Ow. Now that was extremely loud and incredibly close. "Love hurts," Raiza muttered, monotonously as usual, checking Henry all over for further injuries while preparing another ice pack. "All right, I think you're good for the time being. This--" she handed him the second pack-- "is for your leg, in case it's sore. Apply it when it throbs like hell. That should do till we get to a proper doctor, or till you get a good bed. If you need somethin', send Lucifer." The Candle Pokemon hovered around their patient, happy for another chance to observe this strange soul. "Rogue, you come with me; there might be some students with broken arms, ribs, or whatever." "Snee!" Both Trainer and Sneasel set off, Raiza soon after crouching to a nearby doubled-over student.

Zared appeared to be pleased with Slade's reaction to his little fun. He let out a chuckle or two before he sat himself down besides a gleeful Corona, content to leave them alone for now. Avis, in the meantime, perched on Sasuke's arm after getting over her initial surprise at his disappearance. She certainly was impressed with his agility and wouldn't mind learning a thing or two from him.

"Y-Yes, he does." Danielle agreed, trying to not to laugh out loud at Slade's messed up look. She reached over and took the fedora to put onto her own head. Once it's settled, she began to brush up his hair, giggling all the while. Despite his bizarre state, he still looked pretty handsome. It's always those eyes that captivated her somehow. 'Eyes... Wait, those Team Rocket crooks only had their eyes visible...' That thought brought Danielle back into the real world. She found that Raiza has left to take of the other incapacitated students, leaving her with the Pokemon, Slade, and Henry. "Hey, Slade, I think you might want to tell Professor Cadmus about Team Rocket. I'm sure he would want to know about this if he hadn't already. If not... I guess we could go help the other students..." She did look towards Henry uncertainly as she spoke, wondering if he will be alright on his own now.

Slade stood there speechless as Danielle began fixing his hair. He didn't mind it, it was just someone never did something like this for him. Slade noticed that Danielle was starring at him, like she was day dreaming which made him feel kinda awkward, but she was soon out of it.

"Hey, Slade, I think you might want to tell Professor Cadmus about Team Rocket. I'm sure he would want to know about this if he hadn't already. If not... I guess we could go help the other students..."

Slade then sprung up as he remebered what Pheobe told him to do, "Oh yea, thanks for reminding me!" He said brushing off dirt from his jeans. "Pheobe told me to relay that information to Devin. I'll be right back to help this'll only take a moment." Slade then looked towards Sasuke, "Sasuke, stay here and help Danielle. Oh, and before I forget..." Slade then grabbed two pokeballs from his belt, "Flare, Xemnas come on out!" He said and he threw the two balls into the air. They then both appeared side-by-side to each other and they let out a little cry in unison. "Ok you two help care for people," He then turned to Danielle, "May I place the burden of introductions to you, and I'll be taking that." He said as he took the his fedora and walked over the Devin. As he reached the professor he stated, "Devin, Phoebe wanted me to mention something to you." He then relayed all the info on the Team Rocket members and the incident.

Henry watched as Danielle left and began talking to Slade. He took little interests in it until Slade dropped a certain word Rocket. Henry couldn't really hear much of it, but it was enough to get a general idea. He couldn't help but turn his head in disbelief. Why would the Rockets reveal their re-revival to this moron? These people put forth great effort to hide every track perfectly...unless...Henry had a grin on his face. I'll admit it, I'm intrigued. His thoughts prevented him from even realizing that Raiza gave him some instructions before leaving.

"Wick, wick," cried out a happy Lucifer. It was about time Henry removed the pack from his ribs. The Litwick tugged on the rib pack as though to tell the boy that he had to move it. How strange that this originally bland-tasting soul grew sweet and sour... how peculiar, indeed.

Meanwhile, Raiza moved from student to student, checking on those that couldn't move. There were a few unlucky ones who'd broken their limbs. "We're gonna need some splints here!" she would call out from time to time. Why was she doing this, anyway? Not like she cared about these students. What if somebody asked her that? Guess I ought to think of an answer, she thought.

