"Huh?" Danielle was startled when Alastair was suddenly by her side with Avis by his side. 'Avis...' Danielle forced a small smile before shaking her head. "Um... I-It's nothing, really... Avis just worries about me too much..." Avis only gave her a disapproving look. She gave a sigh, there is no hiding it from that bird. "It...It's mostly school drama, you know? Crushes, rivalries and potential difficulties..." She glanced at Henry and Kristen for a split second, hoping she got her point across. "But it's mostly... I just... miss a special person... But I realized that he doesn't... feel that way and it just hurts... That's all." she shrugged as if to indicate that it's nothing serious. Danielle picked up Avis and began petting her head, which elicited a happy cry from the Murkrow. "It's strange; I am able to get anyone's attention without realizing it, even this silly Murkrow who became my first partner, but I just can't get that one person to notice me..." Realizing that she was going on a rambling about her love life, she blushed a little and immediately dropped her eyes to Avis. "S-Sorry about that! You must find me foolish for worrying over such things..."

"I guess so, maybe." Slade respond "Well, I guess we'll both find out eventually." Slade said with a smile. "So have you decided on what pokemon you're getting yet?" He asked changing the subject to something less awkward.

A couple of minutes have passed when suddenly something drew the Misdreavus attention. The pokemon from the image was coming out from the water, not far from where her trainer was. In seconds, she flew back at Sissy, pointing the direction ahaid.

"You found it? Good job Miss. Now let's get it." Sissy said and started running towards the direction, her pokemon has shown. Upon reaching the place, the Slowpoke get aware of her existance and started walking again towards the lake.

"No, no. You are not gonna get away this time." Sissy said, looking at it. "Miss, use Mean look to stop it from escaping." The Misdreavus opened her eyes wide, while her body was flashing black, making a dark purple aura surrounding both her and the defending pokemon. The Slowpoke unable to go into the water, turned its attention towards the ghost pokemon. It then opened its mouth with water coming out from it.

"Miss, avoid its water gun and use confuse ray." The Misdreavus, elegantly avoided the water gun, and fired some rays against the Slowpoke.Once the rays hitted their target, the Slowpoke started misstepping giving out water guns in every direction.

"Well, it didn't worked as I had planned. Nevermind then, Miss sneak from behind it and use Astonish." The Misdreavus dissapeared and appeared behind the Slowpoke, in seconds. It then opened its mouth, making a horrible sound, releasing multiple red waves of energy that hit the Slowpoke's ears. The Slowpoke ,misstepped once again and fell down in front of Misdreavus.

"Good job Miss. Now lets get it." The young coordinator said and grapped one empty pokeball from her belt. She pushed the button to enlarge it and threw it at the wild Slowpoke. The ball hit the Slowpoke, making it to take inside the wild pokemon. A few seconds had passed and the ball stopped shaking.

Sissy grapped the pokeball from the ground and pressed the button to release the Slowpoke. "Welcome to our team buddy. I'm Sissy and this little one is Miss." She smiled at the Slowpoke. The water pokemon gave an empty look and started yawning.

Sissy grapped the pokedex from her pocket and started walking to the place where the professors where, searching information about her newly caught pokemon.

Group 1 (Bforger, Murdoc, Zephyr, EXLink)

“You need some help?” Devin asked after watching Kage for a while. He pressed the button and the Pokédex started reading the information about Tyrunt out loud. “I’m impressed the way you caught it, but if you need help or talk to someone about anything you can come to me. Unfortunately this isn’t the place or time to have this conversation as we have to move along.” He gave Kage one last glance before returning to the rest of the students. He hoped Kage would open up to him without feeling pressured.

“Alright let’s move along. We have a short walk ahead of us before we reach Haxorus and Hydreigon.” The one big advantage this place had over any other was that the Dragons lived rather closely by each other thanks to the Wild Breeding Program.

After a few minutes they reached another fork. One path went down and lead to Haxorus territory and Hydreigon wasn’t far away. The other one went up a while before reaching Salamence. Devin choose the first, another one of those dusty paths, and after they reached the forest again he suddenly stopped. A very big and old oak was directly on their right side. It didn’t take long before some Haxorus showed up. Devin walked over and patted an old looking Haxorus. The dragon was covered in scars and appeared to be the leader of the group. Devin whispered something and the old Haxorus nodded

“It’s safe to get to know them. I’ve known their leader for a long time. He knows we mean them no harm and will accept us in his territory. Please be respectful and don’t destroy anything.”

If the students looked around they could see a lot of deep cuts in trees and rocks. All of them were made by powerful Haxorus tusks.

