Pokémon Academy: Ch 2a: Dragons [IC]

'Wow, Evan does have a soft side.' Danielle thought before she was rudely interrupted by a snarky voice from behind. When she got up to take a better look at the person, she found that it was the same redhead from before. Danielle didn't look phazed at her hateful smirk, however. This isn't as bad as she had it with the elders; in fact, Danielle was amused.

"You must tell me how you do it. Even I couldn't make enemies this quickly."

Danielle turned to her other side to find an amused Henry. 'Well, this is a surprise. Might as well take the chance to amuse him as well as myself.' "Oh Henry! Isn't it obvious? It's my impeccable charm of course! The more people you talk to, the more enemies you make! It balances out, you see?~" Danielle giggled before turning to her redheaded acquaintance. "My dear ginger friend, since you are sooo worried about them being poisoned..." she pulled out an Oran berry and waved it in her face. "Perhaps you would like to be a test subject? Mind you, I did purchase them from the Academy so if you did get poisoned, well, you will have to sue the Academy then~"

Avis had flown back onto Danielle's shoulder to give a hateful glare of her own to the redhead. Honestly, is this "Hate on My Master Day" or something?

[Felicity]

Upon reaching the area, Claude had immediately sat down, closed his eyes and put his hands on his knees. He entered a "Trance" (As he liked to call it) similar to how he was when he first picked Lancelot. He waited, calm, allowing his thoughts to flow and whirl in his mind, taking their natural course in his mind. It was after a good while that Claudes eyes finally opened and he stood, a course of action set in his mind. He went and got a camera.

He beckoned Doux and Lancelot to his side. "Friends, what are your thoughts on an exercise in climbing?" Doux and Lancelot looked at Claude, then each other and gave a cautious affirmative. Sometimes, they didn't have any idea what their master was talking about. It wasn't until Claude marched over to the tallest tree that they understood, and Lancelot began climbing beside Claude, with the help of Doux. Soon enough, Claud was at the very top of a tree, balancing precariously as he gazed all around him. Lancelot and Doux were just underneath Claude on a more stable tree. It was at this point Claude began his vigil for the wondrous sight he desired.

[Tses]

Upon reaching the lake, Sissy gave out a small sound of happiness. I guess its time to rest for a couple of minutes after that walking. She thought, but something drew her attention all of a sudden. It was coming from the lake making her go there. Some bubbles where coming on the surface, taking place into some Horseas.

"What we have here? Some pretty little fellows." She smiled back at them. The Horseas returned the smile and vanished into the water again.

Her attention then went straight into the lake center. There was a tiny pink thing floating there. On a blink of eye it vanished making her curious of what it is.

"Miss, you hear me?" Sissy said with her eyes staring the lake. "I need to ask you a small favor." The ghost pokemon came out from her hair ,with a skeptical look on her face, looking at her trainer. "I need you to go in the center of the lake and examine each inch of it with your eyes. If you spot out anything strange looking come back at me." The Misdreavus gave out a small cry, "Mis", and went straight on top of the center of the lake.

"Excuse me professors. I want to know something about this lake. Is there a possibility that other water pokemon except Kingdra and Dragalge line to live here?" Sissy said looking at Roman.

[Commander]

"I would've guessed it was your sass," Henry grumbled. Danielle probably heard him, but he really didn't care. "It seems you've been around me a little bit too much to shrug something like that off. Whether or not that's a good thing I don't know. You seem to have the situation under control, but I can step in at any time if you want." Henry looked over to the red haired girl. "I don't know what have against Danielle, but you gonna have to do better than that. I'm sure you yourself have heard the stories about me. If she can tolerate someone like that, what makes you think she wouldn't shrug off empty insults like yours?"

While this was going on, Gypsy was glaring at the delicious berry. Danielle's movement only tempted the Venonat to take action. With a quick movement, Gypsy used Confusion to cause the berry to slip out of Danielle's hand and into Gypsy's mouth. The Pokemon gobbled it down before anyone could notice the crime she committed. It was all worth it for the delicious berry.

[Azeria]

As Shade and Luna left to find the large rock they needed,James suddenly heard a voice..incomprehensible but still beautiful.Soothing his ears until it suddenly stopped,James turned around and faced the sky to see what was making the sound and saw an Altaria sitting on one of the trees."Sugoi,it's so beautiful" he muttered as the Altaria flew off once it noticed he spotted it.