At the camp

Tyron and Alastair gathered all the volunteers and split them into two groups. Mareek, Kenny, Lana and James went with Tyron while Robert, Jacob and Claude formed a search party with Alastair. The two groups quickly split up.

Group Tyron (Surge, K_H, Azery)

What the students didn’t know was that Tyron and Alastair made secret plans. Alastair would go and search the place where Evan fell and most likely would be, while Tyron took his students to the area in between Evan and the previous mentioned Team Rocket members. Right after they split from Alastair’s group Tyron instructed everyone to keep their eyes out for suspicious situations, footprints and even pieces of cloth. It took them a while before they actually found anything but after half an hour off searching Tyron motioned his group to stop.

Team Rocket got sloppy. One of the thorn bushes hung a piece of black cloth. Two meters further was half a footprint. Tyron was certain it didn’t belong to a student or a Ranger as they wore specific shoes.

Group Alastair (Jory, Turbo, Elf)

The group finally arrived at the place where they suspected Evan would be. “We’re here. Keep a close eye on everything that moves and the ground. The chances are high that Evan is lying somewhere knocked out.”

A rustling sound not far from them caught Alastair’s attention. “Evan?” the breeder asked.

No response. Instead a Dragonite showed up and shook his head. He waved his hand in a following motion and flew slowly in front of the search party and led them to where Evan fell. Broken twigs, flat bushes and even a stone with blood showed where the student tumbled down, right to a place where a body had been lying earlier. The print was still fresh but Evan was nowhere to be seen.

A weird set of footprints were all over the place like something had been circling around him. Alastair inspected them and mumbled ‘Skarmory’ before turning his attention to the students. “This is bad. Either Evan is awake and has no idea where he his and got lost or…” he sighed and almost whispered. “Or they took him.”

Murdoc and ExLink

In his haste to get this conversation over with Devin realized too late he used Kages nickname. It wasn’t like him but something about this whole situation just didn’t feel right. The Donphan that went on a rampage and injured students, Dragonite that still hadn’t returned with news about Evan Reeves… He felt like he failed to protect the students twice in a row. He sighed after hearing Kages heated answer, but was interrupted by Slade.

“Team Rocket approached you?” he asked surprised. Yet another suspicious situation that didn’t make any sense… “Thank you for telling me this. I’m sure Professors Arlyn and Silva will handle the situation. In the meantime all I can do is keeping an eye out here.” I doubt that was really Team Rocket. They weren’t that smart in the past and there hasn’t been any report they crossed Ymora’s borders. The remaining members should be keeping a low profile at the black market in Johto and Kanto… What’s really going on here? I need to talk with Professor Redwood!

Devin’s face showed no emotion and he waited until Slade left. If those criminals were still running around he had to do something to ensure the students safety. He wouldn’t be caught off guard for a second time. His senses were on high alert when he turned back to Kage. “Kageharu,” this time the authority was back in his voice, “I can understand you didn’t want us to make a fuss about it. However I’m disappointed you didn’t trust the staff. We could’ve helped you out by giving you headphones when you had to read something.” He put his hand on Kages shoulder and smiled a little. “Let us help you just a little. And may I add that I’m impressed you managed to fool us for so long? I’m pretty sure none of the other staff members suspect anything. I take it Lucas helped you out whenever you had to write or read something?”

"Well, if they took him, we go get him back. A simple choice of action, but the only one available to us, no?" Claude suggested. He didn't like the idea of a skarmory, steel types he didn't like, though he didn't bear a fear of them. He'd fight, even with that damn bird around.

Without a word to anyone else, Mareek plucked the piece of cloth out of the bush and began examining it. Nemo stood right by his side, meanwhile Erce and Java had both taken up positions in the air for the search. "So Slade was completely right then..." He thought to himself, turning the torn article of fabric over in his hand. After a moment more of his examination though, the boy handed the thing off to Tyron. "I think this is definitely from a Rocket uniform, sir..." then turning to his two flyers. "You two, land and start searching this area for anything else that might've been dropped."

The Scyther and Porygon did as ordered, coming down and fanning out around the place, Erce going to work rummaging through various nearby bushes while Java set off with a more efficient method of simply using Lock-On to try to find anything out of the ordinary...

