Support Squad Felicity Posted November 20, 2014 Support Squad Share Posted November 20, 2014 "Hmm, confused about the smoke? Well, I think it was the torkoal that you... revealed? I dunno what you did, but I think it was the turtle shaped thing you saw." Claude tried to answer. He didn't know how to respond, if he was honest with himself. Chim
Jory One of the Trapinch attention was caught by the Charmander who seemed eager to battle. It crawled over and made a gurgling sound by opening its jaws, challenging Spitfyre to a battle. The sound was loud enough to lure one of the Gibles over. TurboAura “So you are interested in bug types!” Alvin quickly released his other Pokémon. “This is Queen, she’s been with me for years now,” he said pointing to the Combee. “I think she’s ready to evolve soon. And the Dwebble is called Shelly. She’s tough but still has quite the way to go.” Alvin was obviously proud about his Pokémon. “And what about you? Do you have a bug Pokémon?” he asked genuinely interested. Commander “Faith was an accident. I knocked her ball of the table on the first day and she didn’t want me to leave her behind so I get what you mean.” He scratched his head and thought about Henry’s evolution remark. “I think Eevee is close if I give it a stone. Not sure about Faith. She really likes me but I don’t know if that’s enough. She’s surprisingly capable of holding herself in battle.” In the meantime Eevee managed to sneak up on the Drilbur. Happy Elf and Surge One of the Torkoal backed off after it saw the massive release of smoke its opponent produced. The winner of the little showdown, and the one Java saw, let out a loud ‘Koooaaal’ before energetically looking around. It was pumped and ready to show its power. If only that coward didn’t run away… Maybe the human with the weird floating thing was worthy? It slowly walked over and just stared at the duo releasing even more smoke in the process. TurboAura
A Combee and a Dwebble, to measure up with Heracross. At the very least he knows how to have his bugs cover up each other's weaknesses. Doesn't really matter what he has as long as he truely cares for them, but if only he wasn't so gloaty. Then he went a bit back to Alvin's later comment, not sure if he just wanted to see other's Bug types or if he was just curious. "Actually, I don't have any bug types myself. Haven't really met one that has made an impact on me. I could let out who I do have," In the middle of his thought, he questioned whether or not he'd even be interested, questioning how far the term 'bug boy' fit "But if your not that interested, they'd probably be fine about it anyway." Aurorix
After a while Flare and Slade finally caught up to the Frokie from before, only this time they were the ones who have the element of surprise. They waited for their chance to strike, though the Frokie seemed to not even notice their presence. Instead the frog stated to sing a tune, "Frrrrrrrooookie, FrrrrRRROOOkie, FrrrrRRRoooOOOooOOooOOkie~" Slade didn't wanna ruin this pokemon's song so he waited till the pokemon was finished, a music lover himself he couldn't bring himself to do it. When the Frokie finished his tune a shout could be heard from the bushes, "Frokie, I challenge you to a battle!" Then out Slade and Flare appeared from the brush. The frog pokemon just laughed at the sight of them, though he wasn't going to deny the challenge though. After the frog stopped laughing he nodded his head as to say he accepted. "Alright," Flare started to growl at the cocky frog, "You think you're gonna take my favorite food and not get away? HA!" Flare thought to himself. He turned to Slade and barked. "Oh, so you want to fight? Alright then get out there!" Slade said doing an epic ringer point. (Will post battle later. <3) Edited November 20, 2014 by EXLink32
Jory
Spitfyre growled menacingly at the Trapinch, the flame on his tail growing brighter. Awesome, Jacob thought to himself. This is exactly the kind of battle Spitfyre needs. One that's against a Pokemon just a little stronger than him and with a level advantage. But what this Trapinch doesn't know is that Spitfyre can use Dragon Rage. And that's going to be the difference maker in this, he thought, smiling broadly. "Alright, Trapinch. We'll accept your challenge!" the young Trainer said to the Pokemon. Teo snorted derisively at the weaker Trapinch, excited to watch the battle between his new teammate and the interloping Trapinch. Jacob took a ready stance and Spitfyre raised his claws, ready for battle.