After a while,James noticed Shade and Luna didnt return."Huh,I wonder what happened to those two....maybe I should go check it out"James said as he picked up his bag and returned Tytanniel as he didn't know what could happen if he went in alone.Running along the path Shade and Luna took as they searched for a Large rock,He eventually came upon a cave.Walking into it James suddenly heard a loud screech coming from further in"This.....what is this"He said as he tried to stop the sense of fear that came over him and walked further into the cave.

"You just had to let the cat out of the bag, huh Henry?" Danielle grinned at Henry's first comment. "Believe me, though, you're not insufferable to be around with, so stop demeaning yourself. I have learned some stuff from you, so I actually shouldn't be accepting your offer---" At that point, her berry suddenly disappeared. Seeing that there is no other Pokemon that could react that quickly (not even Avis), Danielle could guess it was Gypsy. Avis was also looking at her hand forlornly, as if her dinner was taken away from her. "Especially since you taught me quite a number of things already, like not waving a berry around when Gypsy is here. You have my gratitude, regardless~ On that note," she turned to the redhead, "It looks like the food I have is not poisonous after all~ Otherwise, why would my Murkrow here look so sad. So, don't worry your pretty little head about it~ Come on, Henry, I'm going to head over a little further up. Join me if you want." With that, she walked carefully to the sandy area and knelt down, waiting for some dragons to come around.

[Commander]

Henry couldn't help but give a little smile after hearing Danielle's words. The smile quickly disappeared and Henry looked at Danielle playing with the dragons. "I'm not going to fall for that again. I think I've been a little too nice to her which is why that flattery is getting to my head." Henry looked at the Venonat and then back at Danielle. "It's about time I took action instead of sitting in the background." Gypsy was rather confused at her master's sudden change in character, but got over it once he tossed her an Oran Berry.

Henry went over to the red haired girl and began talking to her. "I'm not sure what you think of me, but I'm willing to help. The name's Henry, and you are?"

[Bfroger6]

"..." Shiro watched as his colleagues got surrounded by a bunch of Tyrunt. His brain stayed on red alert as the whole situation appeared to him as a ticking bomb. If any of them does something wrong, then...

"Ru ~" He was interrupted in his thoughts when he heard Shun. She was poking the other girl's right leg so he walked over and put her on his shoulder.

"Sorry about that..." He muttered to the girl when he felt something tugging him from behind. He turned and saw a smal Tyrunt lightly ramming its head into the back of his leg. It didn't seem to be hostile or anything, so he bent on his knees and put his head on its forehead, at which the wild Pokemon quickly turned away and ran in the opposite direction, back to Raiza. Shiro sighed in response to that. He wasn't expecting such a reaction. "They're cute, don't you think?" (He said it to Shun, but Lana would think he was talking to her.) Shun simply shook her head in displeasure. Anything that drew Shiro's attention away from her wasn't even remotely cute in her eyes.

[Chim]

Group 1 (Bforger, Murdoc, Zephyr, EXLink)

Some of the smaller Tyrunts surrounding Raiza turned their attention towards Shiro and Lana. They hadn’t seen the two quiet students before and decided to go and investigate. Lana noticed the Shun poking her, but was too late to reply. Three little Tyrunt's arrived. One of them circled around Shiro while another bit in his shirt and tried to pull him to where the rest was. Next to him a third Tyrunt was pushing Lana into the same direction. She let the little dragon do his thing, making her unable to hear what Shiro said, and ended up next to Raiza. “Was this your plan?” she giggled. She never expected Tyrunts to be so playful.

A few meters ahead Kage was still surrounded. The Tyrunt he was talking too replied by nudging his nose against Kage’s face before pushing him with the top of his head. It was obviously a challenge as the other Tyrunts decided to back down and watch with interest.

Group 2 (Commander and DarkLight)

All four Gibles were now jumping and dancing on Evan. “I should’ve released my dragon slayer,” he mumbled while lying on the ground, defeated. It was by far the best day he had since coming to the Academy.

The new girl was about to make a nasty remark when Henry came over. “The name’s Henry, and you are?”

“Too good for you, boy!” she replied while throwing her hair back. “If you try to befriend me to help Danielle over there, don’t bother. I can handle her myself. She’s not that great as she thinks!”

She left him standing and walked over to where Danielle was playing around with some Trapinch and Druddigon. “Oooh, how cute! Almost as cute as Slade, don’t you think? Too bad we’re not in the same group, I would’ve loved to get to know him better.”

Group 3 (TurboAura, Tses, Tacos)

If Robert thought he was off the hook he was mistaken. The Goodra still followed the group and snuck up on him again. This time she didn’t hug him. Instead she stood perfectly still. This human, she could tell, was a nice one. Maybe she could play around with him a little bit longer?

