Jacob sighed as he looked around for Kristen, wondering where she could have disappeared to. Eventually he gave up and, discouraged, sat down against a tree. He began to think about the things he'd said to Mareek, particularly about him not caring about his Pokemon. That was a low blow. I love my Pokemon to the moon and back. I should have given him the benefit of the doubt instead of exploding on him like that. The young Trainer buried his face in his hands, embarrassed that he'd been so boneheaded as to hurt someone else's feelings without taking his actions' impact into account. Suddenly, a flash of light emanated from his belt and Arete toddled around his legs. The Togepi began making faces at Jacob, trying her best to cheer him up. He smiled weakly and picked up the little egg, hugging her closely. "Thanks for trying to cheer me up, Arete. I feel horrible about the way I made Mareek feel. He's a great battler. I should have put more trust in his abilities and his love for his Pokemon. Instead I made an ass of myself as usual," he said quietly. The Togepi simply hugged her Trainer back, knowing that trying to talk to him was a fruitless effort. All she could do was help him through his self-pity until he felt better, and she was determined to do just that for the Trainer who'd taken her out of the dangerous wild and cared for her like his own family.

Heh,gotcha right where i want you."Shade start charging a large storm of ominous wind,i'll tell you when it's enough!"Shade was his only hope against this litwick and it's frustrating ability to counter every single attack Shade had thrown at it was getting on his nerves. As soon as James saw that Shade had gathered a large enough amount of Ominous wind,he told him to blast it outwards in all Directions."Make it impossible for Litwick to dodge!"He Shouted at the Levitating Specter who started to blast his Shadowy Gusts of influence on all sides.

The hell...? Raiza thought. What, isn't that Duskull getting any tired? Moreover, I thought he was confused? Is the RNG broken or something? All for wanting to try and beat Lucifer... A corner of her lip twitched in irritation, but unless they were watching her intently instead of the battle, nobody would've noticed. "You know, you're really gonna burn out Skull if you keep pushing him like that, pon... But I guess that's not really my call," she said. "Sweetie, let's see if you can figure this out for yourself." Because in all honesty, I can't think of a way out of this beef. The wind's just going to blow out any of his attacks. It seemed as though he was out of tricks, as well; in a last ditch attempt to save himself, his body melted, his way of bracing for impact-- and the disgusting winds hit their mark.

Luckily nobody was near enough to hear Raiza gulp down a squeak, stuffing it back down, as she watched her poor baby get buffeted by the onslaught of repulsive winds.

"The limits of pokemon and trainer....their mere blockades our minds have created to fool us from trying to eat more than we can chew.If our job is to use the bonds we have with our partners to become greats in this world....then limits is a word i will not accept!"James said after hearing what raiza said to him."Sorry,Shade but this thing seems to be finding a way to take all your attacks......grrrr....wait that attack could work!"James thought as he saw the Litwick melt while trying to defend itself from the onslaught of Ominous Wind Attacks."Shade, let up on the Winds and use haze to conceal yourself and hit that Litwick with Feint attack!"He tried but the confusion finally struck and Shade hit himself in confusion momentarily letting up on the Ominous Wind attack."Shade, try to snap out of it please"James shouted but to no avail as the Duskull kept turning around and hitting itself in said confusion."Urgh,in that case,Shade get behind that litwick by using Shadow Sneak and Strike with Feint attack"Was the command that finally reached the Duskull who dissapeared into its shadows, letting up with the shadowy winds and quickly moving towards the Melted Litwick.

"... I'm absolutely sure that there's a reason for the saying 'to bite off more than you can chew', but... If you insist, pon," she shrugged. Amazed that Lucifer withstood the Ominous Wind storm, somehow, although if he took more attacks, he would be done for.

Especially with a move like Feint Attack. Gosh, she should really train Lucifer to use a set of moves with wider coverage.

Bewildered and dazed himself, the Ghost-Fire type swayed a bit on the spot... what a fun time this was. And now the Duskull had the gall to try sneaking up on him to finish the job. With a Dark type move, of all things, after bombarding him with that utterly revolting gust. The candle on his head grew in size and intensity-- Raiza didn't have to tell him what to do to help himself here. He could hear the Trainer loud and clear as well and understand what he was planning. Just as the Duskull was about to strike, the flame exploded, right with the target within range of the explosion. That is, at least Lucifer thought-- and hoped-- so.

