Ryan waved goodbye to Sissy as Claude came up. "That's the plan monsieur. Whatever means necessary, just do it." As Ryan finished his sentence, an excited Jacob had approached Claude and him from behind. "Don't even apologize man, everything's fine. Can't say my day has gone all too well, but if what's about to happen works, I can at least remedy it." Ryan puffed out his chest and struck a pose, trying to ease the mood.

Henry was rather surprised the group had another visitor. He turned around and saw the crazy boy who tried getting a up close view of the dragon battle yesterday. Wait a minute...didn't Kristen say she liked this boy. This gives me an idea. Henry turned back to Ryan. "I think I figured a way to get that girl to talk to you. While Claude's distracting the red haired one, you don't mind if I say a couple things to the other one, do you?"

While Henry and the rest of the guys were busy trying to get Ryan alone with Sofia, Danielle had gone back into her room to get a fresh set of clothes to change into after a long needed shower. Danielle began greeting Sissy before leaving for a wash but, upon seeing Sissy's blank stare, Danielle figured she wanted to be left alone for now. 'I guess I'm not the only one who had a long day...' With that, Danielle left for the bathroom.

Avis followed Danielle into the bathroom, but not before she gave a nod to Sissy's direction. Although Sissy was lost in thought, Avis knew her Misdreavous is around and watching.

Claude nodded. "Well, it seems I have been given a mission. I shall accomplish my goal or die trying. If something happens to me, make sure everyone looks good at my funeral. If I return, I'll give my report about the days events as well as the mission status!" Claude said, giving a mock salute. With that, he turned and walked off towards the two girls. It wasn't until he got closer to the two girls that he noticed something strange. When he saw the redhead, his heart rate sped up, and he could hear his blood rushing through his head. When he got there, he found he was surprisingly very nervous. "Um, hello there..." Claude began, but then he snapped himself out of the strange funk that had begun. "I am Claude the Extraordinaire, fabulous purveyor of the coordinators arts!" He announced, Giving a grand bow and smiling broadly at the two girls. When he caught the redheads eye, his heart skipped a little. All the while, Colere followed along, simply watching Claude.

“What’s wrong?” Kristen asked concerned. She could read her best friend like an open book.

Sofia hugged her and was crying silently, her head buried in the redhead’s hair. “You know the guy I talked about earlier? He’s in my group. I talked to him and he was really nice and even took me on a flight with Flygon. I thought we were flirting a little when he suddenly said he was already taken!”

Kristen cursed. “What an ass! But if he flirts around with others girls while having a girlfriend, he doesn’t deserve you. That shows his true colors.”

“He has a boyfriend,” Sofia silently corrected her friend. She was too upset to continue the conversation.

Kristen just patted Sofia’s head. She was quite surprised but kept her cool. “If he’s gay there’s not much to do. You’ll get over it and meet someone else, even though that’s probably the last thing you want to hear right now. Keep your head up and look at the other guys. There’s plenty of fish in the sea.” She eyed Jacob while saying that. “But be aware of the Feebas swimming around. Despite evolving into a beautiful Pokémon, that doesn’t count for boys. Once a Feebas, always a Feebas.” She thought especially about Henry. That guy was doomed to stay a Feebas forever.

Sofia chuckled a little. “What about Tentacool’s?” She removed her head from Kristen’s shoulders and looked her friend in the eye.

“I am Claude the Extraordinaire, fabulous purveyor of the coordinators arts!”

The two girls were speechless when Claude suddenly interrupted. They stared at Claude, then at each other and started to laugh. “You’re a real sunshine, aren’t you?” Kristen chuckled. “I’m Kristen, a trainer, and this is my friend Sofia. She’s a breeder.”

Sofia gave Claude a small wave. Her face was still red from crying earlier.

Claude saw Sofia's red eyes, and his prior mission was forgotten. "Oh my, please don't tell me I interrupted you two in the midst of an emotional moment! Oh lord, I am a fool! Please I truly am sorr-" Claude was cut short when Colere gave an almighty Roar that immediately made Claude yelp in fear. After he realised it was his own pokemon who scared him shitless Claude turned around and snapped at the small Dragon. "Why on earth did you pick this very moment to act up?!" He turned to the girls once more, "I'm sorry, I think she'd like to battle, or that what I think as far as I can tell."