The brunette blushed. “I’m Sofia,” she said. “I’m in the Breeder program so you probably haven’t seen me around too much…” she stared at her fingers. Normally she wasn’t a shy girl but something about Ryan made her a little insecure. “I would love to fly with you!” she eventually blurted out.

Roman was about to answer Sissy’s question when he remembered Phoebe’s reputation. “I think I’ll leave this up to you,” he said.

The water type expert actually thought for a second. “Way too many to sum up!” she said in her enthusiastic way. Do you have a specific Pokémon in mind?” Her lazy side took over and to be honest she would probably forget to mention a few species anyway.

Group 4 (K_H, Surge, Jory, Azery, Lucky Elf)

When James finally found his Pokémon back he saw they were cornered by a Golem. Apparently Shade and Luna mistook if for a nice stone their trainer could use to carve. The Rock type turned around and growled. “Leeem!”

In the meantime the Swellow was inspecting Mareek. Apparently this human didn’t have anything shiny with him or something else of value. The bird turned its attention back to Erce and wondered. Maybe that wood was important? Or the Scyther could make something out of it that she could add to her collection? She decided to wait just a little longer to see how things would play out and spread her wings. “Swellow!”

Claude’s climbing earned him some attention. A Chatot flew over and found a place in front the student. The little bird kept staring and making eye contact.

[Felicity]

Claude grinned, happy that his plan had gathered some sort of attention. Doux and Lance were both wary of the Chatot, both being weak to flying, but Claude was sure that if he didn't do anything bad, there'd be no issue... Right?

"Well hiya buddy" Claude greeted the pokemon. He took out some spare pokeblock and offered it to the pokemon. "Wanna treat?

[Azeria]

Staring at the Growling Beast in front of him,James had to step back as its heavy steps made the ground under him quake a bit."A Golem,A FREAKING GOLEM...it had to be this thing of all things"James said as he remembered the bad memories he had of a Golem from when he tried to explore Rock Tunnel.WantingTrying to keep everything going without violence,James tried to explain what was going on to the Golem"I told Shade and Luna to find a large rock for a project we were working on.Sadly they though you were a rock,so on their be halve i apologize for disturbing you"He said as the Golem's expression didnt seem to change.

[Tacos]

Ryan beamed at Sofia reassuringly. "Well it's nice to meet you, Sofia. Breeding's cool though. In fact, a good friend of mine is a breeder himself." Ryan turned and climbed back on to the Flygon, patting the spot behind him to welcome Sofia onto the Flygon. "I'm sure Professor Cadmus won't mind letting me have a guest on here." Ryan winked at Sofia, and held out his hand to help her on.

[Commander]

Henry gave a chuckle seeing the ginger performance. "Bloody gingers. They think they're better than anybody else. Just give her time. She'll ask for my help when she realizes what she's up against." Henry focused back on the Gibles now seeing a young boy in the middle of them. Henry slowly and carefully approached the group. "You seem to be having fun there. Keep this up and they might make you one of their own." Henry seemed to feel better now that his attention was diverted from Danielle.

[TurboAura]

Looking out in the direction of the lake area, he felt a similar presence that he had ignored earlier, much to his embarrassment. Turning around, he found the Goodra behind him, seeming to be still. "Well, I guess you followed me, not like I didn't expect as much from saying 'follow me or not, but I gotta go.'" All throughout the time he was talking, he had a smile on his face. "So, since I've already got back with my group, is there anything you want to do?" Having finished his statement to the gooey dragon, he was atleast relieved that it didn't INTRODUCE itself with a hug this time.

[Tses]

Sissy turned around to listen carefully what professor Phoebe was about to say. Her answer made her think for a while, so maybe that pink thing could actually be the one I seek.

"Thanks professor. I think I will deal with the rest." Sissy said with her eyes staring at the lake.

The Misdreavus was scanning all the lake with her eyes, for anything that can be suspicious. She then noticed that something was going on, at the lakeshore. The ghost pokemon returned immediately where her trainer was, pointing some meters away.

"Is it there? If so let's move girl." Sissy said and start running at that direction, hoping that she could make it in time before the pokemon dissapears once again.

[Sutoratosu]

The Sculpture was coming along quite nicely under Erce's diligence. Java held the block in place as she circled all around it, her scythes charged with an X-Scissor as he swung again and again at the wood, carving it down faster than a person with just tools could've. Java meanwhile used lock on on various areas of the wood to show where Erce needed to cut next, and which areas to leave as they were. The Scyther didn't even have to see an image of what she was carving, given the Porygon's excellent guidance.

