From above, Avis had found Lana talking to Avis' enemy, even though Evan seemed to have calmed down from yesterday. Nevertheless, Avis still gave a glare to Evan before flying back to Danielle to report her findings.

-----------

"Murkrow!" Danielle heard as Avis landed back on her shoulder. "Did you find her, girl?" Avis nodded and pointed behind her and then at Danielle's Pokedex. Danielle nodded, getting a sense that Lana was following them from far behind, so her roommate is safe. "Thanks Avis~" Danielle cooed, stroking the black bird on her head. With that, she continued her way towards the cabins with a more casual gait; the coordinator also took her time to observe the forest and the trees around her.

Once the bus stopped, Miss gave Kage's headphones back, and went back to her trainer, vanishing inside her hair. Sissy grapped her backpack and went off the bus. She gazed in the view of the hotel with awe, while professor Cadmus was talking with the elder guy.

Once they started walking for their destinetion, she overheard a conversation two students had about a lake, making her to think that her next partner could live there.

Mareek walked silently along the path behind the others, Java floating by his side. "Make sure to keep an eye out for any bodies of water," He said, keeping his attention on the untrustworthy trail ahead. It wasn't so difficult if he paid attention to what was in-front of him and had the Porygon do all the sight seeing and observing for him. meanwhile he could pick up snippets of the conversation from behind him going on between Lana and a few others. Good to see she's getting better at it... seems I've been able to help her out. He thought to himself, Smiling like an idiot and not even realizing it. but what he did notice was the stray rock he tripped on a few seconds later. Java saved him from face planting with a quick, low power psybeam though, pushing him back up into balance and staring at him, rolling it's eyes.

"Thanks..." he said sheepishly, feeling like an idiot now rather than just smiling like one. Java simply turned and headed off again. I really need to stay focused... he scalded himself, resuming the walk. Get my head out of the clouds...

Ryan decided that he wanted to ask Professor Cadmus a question he thought was important. Ryan gave a small tug to the left and held out his left arm to signal his desire to go in that direction. Before Ryan had made it to Devin, he had noticed Danielle and decided to show off for his friend, signaling the Flygon to do a barrel roll above Danielle's head as Ryan stuck his tongue out and gave a wink to Danielle, before making it to Professor Cadmus. "So, when do we find out what groups we've been assigned to. Also, do you perhaps know a good place to find some Bagons? Your Salamence really impressed me when I first saw it and I decided that I would love to have one."

"Hmmm,I got it.I want a Salamence like Devin's one day so the best way to get one would be to...Catch a Bagon on this trip!"James thought as he walked over to Devin. As he walked there he saw Ryan come down next to Devin with Flygon and start talking to him about where to find a Bagon."Umm,not to intrude but could you tell me where to find a Bagon aswell.I was amazed at how strong yours was Sir,so i wanna see if i can train one myself"James said as he walked next to Ryan and Proffesor Cadmus scratching the back of his head while asking Devin his question

Kage happily took his headphones back and continued to listen to them, though he turned the volume down far enough that he could hear what was going on around him. Following the trail of students, he left the bus and awaited the next leg of their trip.

Azery and Tacos

Devin looked over when Ryan and his Flygon came over, followed by James. “I’ll announce the groups once everyone picked a room and dropped their luggage off. As for Bagon; they live in the rocky parts of the mountain. When you are in my group you’ll see them. I’ll split everyone into four groups and each group goes to a specific area to find certain Dragon types. I’m doing the rocky part with the most dangerous dragons, Phoebe will go to the lake and swamp-like area, Tyron does the base of the mountain and forest. The last group will go with Brendan and Rebecca for a special assignment. After a few hours each group will switch and follow a different teacher, but I’ll explain everything once we get to the accommodations.”

As the Flygon zoomed over Danielle's head, she looked up and waved at Ryan, laughing out loud as the Flygon did a barrel roll before it headed to Devin. Avis huffed indignantly after the two left; she could do a better barrel roll than that Flygon! She is, after all, a bird.