DarkLight
The nature collage was finally complete. While Mawile helped with the flattening of the flower petals, Avis and Corona had searched around the chosen area to gather up the materials. The polished pearl lumps that the Mawile helped to shape with his powerful steel horn are now fitted in snugly to represent the Nidorino's visible claws and tooth; a small, white stone is now the white of the Nidorino's visible eye while an even smaller black stone is the eye itself. Corona's thin, sticky threads were then placed onto the contours of the Pokemon's brow, mouth, nose and horn to allow the black, grounded up stone particles to latch onto to bring out the Poison type's features more effectively. Danielle gave it a few shakes to allow the extra particles or petals to fall off before she presented the results to the 3 Pokemon."What do you think?" Her voice echoed throughout the space around them. The Mawile had led them to this underground lake due to its abundance of minerals and rocks that could be useful for the picture. The four of them were sitting comfortably with their backs leaning against several stalagmites near the lake. The three Pokemon peered at the collage, examining the angles this way and that, before the all gave a cry of satisfaction."Great!" Danielle exclaimed as she took a quick snap of the collage with her camera. "Now we just need to get back outside and get some honey to apply that extra layer and we will be set to go! The only thing is," she then looked at the Mawile, "We need to you to lead us back... Please?"The Mawile nodded and began walking back towards the entrance. Once his back was turned, Danielle then felt a tug and saw Avis and Corona give her an encouraging nod. She has to speak up now or else she would lose their new teammate. With a deep breath, Danielle walked over to the Mawile and knelt down besides him. "Wait a minute, Mawile. I know I didn't make a good first impression, but I would really, really appreciate it if you could join my team. As you can see," she gestured to Avis and Corona, "We have a huge weakness against Rock types, which is something you're good with. And... Um... Considering what you have done for us so far... I think I might be able to overcome my fear by being with you so... Will you come with us?" She held out a Great Ball to emphasize her point. The Fairy type Pokemon glanced at the capsule at first before he gave a smirk. Instead of going to the entrance, he went back to the wide, empty space and pointed to Avis and Corona. "Maw wile! If they wanted him to join their team, they will have to prove their worth.Danielle nodded, snapping the Great Ball back onto her belt and moved towards the other side of the area, making sure to leave a considerable amount of space between them. "Avis, take care of the picture for us! Corona, let's go!" Her two Pokemon responded enthusiastically: Avis stayed by the picture while Corona crawled in front of Danielle to face the Mawile. The Larvesta fired a few flames from her horns, clearly ready for a battle. Likewise, the Mawile snapped its huge jaw and gave a menacing glare at the Larvesta, which made her shiver somewhat."An Intimidator, I see. Alright then, Corona! Start off with an Ember!" Danielle cried. Corona did as she was commanded, firing off little flaming bullets at the vulnerable Steel type. Mawile scoffed as white orbs began to circle around him. Shortly thereafter, the orbs neutralized the Ember attack, rendering the Mawile unharmed.'Hidden Power? How odd, but effective, nonetheless.' "Let's see if you can handle a Flame Charge then!" the coordinator declared. Corona was immediately covered with fire as she charged straight into the fairy. The Mawile gasped as she crashed into him at such velocity; it sent him crashing into the wall behind him. The impact emitted a cloud of smoke that surrounded the victim.Shortly afterwards, Danielle and Corona heard sniffling and crying from the Mawile's direction. Corona and Danielle looked on in shock as the seemingly tough Mawile came back into the field with tears in his eyes. "H-Hey, umm... Sorry about that..." Danielle began to apologize as Corona began to walk over to the crying Pokemon. In a flash, the Mawile smirked and fired off another Hidden Power that hit Corona squarely on her face. He then laughed at his successful trick.Danielle couldn't help but admire that little fairy. Despite the type disadvantage, he was handling himself pretty well. "Not bad at all, but we are not finished yet. Corona, charge forward again!" The Larvesta quickly shook herself before launching into another Flame Charge. This time, the Mawile was ready: He turned his back to his opponent and opened up his signature jaw to trap Corona in, but that was exactly what Danielle was waiting for.As the two halves of the horn squeezed Corona, Danielle ordered one last command to her Larvesta. "Caught you, Mawile! Now, Corona! Fiery pin wheel!" Corona cloaked herself once more in a Flame Charge, which made the Mawile release to avoid burning himself. Before he could get away, Corona leapt up and spun around while she transitioned into firing off the Ember stream, which covered most of the field. The Mawile cried in agony as the searing flames continued to lick his metallic frame before he finally collapsed onto the ground.Danielle snatched up the Great Ball and threw it onto the Mawile's head; the capsule then absorbed the exhausted Pokemon in a flash of red light and began to wiggle around on the cavern floor.One...Two...Three...Ping!Danielle sighed with relief as her Pokemon cheered. She actually caught a Fairy Pokemon, who knew? Danielle went over to the Great Ball and released the Mawile. He let out a satisfied cry as she gave him and Corona each a Sitrus Berry. Avis came over