Ever
I don't know if I use Mismagius or Gengar. Mismagius have a good movepool and Nasty Plot. Nasty plot makes anything OP. Gengar have good stats but there is no Sludge Bomb TM in Reborn so the best Poison-type STAB it can have is Clear Smog. So... which one should I use? Sonikku
Nasty plot might sound OP on Weavile but....haaaaah... Gengar is extremely useful in Reborn you can breed T-Bolt and Sludge Bomb from Grimer>Stunfisk>Gengar. If I was to pick, I would go for Gengar. Simon
Weavile O_o ? Its a Dark Type lol. But I would have to say Gengar/Chandelure would be the best if bred the right moves.
Etesian
Gengar is quite good, haven't had any experience with Mismagius in Reborn, but just to list some under-appreciated yet impressive ones: You could also wage war with statuses via Gourgeist. Leech Seed + Will-o-Wisp takes 1/4 of the foes health per turn, while Protect + Phantom Force makes you only get hit once in 3 turns. It also most definitely has the bulk to set up LS+WoW, since Ame implemented only the bulkiest one. For a more offensive one, there's Cofagrigus. No, really. Nasty plot from Spiritomb + Trick Room from Radomus + Shadow Ball + HP Fighting = GG.
Ever
Sludge Bomb? That's all I needs. I will use Gengar. But there is another move it learns by breeding besides T-bolt? I would really like a Ice Beam.
HolyKnight
Either Gengar or Chandelure works quite well in Reborn, and the last one works perfectly against the Fire Bitch.

I would really like a Ice Beam. Gengar can't learn Ice Beam, but remember this. In Ep13 gen 6 breeding mechanics were implemented. Meaning you can't breed tm moves. I recommend going back to a previous episode, get a Yamask to breed Will-o-Wisp. (Lv21) >Weezing/Koffing with Sludge Bomb>Gengar.

IMO, It'd be better of with T-bolt and S-Bomb (Stunfisk>Grimer>Gastly) instead of WoW, Gengar is better off with 3 attacks and Destiny Bond. Even with WoW, it has paper-thin defenses and rather than wearing a foe down, you can juat take 'em with you with DB. If you want to pass on a STAB move, you could go for Lotad/Petilil>Phantump>Solosis>Gastly to give it Energy Ball and Psychic.

Etesian
Etesian, How does Trevienant/ pumpkin thing learn Protect??? You're talking about Pumkpaboo/Gourgeist and it ets it from Yamask along with Will-o-Wisp.
elfen
You're talking about Pumkpaboo/Gourgeist and it ets it from Yamask along with Will-o-Wisp. Can Treveant learn it from that way?
Etesian
Can Treveant learn it from that way? They're the same Egg group (Amorphous) and the first evo-stage, Phantump, learns it via TM, so yes.
Deleted User
Trevenant is now obtainable as Phantumps can be found on route 3. Otherwise a couple of good Bulky Ghost pokemon are Dusclops/noir and Cofagrigus.

No eviolite yet, so go with Dusknoir or Cofagrigus Edited October 25, 2014 by AuthorReborn
NickCrash
Gengar can't get Sludge Bomb, but it can surely get a Sludge Wave via TM. Why not use that?

It can in (I think) E11 and earlier when Gen 5 breeding mechanics were still around.
Sonikku
Its actually the complete opposite. Gengar can learn Sludge bomb through tm/breeding with post gen 6 mechanics, and can't learn Sludge wave through tm or breeding. Any Gengar with Sludge wave got it from the dream world. Oh that's right, Ame decided to leave that in even though Gamefreak took it out. So yeah that breeding chain is absolutely correct.
