Danielle nodded, pressing the button to open the elevator doors. Once the group are inside, she pressed the "7" key and waited for the elevator to make its way up. "Glad that it worked out there, Mareek and Java. And Slade, you can lead us to the lab once the door opens. I don't want see you cry~" Danielle teased, trying not to laugh at his pouting face. Avis had her face behind her wing. One could either say she was fixing her feathers or was laughing silently at Slade.

As they slowly made their way to the dorms, Kage asked Ryan a question. "Do you think the school screens the mail? Because I just realized that I might get into trouble for something I sent for a couple weeks ago." He was referring to a number of things, actually. He wasn't concerned about his instruments (though he missed them dearly), but a semi-portable Braille display+keyboard combo, a cane, and a compact Braille typewriter might occasion comment. Ryan would probably know the list of things he had sent for; Kage had done it with his help, after all.

((Just go with it; I was going to have Kage ask him to do this in the first few days but never got the chance.))

"I would think possibly, yes. But why would you get in trouble? They can't expel you for being blind. It's what makes you, you." Ryan gave an affectionate punch to Kage's shoulder. "So what if they know you're blind then. You told me you didn't want special treatment. And you simply need to deny that treatment if they want to give it to you. I'll gladly stand by your side if that's the case." Ryan stumbled over to the door and opened it up. He rushed inside and threw himself on the couch, his crutches flying into walls, making a considerably large bang. "Is there another reason why you're so worried though?"

"Oh? I see how it is~" Danielle grinned. "You're afraid that you will lead us into a janitor's closet. That's why you are pushing it on me, right? Somebody's a Torchic! Tor tor torchic!" Danielle began flapping her arms while running around the elevator. Poor Avis was forced to take flight and land on Jacob to observe the comical, but also somewhat embarrassing scene.

"Nah. People just make a huge deal out of this crap, and at this point I'll get in trouble for lying. Although, I didn't actually lie. I just never told them." He sighed, and his tone changed to a happier one. "I can't wait for my instruments to get here, though. There's nothing to do around here other than hang out with people and Pokemon, and I miss playing my music. Come to think of it, have I ever played you anything off of my mp3 player?"

"Not really. In case you've forgotten, I'm really picky with my music so I never took my chances, but I'll give it a shot. What instruments do you play again? I can't quite remember." Ryan paused. Who knows, maybe he could teach me how to play the guitar or something. Ryan smirked and sat up. "Feel free to plug it in to the hub on the table over there." Ryan pointed to the hub for mp3 players and then grabbed his crutches, hoisting himself towards the kitchen.

"So what if I am?" Slade said chuckling, "At least I'm not tuning around an elevator, waving my arms around and screaming like a chicken." He said as the elevator door opens. "Well slowpoke, lead the way." He said with smugness and a smirk on his face.

"Eh, nothing really new. The only point of interest for me was how I ended up in a hole near the dragons, but you already learned that from earlier." In retrospect, Robert had more or less been caught up in the 'experience,' not really getting anything but frightened along the way. After the brief thought, he stood up and faced Kenny, seeing if there was anything more he could get from going with a flow. "So, anything you want to do before our little 'break period' is over with?"

"Mostly bass. I can haul pretty well on the guitar too, since they're not all that different mechanically. The style is different for most music, yeah, and you don't really play chords on a bass unless you want your fingers to bleed, but the notes are just lower. I'm also a decent singer, though I can't do it justice without accompaniment." He walked over to the hub and fumbled about in his pockets for a bit. He withdrew an old-looking mp3 player and a pair of earbuds. He put one of them in, and listened intently while he thumbed a button or two on the player. Finally, he made a satisfied noise and hooked the player up to the hub. He turned the volume up to a nearly earsplitting level and hit play.

"Well~ If you don't mind looking like a fool in Mareek's eyes, that's fine by me~" Danielle chided as she stepped into the hallway, "It's not a hard task, you just need to look at the signs on the walls." She began walking towards the left, as indicated by a sign conveniently placed right next to the elevator doors.

Jacob followed the group along, texting one of his friends from home all the while. It'd been a long time since he'd been back to Accumula Town and he had begun to miss the friends he'd made what seemed like eternities ago. I should visit sometime, he thought to himself. He shook his head, quickly dismissing the notion. There will be time for that later. Right now I need to focus on doing well in school.

Ryan listened intently to the music, and examining the depths of the vocals and the quality of the instrumentals. "I like it. Not exactly what I would call 'my style,' but it's definitely good. Nice vocals and the sound of the guitar is fantastic. The drums were really good. Takes a good drummer to know a good drummer." Ry gave out a small laugh as he remembered his small drum set back at home. "I got a feeling we are gonna hear some noise complaint though." Ryan paused. "Hey, mind coming over here for a quick second?" Ryan grinned.