to join them, carrying the masterpiece firmly in her talons. "So, let's see..." Danielle said out loud as she took out the Pokedex. "Well, first off, welcome to the team! Now, I just need to give you a name... How about Athena, after the goddess of wisdom and war?" The Mawile seemed offended at the suggestion; he gave a glare at Danielle before he turned away from her, still eating the berry all the while. "O-Okay, that's a no..." Danielle then preceded to scan the Pokedex on her Mawile's information. She then laughed after she realized her mistake. "I get it; you're a guy. No wonder you're offended." She saw his steel mandibles nod to confirm her statement. "Fine, then I have another good name for you. Zared, which means the deceiver. How is that?"The Mawile considered "Zared" for a moment, chewing on his last bite of the berry. The reasoning behind it seems fair enough, and the name doesn't sound too bad. The Mawile finally turned back around to face his coordinator and gave a smile to say he accepted it."Great! So Zared it is then!" The coordinator checked the moves that the Mawile has as they finished up eating. "I saw Hidden Power Water and Fake Tears... Bite, Iron Head, Fairy Wind and... Pain Split? Hey, Zared, why didn't you use that before? You could have given me a hard time with that." The Mawile shrugged. Truth be told, Zared sort of liked Danielle's company; he felt important to know that he could help her overcome her fear, so why_not go along for the ride?"Thanks, Zared, really." Danielle smiled as she stared out into the lake. 'Maybe fairies really aren't bad after all. It's just those in my hometown... That's good to know.' Commander
"You'll know when she's ready. Just have a bit of faith in yourself," spoke Henry. Meanwhile, Henry's Vulpix was watching the scene unfold. The Eevee scarred the heck out of Burrows as he burried his head underground, but left the rest of his body above. The Togepi took this as a ground opportunity to tap the Eevee before quickly fleeing. The Vulpix thought the game looked rather fun and began wagging his tail a bit. Henry looked down and noticed his Pokemon's actions. "Go on. I'm sure they'd love to have you join." He watched as the Vulpix slowly backed away from the group of Pokemon. "Zuko, you're not a monster so stop hating yourself and have a bit of fun. If anything you should hate me." Zuko turned his head and pretended like he didn't hear anything. "Zuko, you're not going to hurt anyone, I promise." The Pokemon still ignored him. Close by, a little Venonat was chomping on some berries. She saw the saddened Pokemon and walked over to him and even offered him one of her precious berries. The Vulpix declined which didn't seem to bother her as she continued munching on her prize. Seeing this, Henry quickly opened his sack and noticed a bunch of little rocks had replaced what used to be berries. If only she applied this much effort into battling. She'd be unstoppable. Henry snapped himself out of the trance and quickly turned back to Evan, "I'm sorry about that whole episode. Back in Orre, I pretty much ignored Zuko causing him to become very aggressive and even attacked Pokemon that were considered house pets. He still takes it pretty hard on himself." Zephyrus the Priestess
The stare-off was intense. On one side was Raiza's team: Lucifer on the left, Toothless in the center, and Rogue on the right. The other team, having happily consented to battling the strange, new Pokemon: Horsea on the left, Goomy in the center, and Bidoof on the right, having imitated their opponents' formation. Lucifer looked down upon the opposing team; Toothless rasped, evidently excited for another battle; Rogue, the cool, collected one of the three, watched the wild Pokemon with the sharp eyes of a predator. Similarly, the Horsea, though she was bubbly and playful earlier, had a determined look on her face; the slimeball in the middle waved his antennae leisurely, certain he'd get a nice hug from the human after playtime; the buck-toothed Pokemon stared blankly. "Thanks again, you guys, for agreeing to help us with our training," Raiza said, with a small smile. "That doesn't mean we're going to go easy-- and I hope you guys won't either, pon! Lucifer, go! Scatter them with Flame Burst! Toothless, get ready to Bite when they get close! Rogue, you round 'em up when they scatter, keep 'em back with Fury Swipes!" The Litwick complied immediately, his fire growing in size and luminosity until he hurled it at the center Pokemon, Goomy-- this battle was as good as done, to Lucifer. Simultaneously, Rogue went into motion, darting around the field, leaping on and off surfaces that weren't the sticky, muddy swamp, ready to catch any of the Pokemon that would flee. Instead of scattering, however, all three Pokemon held their ground. In defense, the Goomy shielded itself, saving it from any damage, though smaller balls of fire hurtled towards its teammates. Curling up, the Bidoof sat out the miniature napalm shower, and a little tornado kicked up, courtesy of the Water-type, repelling the rest of the fire and hurling it back at Raiza's team. "Toothless, hold on tight! Rogue, Icy Wind and blow the embers away! Lucifer, Minimize!" The attack had backfired, literally-- Rogue arrived just in time to keep most of the fireballs from pelting herself and her teammates, who braced themselves for impact. Wait, no, just like that Horsea, we could-- "Rogue, keep the Twister there for Toothless to use Dragonbreath on! Lucifer, Flame Burst again!" The Candle Pokemon flung flame just as the Deino breathed over the now half-frozen small tornado, redirecting the attack towards the enemy team. Little did any of the seven know that a Poison-Bug type watched intently from the cover of some cattail plants...