“Y-y-you… you’re g-gay!?” Sophia asked. “Why d-didn’t…? I thought… you and me…” tears welled up in her eyes. “I can’t do this!” she turned around and ran away crying.

"No! Sofia, wait!" Ryan hopped onto the Flygon, signaling it to fly after Sofia. Flygon sped past Sofia, landing in front of her. Ryan stared her down in the eyes, not looking away until he spoke his mind. "Look, I'm not exactly... gay. I'm bisexual. Yes, I still like girls, no I don't have a girlfriend. Yes, I have a boyfriend. Yes that was a heart. But it was simply Glacien trying to show off. It was completely unintentional. Do I think you're a great a girl? Hell yes! Will we work out? Probably not. I need you to listen, ok? This is a logic I've lived by for my whole life. And I think you need to think about it too. What is the point in loving someone who isn't going to love you back. It just leads to heartbreak. I still want us to be friends, ok? I really appreciate that you like me, but I can't do that to my boyfriend. You're gorgeous, Sofia. You deserve more than a person like me anyway. And I am so sorry I lead you on. Just please, talk to me. I don't want this to be the last time I ever see you." Ryan sighed, another tear coming down his face. "Please."

Henry hesitated for a moment before responding to that order. "As much as I would love to act right now, it seems you beat me to the punch already. She must've taken something you said to heart. Once she's away from everybody, I'll make my move." He thought for a minute before figuring what was going on. He couldn't help but grin. "So that's why you mentioned Slade before. Please tell me you're not into that kid too. He's worse than me." Henry tried holding back the laughs. "Sorry, but it's hilarious trying to picture those two together. That also explains why Jacob was acting so strange yesterday. You people make this too easy on me."

Henry moved away from Kristen and into an area with people he barely knew. A large grind could be seen on his face as he occasionally glanced at Danielle. I feel sorry for anyone who has feelings for you. Slade...of all people. What do you see in him?

“Don’t! Just don’t!” Sofia said. Her heart was broken and she didn’t feel like having this conversation now. It didn’t help he called her gorgeous either. It just sounded empty to her.

She finally managed to run away and in her haste knocked over a boy covered in gooey stuff and a girl looking at her Pokédex.

Upon reaching the others, Sissy has finally got all the information she wanted for her new pokemon. The only thing she was missing now, was a name. She raised her head and saw next to her the guy with the Goodra from before. He was all covered with that gooey thing, but much more than when she saw him earlier.

"You need a bath. And some new clothes too." Sissy said with her look once again into the pokedex.

A couple of minutes passed and a girl knocked over both her and the boy. Sissy raised her head once again to see what's going on. She could see a girl full of sweat next to her. "Are you okey? Do you need any help? Why are you in such a hurry anyway?" Sissy examined the girl but nothing suspicious was with her. Does something chase her? She turned her face behind the girl to check if anything was there, but nothing could be seen.

Ryan slid off the Flygon and crawled over to a tree, sliding his back down onto the bark of the tree. His ankle ached and so dis his head. Maybe I'm better off just not talking to people. All I do is hurt people's feelings. Ryan held his head in his hands. Maybe I'm better off just staying here in the swamp. That way I can't offend anybody.

Glacien noticed that Ryan had suddenly become incredibly sad. He waddled over to him, nuzzling himself up next to Ryan's hips. This was my fault wasn't it. If I hadn't showed off Ryan wouldn't be stuck in this incident. Glacien tried to give Ryan a goofy grin to cheer him up, but he was too busy holding his head in his hands.

Feroces saw that Glacien was moving towards Ryan, and decided to move over with him. Feroces rubbed his head up against Ryan's shoulder and purred. Why is he always so depressed? I've never seen him out of a bad move.

Ryan saw that his pokemon were gathering around him, but refused to leave his depressed state. These two are the only one's who'll stick by me, but they don't even have a choice.

The Flygon noticed Ryan's sudden mood and sat there, unsure as to how he should approach the boy.

On the way back from the lake, Goomy had actually been helping Robert out with the goop he was thuroughly covered in using a soft Bubble. Of course, it was more just to have Robert more 'willing' to get move hugs later. Finally getting back from the Goodra's area, Robert had just gotten past the last few trees between him and the lake when he was pushed down by a girl that was running with tears in her eyes. "Hey, what the h-" Robert was suprised, but was cut off since the way he was pushed had his face in the mud. The Goomy he had in hand had luckily landed to his right, and Kiai did his best to help Robert up. Of course, around the time Robert got out of the surprised state, he had heard Sissy's bath comment. Wasn't really his day, but that wasn't important when he shifted his focus. "Does anyone mind telling me what's going on?"

