Pokémon Academy: Ch 2a: Dragons [IC]

[Commander]

During the chaos with Shiro, Henry was able to sneak over to Evan and whispered, "The Salamence we heard might be the one in charge. One of us needs to follow my Vulpix and find it, while the other saves Shiro over there. It's risky, but I'm out of ideas. Unless you want to hope someone else finds us first." Henry was very uneasy at Shiro's actions, but he was able to keep calm despite the serious danger they were in.

[DarkLight]

'This is going to be awkward for a while.' Danielle thought as Jacob motioned for her to go forward. Without a word, she brushed past the bushes and leaves and followed her Murkrow. Danielle walked slowly towards them so that she wouldn't spook the Druddigon family. 'Hopefully they are not as territorial as a female Haxorus would be with her kids.' Once in the clearing, she also saw Robert and James observing the dragons nearby. She would love to stay and examine the Druddigon, too, but Devin's task comes first. "Hey guys! Has anybody seen a Salamence nearby? Professor Cadmus told Jacob and me to find it as soon as possible. We need to deliver a message about a Hydreigon or something."

[Jory]

Jacob entered the clearing behind Danielle, his eyes brightening a bit at the sight of other people. "Guys, this is important. If Devin wants us to find a Hydreigon it could be bad news. Those things can become extremely hostile toward people or Pokemon who they perceive as intruders." He looked over at Danielle, feeling the odd emptiness again. It's better than not being able to be friends with her at all, he reasoned. Teo looked up at his Trainer, excited to see his change in mood. I can deal with this. I've dealt with worse before.

[Felicity]

Hesitantly, Claude made his way over to the Tyrunts. They still seemed to want something with the ball. When Claude picked up the ball, he lifted it high to look it over, and the two Tyrunts jumped up, trying to get to the ball. This made Claude cry out, naturally, and he went racing off in the other direction. The two tiny dragons thought this was a way of playing and gave chase, enjoying themselves. After a few minutes of fleeing for what Claude thought was his life, Claude threw the ball to Kage, yelling "CATCH!" in a shrill voice.

[Bfroger6]

The radiant ball of light shot out by the Hydreigon blew up when it hit Shun. It all happened way to fast for her to use another Shadow Sneak and Shiro didn't even get a chance to blink. The Ralts collapsed on the ground when she got hit, her fall folowed by a silent thump on the ground.

"Shun was..." Shiro threw himself backwards from the shock, half expecting Henry to catch him before he falls down, but he soon realized henry was already gone and he fell straight on his butt. Did Henry leave him? He thought as he stared stright at the Hydreigon which was now focused on the other boy. This was his chance to grab Shun and he wasn't going to let it pass. Shiro helped himself up and plummeted towards Shun, grabbing her small body and pushing it deep into his chest. He hardly even noticed how strongly her horn struck his stomach as he did so. He had more important things to worry about. Their lives were in danger. That Hydreigon was clearly capable of killing them both and it wasn't going to just let them escape now. They were doomed, unless help would arrive in time. But that wasn't likely... Even his roommate decided it would be best to just leave him there to die...

Kenny smiled when they asked him about where there was a Salamence nearby.

"Actually, i ran into it a short while ago with Ryan. Follow me."

and with that, Kenny and his Team headed back to where he and Ryan had seen the Salamence.

After following Kenny and his team for several minutes, a huge silhouette began to appear in front of them. Upon closer inspection, the dark shape turned out to be a Salamence that is lying on the grass. It seemed to be very content; it wasn't even bothered by the neck-piece that it is wearing. As the group stepped closer to it, the huge dragon raised its head to face them; its curiosity was evident in the way it looked at each of them. Danielle smiled at the huge flying dragon before she went over to pet it; the dragon seemed pleased. "Hi there, Salamence. It's nice to meet you," Danielle greeted the gentle giant. "We need to give you a message from Professor Cadmus. It has to do with a Hydreigon... Jacob could tell you more about it. He was the one that Professor Cadmus entrusted the message to." With that, the Salamence was instantly on high alert. It turned to face Jacob, awaiting the message. Danielle also stepped aside, giving Jacob a full view of the majestic dragon. 'Hopefully, Salamence can help him recover, too.'

[Jory]

Jacob stared in awe at the massive Salamence. It was like nothing he had ever seen before. Its head was the size of Jacob's chest and its wings were larger than any Pokemon's he'd ever seen. Teo looked extremely excited, as though he wanted to become best friends with the Salamence. He approached it cautiously and extended a hand to the Dragon, allowing it to inspect him before he began speaking. "Salamence, Professor Cadmus told us that it's really important that we tell you to find Hydreigon. He said you'd know which one I was talking about. I think it has something to do with the other students," he said quickly, trying not to sound as excited as he was.

