Tacos
"You act like I could never make any for myself." Ryan chuckled a little. "I wouldn't mind a piece or two though." Ryan sat down and slid his chair next to Kage, grabbing a piece and munching on it.
Chevaleresse
"I just don't like it when people do things for me at their own expense," Kage replied. "Feels like I owe them, and it's not always possible to pay it back." Changing the subject, he spoke quickly. "So, what are we going to do with the rest of our break?" Commander
Henry eventually glanced over to his backpack and noticed a purple fluffball messing with it. "GYPSY!" Henry closed the folder and quickly pulled the bug away from the backpack. "You never change, do you? I'm going to have to spend another good chunk BP to replenish it." Henry looked at his watch to see the time. "We have a bit of spare time so how about a quick lesson? Now...what should I do? Hmm...I don't believe I've ever done anything on stamina. Follow me." Henry used his cane to get back up and led his pokemon into a big open area. He than began lecturing again. "I'm sure the everyday trainer could tell you about stamina, or HP as they refer to it. A pokemon can only take so many hits before fainting, but most overlook an important factor. Attack moves also affect stamina. I like to think of it as a person on a track. They can go a lot farther if they walk, but get to a shorter destination faster if they sprint. Non-attack moves are walking and will let you put your guard up quicker. This is what we're going to work on today. Jogging is when you use a single attack. You can't protect as well, but you can also use one of your status moves to guard. Sprinting is when you use two attacks at once. You hit very hard, but you're pretty much defenseless then. All three have there uses, but jogging is the most reliable one. That's a useful lesson I learned from Justy." Henry hesitated for a moment before beginning his training. You know, I probably should consider giving lessons. Students would probably stop staring at me then. Nah. "Alright, Gypsy, you're going to endure a hit and use Disable afterwards, got it? I'm going to give Zuko orders so be prepared for his worst." Gypsy nodded as she hopped over to the opposite side. Zuko stood in front of Henry ready for orders. "Zuko use...use...." Henry tried yelling Ember, but the words didn't come out. What the hell? When the Hydreigon attacked, I didn't choke like this. Wait... "Zuko, Confuse Ray!" The Vulpix released a ball of light that swirled around the Venonat. The Venonat became dizzy, but was able to create a quick flash of light that made Zuko blink. "Sorry about that, but I think we're gonna end this one early. How about I get use something to eat?" Henry returned his Pokemon to their Poke Balls and began walking slowly with his cane. Why now of all times? I've never choked like that before. Henry thought to himself. He then looked down at his leg. It has to be because of this. That's the only thing that makes sense. No, I'm not afraid of being hit by the blast so what is it. Henry then recalled when Zuko almost hit Kenny with an Ember. I doubt it. I'll just worry about this later. Henry tried getting the thoughts out of his head, but they just came back stronger. As Henry went through the cafeteria, he was a bit shaky and dropped his cane by accident. He struggled to get down and pick it up, but somehow managed to get back on his feet. He then tried taking deep breaths, but nothing calmed his nerves. Edited October 25, 2014 by commander218
Tacos
Ryan turned towards Kage. "Well, this is my dorm, and you're the guest, so it's up to you to make the decisions. Zephyrus the Priestess
There was a bit of a commotion in the canteen and Raiza turned her head to look. Some guy looked to be wheezing like he had a hard time breathing or something, and he was considerably shaky, too. It looked like he had a hard time walking as well. She looked around; people were either pointing at him, or staring at him, or both. Not a one moved to help him. "Lucifer, hold my place in line, all right?" she said to the Litwick, ignorant of his gorging on others' energy as she approached the guy with the cane. That was when she realized who this was: she'd heard students talking about some standoffish, nasty student with whom nobody got along with, and was, well, basically a jerk, so it served him right to need to walk with a cane. Personally, Raiza didn't like to put much stock into rumors and gossip, as those kinds of things weren't really her thing. "Hey, d'you need any help, pon?" Raiza asked as quietly as possible, keeping her hands to herself though she was worried that this guy would fall over again. Suddenly, of her own accord, Rogue popped out of her Pokeball in curiosity.