This guy needs to be more careful. Now he is covered with both mud and that gooey thing. A small laugh came out once Sissy saw Robert.

"Slowpoke wash him off with Water Gun. Miss head at the direction where that girl was coming to see if anything keeps on chasing her." Sissy said looking at her pokemon. The Misdreavus dissapeared from everyones eyes, while the Slowpoke started puring water at Robert.

"I can dry you too, if you want. But it can be risky." Sissy smiled at him. "As for the explanations, I want some too. It's kind of rude to bump into people like this and keep silent after."

Robert got up, pretty happy for the Water Gun he just recieved. "Thank you. And if your cautious about the drying, I'm fine with just air drying." With a bit of a goofy smile on his face, he turned his head towards where the girl had ran. "So you don't know anything either about the girl either. Well, we could pretty easily cross off fear, since she probably wouldn't be crying and running, as well as how you would've probably heard something if it was dangerous." While Robert was still pondering why this happened, Riolu was cleaning itself with the water nearby while Goomy was relaxing in the doused-mud.

It was like a heavy burden had been lifted off of Shiro's chest the moment Slad changed the subject. He couldn't help but grin at that.

"Actually, I wasn't planning to catch anything..." He answered Slade's question, just when the professor suddenly signaled it was time to go.

They went to the Haxorus habitat. "Then... Were you planning on catching anything?" Shiro asked Slade during the walk through the forest, before they reached their destination.

DarkLight and Commander

“You’re nothing but talk until proven otherwise!” Kristen said before Henry was out of hearing distance. “And not that’s in any of your business, but no, I don’t like Slade. Someone else caught my eye…” At that moment her attention was drawn to some ruckus by the tree line, not far from Alastair and Danielle who were talking.

“It’s not foolish at all,” Alastair said. “You might not believe this but I used to be young too. Light years ago that is,” he chuckled in an attempt to lighten the mood. His eyes followed the Danielle glance and he saw Henry walking away from Kristen. He figured the girl had something to do with the school drama and sighed. “You know what? I’ll tell you a story from my youth!” he took a seat next to Danielle. He patted Avis and looked up in the sky. “Professor Cadmus and I grew up together. We were both into Dragon types and were well known around town. We battled each other a lot and drew a lot of attention. People used to call our battles the best ones they saw at tournaments, carnivals or just somewhere on a battlefield. “He smiled when recalling his memories. “Not to brag but I could held my own against him. Until he suddenly tapped into his full potential and left everyone in his dust… but anyway, we almost never lost. We were well known amongst people we battled or trainer that started their journey the same time as us. One of them was a girl I had a crush on. She was rather strong and specialized in Electric types. We didn’t travel together with her but always knew where she was. Even in foreign regions we battled her a lot. I admired her, even had a crush on her, but she never noticed.” He paused for a moment, still smiling. “She told me later she never realized it. In fact she found me super weird. Every time she battled me I did something strange. In the beginning I went full power to show her my strength and try to impress her and when that didn’t work I lost on purpose to get her attention and give her compliments. Many awkward moments were created because of that believe me!” he laughed. “My point is; I never had the guts to tell her and she never realized. Before you give up, don’t you think you own it to yourself to confess? Maybe he doesn’t realize it or maybe he doesn’t dare to confess either. I know it can be scary and your nerves will take over but at least that way you know. If it turns out for the worst, that means the guy has no taste, and that there is someone else for you who will return your feelings and appreciate who you are.” He gave Danielle a pat on her knee before standing up. “That’s the advice this old man would give you. And the girl from the story turned out into a beautiful woman who kicks my ass without me losing on purpose. Ah well, what one can expect from an Elite Four member…” He was about to leave with his thoughts when his attention was drawn towards some noise, not far from them.

Tyron, unusually quiet, was walking around a proud looking Garchomp. He was inspecting every inch of it while his Mienshao, who was always out her Pokéball, was keeping an eye out. “Ohoho! You look like a powerhouse!” Tyron’s voice reached almost everyone around him. “I’m interested but there’s something… I don’t know.” He was still studying the Garchomp and started circling around. “Mhm not quite the same as a fighting type or a sturdy steel type…” The dragon snorted at that comment.

Danielle couldn't help but smile at Alastair as he told his story. It was reassuring to know that wasn't alone in this type of situation, and telling stories and singing always made her feel better. "Thank you, sir. It might, as you called it, light years ago, but your advice transcends time itself. I... think I know what I need to do now." 'If Jacob could handle it, then so can I.' Her spirit is lifted once again when she heard the noise coming from nearby. She quickly got up and asked, "What was what?"