Kage waved his hand dismissively. "If we get a noise complaint, then someone will have to point out what noise they're talking about, because all I hear is ART!" After rising to a somewhat flamboyant crescendo with that, he returned to a more normal tone as he moved over to Ryan's side. "Whaddya need?"

While down below, a couple's music boomed from a pair of speakers, Raiza decided to play one of the few pieces she knew how to solo. With a glare at her Pokemon, she warned them, "You two better not laugh at me if I make a mistake, or you guys aren't having dinner, pon." Both Litwick and Sneasel just exchanged glances and shrugged at their trainer. After taking a deep breath, she drew her bow across the A string of her violin.

In response, Lucifer's flame seemed to grow brighter-- not from sucking spirit life, but perhaps from the music, and Sneasel, who leaned against the rails with her little arms crossed, had her eyes closed.

When Raiza finished, she released a long breath and sank back down to the ground. "I hope I didn't screw up Thirteen Days too badly, pon. Oh, stop that, it wasn't that good, surely, pon." She noticed Lucifer's little blue ember flicker and glow brightly, which was his own physical way of expressing gratitude, appreciation... well, positive emotions, in general. The Litwick just smiled in his usual creepy way (he couldn't help it, that's what being a Litwick does to your smile; though Raiza just found it adorable). "I wish I could pet you, pon," Raiza said, pouting. Instead, she wiggled her finger on where Lucifer's nose should've been-- that is, if he even had a nose.

Ryan slowly moved his mouth towards Kage's ear. The breath coming out of Ryan's mouth was almost inaudible. "I just realized, we haven't had a legitimate kiss. And I don't think we can simply just continue on without one can we? So whaddya say?"

When Devin entered Redwoods lab, he was greeted by the Professor, both assistants and Phoebe. “Ah, Devin, excellent timing,” Redwood said. “Rebecca took the injured student to the hospital and he broke his ankle. We were just discussing what to do to get him along on the trip to the Boulder Hills. Any ideas?”

“I would first like to apologize that this happened. My group of Haxorus repeated their little trick again but this time I wasn’t around. When I finally found them it was already too late,” Devin explained.

Redwood mused for a second. “Don’t blame yourself, old friend. Accidents happen. In all the years you’ve been here this is the first time something like this happened. We should be glad it didn’t happen in the Hills.”

“About that,” Brendan interrupted. He was sitting at a computer and reading his email. “I just received a notification from Miss Welsh. She called an emergency board meeting tomorrow at 2 PM. She expects you to be there, Professor.”

Phoebe made a hissing sound, but Redwood didn’t seem surprised. “She moves fast as always. I’m not surprised. Tell her I’ll be there and contact Miss Blake. I’m sure she’s already stressed enough and I feel bad to add this to her to do list, but if we don’t prepare a room and receive them properly she’s going to use that against me.” Brendan nodded and started typing.

Devin opened his mouth again, but this time Professor Redwood cut him off. “I know you want to apologize again but that’s not necessary. She’s been looking for years to get her foot between the doors. If the accident didn’t happen she eventually would’ve found something else. So let’s get to the point and find a solution to get Ryan Johnson on that trip, shall we?” his tone was friendly and final at the same time. “Now; he can move around in his wheelchair and crutches, but that will be a problem in the Hills. We were thinking of using Tyron’s Machamp or your Flygon. What do you say?”

“Those are probably our best options, but I think Flygon is the safer bet. The underground in the hills can be unstable and if Machamp trips…” Devin answered.

Everyone nodded in agreement when a small beeping noise could be heard. The printer behind Phoebe ran out of paper. “Phoebe, if you want to refill the printer. The paper is lying next to it.” Redwood requested.

The Water type expert did what was asked of her. She removed the fresh printed papers and in her curiosity saw the list of first year students with their statistics. “Why do you need this, Professor?” she asked. She took a quick look through it and saw pictures, names, BP points, overall grades, Pokémon the students had and a battle overview. “So much details…” she mumbled. “Isn’t it easier to just look it up on the laptop?”

“No, because they are for me and I’ll be using that information during the trip.” It was Devin who replied.

“What do you mean? This isn’t helpful at all. It’s just grades and stuff so I don’t see how it can help with Dragons,” Phoebe said. She handed the papers over and lost interest. She obviously hoped to find something more exciting than a bunch of statistics.