Commander
"Sorry about that little show." Henry finally snapped back to reality after hearing the girl's voice. "It's just that one of my biggest fears may have come true. I'm fine now." Henry looked at the girl and didn't recognize her. "I assume we've never crossed paths. I'd surely recognize someone with a very handy Pokemon like Sneasel. I'm Henry aka the infamous Orre boy. And you are?"
Chim
DarkLight “Ah yes, that certainly is an Eviolite. It’s a rather special stone since it seems to resonate with an Everstone and can hold the energy it resonates. That’s not the only thing it does. Eviolite that still has its pure energy, in other words isn’t exposed to an Everstone, strengthens a Pokémon skin. You will learn about these particular stones in the second semester or if you’re interested you can have a head start and question me about it,” redwood chuckled. He patted Avis’ wing. “Murkrows are truly fascinating creatures. They have a bad reputation because they like to prank people… Do you know how they got their bad reputation?” His knowledgeable half took over. It happened from time to time and usually his secretary or one of his assistants interrupted him and told him this wasn’t the best time. If Danielle didn’t change the subject soon, she would be stuck until classes started again. ((I thought you wanted an Everstone? xD)) Surge Brendan took the Pokéball out of Mareek’s hand and walked over to an empty, iron table. He turned an extra light on and laid the Pokéball under it. “I’ll be right back,” he said to Mareek before opening a door next to a giant bookcase. He returned a few seconds later while carrying a case full of equipment. “Now let’s see what the exact problem is… If a Clip malfunctions it’s either the magnet so it falls of your belt or the magnetic field. If it’s the second one it’ll interfere eventually with the Release Button. If this keeps happening your Pokémon could be trapped inside…” He took out a magnet and held it in front of the Clip. “Weak response,” he muttered before holding it in front of the Release Button. “No interference here…” He turned back to Mareek. The Magnet doesn’t work properly. I only need to replace it and your Pokéball is as good as new. He took out another magnet plate from his toolbox and held his previous magnet above it. The plate immediately flew up and attached to the magnet. He then took out a screwdriver and detached the Pokéball in order to get the magnet out. He repeated the same trick with this magnet, but it only moved around on the table. After that he put the Pokéball back perfectly together and handed it back to Mareek. “As good as new; can I help you with something else?”
K_H
Kenny got three of each kind of Sushi, while giving Eve and Zorro two pieces of Sushi each. Ryu didn't get any of the Sweeter pieces of Sushi, due to his Nature being Brave. Kenny noticed this, and asked him about it. "Ryu, i see that you've left the Sweeter Sushi alone. Why is that?" Ryu responded, and Zorro translated for him. "Car cario ar car cario lucar ario" "Ryu just said something along the lines of 'sweet foods have an aftertaste that he dislikes.'" Kenny nodded, speaking to Ryu. "I see. So that's why you avoided the Pecha Berries unless you were poisoned when we were back on the Ranch in Unova." Zorro blinked at this, then spoke up. "You're from Unova? what a coincidence! So were my Parents!" Edited October 25, 2014 by K_H
Zephyrus the Priestess
See, he wasn't as bad as people thought him to be. "Raiza. Or Kestrel, whichever, really. This is Rogue, and if you happen to see an eternally hungry Litwick, that's Lucifer, pon," Raiza replied. "I don't really hang around people or places where there are people in my spare time, pon," she added, shrugging. Rogue glanced up at the new person, apparently named Henry, as though sizing him up. It was when he called her a handy Pokemon that she smirked smugly as Sneasel typically did, approving of what she felt was a compliment.