"Is somebody jealous?" Danielle teased her Murkrow. Avis glanced at her master and threw her head up in the air, which elicited a soft chuckle from Danielle. The human girl then stroked Avis on the wing. "Silly Avis, you know you have a special place in my heart no matter what you do, so why be jealous over such a small thing?" Avis gave a cry of pleasure at the statement. Danielle shook her head at Avis' silliness; while it is true that there are better flying type Pokemon out there, Danielle never thought about replacing Avis. Evolution or not, that Murkrow has earned her keep despite her mischievous behavior. Danielle continued along the dirt path, kicking a small stone in front of her to keep herself entertained. Eventually, the stone managed to hit Claude's shoe. "Oops, sorry Claude!" Danielle apologized as she caught up to him.

Maybe it'd be easier if she hung back. After all, maybe Lana hadn't gotten out of the bus yet. It's not like we're really close, but hey, I might as well say hi. I mean, we were kinda playmates as kids.

There was an exclamation of surprise and an apology. Raiza turned to see her neighbor bumping into a guy away from the majority of the group. Bingo.

When she went over to approach Lana, her Litwick beat her to the punch and leapt out of his Pokeball. "Lucifeeeeeerrrrr, pon," she cried out, deadpan, as she chased her ecstatic Pokemon.

"Wick, wick?" went a certain Ghost-Fire type, popping up from behind Lana.

Lana turned around when she heard a Litwick behind her. It took her a moment before she realized she knew the little ghost type. “Aren’t you Raiza’s Pokémon?” she asked.

A few miles from where the students currently were a group of hooded men was walking through the forest. They were followed by a Skarmory hopping over plants and roots while carrying a bag on its back.

“What’s with the Skarmory?” one of them asked.

“It just arrived. We’re going to use it as a way to ‘encourage’ our future contact,” the man walking last answered.

“A waste if you ask me,” a third grunted. “It got stolen from a Breeder and is one of the more powerful Pokémon we managed to snatch. It’s trained well and even listens to us even though it doesn’t have a Pokéball.”

“That’s the way we work. If we give something useless we’ll receive something useless so stop complaining.” It was the man walking last that responded again. By his tone he seemed to be the one in charge. “By the way, you two,” he addressed the two walking in front. “Care to explain the situation?”

All four men stopped walking. “We managed to ‘encourage’ the Donphan’s. It shouldn’t be a problem to let them cause some more havoc so we can use them as a cover for our mission.” It was the same man that asked about the Skarmory earlier.

The leader nodded. “Very well, as you all know we’re here to contact one of the students, but plans changed. I received a last minute change. There is another student we’re going to approach under a disguise.” He handed out a picture to the two agents that encouraged the Donphan’s. “I’ll give more information later but keep an eye on that one. Our intel also foresaw a possible complication. There is a student named Mareek and this is his picture,” he said. This time he showed it to the entire group. “Avoid contact at any cost.”

“Why?” this time it was the fourth person to speak up in a high voice.

The leader glared at the agent for a moment. He was sure he was dealing with a group of guys. He checked both of their tags and this one had a weird name but male looks, but the voice just didn’t fit. “We don’t know for sure. The only thing they said is that he’s certain to go after us and blow our cover. That’s all.”

The other three nodded and started walking again.

To prove that he was, Lucifer made what looked like mist, slightly tinged with purple, small enough in size to be harmless even if inhaled, puff out from the wick on top of his head. It was a trick he knew how to do since birth.

"There you are, pon!" cried out the Litwick's trainer, jogging up to Lana as though on cue. "So I see you found Lana for me? Good boy, pon." Raiza then turned to the girl she was looking for, after catching her breath. "How's it been going? I haven't seen you since the first day," she said, with a slight grin, as Lucifer hovered into his Trainer's arms, staring at Lana, then at the boy next to them.

“Raiza!” Lana said surprised. “I’m fine and what about you? I’ve been wondering if you were here or not, but I didn’t see you in the Breeder Program. My parents said you would be in it so I thought you went to another region or something.”

Evan didn’t say a word but stared at the Litwick. There was something about the Ghost type that gave him the chills.

((Since they grew up together she’s already used to Raiza and won’t by shy around her. She’s totally oblivious she didn’t introduce Evan though.))

And Lucifer stared back, undeniably thinking about souls, souls, tasty, tasty souls... maybe just a little bite wouldn't hurt.

