Yazmat
I´m really bored and wanted to do a Nuzlocke for a long time now. So I decided I do a Nuzlocke of Reborn which will absolutely fail. Rules: 1. Catch only the first Pokemon in every area (Someone should probably clarify me what counts at seperate area in this game) 2. If a Pokemon faints it will be put in the "Death Box" 3. Every Pokemon must have a Nickname. (Naming theme will be Metal Gear Solid Characters) 4. Gift Pokemon don´t count to rule 1 (every Pokemon I get without fighting it will count as Gift Pokemon) 5. I´m not trying to win battles I´m suppose to lose. 6. No going back to previous episodes or something like that. 7. No Clauses. I already decided on my Starter which will be Chikorita which I never used in my entire life. Edit: Here´s a List of all the Locations currently avaible according to the Nuzlocke Guidelines: Opal Ward Peridot Ward Underground Railnet Central/South Obsidia Obsidia Slums Coral Ward Onyx Ward Jasper Ward Malchous Forest Beryl Ward Rhodocrine Jungle Lapis Ward North Obsidia Ward Grand Stairway Abandoned Power Plant Apophyll Beach Pyrous Mountain Azurine Island Byxbysion Wasteland Chrysolia Forest Tanzan Mountain Tanzan Cove Spinel Town Route 1 Aventurine Woods Citae Arc-d'Astra 7th Street Subseven Sanctum Iolia Valley Agate Circus Route 2 Ametrine Mountain Edited October 3, 2014 by Yazmat
Etesian
Don't use Chikorita, it sucks in Reborn. I'm not biasedly saying that either, I love Meganium, but it's bad. How will you go about Garchomp, Arceus and the likes?

Developers Jan Posted October 3, 2014 Developers Share Posted October 3, 2014 I'm confused... you're doing a nuzlocke, and you're trying to lose battles? Isn't the whole Idea to not lose?
Yazmat
I'm confused... you're doing a nuzlocke, and you're trying to lose battles? Isn't the whole Idea to not lose? There are 2 fights you can lose and still continue the story because the opponents Pokemon are to strong (Level 70 Garchomp when your Pokemon are around 40 and a Level 80 ARceus when your Pokemon are around 55-60). I´m not goign to try to win those battle. I updated th OT with Locations. Edit: Also fuck Metronome. A Pokemon of mine almost died to a Roar of Time. Yazmat
well what about fossil pokemon/ or pokemon you could win with games (some you can play as many times as you want) Only the first Fossil I find will be counted. I limit myself to only one Pokemon at the arcade. You're first Nuzlocke is on Reborn? You gotta learn to walk before you try to run bro. Gotta go fast you know. Well no one died till now but a few came close to because of Metronome Roar of Time and a Level 11 Clauncher. Fern got wrecked by Fury Cutter Spam. I also got a Lightningrod Goldeen which will be usefull against Aster and Eclipse. My Team: Big Boss (Kept you waiting, Huh?) Level 12 Overgrow Mild Rose Incense Tackle Synthesis Poison Powder Razor Leaf (Opal Ward catch) Snake (I´m no Hero. Never was, never will be) Level 10 Run Away Hardy Bite Quick Attack Focus Energy Tail Whip Volgin (Kuwabara, Kuwabara) Level 11 Pick Up Quiet Charm Growl Bide Quick Attack The Fear (I have waited long for this day) Level 13 Swarm Careful Fury Cutter Struggle Bug Growl Bide (Hero who survived a Roar of Time) Kaz (What took you so long?) Level 10 Keen Eye Bashful Covet Scratch Leer Confusion (Peridot Ward catch) Hal (It´s like on of my Japanese animes) Level 11 Lightningrod Relaxed Peck Water Sport Horn Attack Supersonic Box: Ocelot (You´re pretty good) Edited October 4, 2014 by Yazmat
Ojama Yellow
You're first Nuzlocke is on Reborn? You gotta learn to walk before you try to run bro. This is more like first learning how to do 1+1 before taking on mathematics at the university. Anyway, good luck. You'll need it.
