Jelly
This thread is inspired by the "What're YOU listening to?~" thread. Tell us what you are reading! It can be anything. Books, articles, journals, textbooks, a cool reddit post, anything! I'll start it off with this neat article about how UAB have found a way to cure diabetes in lab mice! So, what are you reading? Support Squad Felicity Posted November 7, 2014 Support Squad Share Posted November 7, 2014 Parasyte manga Ehhhh, did you start because of the anime too? Right now, I'm reading a rather depressing Kindle book known as Halo of thorns, which takes the good ol' idea of having a bad guy be a good guy, but putting it into perspective, as in it's the devil we know, whos rather evil himself Vs EVERYTHING FUCKING ELSE. I also have a sneaky feeling I'll be starting to read the Rozen Maidens manga, I think that's the name. Oh, and I will always be reading the Dresden files, it's my Bible, I love it so much. Maelstrom
I started the Scions of Shannara, the first of four books by Terry Brooks. Kept seeing Shannara and the author's name in book stores so I decided to try it out. That is incidentally how I started reading the WoT series. Soft Taco Bear
I finished The Assassin's Curse by Cassandra Rose Clarke last week, so I started its sequel, The Pirate's Wish, the day before yesterday. Last night I stayed up too late just because I didn't want to put it down. ._.; Next up is Freedom by Daniel Suarez because I imagine I'll be done with The Pirate's Wish soon. Though I think she has another book called The Automaton's Treasure that I might check out.

Magus
I read Paradise Lost, it's about how Satan got kicked out of heaven and the introduction of sin, but the point of view is from Satan. Pretty interesting, also best quote is from Satan. "Better to rule in Hell, than serve in Heaven. Anyways it's a good read.

Flux
Just finished Dusk by Tim Lebbon. It's an adult dark fantasy and I'd highly recommend it. It takes place in a dystopian world in which magic has disappeared due to the events of the Cataclysmic War. I won't spoil too much, but the premise is that magic is returning and it needs to be kept safe from those who would steal it and those who would destroy it until it is ready to be released into the world. The author doesn't hold back at all in his narrative. Things don't go as you'd expect in a classic tale... I'll be reading the sequel, Dawn, whenever it gets here in the mail. ej190
Reading H.I.V.E right now. Although it says something about the book that i keep reading fanfics between the story chapters. Online i'm reading WORM, which is a somewhat grimdark story about a world with superpowers. And Ashes of the past by Saphroneth, a fanfic where Cyrus succeeds in getting the time-space trio to destroy the world. Arceus sends Ash back to the start to stop him. Its actually a light, humorous story and pretty much the best pokemon fanfic i've ever read.