TurboAura
From that link of coincidence, Robert realized that he had overlooked any hints of origin over the last few weeks, either that or it just didn't come up until now. "Oh, your from Unova? The place sounds interesting enough, atleast from how Brawly described it whenever he came back from the PWT in, Driftveil city I believe. As for me, I'm from Hoenn, though you've probably already known that, being how I seem to bring up alot of things that relate to my home town of Dewford." Commander
"So I'm not the only loner around. I've learned the hard way you really can't trust anyone. Trust me, a large handful of these students are complete idiots that you wouldn't want your secrets going out to." Henry looked over and saw what her Litwick was doing. I'm not sure if she's evil or completely naive. I may actually want to keep this one around. "So tell me, what region do you come from? I already said I was from Orre. It's is a dessert full or crime, but so few recognize the name."
Zephyrus the Priestess
Raiza shrugged again. "From what I've observed so far, the folks here like to spread rumors. I'm not really fond of people, anyway, pon." When he looked over her shoulder, she glanced and saw only Lucifer, whose little flame had grown bright and flickered powerfully. Looked like he was having fun keeping her place in line. "I'm from here-- Valley City in particular. Parents are Breeders who specialize in the Ghost-type, pon." Ironic choice of words, though; can't trust anyone, trust me, Raiza thought in amusement, though not letting in show on her face. "The Region of Orre, hm? To be honest, I haven't heard of it... or, at least, of what it is like there. The name itself, I might've skimmed over in a book or a magazine, though it doesn't quite register much to me, pon." Such tasty souls! Sighing contently, Lucifer stopped to check on his Trainer who seemed to be taking her sweet time. There she was, with Sneasel-- Rogue, that is... and with a new face. Enticed, he hovered over-- what did his soul taste like? In no time, the Litwick had arrived, peeking over Raiza's shoulder. While seeing Lucifer making his way towards them, however, Rogue rolled her eyes, realizing that they'd lose their place in line. To replace Lucifer, she hurried and stood in the spot he hovered in previously and looked at the people around her. Raising an eyebrow (if Sneasel even had eyebrows), she noticed that they looked quite haggard.
Sutoratosu
"No sir," Mareek said, taking the capsule from Brendan. "Thank you." He turned and started to walk away...when something came to his mind. "On second thought... Hey, Java..." The porygon stared at his trainer quizzically. The next thing he saw was the red flash of the capsules return function. Mareek stowed the ball back on his belt after Java had been recalled, confident that it would stay attached. he turned back to Brendan. "Actually sir, yes, there is," he said, sticking his hands in his pockets. "You wouldn't happen to know anything about the Porygon line, would you?" Bfroger6
Shun, having nothing better to do by herself while Shiro was resting, decided to try turning on the tv. Her favourite show was about to start too! She jumped off the couch and scooted carefully to the cupboard with the tv on it. One side of the remote was leaning over the edge above her. She sat still for a few seconds, rubbing her head while she tried to come up with a way to get to the remote which was out of her reach. Jumping to grab it wasn't a godd idea as it could fall down if she does something wrong and wake up her trainer. Maybe... Confusion? But she wasn't very good a telekinetics... "Ru..." She growled dissapointedly. Getting to the remote is going to be a daunting task indeed, but, as an independant and somewhat stubborn future knight, she wasn't going to give up so easily! And then it occured to her! What if she tried shooting some T-waves at the tv, the electricity should be enough to maybe turn it on! No, wait... Thunder Waves would probably be too much for a tv to handle... Maybe, Confusion then. She could try pushing the "On" button with her psychic abilities. The small Pokemon took a few steps backwards before readying herself. She extended her right hand infront of herself and closed her eyes as her horn began glowing a raging purple. "Ru!" Her sudden cry ehoed through the silent room as a blitz of purple light extended out of her hand and straight to the tv. She focused it on that one spot in the middle of the round button. She tried pushing, but she couldn't. Again... again! And then... Her eyes gleamed joyfully as the tv turned on. And right on time! The screen was showing a colorfully pink title of her favourite soap opera, Ashes to ashes, written