Yazmat
Aster and Eclipse almost killed half my Team because for some reason I decided to beat Elekid first even though half my Team is weak to fire, but somehow I kept my Pokemon alive.. Hal was really usefull against them because of electric immunity and protecting Ferns pokemon with Water Sport against Magby. Julia on the other Hand got sweeped by Hal´s Water Puls because she decided to use Charge Beam against him. My Team: Big Boss Level 14 Overgrow Mild Rose Incense Tackle Synthesis Poison Powder Razor Leaf Snake Level 13 Run Away Hardy Bite Quick Attack Focus Energy Tail Whip Volgin Level 12 Pick Up Quiet Charm Charge Beam Bide Quick Attack The Fear Level 14 Swarm Careful Fury Cutter Struggle Bug Growl Bide Kaz Level 13 Keen Eye Bashful Covet Light Screen Charge Beam Confusion Hal Level 18 Lightningrod Relaxed Water Pulse Water Sport Horn Attack Supersonic Box: Ocelot (Railnet catch) Olga (I grew up on the battlefield) Solidus (I´m the boss to surpass Big Boss himself)

Yazmat
Big Boss died to a Spinda. Lost the fucking speedtie which I won 2 times in a row. Just because I was a bit greedy. Atleast you showed your usefullness against the Scraggy gang. I will make Diamonds from your Ashes and take revenge on every Spinda which I will ever see in Reborn. Atleast everyone else is okay and Solidus can now truly be the boss who surpass Big Boss himself. Cain got swept by Kaz with Charge Beam and Confusion and the Pulse Tangrowth got taken down by a combination of The Fear´s Struggle Bug and Raven´s Acid Spray. Also screw you Ame for not letting me fish at Coral Ward. My Team: Volgin Level 18 Pick Up Quiet Charm Charge Beam Spark Quick Attack The Fear Level 19 Swarm Careful Fury Cutter Struggle Bug Sing Cut Kaz Level 19 Keen Eye Bashful Covet Light Screen Charge Beam Psybeam Hal Level 21 Lightningrod Relaxed Water Pulse Water Sport Horn Attack Supersonic Solidus Level 18 Sturdy Docile Curse Rock Throw Rock Tomb Stealth Rock (Obsidia Slums catch) Raven (In nature there is no such thing as boundless slaughter, there is always an an end to it.) Level 18 Aftermath Mild Sludge Acid Spray Toxic Spikes Pound Box: Ocelot Olga Snake Frank Jaeger (At least I always fought for what I believed in) Naomi (Living is a link to the future) (Obsidia Ward catch) Sigint (Well, let me tell you about the absolute worst, most sickening nightmare I ever had) Clark (Yes, the Russian glowcap is a glowing mushroom, so it'll recharge your batteries when you eat it) Fatman (Can you hear it? Hear this rhythm? This is the rhythm of time — and life) Fallen Comrades: Big Boss (RIP: 5-17) Edited October 4, 2014 by Yazmat
Yazmat
Good news and bad news everyone: The good news are I beat Florinia and got my second badge. The bad news are 2 of my Pokemon died to Florinias Ferroseed. Hal and Raiden (Herdier). Fern=Fury Cutter Spam. Florinia= Fury Cutter Spam or so it should be if her Cradily didn´t survived it with almost no hp. The Fear survived just barely a Smack Down from it which forced me to switch him out against her Breloom who Kaz took care of also with barely any hp. Against Forroseed I send out Raiden but instead of healing The Fear I decided to lower it attack and Raiden died to a combination of Sand Tomb, Leech Seed, Sandstorm and Pin Missle. The same happened with Hal although this time I used him to heal The Fear. Forroseed and Cacnea both got K.Oed by Fury Cutter. My Team: Volgin Level 19 Pick Up Quiet Charm Charge Beam Spark Nuzzle The Fear Level 25 Technician Careful Fury Cutter Struggle Bug Sing Cut Kaz Level 20 Keen Eye Bashful Covet Light Screen Charge Beam Psybeam Raven Level 19 Aftermath Mild Sludge Toxic Spikes Acid Spray Pound Solidus Level 19 Sturdy Docile Curse Rock Throw Rock Tomb Stealth Rock Strangelove Level 20 Swift Swim Quiet Water Gun Disable Confusion Water Pulse Box: Ocelot Olga Snake Frank Jaeger Naomi Sigint Clark Fatman (Coral Ward Catch) Psycho Mantis Coldman Eva Liquid Fallen Comrades: Big Boss (RIP: 5-17) Hal (RIP: 4-22) Raiden (RIP: 15-20) Edited October 5, 2014 by Yazmat
Yazmat
