Kookies Posted October 4, 2014 Share Posted October 4, 2014 Well I am really pissed! Does this ability works for you(CompoundEyes)? Or how does it work in this game? I am trying to catch a horsea with a Dragon Scale so as to make a Kingdra... I caught 23 of them with a CompoundEyes Galvantula at the front slot of the party and nothing yet!!! I think that horsea has 5% chance of holding Dragon Scale so with the Compound Eyes the propability should have been 20% which means 1 Dragon Scale every 5 pokemon. However 5% means 1 Dragon Scale every 20 pokemon! Is there a horsea with this held item or its just me without any luck at all? Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I've never tested it myself, but I have seen several forums that recommend using Compound Eyes to farm for Heart Scales and other items usually obtained through Pokemon holding them. Though I'm pretty sure comundeyes works, when i used it to find my black sludge i found it on my second trubbish as opposed to the 25 it took me without it in another hack but yeah I might try to do some more solid testing now. Yeah I know, i have written quite a lot of RNG programs in c++ but the question is what does this RNG algorithm use for a seed (time of my pc perhap?s)and If the generated numbers are completely random to one another or is there an equation for the next number?
