume Gallade. So here's the new Henry Line-up Rosie (Delcatty) Gypsy (Venomoth) General Burrows (Excadrill) Paradox (Togekiss) Rotom Magmortar Year 2 Lilligant Blastoise Gallade Glaceon
Sutoratosu
I've gone ahead and changed up Erce's final move set abit... obviously I will not tell what it is this time around, but one major change is that she'll be running Hidden Power Rock as one of her two special attacks, just to further spite all fire types... and she'll also be getting some extensive training in that area... though to be honest, she'll eventually get trained in every category of stat since she'll always be with Mareek and by default take part in every single training session in some way shape or form. actually... hell, i've got ALL the movesets for each member of the team worked out, and all the current movesets of Galen's team worked out as well (Which are available in his character sheet). Galen's will more or less remain static (And yes, the electivire carries a combo of HP water and Thunderbolt for a reason... *grins darkly*) the entire time from this point on (Though his team levels might have to start actually raising once the student pcs start catching up a bit, I'll probably have to make a note to talk with chimchain about that when the time comes). Mareek's though is more or less focused on a Pokemon Reborn gym leader style- mainly prioritizing covering an individual mons weakness before anything else. though the individual personas and roles of his team members more or less tie into this and go along with it, like for example, Azelstan will be carrying Surf, but will already be carrying it by the time of his and Mareek's first encounter due to certain events in his backstory... the basic gist of which is pretty much congruent with where I got the name... (He'll actually be encountered at least one time before actually being added to the team, with Brienne first meeting him by herself on the first encounter and being angered by something he says, challenging him to a fight and losing due to a sizeable level difference even despite her type advantage). Erce will be carrying both Vacuum wave and Sandstorm, which both help deal with fire and tie into her own role and style in battle; Brienne will run a combo of Iron Defense, Steel Wing, and Aerial Ace- going with the theme of her being a "Knight" of sorts, and so on and so forth... Veterans Azeria Posted March 30, 2015 Veterans Share Posted March 30, 2015 Huh....I might just have Spiritomb in the 6th slot instead of Haunter, since Hypnosis+Nightmare works better with Spiritomb in my opinion. Gengar seems more like the life eating kind rather than bringing nightmares.

First year Galen should be capable of at least going 2 vs 1 against the students without a problem. Even if those students are Mareek and Jacob who are currently considered the strongest first years. Veterans Azeria Posted March 30, 2015 Veterans Share Posted March 30, 2015 I'm having trouble figuring out what the fourth Moveslot for Kusariga(Scizor). I've currently got Light Screen and either Roost,Toxic or Rain Dance/Swords Dance. Bullet Punch(Naturally since every Scizor should run this move in particular to take advantage of Technician)Bug Buzz(I've got something planned with this move in particular actually so it won't be a total waste as it is in the games)Air Slash and something else. Probably Night Slash or Superpower to put in a more physically offensive move and give some extra Coverage but if I put in Toxic in that second slot Venoshock might become a usefull option..... Also,Chim. I'd reccomend Electrode as an electric type to you. Under rain it could work as a moving lightning bolt(It is based of off Ball lightning so that wouldnt make too much of a stretch)It's also incredibly fast so it can use Light Screen and either Rain Dance or Magnet rise(To prevent its only weakness)along with Light Screen. Chim
I don't know... It doesn't look that attractive to use to be honest. I can see more potential in having a Galvantula and an Ampharos as electric types. I'm pretty much set on the team or else I probably keep changing. xD The only thing when it comes to the team with Skarmory is: do I got for Yanmega or Politoed? Both have different roles but can be fun to use in an RP.

Veterans Azeria Posted March 30, 2015 Veterans Share Posted March 30, 2015 (edited) Mainly Land Crawler instead of a glider,The only times it'd actually use its wings would be when using Bullet Punch or the possible Air Slash/Acrobatics. Rain Dance is there to provide help for the wings since they are mainly used to regulate Scizor's body temperature(This would make Fire moves extra dangerous actually since increasing it would do even more damage)It will glide around for movement though since otherwise its pretty hard for it to attack but offensively it will usually stay on land. Sutoratosu
Hmmm.. interesting. I once considered running Rain Dance on Erce... then I found a whole playground of new tactics to take care of fire... and thus the heat training began... The more I think about it though... the more and more it seems like Erce is going to end up fighting like an aerial-to-ground Armored Core of sorts, able to attack from afar and still be deadly up close, Especially with how Intend to use V-wave, S-storm, and HP rock and the other two moves (All her attacks will ones that get technician boost)... only question though, is whether to giver her Iron Defense, Swords Dance, or Agility? Iron Defense is the original and current plan, speaks to her job and such in a metaphorical way and speaks to the collected and reserved part of her persona and everything, though so does the very fact that she gained metal armoring from evoing in the first place... With Swords Dance, she can rely a bit more heavily on the threatening and protectively vicious part of her personality, but seeing as how she's the one who's supposed to reign in the boy when he needs it, that might not make too much sense... though Im sure I could spin it in a way that would, if I decide for it. And Agility... I already have something in mind with S-storm and V-wave's winds, so...oh, and there's also a certain attack move she'll have which will further subvert it's worthiness of a slot, so... Commander
I swear it's like you just throwing material at my face to use for Henry nowadays. As much fun as it'd be, I might skip over Henry giving the Devin reporters a hard time. Henry got stuff to do including a very interesting Rotom encounter. Edit: Wow, you people are really getting into those final movesets. I mean I have a general idea of mine, but I ain't gonna have a set one until I have to as many of my pokemon can run a variety of moves quite well. Well, not like I got much else to do... procrastinating on school work has already been accomplished, I can't do any CWs until I build another damn world for it, my own rps I myself am running are in the slow line at the time... I don't have much else to do except sit around munching on a huge plate of nothing... So yeah, I spend time going through and developing mareeks team dynamic and their move sets. all out of boredom... I also take duct tape to pens when I'm bored shitless... among other things.