((Do they find anything else?))

Looking at the area the Dragonite had led them to, it seemed obvious that even if Evan COULD have gotten up after all of what was known happened, the footprints around the 'imprint' meant that those people, and apparently a Skarmory from what he heard from Alistair, had gotten here before their group did either way.

"Well, if they took him, we go get him back. A simple choice of action, but the only one available to us, no?"

"Seems that way. Whether someone else has him or not, he defidently shouldn't be moving around in such a condition. And if these people are as threatening as they're described... Well, that just gives us more incentive."

Jacob sighed as they approached the area and Alastair muttered "Skarmory." Where could he have gone? he wondered. Still, it's so cool to see a Dragonite in person! he thought to himself. He kept looking around, beginning to search the area for clues. Arete toddled around behind her Trainer, searching for things lower to the ground.

Claude was looking around when he saw Arete searching too. He fought the urge to fawn over it and spoke to Jacob. "Is that little baby going to be safe if we get into a fight?" He asked out of concern.

Danielle gave a pout as Slade walked off with his fedora, leaving her hair in a mess. As the Pokemon approached her side, Danielle regained her composure and brushed her hair back in place before she introduced Zared to Xemnas and Flare. While Slade's Pokemon appeared to be at ease with the newcomer, Zared was more cautious, being a Steel type after all. "Don't worry, they won't harm you unless we are battling them." she reassured her Mawile. The said Pokemon appeared to be more relaxed afterwards and gave a polite greeting to them.

As the group began their conversation, Danielle looked back at Henry before she left. A chill ran down her spine when she saw the Orre boy grin for some reason. She also noticed her Murkrow giving a suspicious glance from Sasuke's arm, crowing something to the Frogadier all the while. Danielle considered whether or not she would confront him; he is friendly enough to her despite his acclaimed jealousy, but she also knew that he liked his privacy, as evidenced by his smart mouth when Ryan and Kage had approached them. After hearing a few calls from Raiza, Danielle decided to leave him be and let the Pokemon group to follow her. 'I guess he is okay if he is snapping at the others again. That is enough progress for now; he seems to be lost in his own world again, so anything I say won't really effect him. Plus, Lucifer is around to watch over him just in case.' After a few words with Raiza, Danielle and the Pokemon proceeded to help the female trainer out with the other injured students.

Jacob looked at Claude and shrugged. "She managed to fight off a Skrelp all on her own earlier. Plus, she could use a bit of training. And even if she can't, I can always recall her and send in one of my heavy hitters. Arete has more than just adorableness to work with. She has the heart of a fighter, and on top of that she seems really attached to me already." He smiled at Claude and laughed lightly. "Don't worry, Claude. You've seen me battle before. I know what I'm doing as far as that's concerned. And if we do run into that Skarmory, I have Spitfyre here to help us out," he said calmly, showing Claude the newly Capsuled Poke Ball. "I think you'll be impressed by how strong this guy is." He looked over to Arete and then back at Claude, speaking in a hushed tone. "I think Spitfyre is going to be the strongest Pokemon I ever catch. Teo is my best friend, but this Charmander... I'm telling you, I've never seen anything like it. It's not just that he wants to win. He wants to be the best and nothing's going to stop him. So I'm going to help him do just that," he finished proudly.

Relieved at Jacobs answer and also happy that Jacob had confidence in himself, he nodded. "Well, that's great to hear. Personally, power doesn't mean much to me. I guess that's why I'm a coordinator. It's strange though. The first two pokemon I catch seem much more suited to trainer battles than contests. A Karrablast and a Tyrunt. Anyway, I'm sorry if I hurt your pride, it's just that baby pokemon are often weak despite their potential when they evolve. Whatever, I'm sure you can handle yourself. Now, let's get back to searching." Claude suggested.

Slade nodded towards the professor and went back to help the injured students. Sasuke however looking now at the bird crowing on his arm gave a look with his eyes as to say, "What is it?" too the small black pokemon.