"Ah, yeah, about that, pon, I changed the form so that I was put into the Trainer program," she said, with a wider grin. It seemed that she was more readily expressive around her long-time childhood playmate. "Ehh... you know how it is for me. Breeders are cool, but I really feel more like a Trainer, myself, pon. Oh hey, what about you? Didn't you want to take over your parents' business?" When she turned, her eye fell upon the boy that Lana was talking to earlier. Remembering what Slade said, she poked her Litwick, snapping him out of his soul-devouring trance. "Oi. Sorry, I think I butt in and stole you away from your friend here, Lana," she said in apology, inclining her head a bit in a little bow.

Wait a minute, what? Henry was surprised Lana and Raiza knew each other. He overheard part of the conversation when trying to get over to Lana. The two didn't really seem like the ones who'd talk to each other especially with that Litwick hanging around. I guess I shouldn't judge. Henry was about to move when he suddenly lost his balance. He tried using his cane to stop from falling only to realize it was strapped to his backpack. Gypsy saved him by using confusion to halt him for a second. Henry used this to swing his good foot out to regain his balance. He quickly pulled the walking stick out after that incident.

"You know, I probably could try the Pokedex. I never used that thing so I tend to forget about it." Henry pulled out the device and read the bio on Drilburs. "Looks like I'll be looking for it in caves or gardens it seems. Of course, the trouble is going to get it to come up above ground. Guess I'll have time to think about it though." Henry then continued following the bigger group hoping no one saw that little scene he made.

“It’s alright,” Evan said. “I just asked information about ground types. I’ll leave you to your little reunion.” He walked off and passed a stumbling Henry. He was pretty sure he wouldn’t go for a water type just in case Eevee decided to become a Vaporeon, but catching a Turtwig was an interesting idea.

“That’s Evan. He never really talks much even though he isn’t shy around people like I am…” Lana said. “And yes, I still want to take over the Breeding Facility, but first I want to travel around a little after graduating.”

*****************

After a long walk on the sandy path, careful not to trip over lose rocks, the students felt they were starting to climb a little. The trees on both sides were spread thinner and soon they reached some kind of a plateau. Aside from 3 wooden cottages, 2 big ones and a smaller one, there was nothing but sand and rocks. The trees were a few feet away and it looked like the plateau lay next to a dusty route accessible by car and was only separated by a short wooden fence and a sign. There weren’t any tracks visible, but a man stood next to the door of the small cottage.

“Alright, everyone gather up!” Devin spoke up when the man walked over. He greeted Devin the same way as Roman did. The two whispered something against each other before turning their attention to the students. “This is Alastair. He’s Roman’s son and our second Dragon Breeding expert!” he introduced his friend. The man shared the same built as his father. Strong arms with visible burn marks, fit, 5’7” which made him a little taller than Roman. He had short black hair and shared the same blue eyes as his father. He wore combat boots, black pants and a green sleeveless shirt. Father and son were obviously prepared for a long walk through the Boulder Hills.

“Before I let you all go to your rooms I’ll inform you how this trip is going to be. In 30 minutes we’ll leave in 4 different groups headed to 4 different areas. After a few hours we gather here again and your group leaves with a different teacher. Tomorrow we’ll repeat the same action twice, so you’ve visited all 4 areas, and on the third day I’ll pair each and every one of you up for a battle.” Devin paused for a second and looked at the students in front of him. He then nodded to Alastair.

The young Dragon Breeder spoke up. “Hello everyone, I’m Alastair Connor and I’ll be one of your guides during this excursion. I’m a breeder and know a lot about these parts so if you have a question just ask me,” he said in a friendly tone. “As you can see we are close to a road. While it isn’t used much I ask you all to be careful. You didn’t use it because it’s impossible by bus but every now and then tourists and local rangers use it. Be careful just in general because there are many wild Pokémon around and some of them are territorial or don’t like humans. Some of you may have heard already but there is a herd of Donphan causing ruckus. Apparently two alpha males are battling it out to take the lead. They are a few miles from here but this place falls in their territory as well. Professor Cadmus, my father and I are familiar with the territory and Pokémon so you’ll be safe with us.” He took a step back and nodded to Devin to signal he was done.

“Thank you Alastair,” Devin said. “Now, the small cottage behind me is where the teachers will be staying. One of us will always be around to keep an eye out even during the night so if there’s a problem come find us there. As for the girls; the cottage to your right is yours. All rooms are equal. 4 people can share a room as there are 2 bunk beds in each. There isn’t anything else in there since the showers and bathroom are located at the end. The rooms for the boys are the same in the cottage to your left.” Devin paused for a moment.