Chim
Jory Trapinch didn’t waste any seconds. It dug a tunnel and disappeared underground. Instead of popping up under the Charmander, it went for a surprise attack from the left and used sand-attack to blind its opponent. TurboAura and Tacos Alvin mused. “Well, if you’re serious about adding a Bug type I can give you some advice based on your other team members?” His tone was completely serious. The guy in front of him seemed like a decent person even if he didn’t end up adding a Bug Pokémon to his team. Heracross eye caught a shiny Bagon not far from them. The Fighting bug walked over and yelled a loud “Heraaa!” to challenge it. Commander Eevee quickly chased after the Togepi but made sure to stay behind it. Every now and then it jumped and missed on purpose before eventually tapping Zuko and running away. “No problem. You sound like you’ve been through a lot so I won’t bother you about it. But your Vulpix doesn’t look like a monster to me.” Evan was curious about what happened but decided not to push Henry into telling him. After all this was Henry’s business, not his. His hand went back into his pocket and he grabbed the water stone firmly. Time ran out and he had to make a decision soon.
TurboAura
Help choosing a bug type? It's not like he was opposed to such, but... "While I do appreciate the offer, I'm not really one to choose my teammates before hand. I moreso find the pokemon itself that sticks out to me, not the species. Any type matchups I work on second. The main reason I stick to that is so I don't look over something if I'd just be focused on a specific pokemon." While Robert was doing his best to explain his 'ideals,' he realized that a little reccomendation wouldn't really be that bad. Not as if he HAD to follow it. "Although, I guess there's nothing really wrong with a little reccomendation. Who knows, it may work out as if a 'certain one' I find is that kind of Pokemon. Who knows." Giving into the frame of 'eh, why_not,' he stepped back a bit and released his party in front of him. Voltage was a bit negative when he noticed all of them were let out, making it obvious that this wasn't a battle. They didn't even have any training this morning due to being at the campsite. Jetstream flew up to Robert's shoulder when he realized such and looked around at the Salamence's home. Kiai and Nikki just turned to him, as it's not like they expected much when Robert had used the last Pokeball on Jet yesterday. "Well, my team's a Riolu, Elekid, Goomy and Noibat. I think that's all you need for a the 'team reccomendation'" They all looked to him, finally understanding that this was just a friendly introduction. At the very least, there was interest set in by someone new, so that's a plus. They all turned back to Alvin, wondering what the boy planned to say. Tacos
Victoria was startled when a Heracross suddenly approached her, issuing a challenge. She looked up at Ryan, letting out a squeal, questioning her own abilities. Ryan looked back down at her, giving her a reassuring look. "Are you up for the challenge?" Victoria let out another squeal, accepting Heracross's challenge. She leapt out of Ryan's arms and stood in front of Heracross, prepared for the fight. Jory
Jacob watched the Trapinch go underground and smirked. I have the advantage here. I know exactly what this thing is capable of. He would never attack directly immediately. Spitfyre is way too fast for that. "Spitfyre, be on your guard!" he shouted. Suddenly the Trapinch popped up. "Use Dragon Rage to blow right throw that sand cloud!" he ordered. The Charmander quickly spat a ball of blue flame toward the Trapinch, the sheer force of the attack blowing the sand away from the fire-type and continuing toward the Trapinch. Commander
The Venonat saw Zuko being tagged, but the Pokemon didn't react. The Venonat tapped Zuko and then headed into the group. While she couldn't move fast, she maneuvered herself to sneak behind the Drilbur and tap him. The Drilbur tried tagging the Venonat back, but the little bug maneuvered around to just barely dodge his claws. "Looks can be deceiving, but he's really not that much different from any other Vulpix." Henry noticed the Vulpix began watching the tag game again. He looked over and noticed a blue shiny rock in Evan's hand. "Is that a Water Stone? I'm guessing that's for your Eevee."