in beautifully stylised letters and decorated with heart shaped Poke balls. The logo faded out as the opening song began playing, a generic and romantic sound backed up by spanish vocals which felt like balm for her ears. She quickly retreated back to the couch to get a better view of the screen. Luckily, Shiro was still sleeping blyssfully. Her loud cry and the tv plaing failed to wake him up. When she looked back up at the tv, the screen was occupied by a close-up shot of a tanned man with spiky black hair and a red-white hat on his head. It was Ash, the main character of the show. His muscular appearance and his unparalled swag easily made him into a chick magnet, and not even Shun could resist his temptatious voice. Ash was talking to his mother, a relatively fatty old woman wearing a green apron over a simple shirt. She was saying how she was really happy to see Ash back home. "Ru?" Shun wondered what had happened in the few episodes she missed. Did Ash go somewhere? Anyhow, after a few minutes of Ash's explanation of his travels which Shun missed out on, she appeared, a girl with an attractive body and orange hair tied in a spiky pigtail showed up on screen, holding something wrapped in cloth in her arms. She simply threw herself into Ash's embrace, crying out loudly in despair, shouting "Mi amor!". Ash asked her what was wrong and she held the cloth up so he could have a good look at it. The camera suddely zoomed closer to Ash's face in a failed attempt to invoke drama. His eyes widened as he took a look at the baby. The baby had black skin and spiky brown hair, with only lines as eyes. "Ruru!" It was clear to Shun whose baby that was. It was Brock's baby! Brock was a local lady's man, and Ash's main rival in the story. Love rival, that is. They usually fought over Misty's attention. But that dirty woman actually slept with Brock while Ash was gone, and they had a baby!?! Her horn's color became a violent red and her face turned blue out of anger. Ash, however, did not seem to notice that. He became extremely happy upon seeing the baby and began shouting "Mi ijo! Mi ijo!" And dancing happily in circles with Brock's baby in his embrace. Misty at first seemed flabagusted at the scene, but she soon realised how Ash's stupidity. She threw herself in his arms again, making him drop the baby on the floor. But nobody seemed to notice that happening. Instead, Ash and Misty started making out while Ash's mother returned to her daily routine of washing the dishes. That was when Shun has had enough. She cried in anger as she shot out a psychic wave at the tv, causing a short fuse, roasting it from the inside out. The screen with the two lovers flickered out into the dark, leaving the angered Shun alone in the silence again. "Shun..." It was Shiro's voice. The whole commotion must have woken him up. "Ruru!" Before she could do anything though, Shiro already sat up on the couch and saw the smoke going up out of the tv. "What happened here..." He turned to her and gazed at her with his sleepy eyes. Expeting a punishment, she bowed her head down and took cover under her arms. "Shun, did Henry do this?" The unexpected question struck her so suddenly she almost fell backwards over the couch. When she came back to her senses after a few short seconds of him staring at her, she nodded without hesitation. Shiro's look was at first confused. "I see... is he trying to get back at me for the trip?" Shiro yawned and got up. "Well... he knows how to fix those things, so we'll just tell him to do that, okay? I hope you aren't mad for missing today's episode of Ashes to ashes though..." She shook her head. "I see. Well, I'll make it up to you somehow anyways." She tried shaking her head again as there was no way she could care for such a show after what she had witnessed that day, but he had already went to the bathroom after giving her a reassuring smile. She did feel a bit wrong about doing that. Oh well... No harm was done and won't be done, or at least she hoped so. Commander
"I see that Litwick of yours is a curious one." Henry noticed the little creature hovering nearby. "Anyways, Orre is really only famous for their colosseums. Once in a while, big tournaments are held for huge sums of cash. I participated in one recently and won. That's how I was able to get in a school like this. Definitely more challenging than what most students here have to offer. Sorry, I was about to get carried away." Henry caught himself from rambling once again. He had a habit of teaching things to younger kids whenever he went into Justy's gym. "Orre is a dessert that is mostly filled with thugs and rogues. Not the best place to live, but it's home. It's pretty much on the opposite coast of Unova."
