Murdoc

((Last post for tonight, I'll try and get you moving in the story, at least. I think Snap is done, right?))

After dealing with the young woman, Nigel continued along the line. Eventualy, the line dwindled, and the last peerson left was a young man. Nigel waved him in, giving a reassuring smile this time. The man looked shaken up, and Nigel knew not to mess with people at times like that. When the man walked in, Nigel addressed him. "Hello there, I'm Nigel, the shields representative. Do you have any questions?"

Nigel sighed. He really didn't want to have to drag answers out of this man but he seemed to be quite shy, judging from his, brief answer and generally nervy attitude. "Well, I'll need a name, first off, and maybe a reason for joining us? We can't very well have people randomly joining us with grand expectations you know..."

"Well I wouldn't just leave someone to be falsely accused, now would I?" Jackson looked down on the girl. "I don't think I caught your name in all of that? May I have the pleasure of knowing it?" The man held Sabrina's hand in his own.

He looked at his feet for a moment before answering. "I'm Haru, and mostly I want to help the Living Quarter out. It's not the nicest place. . ." Maybe this was a mistake. Politics wasn't really the place for someone like him, but somebody had to say something.

Sabrina smiled coyly. She hadn't given it too much thought, but this man was quite, tall, to say the least. "I'm Sarina Maynine." She replied, not immediately jerking her hand away.

Nigels curiosity was peaked. This man specifically wanted to make the Living quarters better, not just the whole city. "Well, I could have told you that, Haru. I must tell you, that will be difficult, that is the traditional territory of the Swords, we have no power there. Do you still want to join us?"

"Very well. You shall be found tomorrow by my associates and you shall be take with other candidates to be interviewed. Is that fine? And do you have any questions? Assumptions are bad you know..." A smirk now rested on Nigels face. He hoped there were no questions. Simple misunderstandings led to some of the most entertaining times...

"What a lovely name for a lovely woman." Jackson zealously planted a kiss on top of Sabrina's hand. "I'm Jackson Benedict. And my gift..." Jackson slipped of the glove on his right hand, and allowed it to hover over his hand. "... Is your typical telekinesis."

Thomas could no longer keep his silence.

This is a trustworthy group of people... all of them are willing to do something about the inequality between gifted and others, and the doubt between the population...

He got up from the bench and walked over to the group.

"Hello. I have heard a good bit of your conversation. My name is... Far. That's what you should call me. I have kept myself hidden for the duration of this day, as I didn't want to fall to someone untrustworthy. Anyway, I like your ideals and goals, and I strive toward the same ones. Anyway, I hope we can keep what is going on somewhat confidential. We don't want any information leaked, or things may get out of hand."

September 8th Monday 5076; Around 10-12:30

Annie & Surge

After a rather excruciating night of interrogation from the strange apparition in her mind, Cara was eventually told, under threat of migraine, to head to a rather run down shop in the living quarters. Similarly, Lucille and Elemus arrived near enough the same time to see Cara waiting outside as well. This was the adress given them by Elizabeth... Nothing to do but enter...

Tacos

After the events of the day, Jackson had returned to his house to find a single, simple letter asking him to head to a destination in the School quarter, the letter making the situation seem incredibly important. The place waiting for him was a somewhat ordinary home, that looked more like the place a family of decently earning Giffted would reside. It was fairly small, with only 2 floors and a single large window overlooking the street on the second floor, with only a door to allow entrance into the first floor. It was a rather large, metal door with a compartment to allow someone to see through it.

Commander & Gotwala

Emelia, having followed the note Timms had given her, Emelia came to a police depot on the edge of the Living quarter. This depot was also Richards workplace. If she entered, she would see Richard getting berated for causing such a stir at the School yesterday and disregarding what Timms tried to teach him in front of the entire precinct.

Snap & Murdoc

The two had been going about their daily routines, when a man appeared to each of them. simultaneously, He was dressed in black, had brown slicked back hair and black rimmed glasses. "I am here to take you to the designated Interview location alongside any other candidates, who are being brought by my clone counterparts. Please, come along." His tone left no choice outside of outright refusing him. If They wanted to join the Shields, they'd have to go with him...