What is he doing? Henry was rather surprised by Claude's reactions. "I'm going to get a closer look. I suggest the rest of you stay back because I have a feeling all hell is going to break loose." Henry made his way forward when he was just able to make out something odd about the other girl's face. Is she crying? Okay, maybe I underestimated the situation. He turned around and gave a dirty glare at Ryan before continuing forward. I know Kristen and I aren't on the best of terms but this needs resolved before someone does something stupid.

Ryan saw Henry's dirty look and returned an innocent one back. "I'm trying to pacify her, it's my fault she's like this and I trying to solve it." Ryan turned back to the situation, admiring how calm Claude seemed to be.

"Whatever," Henry responded. He saw Claude regain his control and challenged the red head to a battle. Instead of going closer, he turned and headed to the boy's cabin. I kind of forgot about the goo. I feel it hardening in my hair and its starting to hurt. He pulled out a change of clothes and headed into the bathroom for a shower.

“I-it’s nothing,” Sofia stuttered. She didn’t want everyone to know how upset she was or why. Unfortunately for her Kristen thought the exact opposite.

“Your friend over there led her on by flirting with her and being romantic. She got her hopes up and he just crushed them. As for that battle; we’re not really in the mood.” She eyed the Tyrunt carefully. “Especially Sofia wouldn’t be able to concentrate and I just want to be here for my friend.” All the time she stayed civil and friendly. She didn’t mind this Claude guy being around. He seemed to know Jacob so this could be her chance to get closer to him.

**************

Not far from where the students were, two little Togepi’s found themselves a trampoline. They bounced up and down while swinging their little hands in excitement. The trampoline didn’t seem to be faced as it kept snoring in silence. It probably didn’t even feel the two eggs jumping.

Claude glanced at her, confused. "Whoever said I was offering? All I said was hat she wanted to battle. Besides, I'm not THAT daft to think a good friend like you would leave this poor dear alone." Claude sighed, mulling over his options, then decided to take a bit of a risk. "Look, My friend is a nice enough guy, but I don't know what happened between you two. All I know is that he wanted to talk to you about it all. Even someone who's only been his friend for a while could tell he felt awful about it." Claude said, hoping that an honest approach would work.

Jacob put his hand on Ryan's shoulder again and chuckled. "Talk about deja vu, huh? It was only the first day of class when you were talking to me about Danielle, and now it seems we're in opposite positions with the opposite problem. Need any help, bud?" he asked his friend, smiling inwardly as he noticed the redhead checking him out. She's not bad looking. And maybe that's what I need to get over Danielle, he thought to himself. However, he quickly dismissed the notion. Eh. I need to focus on training Spitfyre right now. He's powerful enough to evolve already, I can feel it. He just needs to unlock his true power. Suddenly, an idea occurred to him. "Ryan, you wanted to get that other girl alone to talk to her, right?"

Once both Danielle and her Murkrow left the room, Miss came out and woke up her trainer from her thoughts. "What's it Miss? What happened?" The Misdreavus pointed at Danielle's bed and then at the door. Sissy could see some of Danielle's stuff on the bed. "Did they came inside too?" She asked her pokemon. The ghost pokemon nodded and then flew towards the door. "Okey, let's go out. I got my rest for now. Hopefully, I will manage to finish the day." She opened the door and started walking outside once again.

"Well this is stressful, but I think, hope at least, I can handle it. The roles have reversed, the girl left heartbroken and the guy feeling sorry. Also, another small factor. One of them is taken." Ryan let that hang in the air as he strode off towards Claude, Sofia, and Kristen. He sunk down a bit, and entered shyly. "Um... Sofia.... could you please just... talk to me... for just a second to... clarify a few things?"