It was working, but of course there was always a but,as another Flame Burst exploded just as Shade was about to strike."Heh,nice show.Shade you think you can go on for longer?"James asked his longtime friend and first pokemon to which the Duskull replied by levitating back up with a fierce expression."Ya know,i've kinda been keeping ya on a leash bud.I think it's time to let you do whatever you want in this battle.Don't hold back of course, otherwise our opponents might feel insulted."He said as the Duskull started to let it's influence out once again in the form of a Haze across the field.

And so the gloves come off. How much longer is this going to last? "Lucifer, if you don't feel like it anymore, feel free to stop. But I know you, you're going to go down fighting, aren't you sweetie?" Sparks flew as the Litwick looked at his Trainer with a determined expression on his face. The pride was strong in this one. "All right. I believe in you, Lucifer! Show them--" she punched her fist into her palm-- "what you got!" It was probably one of the rare times that the Trainer displayed such strong emotion with people watching... But Lucifer needed moral support, and he was definitely getting moral support.

With the Haze rolling in, Lucifer returned to his normal shape, yellow eyes burning. In truth he was near close to giving... but he wasn't about to let his opponent know that.

The Tyrunt was too focused on her attacker to dodge. The attack hit her full on, but didn't stop the feisty dragon from lashing out with a savage clamp of the jaws at Sasuke. Kage was calling out orders for her to dodge and retreat, but she wasn't listening to either of tye languages he used.

As Sasuke was returning to the ground he could feel the sting on the jaws of a dragon on his left hip. The dragon's bite was ferocious and if they didn't do something quick Sasuke would be out for the count. "Sasuke, hurry and use Water Pulse on the dragons face!" The frog cringed as he charged a water orb and was ready fire it right to his face a close range. If he didn't release the grip now, he'd have a face filled with water.

With the Haze in place,Shade started to charge up some more ominous wind and just as the litwick returned to it's Solid State,Shade released the deadly winds straight at the Litwick from the right."One of those should finish that litwick off,if it doesnt i'm afraid Shade's done for.A flame burst from that range could definetly finish him off and i don't know if Liona can win this."James thought as the ominous wind neared the Litwick.

How tiresome the battle was getting... but if he relented, he'd let himself down. He'd let Raiza down. Maybe even the Sneasel in the team, for letting their training go to waste. Why, let the winds and the sneak attack he was fairly certain about come; a sphere of Night Shade engulfed him to take the brunt of the winds and steeled himself as the usually offensive attack used as a barrier dissipate.

And the rest of the Ominous Wind hit him.

The Litwick fell. He heard nothing, not even Raiza's scream as she rushed onto the field to catch him.

"Shade, how much power did you put in that ominous wind"James asked the specter as he walked over to Raiza."Hey,is your litwick alright?"He said as the Litwick was deadly still, ironic for a ghost type but dangerous nonetheless."Sorry if it was hurt too hard,i think Shade might have overdone it in his ominous wind again. For some reason that attack always comes out stronger than what is needed and yeah,Shade can't control it.Here use this Sitrus berry"James said as he got the yellow fruit out of his bag.

"... He's going to be okay. Just tired. I think he was pushing himself," she said. The Trainer stroked her Litwick's face gently, his eyes closed, the flame on his head barely lit. "... Thanks, I guess. But I think I'll wake him up later... he might try to retaliate when he wakes up. Lucifer's usually pretty proud." Pocketing the Sitrus Berry, Raiza turned to walk off the field; she had no plans to continue the battle and to exhaust Toothless too. "... Good game."

"Ok,i guess..."James said as he stood back up and walked back to the seating area's."I should be happy i won but...why do i feel like i've pushed Liona and Shade too hard."He muttered as he sat down next to Henry."Hey,how'd your battle go?"James asked the kid sitting next to him.

Corona chirped to congratulate Raiza and James on their battle. She was released from her capsule shortly after Claude and Danielle settled into their seats to watch Kage and Slade's battle. The firebug had taken her place on Danielle's head after she realized that she was not used during Danielle's battle. Although Corona was a bit disappointed that she couldn't burn Kristen's hair "by accident," she was pleased that Zared and Avis had taken care of her.