Anyone who went to the Steelsword Pub

It was here that most of our "Heroes" found themselves, not drawn in by the politics of the city, but rather the machinations of the people. When each of them arrived, Abigail, the woman from yesterday, was already ranting about the horrid way that Gifted were treated, "And so, what say you, my friends? Do we continue to allow those fools to toy with the city as they please, or do we take the power into our own hands! I say we rebel!" The declaration spread through the crowd like wildfire,, lighting the fires in their bellies and sent sparks flying from their lips in the form of whispers and yells alike. It looked like some people wanted to speak up, either in support or opposition of this, but none had spoken yet...

"Is it me, or does this place suddenly look shittier than usual?" Elemus thought to himself as looked around at the run down place's exterior, actually seeing it for the first time rather than just catching it with his periphery, as he had often only done before. He had honestly never really paid much attention to the shop, never had much reason to...

"Are you ready?" he asked Lucille, all the while taking note of the other woman who had already been waiting there before them.

"As ready as I'll ever be..." with that said, Lucille went inside, Her employee following close behind.

Richard stood at attention as he took the verbal assault in stride, comparatively to how things had gone with Lieutenant Timms. I have prepared myself for this from Chief Montgomery. My inability to repress my feelings has only caused grief within the department. However, these complaints are unreasonable. I had attempted to do my duty to the people of Trevalus by apprehending a rogue Gifted, only to be accosted by Gifted simply because they did not care for the very laws that protect them. The flaw comes from our laws protecting vermin that would disrespect our way of life. I cannot falter.

"I understand that my actions have reflected poorly on the Trevalus Police Department! I have faltered in my conviction and have disgraced your good name with my insolence and pride!" Apologized Richard as his gaze remained locked onto Montgomery. "To ask your forgiveness would be presumptuous on my part! I can only rectify my actions and serve Trevalus better in the future!"

Thomas heard the crowd and its enthusiasm for rebelion.

Everybody's in favor of a rebelion... perhaps... is this what the white-cloaked man wanted? Chaos? Violence? If so, then they're achieving that task greatly... I'm greatly in opposition to this, but I won't be listened to by this crowd, the mood is against it, and greatly. I need to look through this crowd for someone who shares my opinion, and knows how to treat it rationally...

Looks like Officer Dumbass works here. At least he's getting what he deserves. Emelia's mind didn't usually focus on thinking poorly of others. It was just that this man had no sense of honor which seemed to bother her. She looked around a bit noticing a couple other people when she realized she still had the mask. It probably would be frowned upon if she hid her face from the people she'd be working for so she slowly pulled it off her face without having any of her hair be untucked. Truthfully, she didn't want anyone to think she was suspicious or a criminal.

Under the mask, there weren't any scars or anything unusual concealed. Even without that mask, it would be very difficult to notice she was actually a female. The fierce look on her face along with a bit of dirt from her hand made the distinction nearly impossible.

Reyn sat at the end of the pub watching the people scream for a rebellion. "Teh fools," Reyn mummbled to himself, "Risking the lives of you and the people close to you." Reyn sighed as he got up from his table. 'If anyone's going to stop mass killings in the city it should be now.' He thought to himself as he made he way through the crowd,

"And do you know what happens when people rebel carelessly and violently like this?" Reyn said as he made it into the middle of the group, hands in his pockets, "Mass killings, and not just the people fighting. The lives of innocent people and your family's lives all at risk. Not only that you'll start mass chaos throughout the city. Furthermore everything our city as tried so hard to make up to this point could and will be destroyed. Many years of your and the fore father's work down the drain." He looked at the girl in the middle with fierce piercing eyes, "Are you willing to risk the destruction of the entire town just because of one incident, if anything that could be the perpetrator's plan from the beginning and you're walking right into it."

Desmond winced as he didn't really expect a rebellion as listen through the crowd, he just thought this meeting was just a peaceful discussion on how to handle the perpetrator and bringing him/her to justice, this is bollocks! Maybe i should join the politics after all.. or maybe i should stay neutral... Neutral sounds nice..Desmond takes a sip from herbal tea at the counter as he listen to the man from yesterday that's making a lot of good points and the woman leading the rebellion. perhaps things could turn around.