"Feeling better, Avis?" Danielle asked the bird that is now underneath a towel. The coordinator then heard a muffled cry of satisfaction before taking the towel away from Avis. Danielle resisted the urge to laugh; her small Murkrow was now twice as big as her normal size thanks to her loose feathers from her bird bath (which she took in the sink while Danielle used the shower). Avis looked more like a chubby, overgrown Pidove than the scrawny, little Murkrow. This scene cracks Danielle up every time. Turning her attention towards the mirror, Danielle then proceeded to comb out the tangles from her now clean and lustrous brown hair before she tied it back up into a ponytail. While Avis was preening herself, the girl wiped off the water left by the sink and the floor, talking to the mischievous bird all the while.

"So much for getting Henry to open up, right Avis? Right when he was about to tell us, another obstacle has to appear." At that, she heard Avis gave a disgruntled grunt. "I guess we have made progress with him though. At least he's not going to prank us anytime soon... I have a feeling that just as long as Kristen isn't around, Henry doesn't mind our company. He seems bent on staying out of this supposed rivalry, which is reasonable, although I find the reason for Kristen's declaration to be pretty pathetic." Her Murkrow, now looking a little more recognizable, gazed down at her master who was wiping off the last spots of water on the floor. Avis gave a small cry before going back to grooming. "I'll take that as a yes." Danielle responded. "To be honest, I don't even consider her a real rival; she only declared that I am her rival because I get more attention than her. So lame~" The coordinator got back up and threw the drenched paper towel away. She then proceeded to gather her gooey clothes and towels. "I'm not going to lie, though, her liking Jacob scares me a little, n-not because I'm afraid he'll turn on me, no~" she quickly added after Avis made a face. "I'm just afraid he'll get hurt a second time. And, considering her attitude, it could spell disaster." Avis gave a laugh before flying back onto Danielle's shoulder. The bird then gave her disappointed look once again before Danielle stroked her wing. "Are you trying to say that Jacob has more sense than that?" Avis nodded. "You're right. I should have more faith in him; he's not dumb after all. But, if he does fall for her..." Danielle shrugged, despondently. "Well, what are we to judge?" Avis rolled her eyes and stared at Danielle after the human girl put everything back into their rightful place. Danielle stared right back, trying to figure out what was going through Avis' head. After a short while, Danielle smiled and patted Avis. Although they are separated by a language barrier, they were always able to feel what the other is trying to say. "I get it, Avis. Thanks, as always." Danielle turned to address Sissy to apologize for that strange moment, only to find that Sissy had disappeared. The door was also left ajar. "Well, I guess we better head out too." Danielle then followed Sissy's footsteps to head outside.

Once outside, she saw some similar faces gathered around and approached them carefully. Upon closer inspection, she found a crying girl with a less-smug looking Kristen and the guys around. No Slade, Raiza or Lana... Where are they?' Danielle felt Avis ruffling up her feathers as if something, or someone, had offended her. "What's wrong?" She found Avis eyeing a small group with Kristen, an upset brunette, Ryan, Claude... and Jacob. "Easy, Avis. Remember what you told me." Danielle walked over towards them, but stopped short of the crowd to avoid unnecessary attention, observing the scene all the while. Despite her silence, though, the gravel and leaves crunching beneath her feet could be giveaways to her presence. 'Well, that's new, Kristen has a soft side, or does she...?' Danielle spied Jacob giving her a polite smile as Ryan went over to speak with an upset brunette. 'Sweet love: A beautiful, yet deadly force, as Valerie once said. But... sooner or later, our personalities will reveal whether or not a pair is meant to last. I couldn't understand what that meant before, but I think I do now, somewhat. Jacob, don't be fooled.'

Having let Ryan and Jacob's conversation settle in, Robert realized that he had missed them heading to the group. "Well, I guess he's finally just going in. Fair enough." Robert started heading over to the group that everyone had slowly been heading into, ready to separate whoever made the bad choice of words and made such a touchy subject even worse. On the way over, he saw Danielle watching a short distance away from the group and decided to wait by her, outside the already seemingly hectic group until something were to go down even worse. "Well, I guess this problem keeps drawing more and more people's attention. I can fill you in if you don't already know, but want to, without having to dive face first into the problem." After that little statement towards Danielle, he turned his head towards the group to watch whatever happen.