The fight against Taka didn´t really go as well as I hoped it would. Got a Numel (which I named The Fury) to take care of the Forest Field. Sadly it died to a Geodude from a Grunt (don´t ask why I didn´t switch it out). Taka´s first two Pokemon (Liliep and Chatot which got slightly nerfed) went down pretty fast. Against Tangrowth I send out Raven. Sadly he died to a +4 Vine Whip after taking a Acid Spray and the Tangrowth got taken out by Raven´s Aftermath. This wouldn´t have happend if I had my Numel. The double Battle against Zel and Taka went much better because Fury Cutter + Metronome = OP. Putting Claceon (Zel´s Pokemon were slightly nerfed) to sleep while setting up Light Screen with Kaz and then killing even Taka´s Chatot ie one hit. Corey was easy. Meryl (Woobat) used Gust to terminate the poison mist and K Oing Skrelp. Against Croagunk I send out Sunny (Emolga). Paralyzed Croagunk and then spamming Double Team. His Team got then wrecked by a combination with Nuzzle and Electro Ball without him touvhing me. My Team: (Jasper Ward catch) Sunny Level 29 Motor Drive Calm Nuzzle Electro Ball Double Team Shock Wave Solidus Level 26 Sturdy Docile Curse Dragon Breath Rock Tomb Stealth Rock Kaz Level 24 Keen Eye Bashful Light Clay Covet Light Screen Charge Beam Psybeam The Fear Level 28 Technician Careful Metronome Fury Cutter Struggle Bug Sing Cut Zero Level 24 Static Adamant Charge Cotton Spore Thunder Wave Charge Beam (Rhodocrine catch) Meryl Level 24 Unaware Hardy Heart Stamp Assurance Gust Air Cutter Box: Olga Snake Frank Jaeger Naomi Sigint Clark Fatman Psycho Mantis Coldman Eva Liquid Volgin Strangelove (Malchou Forest catch) Cypher (Power Plant catch) Sniper Wolf (Beryl Ward catch) Zadornov Paz The Sorrow Fallen Comrades: Big Boss (RIP: 5-17) Hal (RIP: 4-22) Raiden (RIP: 15-20) Raven (RIP: 9-22) The Fury (RIP: 15-21) Edited October 5, 2014 by Yazmat
Yazmat
Update: Aster and Eclipse got sweeped by Zero (wanted to level him up for Power Gem) and Victoria got sweeped by Sunny with Acrobatics. The Fear died by fighting some random trainer with a Murkrow. and resorted to level up Paz which should come in handy for Kiki. Did the Team Aqua sidequest to get an extra Pokemon later although I´m pretty satisfied with my Team as for now. Shelly herself was easy with Flame Burst from Growlithe burning her field and Solidus setting up Stealth Rocks. In hindsight I better would have just use Emolga from the start and not bother with Stealth Rocks even though her Yanmega could have been dangerous otherwise. Solidus died to a combination of a strengthend Struggle Bug and a weakend Energy Ball which is a shame because I wanted to have a Steelix later. Oh well atleast her Team got wrecked by the burning field and by Acrobatics. Now I have to train a new Pokemon. Probably Poochyena because it and my Purrloin are the only Dark type Pokemon I have for Shade. Although someone can recommend me someone else. My Team: Sunny Level 34 Motor Drive Calm Nuzzle Electro Ball Light Screen Acrobatics Zero Level 35 Static Adamant Charge Power Gem Thunder Wave Charge Beam Kaz Level 31 Keen Eye Bashful Light Clay Covet Light Screen Shadow Ball Psyshock The Sorrow Level 34 Flash Fire Rash Flamethrower Flame Burst Fire Fang Retailiate Paz Level 32 Rattled Lax Charm Bite Lick Headbutt (North Obsidia catch) Vamp Level 24 Quick Feet Careful Sand Attack Roar Bite Odor Sleuth Box: Olga Snake Frank Jaeger Naomi Sigint Clark Fatman Psycho Mantis Coldman Eva Liquid Volgin Strangelove Cypher Sniper Wolf Zadornov Ocelot Meryl Cyborg Ninja Sam (Grand Stairway Catch) Gene (Lapis Ward catch) Mistral Fallen Comrades: Big Boss (RIP: 5-17) Hal (RIP: 4-22) Raiden (RIP: 15-20) Raven (RIP: 9-22) The Fury (RIP: 15-21) The Fear (RIP: 5-28) Solidus (RIP: 15-32) Edited October 11, 2014 by Yazmat
Gaunt
So many deaths already...well this is Reborn, for Shade wouldn't Zorua be eligible? Edited October 11, 2014 by Gaunt
Yazmat
Zorua doesn´t count as a gift Pokemon because I have to catch it while I battle it and I have already got my Lapis Ward and North Obsidia catches where you can catch him if I remember correctly. Also I expected a lot more deaths and expect many more in the future. Atleast there are a lot of useful gift Pokemon in the game. Also I´m scared of Shade because I have no Idea how his Team changed or if it even changed it. He probnably still has his Rotom, Gengar and Chandelure. He probably also has his Gollett so he can, if his Short-Circuit Field changes to a Factory Field, change it batck to a Short-Circuit filed with Magnitude. Ever
Shade also haves Gourgeist and Doublade.