[Chevaleresse]

Kage almost flung a barrage of curses at Claude before he remembered that he wasn't aware of Kage's condition. He very narrowly avoided getting pelted in the face with the ball with the assistance of his Pokemon, who warned him of the trajectory it was coming in on. Rather than catching it, it sort of just hit his hands, bouncing off. It rolled off a short distance before he ran over and scooped it up. When the Tyrunts came toward him, following the ball, he made a couple circuits around the field, then dropkicked the ball in the general direction of Claude. "Calm down, man, they're playing! They want the ball, not your rear!"

[Sutoratosu]

"A Maril," Mareek answered, still somewhat reluctant. "I need something that can take care of Rock types, but also wanna show people who might be a bit cocky during the trip that simply having a dragon type on their team doesn't guarantee victory..." He looked over at the Horsea and the Kindra swimming in the pond. He figured this guy had probably been watching the latter and had gotten a bit too excited and fell in. "I don't suppose you might be one of those people...are you? The ones who think that the moment a wyrm joins the party; every battle is going to be a complete shoe-in?"

[Chim]

Salamence Hunters (K_H, Jory, DarkLight, TurboAura, Azery)

The Salamence watched a group of students come closer. He let the female pet him since every student seemed to like touching dragons and he was used to it by now. When Jacob told him his master’s message he immediately raised his head and let out a loud, angry roar. Every year the Hydreigon did the same thing even though it knew students wouldn’t attack it and either year either the Salamence or Devin had to stop it. The dragon spread its mighty wings, forcing the students to take a step back, and took off.

If Jacob and company were interested to see why the Salamence had to stop the Hydreigon, they could easily follow it.

Commander and Bfroger

Evan listened to Henry’s plan. “Sounds good, you follow your Pokémon and get out of here. You can’t keep it distracted with your leg anyway.” He watched as the other guy was in trouble. “I’m going to kick his ass for this,” he mumbled leaving Henry behind and trying to distract the Hydreigon by hitting the ground with a stick.

Another roar could be heard in the distance when Hydreigon turned his attention to Evan. The boy started to run away from Shiro and managed to lure the Brutal Pokémon away.

Elf and Murdoc

((I’m going to let you two continue for a little longer))

Stratos

“A Maril? Awesome!” Colin replied. He followed Mareek’s gaze. “I’m trying to become a Water Pokémon expert,” he said enthusiastically. “Those two are mine; Kyte the Mudkip and Celestinine the Horsea.” He pointed to the two Pokémon who joined the Kingdra and playful Horsea.

EXLink and Tacos

The door to the lab was open and Ryan and Slade could see Rebecca working on her laptop. She looked up when she heard the odd footsteps. “Aren’t you two supposed to be at Professor Cadmus’ home?” she asked getting up and walking to the door. Then she saw Ryan’s ankle. “What happened?”

[K_H]

Kenny and his Team followed the Salamence as it flew off, saying only one thing as they left.

"Let's go see what's going on, guys!"

[Tacos]

"Well, I wasn't exactly expecting Professor Cadmus's Haxorus to scare me like they did. I got spooked and broke my ankle when I slipped trying to get away from them." Ryan's face turned to a frown. "I'll still be able to go on the excursion, right?"

[Felicity]

Claude shrieked again when he caught the ball. "WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING?! KEEP THIS DEATH MAGNET AWAY FROM ME!!" Claude immediately chucked the ball, unfortunately his aim was off and the ball hit the momma Tyrantrum straight on the nose.

[Jory]

Jacob nodded, impressed at the Salamence's seriousness and speed in reacting. "Right! Let's follow him!" Jacob suggested to Danielle before taking off after Kenny, Teo jostling in his arms as the Trainer ran through the underbrush.

[Azeria]

Seeing Salamence take off and His friends run after it,James nodded to Shade and asked"Hey buddy mind fading us out?"He asked him.(Shade is capable of fading out of this world for a short amount of time say a minute )((Not gunna be used in battle only for cases like these))

[Sutoratosu]

Interesting how he got so excited all of a sudden and completely ignored my question, Mareek thought to himself, the other young man pointing out his partners to him. Yeah... He's probably is one of those types of people... can't say I'm much surprised. What he said however, was "A water specialist, eh? alright... just hope you can move a lot better in water than you seem to do on land... jagged rocks aren't exactly as forgiving if you bump into them at full speed as people are."

[Chim]

Salamence Hunters (K_H, Jory, DarkLight, TurboAura, Azery)

If the group left the forest and looked to their left they could see the Salamence flying towards a Hydreigon in the distance. The Brutal Pokémon seemed to be chasing something, but all they could see were three different silhouettes moving. One of them was being chased by the Hydreigon, but they were too far to see faces.