Danielle nodded towards Robert before going back to observing the scene. "Thanks, Robert~ I could also fill you in on some information too, if you would like." Avis only ruffled her feathers more to indicate her dissatisfaction with Jacob approaching Kristen. "Avis probably won't let me down if I don't tell you though." Danielle added, chuckling quietly as she calmed her bird down with a few strokes.

Hearing Danielle's response, he was both happy to tell what he knew, as well as curious to hear what she had to share, questioning if she actually knew the girl before the trip, as she couldn't possibly have heard what had actually happened on the actual excursion yet. "Okay then. So what's basically happening is that Ryan and Sofia got into a bit of a concerning love. From what I understand, Sofia had a crush on Ryan. Not that big of a deal in it of itself, but Ryan said that he was taken, and it's shown there how bad she took rejection. I myself ended up becoming an obstical in her running away from the problem, but that's besides the point. Right now, Ryan's trying his best to give his apologies to her, and I assume that the others are around to just support the process." After being done with the explanation, he took a deep breath and sigh in relief, hoping he hadn't skipped over anything. "Well now that I told you all I know, I'm more than happy to hear anything you have to tell."

While Henry was taking his shower, his pokemon were hanging out outside. Zuko was taking a nap and Gypsy was munching on some berries Henry gave her. Burrows, on the other hand, grew bored watching the two Pokemon. He turned and noticed a couple of egg things jumping up and down on some giant mound. He became intriguied and joined in on the fun. These two little creatures were way more fun than his trainer's pokemon.

***

Henry quickly finished up his shower and changed into a different pair of clothes. He came back out to look to where his Pokemon would be. The boy noticed the Vulpix and Venonat doing their normal routine, however, the new recruit was doing something that did not please his trainer. "Burrows! Get over here now!" The yelling seem to get to the Drilbur as he quickly jumped off of the Pokemon and hustle back to his trainer. He then stood saluting his trainer and awaiting his order.

The Togepi was fascinated by this mole creature and followed him over to where the human was. The other Togepi igored it and continued having fun on the trampoline. When she reached the spot, she looked at the Drilbur and tried to imitate him. Too bad her tiny little arm just couldn't quite reach her head. She was enjoying this fun new game this bigger Pokemon came up with.

"I don't really care what you do when I'm not looking, but please for Arceus's sake don't go jumping on a Pokemon." Henry's words got to the Pokemon as he looked over and realized he mistook that pokemon for a giant mound. He hid his face out of pure shame. "Just don't do it again. Anyways, we might be able to..." Henry looked over and saw a Togepi putting her hand on her face. "When did you get here?" The Togepi then tried going back into a salute, but failed. "Okay, I see you've had some bad influence. Why don't you go back to your friend? This here is dangerous work only made out for Pokemon owned by me. Maybe some other trainer will take you in."

The Togepi heard the word trainer and she immediately became intrigued. As Henry headed out to a more open field, he noticed the tiny Pokemon following behind. Burrows tried pushing the Pokemon away by turning her around, but she was here to stay. Henry finally gave up and responded, "I guess you can stay and watch. It's kind of weird having a young little Pokemon watch you train." The little Togepi became excited and sat down far enough to be out of Henry and his team's way.

After a little bit of time passed, Henry felt satisfied with the quick session. "I guess that makes up for you little blunders earlier, Burrows. I might even actually start winning 1v1 matches more thanks to you." Burrows heard this and was about to jump for joy. He quickly controlled himself by giving a quick salute. The Togepi ran over to him in excitement and tried to imitate him once again. "It also seem like you have a big fan already. Sorry little guy but we're done for the day." Henry headed back to where most of the students were with the Togepi still following him.

Henry knew he had to break the news to the Togepi strong and hard. "I know you must not be used to this kind of stuff, but you have a home here. As much as I'd like to take you in, I have Burrows now to deal with as well as juggling those other two. I just don't think I can add someone else right now." The Togepi realized what this meant. She was never going to see her new friends again. It looked as if she was about to cry. Henry quickly responded by saying, "Hey, it's okay. Maybe some other trainer might want you. Why don't we have a look around?"