Avis now happily took her place on Danielle's shoulder. 'Thank goodness the big guy is around. Master seems to be more or less back to normal for now. But still...' Avis turned back to glance at the departing Henry and a frustrated ginger. 'Two against one is annoying no matter how you put it...'

"I can't help with air drying. But with shock drying." Sissy smiled back at Robert. "I'm Sissy by the way. Nice to meet you. The one that washed you is Slowpoke." She turned her face at the Slowpoke. "I caught him some minutes ago, and we still search for the nick." The Slowpoke gave out a yawn, and fired a small water gun at the Riolu that was trying to clean up. "And that one that's coming is Miss." She pointed at the Misdreavus that coming towards them. "Did you find anything suspicious Miss?" The Misdreavus nodded a no, and sat on top of her trainer's head.

"I have, and hopefully I'll find one." Slade said scratching the back of his head. "If you want to know I was planning on getting a Frokie line pokemon, you know one of the starters from Kalos." Slade said showing Shiro his pokedex with Frokie on it.

"Oh, Shock drying? Eheh, I think I'm fine with wet clothes, Thanks for the offer though." Robert tried his best to sound considerate, but he knew full well that if his Elekid put quite a shock in just from static, he didn't want some intentional shock no matter how effective it would work. "Oh, and nice to meet you Sissy, my name's Robert. The Riolu washing off over there is Kiai, and-" turning to look at the Goomy, he found she was sloshing around in the fresh mud, yet the slime seemed to keep her from looking as dirty as you'd expect. "And that Goomy happily sloshing around is my own catch, though I haven't got a name for her either."

"Damn it..." Mareek snarled in japanese as he rushed to Erce's side, the swellow flying away over head. He glared at the bird as it disappeared from sight beyond the trees. "You had better pray Our paths don't cross again during these next two days, you finely feathered little bitch... cause I will end you if they do." he turned his attention back to Erce, his anger still running high as he shoved his hand into one of the pockets of his bag where he had stashed some medicine he'd bought. She was out cold, taken down with a single hit.

"Erce," he said, producing a Revive from the bag. The thing had been a bit pricey in the school shop, but now he was glad as ever that he had sprung for three of them weeks earlier. "Eat this."

She accepted the medicine as the boy put it up to her mouth, biting down and swallowing. A few moments later she opened her eyes, sitting up and glancing around, ready to fight whoever the hell had knocked her out like that.

"It's over..." Mareek said, sighing. He stood and looked up at the vacated nest high in the tree above, glancing to the Cubone watching nearby.

"It won't be too long before you get your bone back, little guy. Erce, fly up and knock that Bitch's nest out of the tree. Java, you be prepared to use Psybeam to catch the Statue and the Bone."

The two nodded simply at the orders, Erce taking off and soon taking a swing at the bunch of threaded grass and twigs when she had gotten high enough, sending the thing toppling towards the forest floor. Java did his part and caught the two items before they could come to any damage from the landing, however. The nest wasn't so lucky though... but that's what Mareek had intended anyway.

"She'll probably be back," he said, taking the Cubone's trinket from where Java held it with Psybeam. "But she'll have to really start over from scratch. Maybe that'll teach her not to rob the weak and the helpless." he walked over to the Orphan, kneeling down and presenting the bone, holding it out before him.

"Here, it's yours again. Go on, take it."

The cubone simply stared at him for a moment, awe struck by the actions he had just witnessed... that big bad Swellow, up in the tree, completely unreachable to him... and this big guy right here and his two friends had driven her out and given him his precious bone back... Why, it was just so...so...

The Cubone visibly began to cry once again, but this time out of pure joy rather than frustration or despair. He gratefully took the offered Bone from the Trainer, jumping up and down in his happiness at finally having it back.

"Glad to see you're happy," Mareek smiled warmly, his anger at the Swellow beginning to recede little by little. He got up and turned back to Erce and Java, picking up the Statue they had made and beginning to walk away. "Come on, let's go you two." With that the Porygon and Sycther began to follow behind their trainer.

Cubone stopped it's dance of joy when it noticed the boy and his team leaving, running to catch up to him, as to not be left behind in the march. After a few more meters or so, Erce finally nodged Mareek's shoulder, nodding her head back at the little tagalong

"What...oh..." he said, stopping in his tracks. "He's uh...he's following us. well...this is...unexpected." A electronic ping rang out from his pokedex as Java sent a message to him. he pulled it out, gazing at the screen.

Wynaut take it with us? Covers rock types just as well as a water type could. And I Can't locate any Azumaril anywhere nearby...