Since she now got the Frogadier's attention, Avis' eyes darted towards Henry before they returned to Sasuke. The bird then tilted her head and uttered a few cries, as if to ask what is his opinion on the strange boy that is sitting there with a grin on his face. Then she flew off of Sasuke's arm and made a few quick rounds in the air before she landed on the ground by his side. Avis crowed a little louder now; it looks like she was asking him how he managed to move that quickly before.

Sasuke looked over at the boy sitting there with a grin for a few moments. Then he just looked away and gave quick "Deir" as to say he could careless about the boy, just so long as he doesn't do any harm to anyone else. Soon the same bird then flew around a couple of times then landing right by him on the ground. He lowered his arm and noticed the bird was asking another question. This time it was about how was he able to go as fast as he did before. He just let out a little chuckle, "Dier-ier-ier" as to say even if he did tell her he doubt it'd make her faster.

Avis flicked her tail before she began to cry indignantly. How would he know what she can or cannot do? She is a Murkrow, after all!

--------------

Danielle could hear her mischievous partner crowing like there is no tomorrow. She rolled her eyes amusingly before she decided to get Avis and Sasuke's attention. "I know you're having a contest or something, but we need help with the medicine first! So save it for later, okay?" Danielle recommended the two of them. Within a few seconds, Avis was perched on her shoulder once more, ready to help. "Thank you~ Now, hold on to this roll of bandages."

Avis grabbed the white cloth with her beak dutifully. At least she had the brains to make up for her lack of speed.

Jacob chuckled. "It's quite alright. I was actually really worried about Arete during our first battle as well. It's only natural to want to protect a baby like her." He looked over at his Togepi thoughtfully. "I'm really pleased with how close I've gotten with her, though. She sticks on me like white on rice." He then remembered their reason for being there. "Right! Sorry, let's get back to searching." Jacob spread out from Claude, searching for more clues as to where Evan might have gone.

((np DarkLight C; ))

Oblivious to whatever was happening in the background, only knowing that for some reason a Murkrow seemed to be scuffling with a Frogadier, the would-be medic acknowledged Danielle and Slade, occasionally calling for this and that. "It's good we haven't an unconscious customer just yet, innit?" she said. Rogue said nothing, just glancing at her Trainer briefly before conjuring up more ice for a kid with a broken leg. In the short span of time she'd known Raiza, she'd thought her to be reclusive. Which was with proof-- after all she often went out of her way to avoid crowds, climbing a ton of stairs just to have lunch at the rooftop. Now she was going out of her way to help other students, the first time with that Henry person... And here she was reassuring scared students that they would be fine.

I take it Lucas helped you out whenever you had to write or read something?

"Yeah. It's not really the easiest thing in the world, but he managed." He chuckled. "I guess this saves me the explanation of why there's a Braille typewriter in the mail, huh? It'll be nice to actually be able to use my cane, too." Kage sighed. "So, what's the punishment gonna be?"

"Yep, I couldn't agree more! I guess it's a good thing Professor Silva's class had toughened us up~" Danielle replied to the normally reclusive girl as she gave a band-aid to a student. The more Danielle helped around, however, the more she began to wonder about Evan's condition. It has been a while since he fell off the left side (no thanks to her); the coordinator was worried that something bad must have happened to him if it took the team this long to find him. She looked in the direction of where she last saw him, a worried look was plastered on her face. Danielle would probably not hear anyone calling her.

Henry snapped out of his thoughts and noticed a Litwick nearby. He was unamused knowing what the little ghost was up to. "You're a little troublemaker, aren't you? If it's my soul you're after, go ahead and take it. It's the thing that's holding me back anyways. The darn thing keeps telling me that everything I'm doing is wrong and that I can change it all." Henry shook his head with a grin. "If I were a bit younger, I'd believe in it, but that's only a fool's thinking. People can't change. No matter how hard they try, they always go back to their old ways so why bother. I learned that one the hard way."

The Litwick in question just stared at Henry. Why would he want to eat his soul now? Other souls weren't as interesting as he was; consuming it in one swoop would be a waste. Shaking his head, he poked and pointed at the ice pack Henry held to his ribs. "Wick." He tugged it more, trying to get it away from him, before pointing at his other hand like a person would point at his watch.