Before very long at all, the scuplture was more or less done. Java broke off the psybeam, gently dropping the wood effigy, now near perfectly identifiable as a Mega-Evolved Ampharos at just a glance. Erce took a step back as Mareek came forward, holding up his dex and checking the image against the final result.

"Great job, you two," he said warmly. "Looks exactly like what we were going for. I think it's safe to say we'll win this little art contest now." he knelt down, about to pick up the newly carved statue...

((I assume that the Swellow wants it now that it's done...so, go on...))

[DarkLight]

“Oooh, how cute! Almost as cute as Slade, don’t you think? Too bad we’re not in the same group, I would’ve loved to get to know him better.”

Danielle continued petting the Trapinches and the Druddigons, considering her next move. Over in the distance, she saw Henry with Evan; she sensed Avis' suspicious glances at Henry when she had moved to the baby dragons. "Easy, Avis. It's nothing," Danielle spoke softly to her Murkrow, partially as a response to her suspicions and partially to quell Avis' anger. The coordinator in training slowly got up from her position to avoid startling the babies. She watched them scurry over to the next student before facing the redhead. A small, sad smile was on her face.

"You're quite wrong, actually. The Pokemon are the cutest of all; I liked Slade for reasons other than that... Reasons that I don't even know myself... I'll be happy to introduce you to him. If it's meant to be, perhaps it's for the best that I leave us the way it is. Who knows? Maybe you will fit him better than I ever can."

Avis looked at her master in shock. She's giving up on Slade? Oh no, no, no; not on this Murkrow's watch. This is not the Danielle she knows... Wait, not the Danielle she knows... Avis continued with her facade, crowing indignantly at the redhead for making her master feel "sad."

[K_H]

Kenny and his Team saw that there was a bit more time, so they decided to do a bit more in the way of Stone-cutting. This time, Eve would be the one who did the Carving. Kenny had Eve use Iron Tail to carve up a second piece of stone, while Zorro held it in place with a second Illusion.

[Chim]

Lucky Elf

The Chatot hopped around the branches. “Treat! Treat! Buddy! Treat!” it said before munching on the Pokéblock. When it ate everything it went back at staring to the student in a curious way, wondering what a human without wings was doing in a tree.

Azery

The Golem growled and took a few steps closer. It didn’t like being called a rock like some lifeless being. He pointed at James Pokémon and then to the exit. If they didn’t move fast things could go ugly very quickly.

Tacos

Sofia giggled and took a seat behind Ryan. She hugged him tightly under the excuse she didn’t want to fall off. she nuzzled her face against his back and used him as a pillow, completely getting rid of any previous shyness. “I’m ready when you are!”

Robert

The Goodra gestured for Robert to follow, happy she found a new friend. She led him around the lake, past Sissy, and brought him to even more Goodra. All of them seemed very friendly as they came closer to hug him.

Surge

As soon as the wooden sculpture was finished Swellow jumped from Mareek’s shoulder and grabbed it carefully in her beak. She flew at fast speed, before Erce or Java could react, towards her nest. She put it with the rest of her trophies and seemed very proud of herself. It was only a few trees from where they were now and Mareek could see something moving on the ground. A little Cubone was staring at the top and desperately tried to get into the tree. After another failed attempt it started crying. Apparently the Swellow had stolen something from Cubone as well.

DarkLight and Commander

“I think it’s already too late,” Evan mumbled. He was lying with his face turned away from Henry so didn’t recognize him. “They already consider me their personal trampoline. That or emergency food supply.”

“Like I would fall for that little act of yours!” the Redhead replied. “I know girls like you all too well. You flirt around with every guy you see because you’re desperate for attention! Ha! Like I would let you steal the spotlight from me!” She threw her hair back again. “Don’t worry, you can still have Slade. After all, I like strong, muscular trainers with talent. Trainers with a bright future and that know what they want. Trainers like Jacob! Without him neither you nor Slade would have half the skills you possess now. If you can call it skills…” Her eye fell on Avis. “Hmpf,” she smiled arrogantly, “not worth my time. But remember my name; Kristen. I’m the future top coordinator!” she stared with her blue eyes right into Danielle’s and gave an arrogant wink before walking in the direction of Evan and Henry.

[Felicity]

Claude didn't really know what to do. He was glad that the Chatot had liked the treat, but now it was back to the same thing...

Meanwhile, encouraged by the Chatots positive reaction, Doux floated up to the Chatot, floating around as if to play with it.

