Zephyrus the Priestess
Now I'm... not to sure how to make conversation less awkward. XD Raiza's not the best conversation partner out there if you aren't a good friend of hers.
Sutoratosu
Then I guess we'll just stay like this for a while o_o Because I'm legit serious about not having a single member of his team get involved or have Java say anything. Ya know, Raiza could always... pry, if you can think of nothing else... knowing him though- might either get shutdown almost immediately thanks to the wall or shit might just get intense thanks to the inferno of emotions and chaos thats burning somewhere just behind it's icy reaches
Chim
you guys know that I can always just make her leave right ... Thanks. ;_; You know I can lock the door and seal every other exit right Has anyone seen TurboAura around lately? Or did I miss his latest post? I kinda want to give him a way to get involved with the plot right now...

Sutoratosu
Tried well indeedXD it was so random it probably worked "Hey, are you a Ninja?" it came out of nowhere just then, lols, just lols XD EDIT: Wait, when did he...grab the nurse? eh, You know what, nevermind, Let's just go with it- fits well with him being so deeply engulfed he lost touch with reality for a few moments. Zephyrus the Priestess
I don't know man, I just went with What Would Zeph Do especially since Raiza's personality is kinda based off of mine. Now I'm just hoping it works well enough. XD
Sutoratosu
I straight up stole everything about the description of that training regiment from the original Karate Kid XD EDIT: I'm gonna change the Instructors name to "Miyagi" BRB XD EDIT2: here's a bit of irony- trained in martial arts karate kid style, doesn't have a single fighting type partner and uses the same type as Sabrina as half of his specialty EDIT3: Also, I'm planning to have Brienne be encountered as an Aron and run D-rush, which will more or less be her bread and butter move since something about having inherited the power to use it from her father or whatever. Here's the planned set for the encounter: Aron (F)- "Brienne" Level: 20 Nature: Brave Ability: Rock Head Moves Known: Attacks: -Dragon Rush -Metal Claw -Rock Tomb Supports: -Iron Defense It might seem a bit strong for an initial encounter, but the D-rush is more or less gonna need a bit of... work with actually staying on target after a certain distance, and her maturity is going to be the equivalent of a 26 year old/ youngish adult (Same as Java) despite being unevolved... also, I only gave her three attacks to try to balance it out a little, same with only one support move. She's going to be rather intelligent though... enough that it will impress even Java...
Commander
@Commander,I won't be able to respond till tonight,I've got some family stuff to get done right now. That's fine. I'm pretty busy today anyways (and I can always do homework and stuff while I wait). Zerron, I'm really surprised you're going for two intelligent Pokemon. I know I had Henry reference it someone, but the smarter a Pokemon is, the more dangerous it is. They are always the ones who question things and those questions lead to distrust. Sutoratosu
What are you talking about? Yes, that assumption holds true when the trainer treats em like shit or something, but mareek honestly isn't like that, so... really, it would make no sense to have "Intelligence" even be an issue. Hell, I'm gonna have all his team be intelligent infact, except for maybe Vex the Claydol who is... a bit vexing at times. Cause I already have explained how the dynamic of his team and partners fucntions on free will and their followin him because they are intelligent enough to be able to choose and have consciously made the the choice to give allegiance to him and Erce and Java. (Why do you think I called the recruitment "Fire Emblem Style"?) Of course, I could just have things go the same way they did on his brother's path and have his mons have blind loyalty- like that Electivire or Crobat, and have the intelligent one (Zoroark for Galen) constantly question everything and be contemptuous. But that obviously leads to disaster since a man is dead because of that team. Plus, I'd personally peg stupid mons as more of a danger- what's more likely to go on a barbaric rampage at the slightest provocation, an intelligent being, or an unadvanced one like a cave man? It's the same thing as the Soldier and the Amatuer analogy I made to azery earlier concerning the danger of certain mons due to abilities and biology. Oh, and I hate stupid things/ unintelligent things, it's my biggest peeve as a host when a player does some stupid shit, and It;s my biggest peeve IRL when people do stupid shit, so that's also a very big factor here. I just despise stupidity OH, and secondly- having an occasional instance of deception or distrust (EX, with nemo sneaking off on his own at times without telling anyone anything) leads to far more CD than just having a team full of mons who will bend the knee and do whatever they're told without question. There is a big difference between Loyalty, and just plain Blind Obedience.