Danielle was watching the remaining battle intently as Zared finished eating his berry. Avis was also by her side, although she was busy fixing her feathers. "Sorry that I don't have any more Sitrus berries for you, Zared. I will make sure to restock once we get back to school. And, also, someone has to remind me to take you to the medical room so that you two can properly heal up." Her three Pokemon each uttered a cry to say that they understood. Zared finally sat back up and stretched his tired muscles after he finished his late bite of food. With a few snaps of his horn, he became still and decided to watch the battle with the others. Danielle smiled and gave him a pat on the head, which elicited a happy response from the Mawile. "Thanks, buddy. You have done more than you know, believe me."

Henry saw the boy and was surprised someone was even talking to him. "That battle. I lost, but I've stopped caring about winning for a while now. Both my Pokemon did well, especially Burrows. Trying to teach a new trick in two days is easier said then done, but Gypsy must've done something behind my back because he performed them perfectly. As for pushing your Pokemon too hard..." He looked away trying not to look at the other boy. "It's just a sign you care about your Pokemon. I probably could've won my battle pushing Zuko way beyond his limits. A few months ago, I learned that pushing your Pokemon too hard will bite you in ass later."

Henry's attention focused on his group of four Pokemon who were playing with each other, including Zuko. "I wouldn't worry about it too much. Once you get past the fear of losing, it'll almost never happen."

Stratos

Lana was glad she could help. “Don’t worry about it. That’s where friends are for, right?” She gave Mareek a small smile in the hope he would cheer up again.

Jory

Kristen was inside her room. She was still raging she lost again Danielle and wasn’t planning to talk to someone soon.

However a certain steel bird’s eye fell on Jacob and Arete. She knew this boy. This was the same human that helped out her trainer when he was in trouble, so they were friends right? And if they were she had to do the polite thing; introduce herself. She hopped over and stared Jacob in the face. “Skaar!” she yelled proud and happy.

Murdoc and ExLink

Sasuke’s Water Pulse missed target. He was too exhausted and took too much damage already. Taking hits wasn’t exactly a strong point in the Greninja-line. Sasuke lost consciousness and was unable to battle.

((This is getting ridiculous and taking way too long. You’re at it for a week already))

When they'd walked off the field, Toothless popped out of his Pokeball and rasped and cried out to Raiza. "I know, I know. I'm sorry, I just don't want you guys to get too hurt," she explained, sitting on a smooth boulder not too far from Danielle, though she didn't notice it herself. At the moment she just didn't want to strain Toothless with walking since it looked like he wasn't about to give up. True enough, the little dragon wasn't letting up; why were they just giving up? Lucifer had given his all, and so had he. Now they were just letting this other Trainer go. "... We'll get him next time and we'll get even better, okay? I promise." Still pouting a little bit, the Deino accepted the Cheri his Trainer offered him and sat by her feet, chewing the spicy berry slowly. But wow, what a bummer. It'd been a while since she'd lost... Though it wasn't really losing she hated. She considered her team to be well... The most precious peo-- Pokemon that there were in existence. The effort they put into training, all washed down just like that.

"Snee." Rogue watched as her Trainer look down at her-- apparently she hadn't noticed that, along with the Skorupi, the Sneasel'd come out of her Pokeball for some air and to check on her teammates. Huh... so Lucifer was asleep, after all. Knowing him, he must've put up quite a fight... the sentient candle wasn't one to give up easily. Raiza, on the other hand... the Dark-Ice type put a paw on her Trainer's knee. "Snee, snee." A smile-- at least, whatever a Sneasel could come up with to smile and not smirk-- spread on her lips reassuringly. "Y-Yeah. He'll... he'll be okay, Rogue." Oh, boy-- wow, what a tight... hug...! But if it made her Trainer feel better... Rogue tried to return the gesture, wrapping her short arms around Raiza's neck-- carefully, so as not to slice her head into ribbons. For a while, both Trainer and Pokemon stayed that way... till Toothless leapt up to get in on the action, successfully pushing his way into the hug. On the sidelines, the Skorupi tilted her head, watching the odd group quietly. It seemed as though the Heatmor-- human... was that really what they were called?-- were going through a sort of... moody moment. And to make her feel better, everyone else was letting each other grab hold onto themselves... how weird.