Chim
Jory The Trapinch ducked back in the hole to avoid the Dragon Rage attack. It made its way underground until it was right under the Charmander and created a pitfall. The sand under Charmander gave in as Trapinch popped back up and started to create a Sand Tomb. TurboAura and Tacos Alvin studied Robert’s team. He was being serious about the advice, even if the boy in front of him didn’t take it, and didn’t notice his Heracross took off to challenge a Bagon. “Bug types have three major weaknesses. Flying is covered by that Elekid and fire is resisted by Dragons. I’d say a bug type that isn’t weak to Rock could be an interesting pick,” he concluded. “Heracross, Durant, Scizor, Forretress and Escavalier immediately come to mind. What about one of them?” Speaking about Heracross; the one challenging Victoria didn’t waste any time. Her horn started to glow as she flew at high speed towards her target; ready to hit it with a Horn Attack. Commander Evan hadn’t even noticed his hand was out of his pocket. “Huh? Oh yeah,” he said ignoring his previous thoughts. “Eevee reacted enthusiastic after seeing a picture of a Vaporeon and loves the water. So I figured to evolve him into a Vaporeon and he agreed. I think all I need to do right now is give it to him…” The same thought had been playing though his mind for a few days now, but something held him back. Maybe it was best to throw this one away and go get a new one at Professor Redwood’s lab?
Tses
Sissy looked a bit worried about Robert, and her worriness become more once both students let out their pokemon. Is he attracted by the bugs? She turned back at Sofia. "Now that I think more of it, he might end up in trouble. I should head back at him. Anytime you need a rescue call me." She started walking towards the two boys when her eyes picked a battle that was about to begin. A Heracross and a Bagon, and moreover Ryan. This might not end up good. She kept walking until she reached the students. "Sorry for being late." She looked at Robert and then back at Alvin. "Am I interrupting anything?" Tacos
Victoria was immediately intimidated when the Heracross lunged at her. Out of instinct she opened her mouth to scream. Except this time, she forgot that she was releasing flames from the back of her mouth. They consumed her canines coating them in flickering embers. Ryan realized what was happening. "Victoria, Dragon Dance into Fire Fang!" Victoria did a small spin, pushing off of her left leg, away from the incoming Horn Attack, and then lunged at the Heracross's side, attempting to sink her flaming teeth into it. TurboAura
Hearing Alvin's recommendations, it seemed to Robert that Alvin's love of bug wasn't as much of an 'obsession' as much of it being a preference, being that he actually worked around any weakness instead of just grabbing whatever looked good. "Hmm, that does sound true. Either way, Kiai being a fighting type would give Rock coverage even if a bug I get were weak to Rock." Jet, being bored by what seemed like rambling to him, still searched around the area to find something more interesting, which he found in the battle between a Heracross and a Bagon. While Jet was watching it intently, Robert heard Sissy coming up to them. Was she just interested how the 'distraction plan' turned into this, or was she done with whatever she could do for Sofia? "Nothing really private. Alvin was just giving me some team reccomendations. Pretty good ones in fact." During that statement, Robert caught a glimpse of the same battle as Jet, turning back to Alvin to see the Heracross wasn't there. "Uh, Alvin, I think that your Heracross left during the conversation and is in a battle." He pointed to where the battle was, assuming that it happened without Alvin's knowledge. DarkLight
Danielle stood by the entrance of the cave waiting for Zared's eyes to adjust to the brightly-lit, outside world. Avis and Corona had already gone out to find some honey-covered trees while Zared was shielding his ruby-red eyes with the two ear-like extensions on his head. Although the Mawile showed no intention of harming her or the others, Danielle still clutched onto the picture tightly to her chest, refusing to pet him despite his job well done. She knew this nervousness was an irrational fear by now, but she still couldn't bring herself to accept Zared fully just yet. After a few minutes of awkward silence, Zared slowly released his two black straps and began take in the view of the forest. It was certainly different from the browns, blacks and the blues that his cave has to offer; the forest was filled with all sorts of colors that he never saw before! He took a