Kyrie nodded, she made sure that she had nothing scheduled today, and had just awkwardly bought a coffee at a cafe because she wasn't quite sure when or how they would track her down. Clones made sense, she should have expected as much. Giving a nod in farewell to the older gent she was talking to, the hydrokinetic lady followed the stranger.

Murdoc & Snap

The two followed the man through the city towards a place in the School district which was decorated in the Shields logo, a simple blue shield of course, that they knew as the Shields place of operations. They both arrived at roughly the same time alongside six other people who looked rather confused. Upon arrival, the two version of the man immediately dissipated and merged with the other version of himself, like two smoke clouds coming together. Once this was done, he addressed the crowd. His monotone voice spread easily through the entry way they were all standing in. "Each of you were brought here because you all showed an interest in joining our party and our representative" He spat the last word, the first inflection of emotion in his voice any of them had heard " Has deemed you acceptable for joining us. Each of you will follow a version of myself to your actual interviewer, who you must reveal your Gift to in one way or another, and you will naturally be interviewed. Best of luck" And with the end of that dismal speech, everyone present was brought to a small room with a table and an interviewer sitting at it.

When Kyrie arrived, she found Nigel sitting there, naturally anticipating her arrival. "Good morning my dear, nice to see you again so soon." He said, very happy with who he had been given to interview. When Solace arrived, he found a very large, very smiley man waiting for him. The man had a wide grin on his face, as though he had just been reunited with a long lost friend. He had Sky blue eyes that gleamed behind a head of ragged hair and a mask of even worse facial hair.

Gotwala & Commander

Eventually Richard was dismissed, Montgomery and the rest of the staff returning to their duties as they tried to wage war on crime through paperwork.

((I'm going to give you a chance to interact first, should you want to))

Stratos & Annie

((I dunno where Annie is, I'll pm her, to see if she can get going, but for now unfortunately, I can't go through with this little segment completely until I know what's going down.))

When the two entered, they found a group of men, armed with chipped Steelwood swords and ragged leather armour gather around poker playing a card game of their own invention. They all turned to glare at the pair. "hoo the fack are you? Whadd'ya want?" One of them spoke, a weedy little man who seemed to be the voice of the group.

Steelsword Pub

The crowd roared in disapproval at Reyn, the unknown voice trying to argue against the desire for violence. "Oh really? Let me tell you!" Abigail roared, egging the crowd on even as she struggled to be heard herself. "We aren't treated like shit! Shit is dealt with, it's at least an issue great enough for people to try and sort out with a sewr system! To the government, we aren't even relevant enough to pay attention too! The Shields claim to want to help everyone, but what have they done? They've fucked us over! That's what they've done! Do you now how many people have left for Praxia and Secaras? Finally done with this city? Too many! We must fight to be heard, not live in fear of those heartless bastards!" All the while, a light red mist, barely visible to the eye, was being released from her palms...

Tacos

Jacksons knock caused the panel to open, but there were noe eyes there to greet or evaluate him. There was only a strange darkness. After a moment, the locks on the door clunked open, and the door drifted open, leaving it free for Jackson to enter.

Solace looked around nervously. There was something. . . off . . . about the man that was supposed to be interviewing. This whole situation was different from what he had expected. The Shields seemed kind of hostile so far, which didn't make sense. They were supposed to be the "people's voice," right? Also, he was supposed to show his interviewer his gift? He didn't want to hurt anyone. Maybe the man was feeling some sort of pain? That must be it. Solace reached out mentally and tried to pull any pain the man might have been experiencing to himself.

Jackson was suspicious of what laid before him. But curiosity killed the UnGifted cat. He stepped inside, but stopped the door from swinging shut and perhaps locking him inside, by allowing the disturbance from his hands to grab hold of the door handle to prevent it from closing. He crept slowly into the house, ever so cautious as to what could be inside.

Murdoc

The mans face never changed. "Do you mind if I ask what you're doing? This is an interview you know, I was thinking you might ant to introduce yourself. Ah, but nevermind that, my name is Dorian, and so that there's a bit of give and take, let me tell you my Gift, yeah? I have an Extremely high pain tolerance." Dorian offered, hoping to relax Solace.

Tacos

A voice rang out in the darkness."You must let go. To enter is to commit here, Let go, and you will have some answers..." Jacson could just as easily run away, but there didn't seem to be any danger in this situation, provided he kept a level head...