Veterans Azeria Posted April 4, 2015 Veterans Share Posted April 4, 2015 Hmm....Might just have Hypno or Lickilicky instead of Hippowdon. Both could fufill a more supportive role and have wish for healing.....Lickillicky also has that humongous move pool while Hypno's psychic moves are kinda already used throughout James's entire team.....Lickilicky lesgo! Also,if Mareek hates the IP for doing pretty much nothing throughout the game's story events shouldnt he-by extension-hate the league aswell? I mean in Kanto the League does absolutely NOTHING about any of the events even though even 1 member of the Elite 4 could rip through the entirety of Team Rocket with ease. I mean in Kanto the League does absolutely NOTHING about any of the events even though even 1 member of the Elite 4 could rip through the entirety of Team Rocket with ease. I considered that early on, but no. It's more of a matter of principle- It is not the League's explicit job to go around making sure terrorist do not pop up and wreaking havoc, or to nessacarily stop them whenever they do, it's Interpol's. The League is meant for competitive purposes, ergo, it is equip for competetive purposes and such, not for anti-terror work. Interpol (Presumably) is. Basically, let me put it like this- while yes, the league could've easily dispatched someone or done something about it- at the end of the day, the league should not have to be the ones dealing with terrorist and criminals- As again, that is fucking INTERPOL'S JOB, and while yes, the league technically could be held at fualt in the games for their inaction as well- the truth of the matter is that they honestly can receive a bit of lee way because they for 1: were not equip for anti-terror operations, and 2: were not obligated in any way to handle Terror situations happening in the world, nor had the actual authority to conduct the anti-terror operations. In a nutshell, Azery, he blames interpol because Interpol is a part of the government, the league is not (At least not directly here, I think). You know what, I'm just gonna give you another analogy like the soldier and the amateur one. Blaming the league for doing nothing about the Teams over the years, would more or less be blaming a football team like the New England Patriots for not going out and enforcing the law/ keeping peace in the streets if the Boston PD were to suddenly go on strike (Which, by the way, is illegal under federal law for any police force to go on strike) the Patriots are professionals in a competetive sport, much like League, they are not, however, Officers of the law sworn to fullfill a duty to protect and serve the public, like Interpol. Commander
Faust, I generally look at Pokemon battling as a bit of entertainment and when you think about it, a Pokemon is going to get the living hell knocked out of them again and again. There's also the fact I usually refer to intelligent as the brightest of the bright which is why I often use smart instead. A smart Pokemon could still be willing to battle, but think about Pokemon battles like wrestling. You don't see very many people with IQs of 130-150 out there for good reasons (because there are better options for them). I'm sure there's probably a conflict of opinions because I view things one way and you view things the other. By the way, I don't mind when a character does something stupid. We all do stupid things at one point or another It just shows we're human and it can be entertaining.
Support Squad Felicity Posted April 4, 2015 Support Squad Share Posted April 4, 2015 Stupid characters are perfect targets for reflection. How do you know a situation is serious? Even the jester isn't cracking a joke. How do you know a death has impact? The cheer is taken away from the comedy relief guy. Along with comedy, those characters can serve to demonstrate just how dire/ extreme a situation may be.

We all do stupid things at one point or another It just shows we're human and it can be entertaining I beleive our definitions of what constitutes stupidity may differ somewhat. Or perhaps very much. Mine is... quite harsh and specific. Either way, I'm not gonna go into it. If y'all don't mind, I'd honestly like to just drop out of this whole conversation right here and now, cause this happens to be my one unrelenting hot button and I don't want shit to escalate needlessly (I mean it, this is like, probably one thing that no one will ever be able to persuade me otherwise of, cause I have seen and put up with it so often in society that I'm just sick of it) or cause a situation that would need Murdoc or Sensei to become involved in. So yeah... please, let's just drop it before it begins. I really don't want to almost explode or something and have to go away from the keyboard to cool off and refrain from saying something over what I honestly know is nothing at all. Also, I never said they'd be geniuses- I only said they'd all be intelligent enough to make their own decisions and not simply function on blind loyalty. Commander
I was going to call him Glitch, but I didn't want Henry and him to share the same nickname. I kind of picked that name do to all the things he can do with technology (he's also an infinite power supply/generator). It sounded weird at first, but I like it.