tentative step onto the grass before he looked up at his trainer. Seeing her give an approving nod, Zared began to walk more confidently onto the crunching leaves and flowers as he heard the various cries and sounds of the Pokemon around him. The beautiful, clear blue sky above them elicited a cry of awe from the cave-dweller. This was nothing like the water he had seen inside his home! He tried to reach for it with his small hands before he heard Danielle giggle at his attempt. "That's the sky, Zared. It gives water to us, but it is not something we can touch." The Mawile gave a small cry and put his hands down; he proceeded to walk around the nearby trees to examine them and, occasionally, giving a few of them a bite with his huge jaws to test out its strength. Zared found himself disappointed each time as he released the tree trunk; ten deep teeth marks are now visible on each of those trees. These brown rock-like formations are not as hard as the boulders found in the cave. He then heard Danielle approach him before she explained his discovery. "And those are trees, not rocks. The things growing at our feet are grass and flowers and the leaves came from these trees." Zared nodded as she pointed each of the objects out; this world is, indeed, fascinating. The duo finally heard Avis coming back to tell them the good news. The Murkrow pointed to their right to indicate her findings before they all ran towards that direction. As soon as they stopped, they could see Corona was clinging onto a tree chirping at them. Next to her white and red body was a patch of sticky, yellow substance that smelled really sweet - Honey! "Way to go, you two!" she congratulated her two Pokemon, giving them each a pat on the head. Danielle quickly put down her belongings near that tree and took out a stiff, black feather from her backpack to use as a brush. Once the feather was coated thoroughly, she made quick, brush-like movements onto the collage before she got back up to replenish the used honey. Not to be outdone by his teammates, Zared explored around the area to see if he could help, too. As it so happens, his foot bumped into what appears to be a glass bottle with some left over yellow goo in it. He picked up and sniffed its content: It smelled just like the honey Danielle was using! He quickly ran back to her with the jar in his horn. "Wile!" Danielle looked up from her work to find Zared running over excitedly. As soon as he stopped in front of her, he turned around and opened his jaw to roll out an almost-empty jar with some honey still sticking to its side and bottom. Zared then closed his second mouth and looked at her with a proud look on his face. "Oh, Zared, this is great! Now I won't have to get up and down to gather the honey! Thank you so much!" Pleased with her Mawile's finding, she raised her hand to give him a pat on his head - but her hand suddenly froze right when Danielle was about to touch him. Her heart began beating really fast and her hand was starting to shake. Danielle’s hand quickly retreated back to its owner from the confused Mawile. “I’m… going to go and get the honey…” After giving an apologetic glance to her new teammate, Danielle got up and began to scrap the honey into the empty, glass jar from the tree. Zared continued to stare after his coordinator, stuck rooted on the spot. “Maw…” he finally said despondently. Although he understands that Danielle fears fairies, he still couldn’t help but feel a bit down when he didn’t get her full praise. Sensing his discontent, Avis hopped to his side and gave him a pat on the back and began to explain to him that Danielle was doing a lot worse before she met him in their Pokemon language. When Zared gave her a questioning look, Avis sighed and began to tell him the back story. Danielle allowed the conversation to continue as she sat back down to finish the honey coating. She tried not to look at her Mawile, whose disappointed expression pained her to the core. “Larvesta~” she heard Corona chirped on the tree. Danielle turned to look at Corona, who pointed to the duo that was deep in conversation. When the human girl faced the Murkrow and the Mawile, she found the Mawile nodding at certain points in Avis’ monologue. He didn’t seem upset now; Zared’s normally tough and polite demeanor seemed to give way to a softer, concerned expression. Danielle turned her attention back to the nature collage that is sitting on her legs and proceeded to finish off the bottom half of the petals with her honey-soaked feather, having a good idea of what Avis was telling the newcomer. She will leave it to Zared to decide what to do with her situation.