Devin replied nonetheless. “Two reasons,” he stated. “The first one is that first year students tend to battle people they are familiar with, even during this trip. I want to mix things up a little by letting them battle others. This way it should challenge them when they are facing a style they aren’t familiar with. The second reason is safety. Every year there are students, who are best friends, that don’t pay attention and anger wild Pokémon by accident. Last year we had two students that were having fun by teasing each other and pushing one of the roads. They angered a swarm of Beedrill…”

“Speaking of students,” Brendan replied. “There are a few of them headed this way.” He was still sitting behind his laptop, but faced the door. His desk, which he shared with Rebecca, was the first thing students saw when they walked into the hall leading to the lab since the door was always open.

"Okay, training sounds good, even if you want to just train off your own poke's." With that, Robert was fully ready to follow Kenny to the likely battlefields. Kiai had gotten more 'used to' Ryu's evolving, and settled down, looking at Robert for the time to go.

(Go ahead and Bunny him, atleast if we have that kind of time.)

After getting tired of sitting down with the violin in her lap, Raiza packed it away, took a swig of milk tea, and stood up, clapping her hands together. "All right, you two, let's get some training done, pon!"

It was a method she'd seen other students employ; pitting both Pokemon against each other. "Let's hit two Pidgey with one stone, pon. No, not literally, silly," she said, seeing Sneasel look up with a predatory gleam in her eyes at the mention of "Pidgey". "Lucifer has a Pokeblock on him, pon. He's gonna do whatever it takes to keep it away from you, even use Fire attacks, pon. Sneasel, you're gonna have to rely on speed and precision for this; you're not allowed to use Feint Attack, pon. If you do, I'm not giving you anymore Spicy Pokeblocks for the rest of the week." Sneasel frowned; she saw it coming, though. Lucifer was a Ghost type, after all... Using that move would've made things too easy. The Litwick looked at the Pokeblock in his stubby little hands. Why would Sneasel want this Pokeblock, anyway? It was super spicy, not as tasty as spiritual energy. "And, Lucifer, pon, if you can't hold out for one minute, you don't get to have a Pokeblock later." That changed his attitude. Dry, bitter Pokeblocks weren't as yummy as souls, but at least they were a close second to his favorite food. Sneasel scraped her claws on each other as if to sharpen them and went into fighting stance, looking as though she would pounce any moment. "Oh, and, last thing, you two: don't kill each other, okay, pon?" Raiza said, with a shrug. "Go!"

At the signal to start, Sneasel burst forth like a blur; her opponent and target anticipated this and prepared. Hugging the morsel to his waxy body, Lucifer began shrinking, the Pokeblock shrinking along with him-- as a result the Sneasel flew over him. Growling in annoyance, she began darting around the Litwick, surrounding him, her body a blur of swift movement. Lucifer wasn't fazed, though at first he looked around, expecting a quick strike. In response, the flame on his head grew in size and intensity quickly till it burst in several directions, hitting Sneasel squarely in the chest. Shaking her head, she resolved to look out for that. There was only one way, she realized, that the flame didn't burst in-- and that way was upward.

She darted around him again in a blur. This time, Lucifer was fully confident in his next move-- if the fire didn't hit Sneasel, he could at least melt himself down to protect the Pokeblock. The Dark-Ice type moved faster and faster; this time was no different. The fire on his head grew and grew till it finally burst-- to his surprise and dismay, Sneasel jumped up to dodge it! This was what he'd prepared for, though, and melted down; Sneasel couldn't quite swipe at him enough to nab the Pokeblock. They both froze when Raiza plucked the beginning tune of Super Mario Bros. as a way of signalling time.

"All right, you two, one minute's over, pon. Lucifer, you've really gotten that Flame Burst down, haven't you?" Raiza remarked happily, tossing him his favorite Pokeblock as a reward while he started solidifying. "Now, Sneasel, dear, you could've done better... But, that was an excellent effort, pon." She petted the disappointed looking Sneasel... who looked up in surprise when she was offered a Spicy Pokeblock. "And that's why you get to have this, pon," a proud Raiza said with a grin as the ecstatic Sneasel received it in disbelief. "The only reason Lucifer here had to use Flame Burst is because he wasn't sure where you were coming from-- that's almost the same as Double Team, which we've been trying to nail, pon. You looked like a ninja out there, like a... Like an Eastern Rogue, pon." With that, her chocolate-brown eyes lit up. "Hey, that's it, pon! Rogue! That's what I'll call you; do you like it?" The Sneasel nodded in response, nibbling away contently at her Pokeblock. Lucifer sat next to his teammate, devouring his own treat with gusto as their Trainer watched happily.

"Well there's nothing wrong with a little role reversal now and then." Ryan teased Kage. Ryan leaned forward into him. "I was afraid that we might get separated during this excursion, and I wouldn't be able to just wait that whole time." Ryan pressed his lips onto Kage's, hoping for some reciprocation.

"All right, then, let's go."

Kenny, Robert, and their Teams then headed over to and entered the Training Building.