[Tacos]

Ryan's muscles tensed when Sofia hugged him, and slightly nuzzled him. Ok, um, she's only doing this cause she doesn't want to fall... right? "Well, if you see a pokemon you might want to look at, let me know and we can stop." With that, Ryan signaled the Flygon to explore the swamp, and they flew away.

[Sutoratosu]

"Hey!!" Mareek shouted angrily as he stood there, all but helpless to watch the Swellow steal the Carving his team had just finished. "Deceptive little feathered bastard!!" he snarled in very fluent Japanese, he honestly didn't break back into his first language unless he was particularly pissed or in battle (As per the new command system he had worked out with Erce during the past few weeks). This time though, he and Erce had similar thoughts as to the actions of the flying type, the mantis buzzing her wings aggressively and about to take off to where she had seen the Swellow disappear into it's nest.

"Wait a minute..." he continued, still in Japanese, noticing something jumping up and down at the base of the tree. She looked at him curiously, perplexed by why he'd want her to not go get the statue back. The Trainer walked over to the source of the motion, soon seeing what it was as he drew near.

"A Cubone?" he asked, in English again. He knelt down next to the little creature as it cried, examining it to see what was wrong. Obviously it had something to do with the thief in this tree though... "What's the matter, little guy?" he asked, softening his voice to try to comfort it. "You just get something stolen from you too?"

[TurboAura]

Seeing Goodra signal him to follow, he did so knowing that the Goodra acted completely friendly. Of course, just as a precaution, he let out Kiai while following the Goodra. The Riolu was a bit surprised by how gooped up he was. "Don't worry Kiai, it's friendly." Having given a compliant sigh, Robert followed the Goodra the rest of the way, eventually finding that he was led to a group of other Goodra's, who all seemed to be reacting friendly as they went towards him fo get a hug of their own.

"Oh, more friendly Goodra's. Well, guess there's only one thing to do." With that, Robert simply spread his arms out, knowing full well what was going to happen. Kiai, of course, just looked at his Trainer and sighed to himself. "Well, not the normal reaction to having wild dragon types approach you, but I guess they're friendly enough." As Kiai started to relax, he saw some Goomy's out of the corner of his eye, which he knew must be the Goodras' children. They weren't focused on his trainer, but some of them were looking directly at him. "W-wait, why are they looking at me? Do they plan... oh well, not like I can do anything myself." With that, atleast one of the Goomy's went over and did what they could to do to hug the Riolu, atleast since they lacked the hands. After taking the first Goomy's hug willingly, the other's in suit followed their Evo's actions and started 'hugging' Kiai.

[Commander]

Henry began to clap slowly at the ginger's performance. "Bravo, bravo, I am completely unimpressed. Clearly you've done your research, but your execution was sub par. You gave the girl too much time to realize how empty your words really were. No matter, all is not lost yet. Watch and learn. Try not taking any of this to heart, okay?" Henry's voice was only able to reach Evan and Kristen. He then began speaking a bit louder so that more people could hear him.

"Really now? You'd put you're own reputation just because some random girl became popular. You even went so low that you'd attack her without Sir Knight or Sir Phones to protect her. Clearly, you didn't realize Danielle isn't so helpless by herself. I doubt you even made a dent in her spirit." Henry took a breath of air and wanted to see if Kristen caught on to what he was doing. "You probably said all those empty lies to hide what you're really feeling. You're just simply jealous that she's getting everything you ever wanted. I still don't understand why anyone would value any of that worthless stuff anyways."

Henry then moved so that his back was facing Danielle and began to talk in a soft voice again. "Now act pissed. I'll then make my move on her."

[Tses]

Upon reaching the spot that the Misdreavus pointed, Sissy noticed that there were some Goodra there and Robert. "I guess these aren't the ones we are looking for." She said in a depressed way. He looked at where Robert was and said. "It seems more of that goo-thing is here for you. Lucky you."

The Misdreavus started giving out small cries, trying to catch Sissy's attention. Eventually once her trainer turned around, she could she the pink thing from earlier, almost out of the water, on the shore.

"Let's get it." Sissy said and went straight to where that pokemon was. At her surprise the pokemon ,instead of coming out the water, dived into the lake. "No way. This can't be happening. There must be a way to stop it from fleeing." Sissy said as she was searching her pokedex for more info about the pink pokemon. She classified the search into water type pokemon, and started searching those that were pink. She finished her search in a couple of minutes with a very few pokemon in the list. She put the two pokemon on screen and showed the pokedex to the Misdreavus.

"Here are the two possibilities we have. Once you see this one, let me know. " Sissy said pointing at the image of a Slowpoke. The ghost pokemon memorized the image and went off to the lakes surface once again.