((Small update but this way the group can move on. The rest I'm going to wait until the other people involved have a chance to post. As for Stratos: If I postpone a little bit Notus might be able to pick up the conversation.))

"Not to damper your mood but I don't think you could do much with that leg of yours." Slade said looking out for Ryan, "Before we worry about the trip, we should focus on why we came here in the first place." Slade said with a smile. He could let people endanger themselves while he could prevent it.

[DarkLight]

As the wind from the mighty Salamence's wings died down, Danielle could only hold her breath as it soared through the skies. It seemed to be going left, as if it already spotted the Hydreigon from a distance. She could hear Kenny and Jacob beckoning her and the others to follow as they sped off in the same direction. "Looks like that helped him, isn't that right Avis?" she whispered as she began to run after them too. Her Murkrow gave a cry of glee before the bird, herself, took off to follow the Salamence in the air. Danielle chuckled before quickening her pace; she eventually caught up to the guys. "Oh yeah, I almost forgot: Thanks for helping us find the dragon, Kenny! Now let's see what it has in store for us!" she said excitedly.

[Jory]

Jacob nodded in agreement with Danielle, smiling at Kenny as they moved toward the site of the conflict with the Brutal Pokemon. "Yeah, Kenny, we wouldn't have been able to do it without you. Thanks," he said quietly, deep in thought as he carried Teo along with him. The Trapinch gurgled excitedly every time he caught a glimpse of the Salamence flying overhead, flapping his legs uselessly all the while. "Don't worry, bud," Jacob said levelly. "Soon you'll be strong enough to evolve into a Vibrava. Then you'll be able to fly as much as you want!" he continued. Teo gurgled once more with a sense of urgency. "You can't evolve yet! We still have to train you more!" The Trapinch pouted at this, looking away and closing his eyes. Jacob shook his head, sighing. He's been getting more and more restless lately. That just means we need to train harder so he can evolve, just like he wants to.

[Tacos]

"Yeah but my knight in shining armor could always carry me through the mountains." I needed one gay moment today, I mean come on. Hopefully Slade didn't think that was directed towards him. Ryan found the nearest chair and sat down, extending his leg for Rebecca to examine.

[Tses]

"I'm glad you like it mister Flygon. Although thats all the food I got right now." Sissy said pointing at Miffy. The Flygon smiled at her in a delighted mood. He then pointed his back and turned his face again on her, in a way that he wanted her to ride him.

"Do you maybe want us to play with you? Well it's the best thing to do right now since we don't have anything ese to do, so let's give it a shot. Miffy return." She said holding Miffy's pokeball in her hands.The Flaaffy gave a big yawn for once again and returned into her pokeball.

Sissy then turned herself on Flygon's back thinking on how she could sit on there. After a minute she found herself on top of his back between his neck and his wings. The Flygon stood up and gave a look on her like saying hold tight. He then took its position to take off.

[Chim]

Commander and Bfroger + Salamence Hunters

The Hydreigon heard the Salamence approach from far and knew what would happen. It decided to finish off the smaller enemies so it could focus on getting away from the incoming powerhouse, without being held back. The brutal Pokémon fired another Dragon Pulse at Evan, who could barely dodge, before turning its attention to the one closest to him; Henry. This time a Dark Pulse found its way towards intended target and blasted just in front of him, covering Henry in dirt and dust.

Hydreigon heard it missed both enemies barely, like it intended, and turned its heads into the incoming Salamence. Only a second later it got smashed into the ground causing an explosion of even more dirt and dust that covered everyone that was close.

((Evan is closest followed by Henry. They landed a little away from Shiro so he should still be good to escape if he wants))

Elf, Murdoc and Tses

The mother Tyrantrum snorted when the ball hit her nose, but didn’t react on it. The little Tyrunt’s on the other hand were glad they managed to get the ball and started biting and kicking it. (It’s made so it won’t pop that easily) The Tyrantrum watched them play for a second before turning her attention towards Claude, who was closest to her, and her curiosity took over. Maybe this guy also had some snacks?

She nudged him with her nose right when Sissy flew over on a Flygon. The friendly dragon landed next to Kage; watching Claude’s reaction.

EXLink and Tacos

Rebecca carefully examined Ryan’s ankle. “I don’t think it’s broken, but it would be better to take a scan. Unfortunately our doctor can’t do it so I’ll arrange transport to the hospital. Your friend and I will go with you and I can guarantee you won’t miss the excursion. Professor Redwood and Professor Cadmus will find something to take you along even if you have a broken ankle,” she said with a soft smile.

((I’m finishing everything up right now. The hospital parts isn’t all that important, but if you want to do it go ahead.))

[Tacos]

"Well that was probably the best case scenario I must say!" Ryan grinned. This is gonna be great. Maybe I'll score some extra points for successfully participating with this awful leg of mine.