Zephyrus the Priestess
"Eh--" Raiza turned and, sure enough, there was Lucifer right over her shoulder. "Lucifer, I told you to hold our spot in line, pon! Oh, whatever... at least Rogue's got it covered," she sighed. "Yes, Lucifer is quite curious... He's always like that when there are new people around. Unlike me, he seems to enjoy crowds... I'm not too sure why. Pardon me for that outburst, it's just that the lines today are taking a while, pon." While Henry talked to Raiza about some place called Orre, Lucifer looked at him hungrily, little yellow eyes seemingly boring into his soul. He had been filled up full with the vitality of other students back in the line, but surely one more little bite wouldn't be too much to ask for. Reaching towards the boy with his own energy, he prepared to sample this savory-looking soul... any time now... wow, where the heck was it? The Litwick looked at Henry, confused and dismayed. It was either he couldn't tap into this guy's life force, or he didn't... have a soul. Which should be impossible, as everyone should have a soul... How strange this one was. Still wanting to try, however, the Litwick persevered in his search for dessert. "Ah, now I remember," Raiza said, evidently oblivious to her Litwick's antics. "I think that my parents had a client over once, a man from an arid, desert-like region, pon. Making small talk with my parents over the counter, he didn't have much nice things to say about where he came from, though he went on and on about these tournaments, like what you just mentioned... And some kind of strange phenomenon that involved Pokemon being vicious under the control of some crooks, pon."
Chevaleresse
Kage walked out of the dorms and toward the lunch room slowly. He was trying to keep a pace that Ryan could easily match on his crutches, but he was also just enjoying the outdoors. He'd spent plenty of time outdoors already, yes, but it was still nice to simply listen to the sounds of the wind in the trees, the birds that flitted about, even the rhythmic clicking of Ryan following him on his crutches. Kage stayed oddly quiet because of this.
Commander
"Must've been from the bad parts then. I'm sure he was a good client because he had to have quite a bit of money to travel here." Henry took his eyes off of Raiza and towards a frustrated Litwick. So the rumors were true. I'm a bit flattered. "Seems you line is going much faster than mine. You might want to get back over there before it's too late. I should introduce you to Kenny sometime though. I'm sure your Litwick would love to meet him." I think this Litwick and I are going to get along just fine.
DarkLight
Avis crowed happily as she was being petted by Professor Redwood, dropping her Eviolite back into the pile as a result. She sat down by the edge of the table to allow Professor Redwood to pet her more; she then closed her eyes, completely at bliss. After Professor Redwood explained the beneficial effects of the Eviolite, Danielle gazed at the small stones in astonishment. 'Wow, no wonder I have seen trainers with Eviolites on their Pokemon. It's so useful for frail Pokemon... Like Avis here!' Danielle thought as she glanced at her spoiled Murkrow. 'She would be able to take more attacks and, combined with Roost, she could be pretty annoying to defeat! And talking about annoying...' Danielle crossed her arms in thought, thinking about what can make Murkrows so disliked in communities (especially Laverre City). "As far as I know... A murder of Murkrows follows the orders of a Honchkrow no matter what, no?" she started slowly, drawing out what she could remember from prior knowledge and school. "So, I guess they usually do things in groups in order to succeed in their tasks. Because of that, they can come up with sophisticated plans to trick people, or other Pokemon, to give them what they want, which can be annoying? ...Wait, Professor, did its bad reputation come from its curiosity? Avis, here, loves looking at things that she has never seen before and she won't stop examining them until she understands what they do, even if it risks her life..." She walked over to the table and scratched the underside of Avis' beak. "Professor, I came from Laverre City in the Kalos region. The elders that lived there hated Murkrows... They tried to kill her once, when I was 10. They keep claiming that she is an "omen of death" and that "she spies on everyone and everything."" Her stomach growled as soon as Danielle finished that line. It was almost as if her stomach is telling her to stop. She blushed with embarrassment before continuing. "Excuse my stomach, Professor. I believe it had enough of my rambling. Haha... But, I would really like to listen to your explanation if it would help me understand more about my Murkrow, however, hungry I am." Geez, such a drag. "All right then, say bye now, Lucifer, pon. What are you so stressed about? Anyway, take care, all right, Henry, was it, pon?"
