saltwater
I'm trying to farm heartscales using the luvdisc thief method, my only problem is I have no idea where keckleon is. Is there any other pokemon that know this move or any way to get a tm containing thief? If not where do I catch keckleon?
Nova
An alternative for Kecleon with Thief is Linoone with Covet. Zigzagoon can be found in the Obsidia alleyway (near the Opal Bridge), but it's a one-time event. Kecleon is located in Tanzan Mountain, but it doesn't pop up often. Deleted User
Do you have the itemfinder yet? Use it everywhere, you'll find a couple. If you don't have it, go to the nature center on the Northwest corner of Route 1 at the research center. Talk to the scientists, one of them gives it to you. AuthorReborn
If you want to find Heart Scales on Luvdisc a bit easier, I would recommend reverting to Episode 10.5 or so. Make sure you deposit all your fairies and sixth gen pokemon before you revert though.

The older episodes are not on the Reborn website for downloading as your leisure, however you may be able to find them through your preferred search engine or another member may have it somewhere. NOTE: This is not advised, please do so at your own risk, by doing so you do run the chance of the game files corrupting. I'd strongly advise against reverting, especially with Pre Gen 6 episodes, just so many things that could go wrong. If you do, PLEASE back-up your save file before doing so. Arkhi
With the maps so dramatically changed, switching between episodes with a save is risky business. If you plan on going to an older episode, make a copy of your save first.
Simon
Another alternative that I personally use is Furret with the ability Frisk so I can see if the Luvdisc actually has the Heart Scale on it or not.
xellon
Espurr gets covet to and at a low lvl and u can get noibats in all the caves that can have the frisk ability plus get a scater bug with compund eyes ability make him faint and put him in the first spot of ur team that increses ur chance of geting items on wild pokes...Hope this helps Edited November 3, 2014 by xellon
WhiteCorw
Would it be possible to have a Pokemon with Compund Eyes at first spot, a second spot with a Sweet Scenting Pokemon (both fainted), and a Pokemon on third spot with Frisk? Hashill
Fainted Compound Eyes mon does work, yeah. That's a pretty solid way to get Black Sludges, too.
WhiteCorw
Gotta try that.. Could we practically steal the leftovers from the TMNT trainer from the grand hall with covet? Covet can steal a non-player character's Pokémon's items permanently. In link battles and Secret Bases items stolen will be returned at the end of the battle. From Bulbapedia. alaneapen
If you steal items from trainers, you cannot keep them. I also wanted the leftovers and also the choice band from the psychic Wednesday trainer.

Actually theres a glitch where you can steal and keep items from trainers you team up with, Aya, Shelly, Cain, Victoria I'm not sure if its fixed yet. I'm fairly certain this is still broken, so you can steal things like an Assault Vest from Aya. Also, early game Espurr which starts with covet, steal everything Fern has when you team up with him and then proceed.