Zephyrus the Priestess
After another round of throwing tornadoes at each other, Raiza decided they'd have to resort to another strategy. These wild Pokemon were pretty smart and held their formation just like her team's-- Toothless was the slowest, but, according to his stats, he was the best physical attacker of the three. Like the Knight of the team. Lucifer was the Mage or Spellcaster, backing up Toothless with his special attacks, and Rogue was the Assassin, doing most of the speeding around to intercept attacks. Now, not only were these three with a type advantage over her Pokemon and aligned to the Pokemon that they were strong against, but it seemed that they knew their strengths and arranged themselves in an optimal formation. The Trainer snapped her fingers-- the Horsea was the problem as she would deflect Lucifer's attacks with Twister or douse them. "Got it," Raiza said. "Lucifer, Rogue! Aurora Borealis!" Immediately, the Sneasel got to it, whipping up frigid winds, while spots of light flashed in different colors, courtesy of the Litwick. Glamorous lights streaked across the now frosty air towards the opposing trio-- again, in an attempt to deflect the oncoming attack, Horsea whipped up a wind of its own, blowing away the cold tempest... only to be dazzled by the lights along with her teammates. "Light works differently, see, pon? All right, while they're dazed! Toothless, Earth Power!" Complying with gusto, the Dark-Dragon cried out, bringing his front legs down, the earth cracking and exploding before the trio. The movement of the ground discombobulated them even further and dealt some good damage-- now they just had to finish the job. Then a clicking, chirping noise sounded. Raiza turned, and recognized the pincers and tail. "A Skorupi? What's it doing here, pon? Time out, guys! This little critter might get caught in all this," she cried out as she ran to the Pokemon before it'd get caught in the fire. Immediately, the Deino followed, bounding over, to sniff the new scent, while Rogue and Lucifer held their positions as their opponents recovered. The latter warmed up the air again back to its normal humidity-- he knew Dragons didn't really like the cold, and he didn't want to be attacked by a full-fledged adult Dragonite, no matter how goofy it looked. Something big was coming. It looked like a mean Heatmor-- without a long tongue, which was strange. Nevertheless it was probably coming to eat her... but she wasn't about to go down without a fight. The Skorupi raised its tail defensively, hissing at Raiza, thinking that the latter must've followed her from home, back in the desert. "Shh, shh, hey, I'm not going to hurt you," said the Heatmor. Which, again, was strange-- Heatmor aren't supposed to be able to talk. Maybe it was something more dangerous. The Poison-Bug type held her ground firmly, waving her pincers up as if to nip at Raiza. Aurorix
As soon as Flare was in front of Slade he gave an angry growl and face. The frog was a bit frightened but wasn't gonna let his fear get to him. He quickly created a big cloud of black smoke to hind where he was. "Ha, you think that'll protect you?" Slade laughed, "Flare use agility and run around that smokescreen!" Flare's rushed round and round the smoke cloud while leaving a trail of blueish white light behind him. He then made a tornado of wind and lifted the smoke but the Frokie was gone. Then suddenly ball of water, which then bursted into a wave, came right from Flare's left side making a direct hit. "Quickly, Flare send a Flame burst straight at Frokie!" Flare charged up and shot a ball of flame right at the frog but it was easily dodged. The Frokie then ran straight for Flare, and.... licked... him.... ew. "Flare quickly while he's in front of you, Fire Fang!" Flare quickly regained his composure and bite the Frog. He then cringed as the flaming fangs dung into him. The frog then gave a really high pitched noise that could make your ears bleed. Flare began to whine as the noise rang through his ears. "Flare quickly through Frokie onto the ground, then slam it with Reversal!" Slade said covering his ears. Flare quickly slammed the frog onto the ground and blue orbs started to surround him. Once the went into Flare he slammed onto the frog with all his might. The Frokie stumbled to get up and jumped away. He then started to glow white and began morphing into something different. 'Is this what evolution looks like?' Slade thought to himself as the Frokie was evolving. Then when the light went away the Frokie had changed into Frogadier. He then fired off another orb of water which then bursted into a wave but this time they were ready. "Use agility to dodge the attack then use take down!" Flare once again rushed at Blazing speeds and jumped over the wave of water. Then the blue orbs appeared once again and back into his body as he slammed right into the Frogadier. The bigger frog, now more wounded could now barely stand up and was at it's limits. "Nows my chance," Slade said to him self, He then grabbed his one Great ball and threw it right at the Frog. It turned red and went into the blue ball. One... Two... Three... Click! Slade then walked to and grabbed the blue ball. He was silent for a moment then started to cheer, "YES! I CAUGHT IT!" Flare then joined him in his little victory dance. After they were finished mucking around Slade let out the Frogadier. The pokemon couldn't even look at Slade, ashamed he lost to a kid and a FIRE type of all types. Slade then reached into his bag and grabbed two Oran berries one for Flare and the other for his newly caught pokemon. "Eat up you two," he said holding out both berries for the pokemon. Flare gladly ate the berry seeing as how he was robbed of his three times, though the frog seemed a little hesitant. "Aren't you gonna eat it?" Slade asked the Frogadier not even bothering to look back at him."Speaking of which, we need a nickname for you, hmmm..." Slade thought for a moment, "How about Sasuke? That's a cool name for you right?" He asked the Frog. Frogadier just responded by eating the berry. "I guess I'll take that as a yes!" Slade said pumpped as ever, "Now, do any of know where we are and how to get back to the group?" He asked looking around. Sasuke then jumped into a near by tree and did a beckoning motion, as to say to follow him. He did live here after all so he should know his way around, at least that's what's Slade is hoping for. The three then made their way back to the group, hopefully.