“Before you all go and dive in to claim a room I have one last announcement. Since we’ll be leaving in thirty minutes I’m already going to announce the groups. After that you can pick a room and prepare accordingly.” He grabbed a paper out of his pocket and held it in front of him.

“The first group will go with me. We’re going into the rocky part so prepare some decent shoes. We’ll go into Salamence, Hydreigon, Tyrantrum and Haxorus territory. Most of them are known to have a bit of a temper and Haxorus, as you all know by now, are very territorial. I will ask everyone to be extra careful when you are with me.” He looked at Ryan who already broke his ankle because of a certain species. “The following names will be group one for the rest of these days,” he started to read the names. “Advent Shiro, Everhart Lana … Kafkin Slade … Marson Raiza … Tsukihashi Kageharu, …”

When he was done reading the names he looked back at the student group. “All of you that I just mentioned can already go claim a room and prepare.”

Devin waited until a fourth of the group left and moved on. “The next group will start with Professor Silva and Alastair. They will go back a little to the base of the mountains. South-East of here is an entire sandy area where you will study Druddigon, Flygon and Garchomp. I suggest you all wear some decent shoes as well. Maybe travel a little lighter based on clothes because that area is a little warmer. You’ll see why when you get there. This group includes; Baldwin Henry, Chastain Danielle … Reeves Evan …” He looked up from his paper again. “You can all go pick a room and prepare!”

He waited again until only half of the students were left. “Third group will go with Professor Arlyn and Roman. You’ll all be going into a swampy area and a lake so prepare accordingly. The following students are in group 3; Beetle Alvin … Johnson Ryan … McLake Sissy … Parkhurst Robert …”

After the students of group three went to prepare, Devin continued: “The last group is with Brendan and Rebecca. You’ll be going to the safest place to see Noivern and Altaria. It’s close to a thick forest with caves where a lot of them are present. Since they aren’t dangerous and some of you might’ve already studied them in the Academy Forest, there will be a special assignment. We’re going to do a little competition based on your creativity. Whoever can make the best and most unique picture of a wild Pokémon wins a prize. I’m keeping the prize a secret, but Brendan and Rebecca have a lot of cameras with them. Of course if you want to do something else it’s entirely up to you. Two years ago we had someone who made a Magikarp out of wood so be as creative as you can get.” He paused for a second. “I’ll read the names for this group just in case. If you haven’t heard your name come ask me and we’ll take a look. Burlinski Kyle … Holmes Kenny … James Nerfion … Robertson Jacob … Sisto Mareek …”

After he was done he put the paper away. “One last thing; while group four has a lot of freedom, don’t go too far. You don’t want to get lost at night.”

((Rooms are as I described really fast. Two bunk beds at each side of the room, a small window and a small wardrobe for all four. Really basic stuff but you don't need anything else.))

Ryan dispatched himself from the Flygon, fetching his bags and crutches from Professor Cadmus. After hearing his group placement, Ryan sighed in disappointment. Not only was his his groups full of strangers, except Robert, but he wasn't even gonna be in the area he had so desired. Ryan hobbled over to a room in the boy's cabin, disappointed that his ankle kept him from the top bunk. He threw his bags onto the bed and sat on it, looking outside at the scenery. It sure was nice. He looked out towards a mountain and saw what looked like the silhouette of a Salamence soaring among the peak.

After hearing Devin's speech about the trips, along with being told he was in group three, Robert went off towards the cabins they'd be staying at and picked his bunk at random, not really paying attention to anyone else that would or wouldn't have already been there, subconcious knowing that he wouldn't be the fifth person to pick this room, as well as a loose thought hoping that this room wouldn't be complete strangers. For a brief moment, he thought about the groups and realized how... Fortunate he was to have met Ryan already. "Well, atleast I know someone in the group. That'll make introductions easier."

(I'll leave Robert's temporary roommates up to anyone who wants his interaction.)

Claude winced when he heard his name called out, Arceus did he hate it. Despite this, he was intrigued by this picture task. His mind began whirring with ideas of what he could do and find, especially with such beautiful pokemon as Altaria. He looked around at his new roomates for the next few days. "Right, c'mon guys, let's go unpack so we can get gone!" He declared, as he skipped off to his room to unpack.

