Venipede breeding

Hi guys, I am trying to breed a venipede with protect and poison jab, but am having trouble with it. I bred a male dustox (w/ protect) with a female venipede and got a female venipede with protect. Then I bred that with a male spinarak with poison jab and got two venipedes, neither of which had protect or poison jab. Please help, thanks.

Poison Jab is a TM, which cannot be passed down with Gen VI breeding mechanics, which are what E13 has. If you want Protect and Poison Jab, you'll have to go back to E12 or earlier.

That same chain you've mentioned will work just as well, only you'll breed a female Spinarak with Protect using that Dustox, level it up for Poison Jab, and then breed that with a female Venipede. (Not that you really need to, since Venipede learns Protect via level up anyway- you could just as easily just breed for Poison Jab.)

Spot-on. Just breed Beedrill/Spinarak>Venipede in E12 or earlier for Poison Jab, then have the new Venipede get to level 15 and it'll have Poison Jab and Protect. Now if only it could get Swords Dance somehow...