Jory
Jacob grinned as the Trapinch went for Sand Tomb, his Charmander beginning to sink down toward the Trapinch. That's exactly what I would've done. Lucky for me, I know my own strategies. "Alright, Spitfyre, now's your chance! Aim an Incinerate attack right down that Trapinch's hole and flush him out, then follow up with Dragon Rage!" he ordered. The Charmander breathed in deeply and released a plume of blazing hot fire down the Trapinch's burrow in an attempt to flush him out. As the attack continued the flames in his mouth changed from an orange to blue hue as he prepared for the overheated Trapinch to resurface. Sutoratosu
Java stared at Claude as the Torkoal walked over, seeming to issue a challenge to the two of them. He was confident he could hold his own for at least a while against this thing if he fought like he normally did; wait for first blood to be drawn by the otherside, then Convert and begin his own offensive and not stop until the fight was finished or he couldn't go on anymore... But the challenge he could see in the Turtle's eyes was obviously directed at both of them, meaning he'd have to work together with this particular human in Mareek's place... would the flamboyant trainer be up for it? Support Squad Felicity Posted November 22, 2014 Support Squad Share Posted November 22, 2014 Claude, still disoriented from the smoke, saw the Torkoal march up to Him and the pokemon. "Hehe, I like turtles" He giggled to himself. He was about to walk off when Lance tried to grab Claudes attention. When he failed, the pokemon flew into a rage, running up to the Torkoal and launching a flurry of furious attacks at the pokemon. Claude immediately turned around and barked an order to Lance "Get away now before the damn turtle burns you to a crisp!"
Sutoratosu
Java rolled his eyes when Lance charged in and blindly started to try attacking the Fire Tortoise. Apparently the bug wasn't all that bright, getting up close and personal with a Fire Type like that... looks like Java would have to do something to draw the things attention away and make sure it didn't get fried to a crisp. The porygon turned on the Turtle as Lance kept attacking, firing off a weak intensity psybeam, not meant to hurt, but rather to just draw the thing's mind away from the idiotic bug type... Chim
Jory The fire attack was enough to draw Trapinch out of the ground and let the Dragon Rage hit successfully. The ground type shook his big head to shake it off and opened his mighty jaws and ran towards his opponent; ready to take a Bite out of the Charmander TurboAura, Tses and Tacos “Oh yes, I forgot about the extra Steel type Riolu gets after evolution as well,” Alvin mumbled. He scratched his chin while thinking and didn’t notice Sissy coming over. “But that makes things easier as you can fit most Bug Pokémon in you- huh? Hera? No she’s right ne-“he turned around to see his Heracross and noticed she was gone just like Robert said. His eyes quickly scanned his surroundings and saw a Bagon lunging at Hera with a Fire Fang. “Dodge it!” Alvin yelled while running over. He had no idea how she got into the fight but a part of him was really excited. He looked forward battling with her and seized the opportunity. The Heracross listened well as she barely managed to dodge the incoming thread. “Retaliate with an Arm Thrust!” Heracross flew up and landed behind the Bagon with her claws ready to release a barrage of fast attacks. Surge and Lucky Elf Torkoal took Lance’s attacks as the start of their battle. The Bug barely managed to scratch the tortoise. “Toorkooaal!” the fire type yelled proudly before being hit by the weak Psybeam coming from the weird floating thing. Did it want to battle as well? But why go for such a weak attack? Maybe it underestimated him? Torkoal didn’t like that idea and went full power. A flamethrower came out from its mouth and by moving its neck it could reach both opponents at the same time.