Since Slade doesn't or or barely knows anyone that's male in his group he just decided to go right towards the cabin right away. He kinda knew both Lana and Raiza but they're both still acquaintances. Same can be said with Shiro but he doesn't know anything about the others. He let out a big sigh as he walked towards to men's cabin ready to choose his room.

Hearing her name, Sissy started walking towards the girls cottage. Her thought went straight to the other people that were on the same group. Three boys, one girl. I hope nothing happens like previously on the bus. Kage may did it on accident, but what if any of these boys do it on purpose?

Her thought vanished once she reached the cottage's entrance. She entered the cottage and opened the first door she found in front of her. She sat on the bed near her without giving any attention to if there were another girls in the room.

"Art, eh?" Mareek said as he walked off towards the Boys Cabin. "Well, I'm not much of a sketch artist or a painter... but I can carve well enough. And It shouldn't be that much of a challenge with Erce's help." Java rolled his eyes as he floated behind his trainer, still a bit jealous of the bond between the boy and the scyther. His bit of sulking was interrupted when Mareek asked him a question, however. "Java, what do you think would be a good subject to carve for this?"

Well, he was at least acknowledging some of the Porygon's intellectual worth... that was good enough for now, Java guessed. He dissapeared from the air, venturing inside Mareek's pokedex as he often did, beginning his search for the perfect subject. Something Beautiful yet powerful would be suitable... and like Star Trek, the search had begun.

While Java was off choosing something, Mareek entered the cabin and walked into a still unoccupied room, throwing his bag down on an empty bunk and sitting down beside it on the mattress as he began to rummage through the contents. He had stocked up on quite a few things over the last few weeks just for this excursion, making sure to budget out his BP between ingredients for meals and Supplies such as Pokeballs and potions.

"Hopefully this should be enough," he said as he took out five Pokeballs from one of the bags pockets, about a sixth of what he had bought and stashed over time. Luckily they were all in their minimized form and easily fit into the inner pockets of his jacket. He had already decided that he was going to allocate himself only a certain amount of capsules to have for use during these three days; and the limit he couldn't exceed in total at the end was twenty... this left fifth-teen for him to use during the next two days of the trip. He zipped the bag back up, taking out his dex and looking down at the screen, asking a single question.

"Anything yet?"

Java's reply came back after a few seconds. Still Looking...

Shiro, Shiro... The name didn't quite ring a bell. The other three though, she knew. Turning to Lana, she asked, "Who's this... Shiro, pon? Also, would you like the top or bottom bunk?" Lucifer shifted a bit in his Trainer's arms, trying to get comfortable. In all honesty he didn't want to sit through packing... so he phased through his Trainer and decided to follow the ketchup-haired boy into the men's cottage. "O-Oi-- Lucifer--" Raiza started. Then she waved it off. "Ah, forget it, pon... he'll be back later."

'A sandy area, huh? Well, that's new.' Danielle proceeded to walk to her girl's cottage, thinking about what she will have to bring with her. 'Since Professor Cadmus said it'll be warm, I'm probably going to need sunglasses... A water bottle or two... Probably a hair band...' Well within her thoughts, Danielle walked straight into the first open door and threw her backpack onto the bed opposite of Sissy's. It was only when she sat down that she noticed the other girl on the opposite side of the room. "Oh, sorry for barging in~ Do you mind if I took this bed?" Danielle asked politely as she rummaged through her belongings for the aforementioned things. Once she found a suitable outfit for the desert, Danielle took her clothes and headed for a bathroom to change. "Avis, can you look after my stuff? I'll be right back." Avis crowed and sat on the handle of her luggage bag as Danielle went off. The Murkrow took in her room for the next three days before finally turning her attention towards Sissy; Avis let out a greeting towards Sissy, curiously observing the new girl.

"A thick forest huh, this'll be an interesting treat for use"James thought as he saw Kyle skip off to his own room."Well, better get my stuff into my room"James said as he walked the male's cottage.Walking into the cottage,he saw that it was quite large and well looked after with everything being well cleaned except...yeah that area. After looking around a bit James wanted to lie down for a bit walked into 1 of the rooms. As he walked in,he noticed Mareek sitting on one of the beds with his Porygon floating next to him.Putting his bag down under the other bed,James took out his Sketchbook and Camera and looked through them, for a decent Picture of an Onix.