The Togepi heard Henry's voice and quickly became excited again leading the way. This is not my day. I just can't feels a bit like everyone is three steps ahead of me. Now I went as low as finding this Togepi a trainer. I can't help because I just can't stand crying. The five looked around, but Henry doubted anyone would even want to talk to him. He looked over and saw a large group around the girl Ryan was trying to talk to. I feel sorry for the poor girl, but there's nothing I can do.

"Oohh, so that explains the brunette being so upset." Danielle sighed sadly at the revelation, although she is thankful for Robert being here. "I knew Ryan was taken before this trip, so I can confirm that he is definitely not interested in Sofia, unfortunately for her. What surprises me is that the redhead, Kristen over there, is actually being nice to someone other than Jacob." She turned to Robert to explain. "Let me explain what I know, since it ties into what I just said. Basically, Kristen is nasty to me and some of my friends that support me because of jealousy. She made herself known to me while we were out with the Gible and the desert dragons. She told me that I'm her rival now just because I am more popular then her." Danielle rolled her eyes before getting back to her side of the story. "Henry can back me up on that statement, since he did try to help me in his own way in dealing with her... Kristen also told me that has a crush on Jacob and she knows I like a guy, so she has been trying to hit that weak point, although I just find her attempts to piss me off amusing." She nodded to the gathering up ahead. "This all probably sounds strange since she isn't acting up now and insulting me but, believe me, she may only be doing that because she doesn't want to lose her chance with Jacob. That's what girls do when they want to impress the guy they like."

Avis crowed in confirmation to what Danielle just said, hoping that her chiming would convince Robert that Danielle was telling the truth. Avis then went back to observing the group; her feathers, at least, have returned to normal now that the subject was addressed.

Listening carefully to Danielle's explanation, the pieces were fitting into place easily, as well as pieces being completely overlooked like the girl, Kristen, taking care of Sofia currently. There was one part off it that made Robert wonder who the 'other one' Ryan was committed to was, but he pushed it to the back of his mind until it came up again. At the end of it, Robert heard Avis's 'crow,' which he could only assume was even more support that Danielle was telling all the details she had. "Ah, so that explains who the other girl is, and just solidifies Ryan being honest. Let's just hope the group infront of us can help settle the problem instead of making it worse." Looking around patiently for the something to 'happen' in the group, his eyes had spotted Henry, seemingly worried, with a Togepi happily following him. "Well, guess there's more than one 'problem.'" He tried to catch Henry's attention, signaling him to come over, not wanting to move himself as to stay as close to the current problem as possible.

"Hmm...?" Danielle looked over to where Robert was signaling to. Her lingering question was answered by the appearance of Henry and a Togepi. The Pokemon looked happy to be with Henry while the trainer seemed troubled. "I guess we can work on this problem then, right?" she suggested to the boy next to her as gave a wave to her fellow coordinator. 'A Togepi, a Pokemon that symbolizes happiness, following Henry.' Danielle couldn't help but giggle at that thought. 'And to think that Henry thought of himself so horribly.' As they are waiting for Henry to come over, Danielle gave a sigh as she looked back at the group. "I'm sure Ryan can fix it, I'm just worried about what Kristen could cause in the future..."

"I'm sure Ryan can fix it, I'm just worried about what Kristen could cause in the future..."

Henry went over to the two and heard the end of their conversation. "I leave for like twenty minutes and the worst possible scenario just happened," he interrupted. "The girl just stopped crying for goodness sake. Nevermind about that, I have bigger problems to deal with. Anyone here want a free Togepi? I can't get the thing to stop following me." Meanwhile, the little Togepi started poking Henry's sore leg. Henry felt it, but it didn't hurt as much compared to Burrow's hug.

"Nice to see you all goo-free too, Henry~" Danielle immediately retorted back with a light tone, turning around to find annoyed Henry with the Togepi being oblivious to his attitude. She giggled at his disdain. "Well, this reminds me of how Avis keeping on tailing me until I accepted her. Honestly, I wouldn't mind keeping Togepi if it really bothers you, but why not accept it? The 'thing," as you called it, seems to like you enough."