"Alright..." he sighed, putting the device away. Java did have a point it being able to handle rock types just fine, which is really what he was looking for at the end of the day... that, and he couldn't just leave the little guy here, now that he contemplated it. The thing was alone, no friends and no one to turn to. And he honestly could sympathize with it on a level; he too had gone through the lost of a parent... it fact, this whole situation was...cruelly ironic in a way. Cubone would actually fit his personality just fine, though he struggled to actually admit that, not wanting to dwell on such matters as his own true loneliness and self imposed isolationism at the moment.

But just because he wasn't willing to think about it right now, didn't mean that he wouldn't, nor that it was any less true. He may well have always acted as if Aloofness had been just fine for him, that he preferred being not being around other people, that he disliked company... but it was all a lie deep down inside. Not to get anything wrong now; he was indeed a guy who simply needed his own solitude and time to himself often, it was simply his nature as a person. But the idea that he had Disliked other people, the way he always went out of his way to try to actively having to be around them...Why always do everything he could to keep people at an arm's length except for a select few, and even then not ever really open up to them? why? why did he do this? It only ever caused him more grief in the end, so why persist in it like this? no matter how many times he asked himself... the question always went without answer.

"Cu?" the Cubone said, noticing a few tears trailing down the Trainers face. Erce and Java were both perplexed as to what was wrong as well.

"Huh? oh...I- It's nothing..." he lied through his teeth, realizing he was crying a little. "Don't worry about me. Anyway, you wanna come with us, Cubone?"

Still a bit suspicious that something was wrong with the trainer, The Cubone nevertheless nodded it's head eagerly, wondering at the same time what could cause the sheer sadness he'd seen just moments ago.

"Alright then... come here for a moment." He took out a capsule from his pocket, kneeling down as the Pokemon approached and depressing the trigger. a bright flash of red engulfed the Cubone, the ball wiggled around in his hand for a few seconds, and then came to a still, signifying a successful catch.

"It's official then," he said, depressing the Trigger again and sending his new Cubone out. "You're apart of the team... now let's get this Sculpture back for the contest." The cubone nodded happily and followed behind him as he continued off again. Erce and Java stayed behind for a few moments, the Porygon casting a questioning glance to the Scyther, expecting her to have some idea of what that sudden display from Mareek was. All she did was sigh, she had a fairly confident guess of what it was about... though she honestly hoped she was wrong, that she had managed to help him take care of it years ago with their hide and seek games. But in the back of her mind she had a hunch that what she had seen all that time ago was just the tip of the problem with Mareek... Without any other response, the two headed off behind the boy and the ground type.

((I'll leave it to you to get him back to Brendan and what's her name, Sergeant Chimchain.))

"Oh, you caught that gooey thing in the end. Nice." Sissy said looking at the Goomy. "All that gooey stuff on you, paid off."

Sissy's Misdreavus, after some minutes of skepticism, went in front of her trainer and pointed some trees not far from where the uknown girl came.

"What is it Miss? I thought you didn't find anything." Sissy said looking at the trees. "I guess she wants us to go there. In the end we might find nothing, but let's give it a try." She said at Robert and started walking at the direction of the trees.

After hearing Sissy's reaction to Miss, Robert was more than happy to follow, quickly returning the Goomy for what would likely be to fast going for it. Kiai had finally finished wiping all the goop off when he heard turned to see the two of them following the Misdreavus where ever, Quick Attack-ing towards them to catch back up.

Jacob breathed heavily, tired out after the tough run from Brendan's location to the caves on the Western side. He wiped sweat from his forehead using his arm, shaking his head to clear it of fatigue. Shortly after, he reached down to his belt and released Teo from the ball. He looked excitedly down at the Ground-type, smiling broadly. "Teo, we're gonna find ourselves a new teammate today!" he said happily. The Trapinch mirrored his Trainer's enthusiasm, gurgling happily and turning toward the caves. "We're looking for Charmander, but we'll battle anything we see!" Jacob decided, beginning to walk toward the mouth of the cave.

I don't think we'll be finding any Charmanders any time soon, but it'll be worth the training to go in, he thought to himself, wanting to surprise his Pokemon. It would be better training if he wasn't prepared for it, after all.

Shiro bent over to take a better look at Slade's Pokedex. It showed a picture of a light blue frog like Pokemon with two gigantic yellow eyes. Shun slid down to his right shoulder to take a peek too.

"Yeah, I know that one!" He said with a smile. "You think you'll be able to find it around here? A frog on a mountain?"

Kage's consternation was visible as they followed the trail, his mind working on how to escape the situation. Devin didn't seem mad, though. Maybe. . . He shook his head violently, trying to clear his head for the moment. Whatever. I'll worry about the trip, first. He wandered off the trail a short distance, hoping he could meet a Haxorus.