"Right..." Mareek agreed, a bit more cheerful as he let go of Java and watching the computer generated entity hover back up to his normal cruising height. "Yeah... that's exactly what they're for." He looked over to Erce, catching her giving a very grateful look to the girl and java both, nodding her head at them earnestly. "Isn't that right, Erce?" he asked, eyes still focused on Java as he got back up to par from his injuries. The scyther turned to him with an expression on her face that perfectly said 'who, little ol me?' "Yes you, Don't think I don't see you," He continued, this time glancing at the scyther and smirking a little. "This is like the Hide and Seek games again, isn't it? You were up to something..."

Erce simply turned her head and looked away idly, parring her scythes against each other a little, a gesture Mareek knew from past experience meant she wasn't going to reveal anything. But the gleam in her eyes said it all.

"Not gonna say, huh? well thanks either way," he said to the scyther before turning back to Lana. "Anyways... looks like a lot of battles have finished so far. Maybe you'll be going up next soon; though hopefully you'll have more luck than Java and I did in our last fight...did you manage to find a new team member over the last few days?" The porygon meanwhile just rolled his eyes at the mere mention of that fluke from earlier, if that little Flaming lizard hadn't known Dragon Rage.... seems like the earlier moment of sentimentality had passed. It was back to the same Java as before: prideful and detached as ever and a bit of sore loser... but at least now it was known that he was capable of caring when it counted.

"Sasuke, return." Slade said with a hint of angry. It was not at Sasuke, it was at himself. Again, he pushed his pokemon too hard to the point where they were greatly injured. To make it worse there were stealth rocks on the feild, and puts Flare at a disadvantage. There were only two choices left Xemnas and 101. They would both resist Stealth Rock, but the tyrunt might have a dragon attack which would put Xemnas in trouble and weaken for the next pokemon. He has no idea what pokemon Kage has and if anything he could have a fairy type which would make one of Xemnas's moves useless. 101 though has alot of resistances and has a type advantage over tyrunt. Slade knew all these factors but he really didn't want to send out 101, seeing as in their last battle he tired himself out to the point of fainting. He stood there contemplating over it for a couple of seconds.

Before he even was confident enough to choose one, 101 came out of his ball with Slade even touching it. " TX, what are you doing? Aren't you mad at me for pushing you too hard in our last battle?" The Magnemite just gave an unamused look towards Slade and said, "Magnemite" as to say he wasn't mad, just a little disappointed at how Slade assumed he would be. "But, you were only able to keep battling because of Sturdy, aren't you mad that I didn't return you, instead had you keep fighting?" He asked the floating pokemon. "Magnemite." 101 said while shaking his body as to say, 'no' but then gave an angry "Magnemite mite!" to say, 'never do it again.' "So, do you really want to battle?" Slade asked as the pokemon nodded. "Then get out there, and be prepared for Stealth Rocks." The Magnemite then hovered his way into the field who then took damage from the Stealth Rocks, though it was resistant.

"Ok, 101 use magnet bomb on the tyrunt! Let's show everyone what we've got!" Slade said now with a with a fire in his eyes. He was determined now more then ever to win. 101 formed several small bombs and launched them towards the little dragon. They adjusted their trajectory slightly as being attracted to the dragon.

Reina's rage had cooled when the Frogadier was removed from her line of sight. She looked back to Kage for directions, but the fatigue of her prior encounter was clearly showing. Kage was reaching for her pokeball when he heard his opponent call out an attack. It was too late to recall his Tyrunt; the attack was already flying. "Surround yourself with Rock Tomb, quick." The Tyrunt mustered a heavy stomp, causing large slabs of rock to force themselves up out of the ground. Then, Kage turned to Slade and called out at him. "Hey, jackass, mind cooling it for a sec so I don't drive my Pokemon into the dirt?"

"Well, excuse me princess." Slade said sarcastically, "If you were going to switch you should've said something before." He said putting his hands on the back of his head waiting for his switch. He honestly didn't really care for his vulgar language, since he's dealt with worse then that in his life.

"Come over here and I'll show you who the princess is." He held out the red ball, recalling Reina before she could take any more hits. "Damnit," he muttered under his breath. None of his Pokemon were strong enough to pull off moves like Earthquake or Bulldoze, and he wasn't sure what type Lucas's Hidden Power was. "I would teach you a lesson, but unlike some people, I'm actually concerned about what happens to my Pokemon during the battle, so I won't try to force them past their limits. You win." He turned to walk away, frustration clearly evident on his face.
